TOTAL SCAM....If I could give negative stars I would.
ST says they will cover a item for certain things when you buy...but have a claim and suddenly it changes to, NO.
I was refunded and dropped just while talking to support....I never once asked for refund but just to understand why my policy emial said yes but claims say NO.

On 12/17/17 I purchased a 3 year Squaretrade protection plan on a *** which I paid $459 for. The product is made by a *** company and therefore has limited support in the US. I figured since Squaretrade was offering an extended warranty on the product I would be set for any future repairs. Towards the end of 2018 I started experiencing an issue with the vacuum no longer picking up any debris. I regularly maintain the robot by making sure to clean the filter and empty out the *** however it seemed as though something was preventing the ***n from collecting debris therefore effecting the overall performance of the cleaner. I attempted to contact the manufacturer while it was still under warranty however they required me to ship the unit back *** which I felt would have taken far too long for me to be without a vacuum. I decided to wait until the Sqauretrade warranty kicked in and contacted your support on 1/7/19. I explained the problem and your support was very quick to respond with a shipping label after I sent in a receipt of my purchase. On 1/11/19 I received an email from Squaretrade claiming that the unit was being returned to me unrepaired after being deemed a biohazard due to traces of animal urine. I could not believe what I was reading, first of all I do not have an pets. Secondly the unit is a MOPPING robot, if the pad was a bit wet it was only water as per the manufacturer instructions I am not allowed to load the reservoir with any cleaning products.

We apologize for any issues the consumer experienced. When a device is sent in for depot repair, the item is audited and inspected before repairs begin. Upon unboxing the consumer's device, the repair depot observed a pungent smell of urine coming from the device. Due to the strong odor of urine coming from the device it was boxed up and immediately sent back to the consumer. At this time we are not able to process any further claims on the device due to the urine on the unit. The consumer's warranty cost has been refunded in full.

Squaretrade technicians must audit items based on the condition they arrived to our repair center in. Since Squaretrade technicians determined this item smelled of bio-hazardous waste we would be unable provide an additional claim for this product.

Since we cannot approve a repair for this product Squaretrade has fully refunded the policy purchasing price.

I reject your refund and will be pursuing legal action. You have violated our agreement and are now refusing me service.

This complaint is regarding the extended warranty product advertized through *** at the url*** This warranty does not state anywhere in the listing that it is valid only when purchased with a phone on ***, however after purchasing this I was told the plan was not valid for phones purchased elsewhere (after meeting all their documentation requests and validation and being approved). This complaing was given to the company over 3 months ago and they have not edited the listing whatsoever, therefore I believe this practice constitutes fraud and false-advertizing, They had no ability or interest in providing be with the advertized warranty at the price given on their listing, the only option was to choose a differenty contract at a significantly higher price (2x).

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because: I was told by square trade that the advertisement/product listing would be updated 3 months ago, and after seeing it had not been I decided to make the formal complaint. Therefore, the businesses “promise” that this will be updated is insufficient to me.

Squaretrade is constantly implementing improvements for our advertisements and policies, though certain processes may take longer than others. This is all handled via internal processes and Squaretrade did not guarantee a specific date for the update of this advertisement.Additionally, a Squaretrade specialist previously attempted to contact the consumer to discuss the situation and we have not received a reply.

I had a repair done on my ***. When I received the tablet back it would not power on anymore, had frame damage, would not recognize a charger being plugged in, and was repaired with a non oem screen. I contacted Squaretrade by phone and talked with a representative for 20 minutes and they stated they would get this resolved. This damage was not caused by me, I sent it in with a broken screen and lack of response from the touchscreen and received back a tablet that would not boot, would not charge, and had frame damage near the volume buttons from where they tried to pry the old screen off. The device is useless now, doesnt work at all after they supposedly repaired it and tested it. They had to have damaged the inside of my device when they were fixing it. I receive the email from squaretrade customer service after 20 minutes on the phone and explaining everything and they told me to turn on the device and do a factory reset. How am I supposed to do a factory reset when the device doesnt even pass the first boot screen or charge work. Representative tried to consistantly say I damaged it during the phone call, when I pulled it out of their box this way. Care Plan

We apologize for any issues the consumer experienced with their device. The email received by the consumer is a troubleshooting email sent to all customer's filing a claim. A factory reset can fix many consumer issues when the device powers on. Looking into the consumer's account, a new claim was filed to address any issues with the device. A prepaid shipping label has been emailed to the customer send the device in for repair.

