I reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find the resolution is satisfactory to me I have spoken to the local manager Tolisa here in St Louis MoTolisa despite me being a disgruntled customer, ended up being
very helpful in resolving my issue in a pleasant manner despite the situationI am pleased all has turned out fine and my sofa will be replaced on 3/3/

Our store manager has spoke to this customerHe has received two chair totaling $and is keeping the piece (sectional) the way it is

The worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life! My husband and I have been in the market for a new living room set for quite some timeMy Husband has a chronic illness, so we decided as a family that we didnt need to go to a big name store and spend thousandsSo today as we were browsing online we came across what seemed to be a great deal from American freightWhen we get there, we are led to this horrible couch and loveseat that I wouldn't even consider for my kids playroomLet alone a true family room where we entertain our guestsSo we browse for a while with our two toddlers and see a few things that peak our interestMy family and I sit down to discuss which set we like bestWe are prepared and about to make a very large purchaseThe next thing I hear is "get off my furniture kids" my husband and I immediately get up and begin to walk our kids to the car deciding not to purchase from this companyAs we walk by the manager, without provocation, he yells at me and says I don't come to your home and climb on your furniture maybe you should keep a better eye on your kids This immediately stopped me in my tracksFirst he yells at my kids then he yells at me! I turn around as my husband takes the children to the car and ask the manager if he has childrenHe avoids the question and tells me that I am a bad mother because my husband and I, in his words were not watching our boysThis is the store manager! Picking a fight with a customer! I have never felt so disrespected and angry with a company before in my lifeAs a manager of a store myself, I would never treat anyone the way this man treated my familyAnd yelling at children! I think not! This so called business will never get a dime from myself or anyone I know ever againBuyers beware!

My husband and I desired to purchase a sectionalWe found one that we liked at the Burnsville, MN storeWe were told by the individual at check-out on 5/8/that they were currently out of stock, but the item would be in by May 9th and we would receive a call shortly thereafter to come and pick it upAfter not receiving a call by the 13th, the day the receipt stated the item would be in, I called to find out the individual who checked us out was not accurate what-so-ever in the dateThe sectional was not expected on a shipment and there was no definite time it was expectedWhen I explained we were renting a moving truck on 6/2/and that was the "drop-dead" date we needed the item by, I was assured it would most certainly be in by then even if it meant they have it shipped from another storeNeedless to say my phone number and name was requested so that an update could be providedFor three weeks I called in twice a week and was told by the various company representatives that the item would be in by the date I notedToday after my final call I was told there was no end in sight when the item would be inEvidently the individual they kept requesting updates never returned their call, so they never provided me the updates noting each time (twice a week) I called in I was assured the item would be inAlthough the company policy is NO REFUNDS and only store credit, I was provided a full refund for my item upon requestI expressed my extreme frustration with the smoke blown up my XXX for the month that the item would be inWhen I went to the Revdex.com site to submit my review I was relieved to see unfortunately that I am not the only one who had zero customer service, integrity, and honesty with my situationI would have appreciated having a heads up immediately that the item was not going to be in (a month after I was promised it was) but was strung alongFortunately *** at *** *** provided me with outstanding customer serviceWe received a full refund from American Freight and purchased a much higher quality item for just a few dollars moreBewareIt is not worth your time and effort to consider a purchase from this companyRead the reviews and complaintsThey are realMine is realGo somewhere else!

I purchased what American Freight advertised as a quality mattress from American Freight A few months after the purchase the mattress began to slope severely I sleep by myself and weigh 165lbs, when I lay in the bed the other side of the bed is almost or inches higher than the side I am laying on The pillow top completely failed, and all you can feel is the spring I contacted the manager of the store, went through the process of filing a claim (sent pictures, gave a disposition, etc) I checked back with the manager a week and a half later, he said it could take up to a month on a warranty claim I check back at about the day mark, the email went return to sender because the managers email address is no longer valid I am sick of these people screwing me around, I just want my money back or a fully functional mattress I have developed back pain, I lose sleep, and I wake up feeling hung over every day

I purchased the "New York Trundle Black" bed on 07/15/for $The railings fell apartThe wood split in two and cracked in half.....I haven't had the bed for daysI had it for daysOn the 19th day it fell apartCalledThe store and theyTold me that because IDidn't purchased their warranty that I would have to deal with the manufacturer....I read the receipt out to the sales person....It states that, American Freight does not extendWarranties other than specified by manufacturersSo I asked what they were? I was told that thereIs noWarranty.....I felt that that statement was very misleading to me as a consumerThey should information the consumers who will be making a purchase from them that the purchase will be buy at your own risk.....As isFurniture....I just want my money back.....I was sold a bag of goods that areDefective had I was told that theCompany is aAs is company....I would have gone elsewhere

We bought sofas that fell apartSo American Freight said I have a pair that is much better qualitySo they exchanged the sofasThen those fell apartSo I complained to the corporate office and they exchanged for what he said was excellent qualityTheses two sofas have caved in inside the seatingLike the last sofas all didI am very upset because I offered to get a more expensive set and pay the difference for bettter qualityThan the sofas we had been gettingHe guaranteed me they wouldn't fall apart and so they didWe don't hardly use the sofasI expect to use the $credit for this last pair and pay $for a more dependable set

EXPLANAION:
While the customer did initially conduct a self-pick up of the merchandise, we have offered to exchange it at no cost to them
We have attempted to exchange this furniture as a courtesy to them several times, during which the customer has either been unavailable or rescheduled the exchange
The last time we called them to attempt delivery they outright refused the exchange
--The customer had purchased the Fabric Protection, and as it was still damp, we explained it may appear slightly darker than intended until it dries, as does any fabric
We also verified our inventory on the other color that the merchandise comes in, and our inventory is accurate, suggesting that the customer did in fact receive the correct merchandise
I have already spoken with the store manager and advised him to continue attempting the exchange at the customer's convenience
CUSTOMER WILL NOT BE REFUNDED...SEE OPTIONS

