Allstate Insurance Reviews (%countItem)

I went into this company years ago and got a quote on auto insurance. I just received information in the mail denying my coverage that I requested. I have not requested in years. Upon further examination the coverage is for Fire and Casualty insurance which I would have never requested. After contacting their location for Kyle ***- Grand Junction (contact on the letter) I was told that they decided to "update my information". I did not authorize them to pull my consumer report. I have filed a complaint with the *** and with their corporate headquarters. This is completely unacceptable and I believe illegal. I did not authorize this and will be taking further steps to ensure that no one has this happen to them again.

I paid off my mortgage (i.e. there is no mortgage on property) and, on 3/12/18, I cancelled my flood insurance policy that was required ONLY when a mortgage is on the property and requested immediate (pro-rated) refund of my flood insurance payment. As of today, Ms. has failed to refund my payment.

I am sending this letter as a formal complaint regarding Allstate Insurance Co. My catalytic converter was stolen off my 2004 *** March 1 2018. See claim #*** made on March 5 Because the catalytic converter is a permanent part of the vehicle, its theft should be covered under the vehicle’s comprehensive coverage - which I have paid for since my policy effective date of November 18, 2015. For the past 3 years I have paid for full coverage to Allstate on my 2004 *** which included liability, collision and comprehensive insurance. Danny *** located in a California branch of Allstate at 909-***-*** denied replacement of my catalytic converter (claim #***), failing to comply with my insurance coverage. Danny *** claims that the catalytic converter fell under the Betterment Adjustment. According to an article posted on Allstate’s website in 2015, If you have comprehensive coverage with your car insurance, though, you may not have to foot the bill for replacing the converter. Comprehensive coverage typically includes coverage for damage not caused by a collision, such as vandalism, a broken windshield caused by a fallen tree branch or theft of a car or parts of the car. It will typically cover the loss above the amount of the deductible that you pay (see Allstate’s link https://www.allstate.com/tools-and-resources/car-insurance/catalytic-converter-i... ). Allstate has been practicing unfair practices against me and has failed to promptly provide a reasonable explanation for the denial of my claim or offer a settlement.

I recently purchased a home and received home insurance from Allstate. My initial paperwork with allstate said my roof was estimated to be 3 years old. About five days ago I received a letter from Allstate saying they changed the age of my roof to 16 years old AND they are cancelling my insurance because the roof is buckling. I have had two licensed roofers come out and it is in fact not buckling nor is it anywhere near 16 years old. Its about 9 years old so not only did did they say my roof was 3 years old, now they are saying it is 16 years old. How this is even legal is beyond me.

Allstate Insurance does not take care of diminished Value when one of their insurance drivers are at fault. After having 6K worth of damage to a new 2018 Camry with less then 6000 miles they offer us $2,500.00 or told us to get an attorney. My parent have been with Allstate for over 20 years; they just lost another customer. Very poor customer services.

I am a first time home buyer and already had to file a claim. This whole thing has been a disaster. No one knows what they are doing and I am always talking to someone new. You should only have to deal with your agent! The agent should be taking care of everything that needs to be done. What is the point in having an agent when they don't do anything anyways. It took them over a week for someone to come to look at my roof so now I have inside damage that needs to fixed a.s.a.p. but they are not working with me and they wont talk to the person who is trying to fix everything. This is the worse insurance company I have every had to deal with and I would not recommend this company to anyone!!!!!!! Horrible service. Just disgusted with these people! Will be shopping for new insurance when the claim is closed!

I’ve been a loyal 19-year Allstate customer and have multiple home and life insurance policies. I have NEVER filed a claim with Allstate until recent. The roof of my home was damaged during a severe wind storm on March 2-3, 2018. I filed my first ever claim with Allstate on March 5, 2018. Three weeks have now passed since filing my claim and I am no closer to having my roof fixed. I have endured repeated reassignments, no shows, reschedules, delays, and phone calls not being returned by Allstate and their roof inspection company Hancock Claims Consultant, just to get an assessment. Despite the evidence and determination from 2 independent licensed inspectors that I hired stating that the roof is unrepairable and must be replaced, Allstate finally came back on 3/19 stating they want to repair 77 missing shingles and close the claim, not even mentioning the dozens of other damaged/elevated shingles. I have provided all evidence to Allstate and am still getting bounced around with no resolution. I reject Allstate’s 3/19 assessment and have supplied overwhelming evidence why repair is not an option.

On 3/20, Allstate (claim adjuster #3) called asking if the claim could be CLOSED AGAIN. Once again, I had to explain everything and was ultimately asked to send my information to Allstate so they could review. The next day, I sent Allstate all the pictures, reports, letters and estimate as requested. However, despite my daily repeated efforts and conversations with both the adjuster and now manager, all I’m being told is that they are leaving messages internally with “OTHER” people to review, no names provided. Meanwhile, my roof still remains damaged and susceptible to further damage now that it’s rained and snowed. I have had to miss work on several occasions costing me several hundred dollars each day, paid for a separate inspection out of my own pocket and am distressed with this whole ordeal.

