Allstate does not want to fix my claim due to wind/hail damage over the last 3 storms. The last thunderstorm was the lynchpin in which I filed this claim. Side note: I did file a claim for my roof ,a leak 3-4 years ago and Allstate did NOTHING, so as a result, I had to make minor repairs in 2015.

With this claim which is visually apparent to the naked eye, Allstate is denying me telling me the damage is due to installation issues of the roof which is not the case. My roofer will be out here tomorrow, 6/17/2020 for his supplemental too take pictures for his evidence. His contact information is the following. According to 2 different opinions, the roof is in fact 12-15 years old.

Complaint: 14445234

I am rejecting this response because:

As I have stated previously AllState has refused to address my concerns in a satisfactory manner. This is a clear violation of Texas Department of insurance laws.

AllState is currently engaging in delay tactics in an effort to take this settlement into arbitration as it is their practice. Allstate is engaging in a practice of taking advantage of paying customers and active duty service members as myself.

I recommend Revdex.com opening a public inquiry into AllState service nation wide. I am sure the Revdex.com will find that 5 out every 7 claims submitted to AllState are not paid in full since they will deny the customers claims or only provide partial payment lending the customer to deal with the brunt of the claim cost. I am sure a class action can be filed against AllState.

The Revdex.com should not accept AllState Claim of privacy reason. The only privacy reason they intend to protect are the financial interest of Allstate. Their tactics are proof of the bad faith on their behalf and their ill intended.

AllState claims as to privacy reasoning the reply to the Revdex.com are false are a legal tactic and once an affirmation of their bad faith towards myself as an active duty service member and my family.I have provided additional documentation supporting my compliant for the Revdex.com review.AllState has failed to provide a satisfactory solution. I recommend Revdex.com downgrading AllState standing with the Revdex.com. Our request remains the same for a satisfactory resolution. Allstate must pay my claim in full $13,633.35. Otherwise we will have no other recourse than to proceed with legal action due to bad faith on their behalf. This lawsuit will be greater than the currently sought as a settlement to my claim.

Thank you for your time and assistance in these unprecedented times.

Sincerely,

John

On February 3, 2020 our house caught on fire taking the lives of my husband David *** and my grandson David ***. My husband had home owners insurance through *** Allstate insurance. After the the insurance process took place I was issued a check for the home insurance policy and another for personal belongings. Both checks were made out to both my husband David *** and my self Susana ***. The bank will not let me deposit the checks since both parties are named on the checks and my husband is deceased. I was informed that all Allstate had to do was remove my husband from the checks through their under writing department to allow us to deposit these checks, but Allstate is refusing to help us out and they are asking that we get legal representation to get this done. We held our policy with *** Allstate for over 30 years and he is basically stating they can't help me in any way. This money is what I have to obtain a new house since I am in temporary housing through Allstate and have to be out by end of October. I am seeking help with this matter please.

On 04/21/2020, our daughter was driving in our vehicle, a 2014 Kia Optima, on FM *** near Willis , TX, and had come to a compete stop at a red light intersection that was backed up with traffic. A black 2014 Nissan Maxima, driven by Allstate's Insured, he advised he was looking down and did not see the vehicles stopped. Their Insured (Policy Holder), tried to take evasive action, but could not avoid colliding with our vehicle. The left front of his vehicle, hit the right rear and alongside the right side of my vehicle, damaging the bumper cover, right tail lamp, right quarter panel, right rear wheel and tire, and small amount of damage to both doors, along with other damage. He also went off the roadway, passing our vehicle on the right side, and taking out a residents mailbox. He asked that we did not call the police and he and his insurance company would take care of the damages, and told the homeowner the same about their mailbox.