There isn't nothing American about it! Purchased a lot of furniture from this store the the sales associate Ensure the warranty I have purchased was for any damage and that it was a yr protection plan, which was a lie and was all hear sayIt was completely bogus, and have not received any detailed documents stating the policy of guardian value planWhen I first purchased my bedroom set, I purchased a living room set with coffee tables and end tables, they had the coffee table in stock so I brought it home and put it together, it was damaged as soon as I opened the boxPaid the 70$ bogus delivery fee and had called and taken photos of the damaged goods that were purchasedSo when scheduled for delivery they were to take back the damaged table and bring a new upon deliveryThe store was unorganized with the delivery because the delivery guys had note such statement regarding the message to do soSo I wait again and they finally found the new coffee table and delivered it the same day with the rest of the goodsUpon retrieving the bedroom set, and the living room set, after they left I was excited to put together my furniture and started taking it out of the boxesEverything but the couches were damaged, I took pictures and called and showed the sales associates at the store what they sold meThey were to set another time to pick up and deliver the new replaced goodsWell, they waited forever to schedule it and turn around and gave me the run around, to the point I had enoughI finally got the number for the warranty place that is not specified on sales receipt of course you can only claim incidents that happened with in days! I've been trying to get this resolved since May 2017!

Bought $worth of furniture from themGot it delivered one of the couches were rippedCalled Robert the manager said he would have a replacement delieveredA week goes by, I called again and he said he doesn’t know when he will have the right piece in and wouldn’t give us a refundWe had to change our color of the couches to chocolate and got those deliveredThose were rippedHad to wait another week for that replacementOur dresser delievered was the completely wrong dresser and style and color, called and spoke to the manager “Jack” who apparently doesnt work there, and they laughed about it and they think its funnyOnly offered a small store creditNo refund

I purchased a box spring for my son on December 21, from American Freight, Front Street Vestal, NY At no time did any salesperson say the box spring could not be taken out of the plastic covering in order to be returned They also did not say anything to my son when he picked it up My son got it home, unwrapped it and it was too high for the bed He took it off the bed and returned it to the plastic covering Now American Freight is refusing to exchange the box spring as it was taken out of the plastic We were never told not to remove the plastic to try it on the bed I have never had any issue with any other store in the area such as Raymour and Flannigan or Metro Mattress They come and replace whatever needs to be replaced with any of my bedding

On April we expected the delivery of the ABILENE Tabacco Reclining Sofa between 3:00- 9:00pmUpon calling the Erie Blvd store numerous times we were informed that the couch was in the truck and was in transit for deliveryAt 9:pm we received a call from someone stating he was the delivery driver and the truck was broken down in Watertown NY which is approximately 1/hrs north of were we liveAlso when he checked the mercahandise he had in the truck it was Not the couch we had orderedOn April I contacted the Erie Blvd store andspike to Nathan who is the store manager to explain the situationHe informed me that the couch we ordered has not even been ordered yet and he was unaware of the situation that occurred the pervious dayI informed him that his employees stated to be that they had the right couch on the truck which was not the caseAlso he informed it would be another 3-weeks to receive the correct couch since it was never ordered in the first placeI

I did a lay a way at American FreightI paid the lay a way off a living room set, coffee table, end tables and lampsI paid my lay a way off on 11.11.2016, I advised the furniture company that I would like my furniture delivered to my house on Friday, November 25, The furniture was delivered on that date, however, I realized that the furniture was the floor model of the loveseat and the rocker reclinerThere is a tear on the loveseat and also a mark on it I went to the store and spoke to the manager, Sean and he advised me that he would gladly order me a new loveseat and rocker recliner I contacted the company's headquarters and Kyle called and advised me to wait until after the holidays for delivery of the furniture I contacted the Penn Hills American Freight and spoke to the manager Sean on Friday, January 13, 2017, and he advised me that the furniture had to be delivered from the furniture manufacturers and he had no idea when the new furniture would be delivered

The customer didn't like the options we had for the priceThe customer wants different options for 398, our stores only have so many and are not interchangeable. Customer can not customize, packages advertised are the exact and cannot be interchanged

This customer has had her furniture for years and monthsThere has been wear and tare after this length of time! Customer did a claim on this fact and it was denied by the warranty company (PLEASE HAVE HER READ THE GUIDELINES ON HER WARRANTY)
American Freight will be happy to try
another claim through the manufacturer this tine with ONLY THE SOFA AND LOVESEAT, THERE IS NO WARRANTY ON THE DINNETE SET WITH ITS MANUFACTURER
Please have this customer send in pictures of the defects in the loveseat and sofa to: Kevin O*** our Regional Manager and he will send to the manufacturer to see if the sofa and loveseat can be replacedAF cant promise a replacement but we will be happy to try!!

purchased a mattress on 11/5/ for $and the price was advertised as eachbox spring and mattress for Salesperson said it was for Queen only and we needed King Mattress onlyOn 11/6/we went on website and price was each for kingWe contacted J.T who said he was a manager and ask for refund since it WAS for kingHe said it was for each piece pricing box spring at since it has separate parts to itThis is very deceptive because you cant use half of a box spring for a mattressMark said 1/of box spring is and the other half is then and only then is the mattress That's like selling mattress for price but saying stuffing and springs to make mattress is additional priceThey should not be able to advertise falsely or bait and switch I should be refunded $because and is I paid

I bought items one was missing upon deliveryIt been about months they still have not resolved that issueI contacted them numberous times still have not resolvedEven the manager lied to me several times still waiting
