I spent a bit over $to american freight in July of I purchased a bunk bed and a new mattressDuring the time of purchase I remembered the woman who was checking me out at the front telling her co workers that the bunk bed I was buying had “a millon pieces”American freight sends another company that they work through that handles all deliveries and set up of their furnitureI was told during time of purchase the set up fee through the company they work through would be a separate fee of $and that they only set up furniture if they “have the time” and they will call me minutes ahead to let me know they are on the wayWhat actually ended up happening was the delivery guy didn’t call me until he had already arrived at my apartmentWhen he called I told him I was not home but I can be there in about minutesHe called back after the minutes again rushing meDuring the time of delivery I paid the delivery guy $instead because I didn’t have any change to pay exactly $Then the guy said that he didn’t have time to set my bunk bed up and that he would have to come on a different day to my house to set up my furniture and he would have my change thenHe told me that he was late to his other customers and was in a hurrySo I said “ok understood” So we scheduled for the next morning but he never showedI called the delivery guy back and asked what happened to him coming he told me he “slept in too late” and apologizedHe told me he would come by in the evening and never showedThat continued for daysI had been calling this guy and politely texting him asking when would he be by to help me with set upI was constantly apologized to and given the run around each time I reached outI was told he was going to call but didn’t remember my phone number or he would say he tried calling me yet I had no missed calls from himHe also kept telling me had a “busy day”and he would be by on a certain day and a certain time but would never showMind you all these times, I would sit at home expecting this man to show upI was always nice and understanding and didn’t give him a hard time as I know they have other customers but the way I was handled as a paying customer was bsAt the end of all the bs I never got my bunk bed set up for my kids nor my damn change backI did in fact end up driving back to american freight to complainI asked to speak with a manager about my bunk bed set up so they called for the guy responsible for delivery and set up to come to the front to speak with meThe guy that came to the front was the same guy that kept giving me his word that he would come and set up my bedOf course he once again told me he would be to my home later that day to set up and that he has been busyHe even had nerve to let me know that he just recently delivered furniture to my neighbor but didn’t stop by my apartment because he assumed I already got the bunk bed upThat evening the man STILL never showedI am a single mom of and I know nothing about setting up a bed nor did I have anyone reliable to help me with the set upTherefore I really counted on that delivery guy to come throughAmerican freight does have a nice collection of merchandise but if you buy anything from them do not buy anything that has to be set up that has “a million pieces” as they will duck you to getting the furniture you paid for set upI’ll spend my money to a company that appreciates my business, respects my time and hard earned moneyI didn’t intend on leaving a bad review at the end of all this but at this point I have exhausted all of my optionsI intended to go back to purchase a living room suite but since I had this bad experience I’ll will not spend any more of my money to american freight

I purchased a furniture set with a ottoman along with a dinette set from American Freight furniture on March 15, The delivery date was March 16, When I unwrapped my ottoman, I noticed that there was a cut in the ottomanI showed it to the delivery guy he took a picture and I took a picture of the damageThe delivery guy said that he would notify the manager and they would get me another one outAfter unboxing my dinette set I noticed that I was missing a side foot rail from one of the chairsI contacted American Freight and told them the problem with both the ottoman and dinette chairA manager told me he talked to the delivery guy and knew about the ottomanHe also said that he can get me the part I needed for my chair as wellI asked when will these items be replaced he informed me they will call me when the items will be deliveredI called again the following week and asked to speak with a manager, the manager told me that when a delivery comes my way I would g

