Was very pleased with the whole experience. CHAT personnel were very helpful and my claim was processed immediately.

I cancelled my contract on my 3 phones. They said they would refund the card that I originally paid with. I explained that that card had been closed for over a year. They said they would pay me by check. I have spent hours and hours on the phone and still don’t have my money. I will never use square trade again!

First representative wasn't really helpful, kind of gave me the runaround with the website. The second representative got straight to the point and was able to resolve my issue.

Problem has not been completely resolved yet, but Squaretrade has been very helpful so far.

I purchased a warranty from the company for my *** on ***. This warranty is a 3-year warranty that from their advertisement, begins after the manufactory warranty expires. The manufactory coverage is a 1-year warranty. From the advertisement of Square Trade, I should have coverage until *** The Printer has an issue, and Square Trade will not honor their warranty and fix or replace the printer is necessary, which is what the warranty covers. Through conversation, Square Trade admitted the wording is miss leading, and they can understand why one would think that the warranty would still be effective. They made the mistake of false advertisement and they would fit the wording. However, I would not be able to fix my printer with a warranty. I have screenshots of their misleading wording. I feel that the company miss lead me in purchasing the warranty and they should honor what they claimed they were selling. The company was also miss leading, when I talk to *** from the *** office on ***, she led me to believe that they were going to honor the policy because of this misleading statement. *** asked if I minded hanging up and wait for a call from ***, because changing the date of the warranty would take some time. When *** called me, it would be so I could further process my claim to get my printer fixed. I directly asked her, "So this means Square Trade is going to honor my warranty?' Her reply was "Yes". That conversation was recorded, if you need to hear it they have it and the notes from what we discussed.

We apologize for any misunderstanding regarding Squaretrade's warranty.Squaretrade warranties initiate on the day of purchase, though Squaretrade does utilize the manufacturer warranty for the product for a period of one year. This policy is in place to ensure consumers receive the maximum usage of their Squaretrade warranty, as our warranties can only provide a finite amount of repairs or replacements. If an item manufacturer denies servicing the item or is unreachable Squaretrade can also step in to provide service. This consumer did not contact Squaretrade until a year following the expiration of the Squaretrade warranty. Due to this we would not be able to honor any claims for this product. We understand the consumer felt this was not clearly messaged and we will proceeding with a review of their claims history to address these concerns.

Squaretrade warranties initiate on the date of purchase, though for the first year we utilize the coverage from the manufacturer for that product. As our advertising states, the first year of product coverage is the responsibility of the item manufacturer. However, if the manufacturer denies coverage or if the item experiences a failure not covered beneath their warranty Squaretrade steps in earlier than this one year period to assist. Information regarding this policy is listed in the in the terms and conditions of this consumer's warranty contract (How Our Coverage Works). This contract is provided automatically upon purchase so long as the email address of the consumer is available from the transaction details. If it has not been provided we can provide it any time via email or hard copy upon request. Squaretrade also provides consumers access to view their warranty details on *** and the Squaretrade app.

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:

Square Trade advertisement clearly states that the coverage begins after manufacturers warranty expires. My *** warranty lasted a year, I did not need to access it however it covered my printer for a full year after purchase date. By the advertisement of square trade the warranty I purchase should have started the dated after the *** manufacturer warranted ended. If Square Trade would honor that they adverse to get my purchase, then my printer is still under warranty until ***

All I am asking is for this large company to honor what they posted on their website. Their own business website is where you can find the information I have shared. Its not on a second hand or side site. It was clearly marked on their site. Its was easy fro me to go to that site this year and screen shot it. I purchased my printer 4 years ago and until now they are clearly advertising that their Warranty takes effect when the manufacturer warranty ends. I did not miss read their words on how the warranty works, I attached another image of a screen shot from THEIR OWN website.

Please I am a small business and I honor what I saw I will do and services I provide. Why will you not honor what your advertisement clearly states. Other wise your admitting to false advertisement.

Great experience! Purchased a headset about 18 months ago and spent about $5 for a 4 year warranty. Headset stopped working so I contacted Square Trade and they offered to pay for repair, or just buy me out. The buyout offer was very reasonable and I asked for an ***gift card". Due to holidays, I didn't get the email with the credit, so I contacted them via chat and got the credit really quick. Definitely will use them again when I can!

