Allstate Insurance Reviews (%countItem)

My roof was recently damaged by hail and wind. I filed a claim on Jan. 17, 2020. It took them until Jan. 28 to an adjuster come to my house. The inspector met with my contractor and reviewed the roof, both interior and exterior. Once the inspector was off the roof, she got the Allstate Adjuster, Chuck ***, on the phone and began a 5 minute conversation flirting . Finally she put me on the phone with him. His 20 second response was he will call me back that evening with an estimate. The Inspector hung up the phone and told me, in front of my contractor I have a lot of hail damage. She then said she was off the rest of the day and would up load the pictures. At 5:00 PM Chuck called back to tell me he had not received anything from inspector and would call me the next day. On Jan.29 around 5:00 PM to tell me I did not have any hail damage so they would not be paying anything. I told him his inspector told me I had extensive hail damage. His response was to call me a liar. I hung up after that, infuriated. The next day I contacted my agent and we went over all pictures the inspector up loaded. All the pictures were so blurry you could hardly tell you were looking at a roof. My agent said he would request a review. On Friday Jan.31 around 11 AM I received a phone call from Gerome *** who told me he was Chuck ***s supervisor. He told me he was agreeing with his adjuster even though the pictures were so bad. He insinuated I couldn't afford my deductible. So a second Allstate employee insulting a customer. By the way I have been with Allstate for home car and motorcycle insurance for 13 years. I can guarantee you it will not be 14. I have contacted a professional adjustment firm to force Allstate to honor the policy. It is sad as a customer that never filed a claim to be treated in this manner. I would suggest you never consider Allstate for your insurance needs. They have proven to be dishonest.

I was involved in a car accident on October 31, 2019 of which my car was totaled. I advised AllState not to release my confidential information and they did anyway. My address and telephone number was released to another agency which placed myself and family in great danger. This caused great stress, and continuous stress. This issue also held up the repair process for the vehicle. I reached out to numerous agents by phone and email including a supervisor. I have also tried to resolve this matter through AllState guarantee, I emailed the assigned agent to my claim about the required documents to pursue Allstate guarantee and have not ever received a response or call back from the agent. I never consented to the transfer of my private information to outside companies either in which AllState shared details of my information with ***.

Allstate is absolutely the worst Insurance company. I'm recently in search of lower homeowner insurance. I am being told they can not offer my husband insurance because I filed two claims for water damage. I've explained I've never filed claims I called allstate to see what our options were. No claims should have been filed nor did anyone come to our home. The claims show there was never a payout. When the adjudicator called I let them know we did not need anything. My husband had fix the issues, I had no idea they were opening claims. Now this is on my husband record and cost him more than $2000 a year for homeowners insurance because I called the insurance company. He didn't call and I'm not on the home mortgage or deed. He has never called or spoke with Allstate claims or rep. I have called allstate and cannot get a resolution The claims rep Tia *** was so rude, so frustrated with my complaint stating if you call the insurance they have to record. I agree they can record but not process it as a claim and they should explain the information they are taking is to file a claim. My experience has been they say they need your information before they can answer any questions. DO NOT give them your information unless your plans are to file a claim. This will cost you in the long run.
I wish they would monitor they reps more closely or even give them better training of how to diffuse a frustrated caller, she further ignited my issue, at one point she said she was going to hang up because they're's nothing she can do. She could not find claims, I explain the claims are there because I recently tried to get insurance and they gave me the information. Keep in mind there was no shouting on this call or bad language used, I was only trying to understand how this could happen. ***NEVER CALL YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY for directions or options if your not going to file a claim. This will be on my husband file for 7years. There has to be a recourse for him.

Hello, our team would be happy to connect you with our Executive Team to further review this concern. Please feel free to email us at [email protected] with your information. Thank you. - Allstate Social Media Team

While sitting still at a red light, their policy holder rear ended me. Her vehicle was lower than mine and subsequently hit my lower rear bumper and undercarriage. Because of the incident, my mid back began to spasm which eventually let me to seek medical treatment from a chiropractor (no history of similar treatments). After my assessment and treatment, I was informed the medical claim would not be covered based on their determination of severity of the collision. I respectfully disagreed and asked that it be reviewed by another Allstate agent. The agent I was speaking with refused and also refused to ask her manager to call me regarding the incident and her unprofessional behavior. I filed the claim with my own insurance to have the medical portion covered and arranged for my vehicle to be repaired. My rental car was arranged by the claims handler at Allstate and the car was repaired. Upon completion, I was then called by the rental company and informed the rental would not be covered after the fact. I attempted to reach out to my claims handler as well as her manager and did not get a call back. After filing a complaint with their corporate office, I was told they would not change their stance on the matter. Through their continued disregard for my well being and the incredibly unprofessional way this was handled, I was put in the position to file this complaint.

