Our TV had an issue after a little more than two years after we purchased it. Square trade replaced it with the current year model of our TV.

I have always gotten excellent service from Square Trade!

Short hold times. Easy phone menu to navigate. Representative was courteous informative and knowledgeable. Delivery of new TV on time. Courteous delivery call before drop off. Would recommend this service without hesitation.

I cannot say enough good things about the process and professionalism of this organization. I’ve used them on two occasions and their response has been exemplary. After an understandable “question and answer” interaction to determine the validity of my claims, they determined that the items could not be fixed, and they refunded me the purchase price. I was free to replace the item in any manner I chose. The whole process took less than a day (although both transactions were relatively small ($200) and pretty straightforward).

very fast and efficient.......very satisfied with their quick service. thanks a million

Prompt response to claim filed. Totally happy. No hassle service. Got my check within a week. Faster then *** claims.

I purchased a 2 year protection plan in October 2016 and filed a claim in August 2018. The agent on the chat said my claim was accepted and that I would receive a check but I never did. I sent an email requesting a status in October 2018 prior to the end of the plan but never heard back. I followed up today with a support chat and was told that they sent an email in August 2018. I never received that email although I have looked thoroughly for it. The agent today said that I would not receive my payment because I did not respond to the August email.

We apologize for any misunderstanding regarding this claim. This claim was approved for a reimbursement of the item price dependent on the consumer signing an electronically delivered affidavit. This affidavit was never signed and therefore the payment did not process, though we understand the consumer did not receive our affidavit email. One of our specialists previously reached out to the consumer and established a resolution to this concern.

I purchase a mp3 player from *** in November 2018, the mp3 player does not have a manufacturer warranty, so I purchase a warranty from squaretrade. I filed a claim on 01-12- 2019, because the head phone jack is broken. Squaretrade keep giving me the excuse that my claim is under review. This item is worth less than $10.00. I have offer to mail this item to them. But they said no. This item was purchased from a Seller from *** thru

We apologize for any misunderstanding regarding the status of this claim.Occasionally some claims filed via Squaretrade will require additional review, a process which can take several business days to complete. This claim review has been completed and the claim approval email has been delivered to the consumer's email address, detailing the next steps to receive reimbursement.

Fraud company, scam... Warning they won't send u ur money

We have been long time customers of cellular sales kiosk at ***. We have purchased all our mobile communication devices there for years. In December of 2016 our daughter purchased an *** 7. Knowing our daughter and fragility of *** we purchased product protection *** in case the *** broke. It was decided that it would be a wise decision because we would like to be able to communicate with our daughter when she is not with us. Our decision to purchase protection was sound because she broke her *** in June of 2017. We contacted Square Trade paid our $85 deductible and we received a replacement phone. Upon purchasing the Square Trade protection plan the literature informed us that a replacement phone would be a “Grade A Remanufactured Phone”. The first replacement phone we received lasted approximately three months before the screen was broken. When the phone was taken to a repair facility we were advised that underneath the glass the “home” button was taped on with scotch tape, also we were advised that various guards, parts and screws were missing from the phone. When the screen was replaced the “home” button on the phone stopped working. Since the phone had become un useable, in September of 2018 my wife paid an additional $85 deductible to have a new phone sent. In the meantime, my teenaged daughter became impatient and purchased a used *** from ***. My wife decided to keep the new replacement phone incase it was needed again. The phone was kept in it’s un opened box, in our closet until the phone my daughter bought from *** stopped working in January of 2019. The new replacement phone from Square Trade was unboxed and we attempted to activate it. The phone connected to our home network and would not connect to the *** 4g lte network, meaning it had no cellular service at all. The phone indicated that it needed a system update; it would not perform the update, even on our home network. The phone then stated it had to be taken to the *** store to be updated. My daughter took the phone to the *** store to have the work performed so the phone would function. The store sent the phone to *** for repair. We received a call from *** and they advised that the phone was missing parts, has been modified, and is ineligible for service. In speaking to *** they advise us that there is recall on the phone for the exact problem it is having. We contacted Square Trade and explained our situation and they advised that there was nothing they could or would do to help us. We have spent $170 in deductible fees and received two non-working mobile phones. Neither phones we received met Square Trade’s promise of receiving a “Grade A Remanufactured Phone” and my daughter is now using an old cell phone which is nowhere near the quality of the *** 7 she purchased. We have not received the product protection or insurance we paid for when we purchased Square Trade. Additionally, my daughter is forced to use a phone that is far inferior to the *** she originally purchased. We have explored many avenues to fix this situation including multiple calls and a large amount of time spent on the phone with Square Trade. We’ve spoken to *** and *** spending money on fuel to get to each of the destinations; The nearest *** store is approximately 15-20 miles away. All to no avail. *** did extend a $10 credit to our account because they” felt bad about our situation”. To summarize, we spend a good deal of money to protect our daughter’s investment and ensure our ability to contact her. Square Trade did not honor their promise to provide a “Grade A Remanufactured Phone” They sent 2 phones one of which did not work and was under recall. We have not received the protection service that we paid for in good faith.