The office that handled our claim had multiple customer and service issues. As well as the disregard for my family's health and my private property. No shoe covering nor mask were worn during the visits during the pandemic. Different employees provided conflicting answers on how they came up with what a raccoon damage was from and wasn't was somewhat questionable especially when Mr. did not go to the attic and just stood on the top of our ladder only taking a glimpse of the open attic . We were promised that the fee of $135 we incurred to bring in a animal trapper before an adjuster will come to our home will be reimbursed but wasn't executed. Instead they included the animal trapper receipt in the estimate that counts towards my deductible that unfortunately was never been reached due to their selective process what is qualified as raccoon damage in my situation and denied contaminated insulation replacement.
Also, we incurred property damage by the Allstate employee on how he entered/exited the attic. We called a general contractor to the house to provide an estimate for the extra damages done by the Allstate inspectors during the inspection process and he provided us an estimate for $960 to paint and fix all of the stains and broken casing. We have provided all the pictures and written estimates to Mr. (Allstate inspector) also was not refunded to us either.
We respect the decision to close the claim however we strongly disagree with how it was decided upon. It was very evident in our conversations that the inspector *** is not willing to give the reimbursement back that was promised to us by placing estimates in our claim and stated it is under our deductible after the day he came to my home stating "there is no evidence of a raccoon in the attic". The selective process of how he came to pick and choose what is considered as raccoon damage baffled me despite stating "no raccoon damage evident" in his verbal discussion with me.

On April 30, 2020 my housing development was hit with high winds of 65mph for a sustained period of time and heavy rain. Many tiles were blown off the roof and damage several others. When a 3rd party Allstate adjuster came out who is from Texas (I live in Pennsylvania) came out a week later he determined I had 12 spots on my roof where it was damaged. My builder was present and on the roof with the adjuster. The adjuster submitted his report and Allstate gave me a nominal sum to correct the damage. This storm damaged 9 other homes in my development. Six of those home owners with insurance companies primarily made up of *** and *** deemed their roofs a loss and are replacing them. My contractor thinks this is a tragedy what Allstate is doing and my roof is a total loss and he cannot fix it other than a full roof replacement and guarantee his work. Allstate did this with 2 other home owners in my development which they too had extensive roof damage. My roof was more damaged more then most of the roofs being replaced by other insurance companies. You are not in good Hand s with Allstate. I have two contractors telling me they cannot repair my roof and guarantee their work I need a total roof replacement. On a side note my roof tiles are not made anymore and are part of a Certainteed Lawsuit just another reason Allstate should replace the roof.
Part II - Today (June 3rd) another adjuster for Allstate (still from Texas) came out to my house. He failed to bring a ladder to get up on my roof to look at my damage and basically told me there is nothing he can do for me and I have to fix the roof in the 12 spots of damage. Below is what my roof company wrote to Allstate:

The purpose of my inspection is to assess the damage to the shingle roof after the April 30, 2020 storm. After inspecting the roof at your home I noticed wind damage to the shingle roof. There are missing/blown off shingles on the roof. This particular shingle is a 3 tab shingle that appears to be approx. 10 years in age. Along with the missing shingles there is a very large number of shingles that are unsealed and ready to blow off anytime soon with more strong winds. In addition, this shingle is beyond repair because it too brittle to work around the missing shingles without causing more damage to the adjacent shingles. Once a seal is broken the shingles need to be replaced to get a fresh seal down. I can’t guarantee any of my repairs using a tube of caulk to rely on sealing this roof down. This roof is in need of immediate attention and anything less than a complete replacement would be a disservice to you and your home.

Attached is a proposal for a complete replacement. Feel free to contact me with any questions. I look forward to helping you.

Thank you,

Jim ***

No builder or roofer will repair my roof and Allstate will not just replace my roof. I been a customer for 26 yeras and this is the service I get.

I have been an Allstate customer for over 32 years (home and auto). The only claim I have ever had was a small auto accident my 16-year old son had; otherwise no claims.

We experienced a large hail storm back in March that I documented with my phone. They sent out a subcontracted claims adjuster who would not talk with me. Their response was to replace 1/2 my roof and "repair" the other 1/2. I had two (2) different roofing contractors say that the entire roof needed replaced. They sent out a second adjuster with same result. Allstate claims that eh hail was "directional", even though my video clearly shows the hail coming straight down.

Every single person in the neighborhood had the same damage and every single person had roofs replaced, gutters replaced, siding replaced, etc. Well everyone except me (the only Allstate customer). I'll need to sue Allstate to rectify my claim. Needless to say, Allstate has seen the last penny of money from me.