Recently on 12/22/19 my son was involved in an accident where both of us were Allstate customers the claim #'s were *** and ***. The other driver hit my son from behind but she claimed my son cut her off. So I filed a claim against her but then since they were taking a while and my car was not driveable I had to file one on my own policy. Well, her adjuster was a very seasoned rep who fought for from the beginning and I was assigned a very young person who basically just said well it could go either way. I was told by someone in the advocate department that I should file one to have my own adjuster on my side but they weren't even on my side. Then the other team kept fighting and so it took 2 weeks after my car was ready to make a decision only to turn it around and find for her and make my son at fault. I am an agent who sells a lot of Allstate every month and I have had non standard carriers work harder for me. I understand that I can not always win the claim and I can accept my son being at fault. I give up on that even though I truly do not feel that my adjuster or their managers cared about trying to fight it. All I am asking at this point is that Allstate pay for the rental car coverage up through Friday when I am able to afford the deductible or even through yesterday when they finally came to the decision on this since I was waiting for a long time and I make this company a lot of money. I do not feel like after all that it is a lot to ask. I truly feel my adjuster did not have my best interest at heart but I no longer care about fighting it as I do not have that kind of time.

I *** contacted Allstate to report damages to the roof of our home on December 26,2019.I reported that the ice accumulations from the two recent ice storms Damaged the Roof on our home & water is entering 3 areas of the home.An adjuster came to our home & only inspected 1,3rd of the Roof due to ice came to the conclusion that the Roof was inproperly installed & I would recieve nothing.I called corp.office & was assighned a manager on 1/10/20 christine @ EXT.*** that I have never spoke to I caled Her 1/13 1/20 1/22 & have yet to speak with Her.We were advised to get a second opinion & we did so.I contacted a Roofing contractor named Nathan @ . he reported damages to the Roof were caused by the recent storms.this report was never relayed to terrel the ajuster from Allstate until I ask if this info was fowered,it was then that this info was fowered.I also stated to both my agent and the ajuster that Allstate sent an inspecter to our home along with the bank when we bought our home 16yrs ago & everything checked out fine.there was a thirty year Roof on our home when purchased,we have never had a problem till our last two ice storms.no one from allstate even offered to even have tarps put on the roof to stop water from entering our home.we our doing our best to save the inner house from water damage but its getting worst.there new leaks popping after every storm.I was advised by allstate to stop all repairs to the home, because they were not takeing responce ability for the Roof and I WOULD BE GETTING NO WHERE.My agent is ineffective, I feel the adjuster didnt inspect the Roof & found a discrepancy where water is not comming into the home and is useing that to call the Roof a bad install 16yrs later.I have down louded the storms that hit my area.the adjuster commented on all the down trees my neghbors are dealing with, from the last recent ice storms.this is not an install problem and a professional Roofer confermed this and put this info in a detailed report.

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Sincerely,

Sal ***. I feel like I don’t have any choice but to accept there decision. I really need to take a better look who’s protecting our most valuable assets. Thank you for your help. Me and my family really thought we were protected with Allstate. So thanks again for all your help. Sal ***.

Allstate is the worst company I have ever dealt with. They owe me an 803.70 refund and they gave me 160.64. Everytime I call the office that I purchased the policy through they hang up the phone. When I try to go through the 1-800-ALLSTATE they will not transfer me to anyone.

We have been with Allstate insurance companies for over 15 years now, both home and auto. Over the Holiday we got into a minor car accident. I was told by my claim contact person (Sarlice *** @ ) that we can take our vehicle anywhere to get it repaired. We took the vehicle to the place were we bought the vehicle brand new, then they recommended a shop next door to them to do the repair. (*** Collision @ ) Now, after the vehicle is finally repaired by the shop Allstate refused to satisfy all the repair cost, because the shop labor rate is more than the other shops Allstate normally do business with. Now, we left with a bill of $892.82 out pocket. This is unacceptable! We always paid our policy in full without asking any questions. Allstate is the worst company to dealt with. We have been getting mix messages and running around from Allstate. We just want them to do the right thing by paying for the repairs. We were follow the correct procedure, because out claim contact person told us that we can take our vehicle anywhere we like to get it repaired. We wanted to get our vehicle repaired properly by a great collision shop. Allstate never communicate with us that we will be out of pocket. Worst claims service! UNBELIEVABLE! How are they allowed to do what they are doing to families. If this were us, we would be in jail by now. We are a family of three cars. All three of the vehicles are with Allstate. We have been a customer with Allstate insurance for a long time, never filed any auto claims, now they are doing this to us. This is the worst experience and NOT what I pay hundreds a month for.