On Saturday, I had a bedroom set deliveredOnce it was delivered, I discovered that the dresser was cracked on the cornerI called what I thought was the Marietta store ( but was actually the Stone Mountain store) and spoke to a manager name DelmonHe advised me to send a picture and email it to him and he will call back by the end of the business dayHe never called back so I called the same number back on sunday and spoke with DelmonHe said he called me back, however I never saw a missed call nor a voicemailAfter going back and forth, I asked what is the solutionHe said that he will send the email to corporate and call me back between 12-on monday to discuss time for a swapSo monday came and no phone call, so I called at Spoke to Delmon and he said that someone will pick up my furniture tomorrowHe said that they would call me mins ahead of time and I said okSo after no call again, I called back on Tuesday around 4:and spoke to DelmonHe was very nonchalent and sounded kinda irritatedHe called me by the wrong name and when I corrected him, he said hold onHe came back to the phone and said, you ordered your furniture in the Marietta office so you need to call them and schedule a pick upI reminded him that I have been speaking to him since Saturday and you are just now telling me that I have been calling the wrong officeHe never apologized and rudely said you need to call them, I can just see your account, I can't helpI told him that I did not like his tone and his disregard to assistI disconnected the call and found the correct number to the Marietta officeI finally called the right office and spoke to MannyHe was very apologetic and offered to have the drivers swap out my furniture the same dayToday I spoke to MrR*** after leaving a message about my concerns of my treatment and he became quite defensive by saying, but you called the incorrect officeI informed him that I did not know that I was until TuesdayHow Delmon treated me is my complaintHe did not have to dismiss me and become so combative with me from Saturday to TuesdayI makes me feel as though my hard earned money isnt ***reciated from this companyI have been a long time customer however I do not believer I will continueI ***reciate Manny for his stellar customer service, which should be trained across this company

Sofa is very badly built & AmFreight is being very slow in supporting their year warrantyThey did replace the "first" sofa, but, the replacement is worseIt's a recliner & the center cushion is protuding past both footrest with 3/" staples protuding, "I bent them down", to reduce damage to both recliner & personal injuryThey keep giving me a run around for almost months now

American Freight's policy which we are legally entitled too is......... any cash or check given by customer......a corporate company check is sent to the customers address on receipt in to business days. This policy is practiced for the safety of our employees. Ms

I purchased a mattress set and headboard from American freightThe day of my scheduled delivery the delivery company notified me that I would not be receiving the headboard due to the fact that it was damagedI then called the store whom never reached out to me about the issue and was told that I would be notified when the merchandise came inI then asked would I have to pay for delivery all over again ans waa told no at that timeOver a month later and multiple phone calls all of which were initiated by me, I still don't have my merchandise.The last phone conversation I spoke with a manager that said he would get back with me about the issue, that phone call nevwr cameFinally I did speak with the original salesperson who said they were getting the merchandise in and would call me to set up delivery and that never happenedI no longer want the merchandise or a store credit and won't be doing business with said company again

My experience with this company occurred after we purchased some furniture from the American Freight Furniture company *** *** *** location)Do not let them talk you into using their furniture delivery serviceIf you cannot pick up the furniture your self PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSEthe company that they contract to deliver for them are Con Artists!!!! I have had such a terrible experience with this delivery company and the furniture company that I will never purchase anything from them againThey give you the run around and lie directly to your faceNone of them can be trusted!! I expected my furniture to be delivered between and 4pm I was told at the furniture store by the lady behind the counter that that is the typical delivery time but I will be notified by the delivery company when they are enroute approxmins prior to their arrivaltimes the delivery driver told me that they didn't have my furniture & gave me three different locations on its whearabouts (north side, south side , and out of stock) before saying they will be here in minsIt's now going on 10pm and I am still waitingThe furniture store was no helpWhen I expressed my concern I was told well we are closed nowThis company also gave me the run around , they told me that the furniture I purchased was damaged and that they needed to give me something else or I would have to wait for an unforeseen amount of time for them to provide a replacement when I inquired about refunding my payment they said that process is forfeited when you purchase an item through layaway! Then all of sudden they found my furniture and it was an order discrepancy***!!!

I purchased a mattress set February and after a few days I noticed it slumps in the middle and sticks out on the sideI called and was told to send pictures, which I didEach time I call someone says they will call back, but no one does

I have been communicating with Jonathan O*** manager for this location, since July 5, regarding defective furnitureThe last communication I received from him was on August 8, in which he replied that he will replaced the damaged item, if the corporate office woudl not I have not had any response from him and I emailed him again on Saturday, August 27, 2016, three weeks AFTER he said he would respond to meI am asking for a refund of the item or a replacement and would appreciate a response I have not contacted the location via phone since I would like to keep a tracking of all of my communications
