The estimate given to me in September was hours which was completely different from the paperwork that was spring on me the day before and the day of the move We had no choice but to pay what they asked at that point They also said men, one of which sat in the truck telling the other two “where to put things because I have a bad back” I called the business, they emailed the form which was then filled out and BOTH FAXED AND MAILEDI asked if we should follow up and they said they would be in touch I notified them of the claim days after the move! They knew I was making the claim and now are blatantly lying to get out of responsibility If they want to take things apart, that is fine, but don’t leave it in a condition where it is unable to be reassembled!

Thank you for your response, did you inform your doctor of the missing prescription? Why didn't he replace it immediately? If you are claiming it was stolen have you filed a police report so we can investigate each and every person on your job? Did you have any other people at either of your homes when you were moving? At this time we will fully cooperate with the police and again I do not mind offering the cover your prescription cost in an effort of good faith

We are wanting the practices of All My Sons addressed They are unfair to the consumer You cannot possibly know before the crew leaves your house if your property has been damaged or not Our claim was denied on the premises that we signed a form at the end of our move stating all
goods were in proper condition The next day when I went to put the drawers they left laying all over the floor back in the dresser they took them out of it was realized they would not go back in properly So because we signed that form on the spot we are not entitled to claim This needs to be made apparent to the consumer Had I known this I would not have signed the formAll I wanted is the dresser repaired as it has sentimental value to my husband and I They also do not need to tell people to leave the clothes in the drawers if that means they are going to be taking the drawers outI would have packed the clothes if I had known this There are many practices we have seen during this move that end up cheating the consumer and they need to be addressed

Peter *** - Estimator - Moving Specialist & Advisor (self-proclaimed partial owner) came to my house and LIED to us in the selling moving services from one home to another 1) Made a point of telling us that All My Sons does NOT charge travel time from the shop to the moving location and that this was something that set them apart from the competition(I called him once the movers advised me of the $"Travel Time Charge" and the separate $Fuel chargeHe said "sorry, you must have misunderstood." I asked him if he remembered sitting on my sofa and making this claim Quote was for movers Only showed up Service charge was consistent with quote, but 25% of promised man-power was absent from the agreed service Movers damaged personal property and roughed up both old and new home locationsI called *** during the move and a week after to allow him to recovery the folly Nevertheless, I am left with having paid the full bill and damaged property

Actually I wouldn't give them any starsI've moved times in my life and this company is the worse everThe very first piece of furniture damaged also hit the wall and damaged the wallIt commenced at four different wall damages, which they did not repair and I had a total of over in damages which a professional furniture repair company gave me the estimateI was instructed to send in pictures by their district manager which showed that they didn't even use the pads but just the shrink wrapAnd with the shrink wrap still on it was ripped and you could see the damage!And the customer service department lied to me twice and they only want to settle for based on their so called bill of lading which is a joke, considering I was instructed by a managerOne of the movers even lied to me after I saw the damage to a wall and stated he didn't do it! The other mover supposedly, "in charge" failed to turn in the pictures he took of the damage to the local office! I have over emails to various people trying to solve this as well as the expense of hiring a professional to assess the damage! I was even told by the local manager who is not there anymore that, "this is wrong and someone has dropped the ball"However the new manager also told me

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:
In reading this response, I was initially surprised and mildly insulted by the words of Mr. John K**, a person with whom I have never spoken but is apparently the profiteer behind this business.  Then I realized that it is perfect reflection of this company and my experience with its services- full of false claims, unpleasant and ultimately unacceptable.  So, here I shall address his claims:
-The estimate was within 10% of the ultimate cost: Nope.  The estimate was filled in after the move.  Even that is wrong in their calculations, as they filled it in for 9 hours and took 6.
-Change order:  There was no change. That part of the move was discussed at the initial reservation, the call on Fridayand when the movers arrived on Saturday.  We didn't request a change or additional truck- they suggested it.  We specifically asked if that would change the rates and they said no, but then said it would double it when the truck finally arrived.
-Late in the day:  They arrived much later than they said, after 2 pm.  When I called with concerns at 12, having not heard from them, they said we were in second position and it could be 5 minutes or 5 hours.  That was not what I was told when I made the reservation.  
-Human shield: This is my favorite part of the rebuttal.  We had no idea that my husband standing on the ramp, observing, would become a dangerous situation until their mover told a guy to take the ramp down.  There was no moving taking place at that point, as we had arrived at the extortion stage.  I'm interested that John didn't address why his movers deliberately withheld half our move and said the truck was completely unloaded?
-Police: They called the police after I did, probably as a CYA maneuver.
-Settlement attempts/chargeback: I don't know what this means. Someone from corporate in Texas called me the next week and authorized a refund for the amount I disputed on the card (the difference in the amount for 6 hours versus the amount they charged me). He asked me what it would take to drop my charges.  I said that at this point, a full refund but more importantly to STOP doing this to people and inform me of the changes in policies and personnel which had taken place.
-Strive to exceed customer expectations:  Yelp says differently.  I'm not alone in this experience, unfortunately.

MESSAGE FROM BUSINESS:
We are in receipt of the complaint file by the above referenced consumer. We treat all our customers fairly andhandle any complaints with the highest standard of care.
Upon reviewing this complaint, it appears that there a clear misunderstanding about the total cost of the move.The complainant erroneously asserts that our company "doubled the fee" or "wanted twice the estimate" whenin fact our final bill for services was within 10% of the original estimate that was given prior to the start of ourservices.
We performed a visual onsite estimate prior to the start of our services as we do with all moves within[redacted] State. This estimate was given and accepted by signature by the consumer. The estimated laborcosts associated with this move was to entail nine hours of services (8 hours labor+ 1 hour return travel @$175.80 per hour) with a total cost of $1 ,582.20.
The driver did execute a change order (addendum) to the original estimate that added 1 additional hour toaccommodate delivery of a bedroom set to a different address in [redacted]. The change order wasrequested by the customer since they had concerns that it was getting late in the day, and they did not want towait until the movers unloaded the truck before they returned back to the origin address to pick-up the bedroomset. The hourly rate was adjusted for exactly 1 hour to complete this task, not for the entire move. The otheralternative was to wait for the movers to complete the un-load and then return for the bedroom set.
Ultimately, the change order/addendum had no meaningful bearing on the overall cost of the move, since wewere within 10% of the original estimate.
As a parent myself, I'm disturbed by the idea that a parent would use their infant as a human shield as a meansto compel our workers to cease their duties. It's one thing to be dissatisfied with the services, and another todeliberately place an infant in harms way where workers are unloading furniture that can weigh severalhundred pounds in wet and dark conditions. I'm not sure how such a decision can ever become a good idea.
Nevertheless, our office contacted the [redacted] police to remedy the dangerous activity and we ceasedservices until it was safe to resume.
We strive to exceed customer expectations with every move and we're disappointed thatwe did not reach our target. Unfortunately, any settlement attempts have been stalled until paymentchargeback proceedings have run its course.