I have been with Allstate for over 30 years. Sadly, the company is no longer customer service focused. My landlord policy was cancelled because an inspector from the underwriting department spoke to my "husband" at the home address. My husband has been dead for 10 years and the local agent has proof of the death. The corporate underwriting department refuses to believe the local agent or me and will not reissue the policy. Interesting - the landlord policy bill is more than homeowners policy. Do not do business with them.

My husband and I purchased a TCL 55 inch smart TV August 5th 2019. When we purchased this tv the cashier offered a protection plan saying that it covers all damages including water damage, drops or falls, and anything that could possibly happen to a television. This was not our first time buying a protection plan from *** and we never had issues in the past so we bought it for $36.00 because of the large family we have including toddlers we would be protecting our money that we spent ($318). Last weekend we discovered that there was lines going through the tv. The first thing we said was ? Thank god we purchased the protection plan? . That following day January 12th I called the *** proctection plan company, I told them the issue with the tv which was a bad experience because I couldn't understand the representatives english to well. From that phone call came about 5-8 more back and forth to protection plan company, TCL , and ***. Every company I called to get the issue resolved pointed fingers back and forth and I was even told that my tv had physical damage and it wasn't covered under the manufactures warranty or under the protection plan that I purchased. What really made upset is at the time of purchase we were told that the protection plan covered just about anything and then when something goes wrong we are being told it physical damage and no one is responsible. Even if it was physical damage which it wasn't, our tv should still be covered because that is what we bought the protection plan for to cover any and everything that could possibly go wrong. *** I believe *** gave us false information at the time of purchase and no one has not did anything to resolve my issue.

On January 4th a tree fell and hit both of my vehicles. I took the first vehicle in for repair on 1/6. The repair shop assured me they would provide new parts and that allstate had authorized this. On the third week, after receiving no response from allstate, the repair shop advised allstate demanded salvaged parts be used. the first 2 parts were damaged beyond use from the accident the original vehicle was in. Allstate instructed the shop to change the parts out to salvaged parts without contacting me. The resulting delay has caused my out of pocket rental costs to extend to 3 weeks now. Allstate claims this is "normal industry practice" and refuses to approve new parts even after their designated shop ordered (and has on hand) new parts. calls to the adjuster and his supervisor have went un-answered.

In Nov of 2019 I was struck from behind by an Allstate insured driver. The police were called and interviewed both drivers, and the Allstate insured driver was deemed at fault. I have a police report stating that the other driver was at fault. I later called Allstate to file a claim and was given a claim # and assigned to Allstate rep named Priscilla *** . Ms *** advised me that the other driver told her that I hit him, so they weren’t going to pay for any damages to my vehicle unless I had proof that the Allstate insured driver was at fault. I advised her that there was a police report which states that her insured driver was at fault. She said that she had not obtained a police report and asked would I email her a copy. I did email Ms *** a copy to the email address she provided ***@allstate.com. She said would review it and get back to me. She also said she would see if any cameras had recorded the accident. And again reiterated that her insured told her that he was NOT at fault, and unless I could prove otherwise, I had no claim.
To date, I have heard nothing back from Ms ***, or anyone else at Allstate, regarding this accident and my claim. There is a police report confirming that the Allstate insured was at fault, which in my opinion, does verify who was at fault. Apparently Allstate has little regard for a policeman’s opinion as to cause of an auto accident. And a police report has zero significance in any claim filed, if their insured was deemed at fault.

A storm hit my home on January 11,2020 at around 10:20 pm. The rain and wind was hitting so hard we lost power. When I got up to go downstairs with my flashlights I hear the water coming in my house. The floor, window, drapes, panel & blinds was soaked. I called Allstate the next day and they told me my claim would be paid. The adjuster came out and stated it was a maintenance issue. My house never had a drip and if it was maintenance it should be leaking before the storm. Allstate is ripping people off! I have paid my premiums for over 9 years which totaled over $13,000.00 and they denied my claim! This is morally wrong! I never want Allstate to insured anything I own not even my dog!