These people are wonderful. I filed a claim online in a matter of minutes and had my prepaid shipping label instantly emailed to me. I was able to visit with their online support who were very helpful. I was notified when they received my item as well as when repairs were completed and the tracking number for shipping back. The entire process took about 1 week and my item was returned to me safely and in working condition. The entire repair along with shipping was completed at zero cost to me which is great as that is what I was told when I purchased the protection plan. Would definitely buy more protection from them in the future.

I was having issues with my ***I contacted *** and they told me that it was a known defect but that my TV was out of warranty (by a couple of months). I had given up hope until I remembered I bought the Squaretrade extended warranty. I thought I was saved! I called them and at first they were very kind and professional. Then they kept asking for more and more information, I gave them everything they asked for I was told that "everything seemed to be in order" but that I would have to wait for a phone call from their "Specialist" (or something like that). Well, I waited for days and the call never came. I waited a week then called them back. I again got friendly helpful people who made me feel like everything would be ok, until they transferred me to their "Specialist". He told me that he reviewed the pictures I sent and that the tv seemed to be "damaged" and asked me how that happened. I immediately got upset because I knew his "Specialty" was turning down claims. I got Extremely upset at this point because This tv was in perfect condition besides the Manufacturing Defect. I told him I wanted to talk with his supervisor and after a long hold and being hung up on twice, I finally reached a supervisor who told me in these exact words "we do not cover Manufacturing defects"*** What do you cover? I asked. He informed me that he was sorry but that his decision was final and that they were not going to honor the warranty. I have since found that they have done this to Many, Many people. So in the end the company I thought would be my savior turned out to be a dishonest company who take money on false pretenses and do not honor their contracts.

We apologize for any issues experienced with the consumer's device. The SquareTrade Tv warranty offers extensive coverage from a variety of hardware and electrical failures. Upon review of the pictures provided SquareTrade determined the device showed signs of physical damage. SquareTrade does not offer accidental damage from handling coverage for TVs. We understand the consumer feels physical damage is not the cause of the item's failure, but SquareTrade specialists are extensively trained to recognize these types of issues. At this time we have attempted to contact the consumer to discuss the situation and find an alternative resolution. We are currently awaiting a follow-up to the email sent to proceed.

They were great to work with much better than other warranty co *** used.

SquareTrade took care of me. I had issues with connectivity with remote and ***smart" TV. Agent walked me through the TV checks and the Remote checks. Narrowed it to three buttons on the remote and they sent me a new remote in less than a week. I could have bought one immediately and they would have reimbursed me but I chose to have them send it. Although a bit tedious on the "checking it out" steps; took an hour to do all the checks, I did learn how to troubleshoot easier than trying to decipher the online *** search "answers." So a positive outcome.

I filed a claim regarding my *** my contract was valid for new claims through 5 Dec 2018 so I was within the window to have my item covered by the protection plan that was purchased with this vendor. I have followed up numerous times regarding a resolution to my issue. I was transferred to *** directly and after 3 hours attempted fixes, the issues were unresolved. A tech repair was approved and upon service completion, the servicing technician noted that the issues were ongoing and that the repair did not resolve the issue. I was told that he would input his notes into the system and to await a call from SquareTrade. I never received a call so I followed up the following week. I was told that they would update the notes and I would receive correspondence. I received an email on 25 Dec 2018 stating that I would need to record the issue and submit it for further review. I then contacted the company stating that due to the*** of the issues, I would be unable to submit a video depicting the issues. I was told that someone would be in touch; I never received any form of correspondence regarding an alternate solution. I called today (7 Jan 2019) and was told that although my issue was not resolved, no one in the claims department had requested the customary extension of coverage (to keep coverage in place while the issue was being fixed) nor did anyone I spoke to ever mention or offer this extension until I called today, and "extending my warranty is no longer possible". Now, Square Trade refuses to complete my claim even though it is due to their representatives failure to extend coverage and/or follow up with me in a timely 58manner regarding any solution to my issue.