We apologize for any difficulty experienced with using our services.Squaretrade extensively tests all phones which are utilized for our replacement services and no phone which fails this diagnostic is provided to our consumers. Squaretrade is a third party company independent from the item manufacturer or cellular carrier, therefore we cannot control how our repairs will affect service through these resources. If the consumer experiences any failure with our replacement devices Squaretrade has numerous policies in place to address these concerns, so long as we are notified within the consumer's claim or warranty period. In this instance Squaretrade was not notified of any failures with our replacement until after the expiration of both windows, due to this we would be unable to provide any alternatives.

Well I purchased a "PlayStation 4" around June 2018. I also purchased a 3 year warranty with the PlayStation 4 from Square trade from a local *** store. In September I had a recent problem with the controller that came with the PlayStation Console, so forward I called Square Trade to handle the issue and make a claim. I was told by Square trade that my product would be fixed and everything would be covered. Except the shipping I would have to pay for since I am not shipping it to Square Trade. I had to ship it to the Manufacturer of ***". I was told by Square Trade once the item was fixed and once it was shipped back to me. I would have to make a call back to Square Trade and then they would send me a reimbursement due to the shipping I paid for, and should receive the reimbursement between 5-7 business days, since the warranty covers everything. So I said not a problem. Since I should receive a reimbursement. So forward in time I received my fixed product, and the total shipping cost was $12.40 . So I called back. And Supposed to be promised, I would receive my reimbursement between 5-7 business days. October 2017 comes by and still no reimbursement received, so I gave another call. I was told by an employee that there was a delay in the process of issuing the reimbursement and I would have to wait another 5-7 business days. So I said not a problem. Mid October comes by and more than 2 weeks still no reimbursement. I called again, and said I still haven't received a reimbursement from Square Trade. And again a delay in their system and would have to wait another. 5-7 business days. And again, and again, and again. I have been told repeatedly after every employee that answers my call. "We are sorry for the delay, the reimbursement should arrived 5-7 business days. I made sure from their system my address was correct and everything. And still no reimbursement to this day. Since October 2018 I been calling still to January 2019. It is not fair that they are keeping my money since I payed for a warranty that was supposed to be promised and they broke that promise. And that I would have to make a call back to them. Never have I once received a call from Square Trade about an update of my reimbursement! It is not fair! I have been waiting for 3 months already just for a simple reimbursement.

Allstate Protection Plans Response • Jan 23, 2019

We apologize for the delays with receiving this payment.Squaretrade takes great concern if a consumer has not been provided their previously guaranteed payment. When this was brought to our attention a specialist reached out to the consumer and discussed the situation at length. Based on our conversation we have assured the consumer their payment will arrive shortly and we're eager to have this situation resolved.

Incredible service! People you can talk to and understand. My replacement phone came so quickly, I was amazed.

I usually don't leave feedback on the web, but I have over the past several years now bought and had to use a few times the warranty coverage purchased through Square Trade. I have found them to be easy to work with and have given good service. I had one issue that was able to be resolved with a follow up phone call to further explain an issue. To date, I am not sorry to have purchased the coverage and will likely continue to do so. Thanks for taking customer service seriously. These days, that is rare.

I purchased numerous warranties from square trade. Now they say the products I purchased were not registered. I provided proof from both *** and ***. I also sent a screenshot where it show they are registered. They refuse to accept the info as proof.

Allstate Protection Plans Response • Jan 23, 2019

We apologize for any misunderstanding regarding the registration of this consumer's warranty.Squaretrade requires a proof of purchase for almost all warranties on file, whether this is provided by the consumer or the seller of the item. Once the item receipt is provided it is verified by our specialists so long as these details correspond with the warranty purchase, though this step may not be completed until the time of claim filing. This proof of purchase is necessary for a warranty to be considered valid and we cannot modify this requirement. If the consumer would like assistance with the registration process we would recommend contacting our consumer support center at

Good service

I had a great experience with Square Trade. My covered printer was making horrible grinding noises and was about to fail completely. They accepted my claim and approved it and I got payment quickly

This was the first time I used square trade after buying several warranty protection from them. I had a *** cleaner that started leaking. I contacted them and was told to take it to a local repair center and them submit a receipt and they would submit reimbursement. The whole process was quick and easy. My only complaint it it took several tries before they accepted my receipt but after it was accepted the check arrived shortly thereafter. The receipt submittal was my only issue. I used the same process to submit my original purchase receipt as I did with my final receipt so it shouldn't have been this complicated that's my reasoning for 4 stars.

Squaretrade was able to solve my broken moto 4 phone, its a shame, they couldn't give me a moto 4 phone, because I had to wait for a wallet style, thats junk, compared to my new one that fits *** All in all, I'm thankful for the new one, the next day!!!!!!

This company appears to be unscrupulous, they had an agent who could barely speak English who told me I would be getting a check within one week and I have not received anything in well over that time. I wrote to them and have received no reply.

Easy to communicate with. They took care of my problem without any hesitation.