I have been waiting for a reimbursement check for my daughter's broken phone since JULY, 2018. I have called over 35 times regarding this check always with a promise to "escalate to accounting to get the check to us." It is now January, 2019 and I have another promise to receive the check within 7-10 days. I have requested delivery confirmation AND a call back from a manager due to the experience I've had. I have posted my phone number so maybe, now that I am asking help from the Revdex.com, Square Trade will finally send my check and call me.
After doing business with them since the beginning, I am now resorting to telling others about my treatment and hope to get resolution. I am thoroughly disheartened that Squaretrade has declined in this way. My humble advice: Do NOT buy insurance via Square Trade for a phone. Please do not.

I have spent the past week trying to file a complaint. First I go online and am told to call then when I call I am told to go online. I have been promised a call back at least 4x and yet no call. When I complain they try to tell me I need to wait longer, apparently 4 days when promised 30 mins isn't waiting long enough. I won't even shop at places that use this company.

Took my *** + To one of their repair facilities, replaced the screen in less than an hour with absolutely no trouble whatsoever. I will not hesitate to buy their insurance on anything else I purchase.

Start to finish not one problem or issue getting the item repaired. It was completed on schedule and returned. The entire process was simple and easy. Definitely purchase this warranty in the future.

A printer failed 21 months into a 24 month contract. Described symptoms on-line and they offered to reimburse me full price plus cost of Square Trade contract the same day. No need to return printer and the check arrived within a week.

I am very very pleased with the service from Square Trade! They always do a great job!

SquareTrade refuses to honor my PC warranty. I have spent at least 12 hours on the phone with SquareTrade. The last call was 2 hours 54 minutes long. This has been going on since October (almost 60 days). Also, their web site WILL NOT let me set up an online account. I have had multiple online chats that have not gotten me anywhere! On Nov. 30 2018, their phone support person said I had voided my warranty, emailed me the contract to prove it to me, and she lied. I asked for her supervisor, read him their contract back to him, then asked for that person's supervisor, then that person's supervisor. Finally they agreed she was "incorrect" about the warranty agreement and said they will honor the warranty. Now it's been 3 weeks since their email acknowledged they received the PC (for the second time!). If this was more than just a simple PC I would have already hired a lawyer. I have lots of documentation to support what I am describing here.

I purchased *** from *** 11/2017. I was encouraged to purchase a protection plan for an additional cost of which I did. On 12/3/18 I reached out to Square Trade to file a claim because my earbuds just stopped working back in September and they will not charge. I have called and spoken to several customer service reps as well as supervisors and they keep giving me different time frame as to when my claim will be honored. On 12/26/18 I spoke with a supervisor named *** and he blatantly told me he does not know when my claim will be fulfilled. He said my claim could take as long as it takes for his outsourcing team to locate the product. My item is not an antique and they are sold in stores world wide I am not sure why it is taking them this long to replace my item. This is an unfair practice and has left me feeling completely helpless and disempowered since they are the only ones under contract to replace this headset because they are my extended warranty. They have made me file a claim upload my receipts verify my information and now after all that they will have not replaced my headset nor refunded me my money

Squaretrade processed the payment for this item on 1/3/19 to the address previously confirmed by the consumer. We also processed the refund for the warranty purchasing price on 12/14/18 to this same address.We understand the consumer has not received these payments, therefore we have reached out to the email address on file to confirm which mailing address the consumer would prefer to have these payments resent. Squaretrade has several policies in place to address delayed or missing payments, though we require contact from the consumer in order to initiate these processes.

I am usually reluctant to purchase additional product insurance on anything but on cell phones it is highly recommended and praised. When my phone fell from that high window above the bathtub and shattered the screen and broke some pieces from around the camera lens, I was glad I had the replacement coverage. I did not find any claim instruction at the carrier's website so I called them. They took some preliminary information to help process the claim and connected me with the SquareTrade representative. He asked relevant questions, made sure I knew what was happening and what to expect. A couple of days later I had the replacement and I followed their advice for backing up the info from the damaged phone and I was back in business and sent the damaged phone back to them. The process could not have been any easier!

Great service from this company when my TV screen went black. Talked to someone immediately who even had a record of my sales slip from *** for this item. Put me on hold for 2 minutes to get a tech. Tech had me do a simple check on the set which did not fix the problem. Rep came back on the phone and said to go online and pick a new TV from the list which would be delivered to my door. Less than a week and it arrives. Works great and I never had a better experience than that with a warranty company!