This is the worst Company in the Automotive Insurance industry Period! I've been with Allstate for Many Many years Home and Auto and never had a claim. My Vehicle catches fire in My Driveway on January 3rd. Horrible Estimates and and excuses galore from their negligence. Vehicle should of never been repaired Still waiting for Vehicle as of 5/28/2020. No investigation why Fire started. 6 payments for something sitting at a dealership Waiting for parts that if the first estimate would have been done correctly the parts would have been here. But it's now come to Excuses using Covid-19 as an Excuse. So 5 months in no Vehicle Loyal Customer this should of been as easy as Truck is totaled you go get another! That's is what I pay for a security Blanket so if something catastrophic happens I'm covered and Life goes on. NOT HEADACHES AND EXCUSES! and totally inconveniencing Me for 5 Months.

I had a minor accident in HEB parking lot in Cedar Park Texas and the other driver was insured through Allstate. He had accepted his mistake and gave his insurance details to claim for my car damages. When I called in Claim, my adjuster Michael *** assigned to the case which has decided to pay only 50% of the damage costs after all the mistakes that their driver has done which is TOTALLY unfair and unacceptable. I had my daughter in my car when the other driver had pulled out his car very fast in the parking lot and hit my car in rear even when I alerted him by honking. Michael is not willing to understand their driver's mistake and spoke rudely during this injustice.

All state has been delaying my case, for 10 month's I've sent them all papers work's for my claim, the claim adjuster is rude, not sending me paper work to be filled out from the beginning of this case. I've contacted her supervisor informing him to please assign me to a new claim , adjuster supervisor closed my claim instead. This has been going on for months. I really need help with allstate claim.

Good DAY, I talked with a Mr *** from Allstate concerning this case but case has not been resolved, Mr *** informed me the case is even going to take longer, due to a signature that I did not sign, but the matter is just how long was it going to take before they closed my case, it took two and half months for them to send me a letter stating , it wasn't sign, no signature . This is why this case has been dragging for so long. I had to call the office to make sure my case was not closed many of times, I've been informed many of times by Stacy *** case is going to be close. Allstate Claim

I filed a claim in March, 2020, on my homeowner's insurance with Allstate regarding roof repair and replacement due to storms damage, but AllState refuses to pay the claim. I had a roofing contractor to provide verifi*** that my roof needed to be replaced due to the damage; however, AllState refused to honor my claim. My contractor submitted evidence through my local AllState representative in Greenwood, MS. I have had homeowner's insurance with this company for the past 16 years.

The Allstate adjuster stated that my contractor did not provide enough information to honor the claim, and kept mentioning a previous claim to my roof that was made a 3 or four years ago. She kept asking me questions about the old claim. I informed her that I, indeed, filed a claim a few years ago, and needed repairs were made at that time, and those have nothing to do with the current claim.

I am seeking your help in getting this issue resolved.

Thanks

My husband and I have it all state insurance for Over 20 years We have had a total of three accidents in 20 years and each incident was handled smoothly and within 24 hours. The representatives have always been patient, attentive, and accurate with information provided to settle each case. We are in Reno Nevada and have an excellent agent. Highly recommend this insurance for auto.

I called Allstate for a quote and never told them that I was going to choose their company, but they sent my information to *** consumer services. No other insurance company did this and I received quotes from two other companies. When I called Allstate, I was instructed to contact ***. I wouldn’t use Allstate if it was $.05 for 10 years.