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because:Another Allstate POC called on 3/27 to inform that they will assign another adjuster and will schedule a re-inspection with another of Allstate's adjuster on 3/31. The pics, reports, letters and estimate that were sent in by me on 3/21 to Allstate have not yet been reviewed by the "new" adjuster which won't be assigned until Friday 3/30. I have attached a few pics that I took as an example of some of the damage.

Sincerely,

Marc

Signed policy with Amy *** in Cody *** office to begin on 4/1/2018. After an experience with another staff member, who made a racially insensitive remark directed towards me (Joanne ***), while I was in the office making an address change I decided that I did not want to continue business with such a company. Before I left the building, another staff member (Shayna ***) very vocally and audibly complained to Ms *** about the irritation she was experiencing in her vagina from an experience she had the evening before. Ms *** replied with a story of how Pandas are very susceptible to catching Chlamydia. Mr. did not seem to mmind this type of behavior while clients were present. Both him, and the two girls employed by Allstate insurance at the Cody *** agency were smiling and laughing while drinking what appeared to be alcoholic beverages. I sent Mr *** a message today to cancel my policy, and he did not respond. When asked about the racist remark made to me he also had nothing to say. A couple hours after I sent the request to cancel my policy, I received a phone call from Ms ***, and leaving a very rude voicemail stating that the only way she would cancel my policy was if I typed a letter and sent it by fax (to which no fax number was left). Clearly there is a serious lack of responsibility occurring at this office, or should I rephrase that by saying “adult supervision.”

I am not a customer of Allstate Insurance; however when I was hit by their policyholder, Allstate did an incredible job. They deposited money into my account the same day to get repairs started. Everyone that I spoke with during the process was extremely helpful. Even though I was lost in the process they directed me to the correct individuals. From start to finish the entire process took two weeks. I had my car back very quickly. I did have to request a supplemental form for additional funds to complete the repairs, and it was accepted. All I can say is read the paperwork very carefully and follow their procedures to the best of your ability and if in question, call someone. I attribute the process going very smoothly because I was always asking questions, didn't assume anything, and it helps if you get agents that are awesome, like I did. I am very surprised to see all the negative comments because my experience with them was completely opposite.

I filed a homeowners insurance claim back in March of 2017 and am still, a year later, being given the run around as I try to recuperate the damages to my home. I have left many many messages to my claims adjuster without a call back, and sent multiple emails with no response either. We have many issues with our claim that are still unresolved, causing us to be delayed in the replacement of the siding of our home after a hails storm. The siding previously on the home is no longer manufactured, and I was told by my adjuster that if this was the case, and determined true by their analysis, which it was, that it would be covered to replace all sides of the home (only two sides were damaged). After requiring me to cut off a 1 ft long piece of our siding off the house for their analysis, rendering the siding ineffective, our adjuster came back and said no, they will not cover all four sides of the house. We got estimates to replace the two sides and paint the other sides to match, since there is no product that comes close to matching, and now the insurance agent won't call me back! For two weeks now I have had no communication from them and am constantly directed to voicemails. No responses to me emails either. We need this resolved to fix our home!

I am having issues with my coordinator, Mr. Michael ***. I have sent him an official contractor bid showing number based same system that Allstate uses and different of the numbers. I was told that he would use those number to come up with a new estimate and he never has. He continues to tell me that he is waiting on his manager to approve it. It has been almost two months and nothing has been resolved. My family is affected by mold and we have been forced out of our room since January. If we were in a hotel, Allstate would have already settled this matter. I have sent him all requested bids and he continues to not acknowledge that he has them. He continues to say that I need to send in supplemental into him. I’m requesting call back from regional manager or higher. I have already tried to work with his supervisor but haven’t got anywhere with that.

Horrible, horrible, horrible. I’ve been a customer for 27 years. Customer service is unbelievably bad. Each year they get worse. Premiums go up and up and up. Good luck filing a claim, depending on your zip code, I can guarantee substandard service. Will be switching.

I am writing to complain about the ineffective claim handling of Allstate insurance. For reference, the claim number is ***. On December 15, I was struck from behind by a driver who is an Allstate client, and I filed a claim immediately. Since my car was too damaged to drive safely, I requested a rental car from Allstate so that I could continue going to work and school. Allstate assured me that they would cover the costs of the rental car, especially since they determined that their driver was at fault in the accident. They allowed me to rent a modestly sized car from ***. However, they ended the rental after a mere two weeks, leaving me unable to do my daily commute any longer. I don’t have the funds to fix my vehicle, which was heavily damaged, and I have yet to receive any notice about damage estimates from the adjustor they sent to inspect my car. Without a damage estimate, I cannot bring my vehicle to my mechanic for repairs. It’s been more than two months now since my accident, and this issue still has not been resolved. Not only has Allstate been very slow to handle this claim, it has been very difficult to contact them with questions regarding my claim. I often had to call multiple times and leave several messages, and even then I had to wait days before somebody would respond to my calls. Although they have improved recently with this aspect, they always respond with “the claim is being processed.” I have yet to be told when they expect the claim to be processed, and I have been left hanging for two months without any information about when and how much I will be compensated. They have admitted that their driver is at fault, and they have classified my vehicle as a total loss, but that’s it. I understand that I am not their customer, but as somebody who was affected by one of their clients I have a right to acceptable service and not being neglected like this. They cannot just leave someone hanging for two months with minimal assistance or information. I have no clue when this issue will be resolved because they haven’t given me any information whatsoever, and I need the compensation to fix my car. This is completely unacceptable.