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is not satisfied just yet. I was recently involved in a 4 car incident where a minor stole a car and side-swiped 4 vehicles and allstate has been a complete disaster to work with. They decided to stop paying for my rental with out giving me a heads up even though my car is still being worked on. I had to pay my deductible and since it was a minor, they are trying to go after the family but of course they are responding. so I am stuck having to pay 6 days of my rental and the $500 deductible. The person I had to deal with was so unprofessional and would not help me in any way. Neither my agent or adjuster would help me so now I am completely stuck and in the whole of almost $700. I will be dropping them.

Allstate is the worst company I have ever dealt with

Allstate refuses to pay out the items damaged in my vehicle when their driver who admitted complete fault hit my parked car. The damagw was done on christmas ruining all of my childrens gifts and items in the back seat. They paid me 188 to clean up the glass that was all over the back seat and gifts the only things they reimbursed me for were my two car seats. They paid me out a lower amount on fixing my vehicle then the 2 eatimates provided. They had me on a frantic search to itemize every item in the back seat then find price onlne. After this I was suppose to get compensate then they completly denied paying property in the back seat as well as diminished value of my vehicle stating what value could it of lost it was 15 year old car. They refused to pay for the negliegence of their at fault driver. Their customer service is so poor they have a new person every time you call in the adjusters Brandon and lakesha want me to allow my 3 week old and 6 year old wear items that were covered in shattered glass as well as not replace my sons toys that were covered in glass. Allstate completly at fault and wont pay for damages or more reasonable amount to get my vehicle repaired properly. They are expecting me to let my children use and wear items covered in glass.

First lets start by saying Allstate has lied and lied about calling my body shop. My claim adjuster Jonathan *** License #*** has been awful. He would always text me about issues or setting up a rental which he delayed multiple days. He left multiple things out of my claim that the body shop owner Dave said needed fixed. It has now been since 11/10/19 and I still don't have my car because they are now delaying the process after GM delayed the process all this time because they didn't have a part made which my car is a 2019. I have now been pay on a rental car because Allstate only pays up to 30 days even though this is GM ( general motors) fault my parts weren't ready in those thirty days. I have been paying for a rental car since 12/13/19 out of pocket. My claims adjuster closed my claim on 12/4/19 which resulted in enterprise harassing me for days. Allstate said they kept calling enterprise which enterprise said they never called. This happen like 4 times. They also said they called the body shop multiple times to follow up which they never did. Now here it is 1/6/2020 and now waiting on allstate to pay the supplement which they are fighting because claims adjuster above left out things on the claim. I called allstate beyond mad and they said they tried to contact the body shop which was a lie again. I had a lady I had on the phone put me on hold and call the body shop. I called the body shop and they said thats the first time they called. I just want my car! I now live in Texas and my car is stuck in Kentucky.

In November of 2019, I sent an email to The *** Agcy in Alb NM letting them know that I was moving. They sent me an email with a few offices to call in Portland, OR where I moved to. On 11/24/19 I contact *** Ins Services, an agency on the list provided to me. The first person I talk to at *** says that The *** Agcy was trying to commit insurance fraud by putting my new address as the mailing address instead of sending my account to an agent authorized for Oregon. They assured me they could correct the mistake by opening a new policy. I paid for the policy in full that day and when I asked *** if I needed to call *** to cancel the policy myself and settle any charges, *** assured me that they were handling it.

On 11/27/19 I end up selling my car in the morning and calling *** around 3pm to have my Allstate Policy canceled. My agent told me she wasn't at her desk but she would have her colleague email me. A different agent from *** emailed me an unofficial looking confirmation asking if I was canceling insurance and I emailed him telling him I had sold my car, too. I never get an email or a call back saying that my account had been closed. When I checked my Allstate app later that day, it showed that I had two different policies open when I had just wanted to move my policy to a different state. Since then, I have been on the phone 4 or 5 different times with Allstate Customer Service, and both *** and *** agencies.

I canceled autopay in the Allstate app when I canceled my policy on 11/27/19, as I was told that the *** account was settled by *** on 11/24/19. On 11/29/19 my bank account was charged by *** and I had still not received any kind of confirmation of policy cancellation nor that I would be receiving a refund from *** of the $500+ payment. When I called *** they would tell me that *** had made the mistake. I called *** and the people seemed a little confused about what was happening.

I did not want to open a new insurance policy when I moved states and it should not be reflected as such if it will affect future insurance eligibility. Any ill effect of this action, which was performed by an Allstate agent without my understanding, should be cleared up by the company itself and not by the consumer. I have paid every bill on-time to *** and should not be getting penalized by the billing department for an issue that a different Allstate agency has caused. This measure is to make sure that I am not unfairly penalized in the future because of Allstate's negligence in this matter. Thank you for understanding.

Sincerely,

Valerie