I called Allstate to upgrade my rental car on 8/13/19, the approved my rental and agreed to pay the excess rental. My total rental was 474.66 out of which 209 is paid by ***. All state has to pay me 265.66 excess. *** hasn't been able to get that from Allstate. When I called Allstate, they say that they have sent the money to ***. In March we suffered a storm which caused damage to our roof and a leak in the ceiling. Multiple houses in the neighborhood and electrical lines suffered damage. We called roofing companies for quotes on repairing the damage. They said that since they saw damage and the damage was sudden and caused by the storm that we should call insurance. Things started ok and an inspector came out to look at the damage. While here, he discussed his findings with me and included pictures of storm damaged shingles. However, Allstate said my claim was denied because they believed the leak came from our skylights which they said were installed incorrectly. This contradicts the roofers, who said the skylights were old but installed fine, but I accepted that the claim was denied and simply asked for Allstate to reinspect after work was completed so that they couldn't use this excuse in the future. They refused this and then told me that actually the claim was denied because they didn't see damage. I pointed to the pictures in the report but was told that they just didn't see it and "don't make decisions based on logic." I was then told that it was actually denied due to materials aging. When I contested this I spoke to a manager who said actually they don't know what happened and it shouldn't have been denied. He sent an engineer to do an inspection, but the engineer admitted to me while here that he couldn't access everything and was guessing at the cause. They then again denied my claim because the engineer said the caulk around the skylights aged and caused of the leak. This is impossible since I caulked them after the storm to stop further leaking. When I pointed this out, the agent said she didn't care whether the report was accurate, it just mattered what she wanted to believe. At this point I am not sure what the cause is or if Allstate is liable, but it is clear that they have lied and engaged in shady practices throughout the process to avoid making good on the issue.

Complaint: 14324142

I am rejecting this response because:

This is another blatant lie from Allstate. "Management" has still made no attempts to reach me by phone. I have received no calls, texts, or voicemail messages from Allstate since my complaint was filed. I have checked my phone log multiple times including immediately before writing this response. I have only received a single email in this time frame which was a direct duplicate of their initial response to the Revdex.com.

Furthermore, "management" makes it obvious that they have lied about and failed to investigate my complaint or perform an internal review by referring to me as "she" and "her." Both my name, as well as my numerous hours of interaction with claims agents would demonstrate that I am a male to anyone who took even the most minimal amount of time to actually investigate my complaint.

Finally, I never said I did not want further contact with allstate. This is another cop out to try and avoid properly addressing this issue. My specific quote from my previous response was "Until I receive a response to these issues and a sign that Allstate has actually considered my complaint and seeks to remedy their lies and failures, I do not have time to waste on the phone with yet another representative". Note that "until I receive a response" indicated that I am still expecting communication and response from Allstate.

I am waiting for Allstate to actually initiate this response (instead of lying about it) with an individual who has demonstrated that they have actually reviewed my case and has the power to address these issues. So far Allstate has made it clear that they have failed to initiate communication or reviewed my complaint, and so I am continuing to wait for them to respond.

Sincerely,

Michael

I signed up for a traditional car insurance policy with Allstate for $176.68 on their website. They then started sending me e-mails that they were going to charge my credit card $41 every few days. When I asked what was going on, they said I was enrolled in a program called "MileWise," and if I wanted a traditional policy, it would cost $344. Perhaps some kind of mistake was made, but it felt like a "Bait & Switch" to me. I canceled the policy and got a partial refund, which took about 30 e-mails and several phone calls. It was a customer service disaster from beginning to end.
But anyway, my main concern is that a reputable company shouldn't be doing a "Bait & Switch." Whether it was a mistake or deliberate, I'd think they'd want to fix it so that what happened to me doesn't happen again to anyone else.

On February 29 2020, I was going straight in the left lane down a moderately busy road. I HAD THE RIGHT AWAY so I continued to drive straight. As I am driving, allstate’s insured, Martin *** made a sharp left turn in front of me as he tried to beat the yellow light. Trying to avoid any further damage or involved any other vehicles, I swerved my vehicle to the right trying to avoid Martin and on coming traffic. I still hit the back of his vehicle and damaged the front right hand of mine. Haley *** was assigned to my case from allstate. I explained to her that on the scene both Martin and the police officer agreed I was NOT at fault in ANY way. Even Martin admitted he “did not see me”. Now how didn’t he see me when he is supposed to check for oncoming traffic before taking a left turn??? Either way I was not at fault. Haley *** placed me %20 at fault saying I “could have avoided the accident”. We were disagreeing so I asked to speak to her supervisor. She so rudely said “no one is going to change my mind but I will tell her to call you”. The manager never called me! I had to call once a day for three days to follow up and each time I was told “She’ll get back to you by the end of the business day”. This never happened. This was dragging on for almost a month.I have two jobs and school to get back and forth to and had no way to do so! Allstate refused to pay for a rental in full. They refused to fix my damages in full. Haley *** told me “the police report doesn’t matter in Connecticut”. OH REALLY? ALLSTATE IS ALLOW TO COMPLETELY DISREGARD POLICE DOCUMENTS??? REALLY?? All in all, I paid over $3000 for damages and rentals for an accident that was in no way my fault!! THIS IS WRONG! My lawyer is looking into this as well injury for my back.