I am rejecting this response because:

We want you to explain what happened with this case in the Revdex.com forum so that all customers can know how bad Allstate's service is. If I have to wait for the Department of Insurance to come up with a resolution, at the very least Allstate should tell me what is going on and why I have been left hanging. Whatever happened to "You're in good hands"??

Sincerely, Steven

On 4/26/2017, Wkilliam J. *** of Allstate Insurance reported to the claim of Dock *** at *** Drive Jackson, Ms ***2 to inspect the claim made by the insurer due to issues with his roof. The inspector did not go inside the residence to do a through inspection of roof. Mr. did not discuss the details of the inspection nor did he forward the results from the inspection. Mr. requested another inspection because he was not satisfied with the results .
A second inspection was conducted on 5/9/2017 by Marshall *** at 9:50 am at *** Drive the residence of Dock ***. After, the re-inspection Mr. refused to complete the inspection due to the questions that Mr. was asking about the inspection. Mr. asked inspecting the inside of the house where the mold, moisture, ands water spots which caused the roof to have excessive weak spots inside of the house especially in the back bedroom. The far east side of the house has excessive damage which has caused the deterioration of the outside of the roof. A policy was written with a deductible of 5,000 which was excessive for the policy which caused Mr. to have to pay an out of pocket cost.

DO NOT BUY A POLICY WITH THIS AGENT! I was given the worst treatment and customer service by Tina in the front office. my policy was set up NOV 20 2017 and made a full month payment that day and have my proof showing my next payment is due Jan 10th in an email , now they are saying I did not pay in dec and my policy is now 60$ more a month. how is this an error on my end when they set up the policy, they sent me the emails saying my payment was due Jan 10th and even took the money out of my account on jan 10th.... but I missed a Dec payment that I was NEVER told I had to make. the rep was so rude talking over me and saying it was ok that my policy was raised and I was not told I had to pay in dec. they will not adjust anything and expect me to pay this policy at 60$ more a month then I was quoted. DO NOT BUY A POLICY FROM THIS AGENT!!!! I am begging you to look else where PLEASE!!!

I found out that Allstate has been overcharging me for dwelling for the last 4 years. They are saying they "can't" refund anything past a year.

Absolutely the worst insurance company I've ever dealt with. They've been unorganized since day one and haven't given me an answer in 43 days. I've reached out to every number I could find dozens of times and get the voicemail box of every agent. I'm furious with the Customer service I've yet to receive from Allstate.

An appraiser with Allstate lied to me, my agent and my private adjuster over a claim. 3 people can testify of how unethical this lady was concerning my claim. She lied that she had talked with my private adjuster when she did not. Allstate hired a third party adjuster as did I. They are to work privately without Allstate getting involved. Yet my adjuster called the private appraiser hired by Allstate and told him what to offer for my car. This is totally unethical and illegal. Why would I hire a 3rd party appraiser if Allstate had already decided and told their 3rd party what to offer. Allstate is full of liars. You are never in good hands with lying ALLSTATE

I had AllState Insurance on all of my vehicles for over ten years. I had to file two claims in those ten years. One was due to a car accident involving another driver and one was a collision with a deer. Both required my vehicle be towed. Both times that AllState had my vehicle towed they had it taken to the wrong shop. Two different wrong shops to be more accurate. They also could not figure out which shop they had towed it to and for a lack of better description they lost my car. Both times I had to call my neighborhood mechanic and he had to call around and locate my vehicle and go and tow it from the shop that AllState lost it at. To add insult to injury, I went through a divorce and had a financial hardship during that time, AllState has since terminated my policy and is refusing to cover me now. I was a loyal customer for over ten years and I had paid tens of thousands of dollars, which I will never see the benefits from. They explained that in order to have AllState insurance you have to first have insurance. Since there was a lapse in my coverage due to financial hardship my policy was terminated and now I don't qualify for AllState because I don't have insurance. I explained that I was a loyal customer of AllState for over a decade and that I am willing to pay the total due and resume my policy. They refused to offer me coverage and told me to seek insurance elsewhere. This is practically robbery. You are not in good hands with this company. They will take your money, loose your vehicle's and God forbid if you every have a hard time and miss payments they will leave you high and dry and refuse to work with you.