We apologize for any difficulty experienced with this claim.Squaretrade technicians are only able to service issues with devices which can be replicated at the time of service, as this verifies what repair is necessary to address those device issues. When our technician was unable to duplicate these issue Squaretrade requested video of the behavior multiple times. Being that this consumer's warranty expired on 11/30/18 and we were not provided the request videos we would be unable to approve this warranty.

This claim was filed a day previous to the warranty expiration, and while the initial claim was valid Squaretrade can only provide a 30 day grace period beyond the end date of the warranty to resolve these types of concerns. Squaretrade requested a video of the issue on 12/24/18, but we were not provided any documentation of the issue. We understand this process may have been difficult for the consumer but this was necessary for us to provide service and determine a proper resolution to the claim. Since this policy is expired and outside of the warranty's grace period we would be unable to provide an additional claim.

I responding to the request for video on 12/25 and was told to await further correspondence. Correspondence that was never received. I was told that some one would follow up due to the nature of the issue. Also, initially you stated that the tech didn't see the issue. Which is utterly false. His exact words were "I have never encountered an issue like this.....a repair that should've taken half hour, took 2.5 hours....". He DID in fact witness the issue, and because of this he should have documented it with you all. There is no reason why there shouldn't be evidentiary notes already on file for my claim. Regardless, no one ever confirmed that a video was the only resolution, nor was an alternative offered until the "grace-period" conveniently experied. In addition, your supervising representative stated that a temporary extension COULD HAVE been applied until the issue was resolved, however due to them being more concerned with saving SquareTrade money, that extension was clearly never applied. Your representatives stalled this process until they KNEW time was up. In addition you stated that the warranty expired 11/30, also per the supervisor, my warranty wasn't expired until 12/5. Clearly this is all an attempt to confuse, deceive, and misdirect consumers until "there is nothing you can do". I don't think so. Something SHOULD be done to resolve my issue, that's not only good business practices in accordance with the actual warranty I was sold, but the honest and decent thing to do. I expect a resolution. They were very responsive and gave me a number of options to fix my watch. Went very smoothly.

Very happy with the way the situation at hand was taken care of. Very easy to navigate, very quick response and the payment was received in less than 3 days after the claim was put through/ I use square trade for mostly ALL of my personal electronic devises.

I had a issue with my 2 year old *** television. When I called there tec department, he was so nice.We went threw a few steps. Try to resolve it, didn't help. He shipped me a brand new *** 65 inch television. / not a refurbish one

I had to file a claim for my son’s *** 2 days after I purchased the phone because he cracked the screen. SquareTrade filed the claim with me on the phone within 15 minutes. I received the printing label by email the same day. I sent the phone off via *** and they emailed my egiftcard for the full amount of the phone within 2 hours after *** processed it. I thought the facility had to physically get the phone and it would be 7-10 days before the e-gift card was issued. I was able to purchase a new phone the same day I send the old one off, all the store did was scan the barcode from my phone. SquareTrade was very reliable, patient, and made the stressful issue very easy since I needed the phone back before my son left for college. I’m glad I purchased the insurance. I love that they allow 2 claims per year for 2 years if it aligns to their requirements.

Very happy with the way my claim was handled. Very fast and efficient! Had my new replacement TV in a matter of a few days, which was during the Christmas holiday season. I could not be more pleased with Square Trade than I am right now! Thank you Square Trade for turning this unfortunate situation into a very pleasant one for me and my family.

I purchased 2 years ago a tv from ***$ and putchased a 99$ 4 year protection plan inwas told it covered everything software and hardware. This past new years day the tv fell off the counter it had been sitting and broke into peices I cleaned it and threw it away I went to sams and got a recipt tryied to put a claim and they are denaying me saying they dont cober this.

I understand all u say, but I only purchased it for this matter if you want to settle for a partial portion of the pirice I payed I can accept but for the inital price of the warrany is a smack in my face. Square trade helped me with a replacement phone. The representative made it so easy. I am in awe at how quick, and efficient it was. I have other products with the Square Trade extended warranty. Now I know I will have a pleasant experience if have the need.

Will honor the product repairs or replacement.

Lower than one star if possible Save your money don't buy a warranty from them. You'll never see a dime.