I had an accident and Allstate told me that the person who hit my automobile did not have auto insurance so I would have to collect on my uninsured motorist so I got the name of the other parties insurance company off of the police report and called and they told me that Allstate had not contacted them and the driver that hit my car had insurance and they are paying for my vehicle.Never trust Allstate they lied to me for 250.00 uninsured motorist fee.

I suffered wind/hail damage to my roof in September of 2019. Since then I had some water issues coming from my house so I had several contractors come out to look at the roof. All of them agreed there was major damage from the storm and that insurance would cover this so I didn’t have to pay out of pocket. I filed a claim with my Insurance Company, Allstate to have them come look at the damages. Before calling, I was told by a retired Allstate agent they would try to do virtual photos or send a 3rd party out to take pictures as it is easier for them to deny the claim that way. The agent was correct, they immediately asked me if they could do photos (I believe from a drone) as they said the roof would be to steep to walk on. I explained I had many roofers that were already up there and I declined that service. Then they said my only option was a 3rd party would come out and take photos and send to them which I also tried to decline but that wasn’t an option. Also when I told them the date they immediately knew it was labeled a catastrophe in my area for wind so clearly the storm was big enough to cause damage to other houses. When the 3rd party company came out, I let him know about the damage to the inside of the house and he said Allstate would want those pictures but he didn’t supply them and they would reach out to me. He then took pictures and sent them to Allstate and they denied my claim. Allstate stated the roof was just old even though the type of roof I have on they admitted should last 30 years and the home is only 20 years old. They never came out to inspect anything for themselves despite my request and didn’t even look at the interior damage where my house continues to leak during storms. I can think of 100s of items I’ve looked at buying over the years that looked in great shape in photos and then I saw them in person and walked away from the purchase. This is ridiculous they base their claims on photos and simply state no sever damages. They should be held to a higher standard. They also said I can submit new photos and they might be able to come out in a few months meanwhile my house will continue to have water damage creating more issues. I looked at reviews for Allstate and it appears this is a common practice to deny claims without even looking anything in person. I also looked at JD Power reports and it appears they come in under the industry average. Someone should look into their business practices.

Dear Better Business of Bureau,

My name is Roger ***. I am a 66 year old retired *** County citizen and now in remission from cancer. On July 23, 2019 I had gone with my family to eat dinner. While at the restaurant a storm came up and swept through the south end of the county. A few days later I noticed stained circles on my ceiling and soon realized I had some roof damage. I visited my insurance company, All State on HWY *** in Central City, KY 42330 and spoke with agent, Kevin ***. I told him I had roof damage from the last storm we had. He replied that he had a lot of people with damage from that particular storm. He proceeded to tell me to ‘get it fixed’ ASAP before damage was done. I said O.K. and left his office and contacted a known roofer in the community. Mr. Tim *** soon started repairing my roof. A few weeks later an adjuster showed up. I brought him inside and showed him the damage roof had caused.
*** roof charged me $9.700 to repair my roof. I did not have enough money to pay him so I borrowed the money from my 88 year old father. I paid him in full and promised I would pay him back as soon as I got my insurance money.
I did receive a check from All State for $200.00 after they took out my $1,000 deductible to paint my ceiling. I contacted ALL State about the check for the roof. I was told they would not be reimbursing me for my roof. I was confused and a tad frustrated when they told me the adjuster was unable to get pictures of the roof damage due to the fact it had been fixed. I only did what my agent recommended –to get it fixed! I made several calls to the insurance company asking for more information and how this could be possible I had premium full replacement insurance. I am out the $9,700.00 and can’t pay my father back that is on a fixed income.
If you can help me I sure would appreciate it. I cannot afford a lawyer because of medical bills. I feel like I am the end of my rope and nowhere to turn.
