While the business ultimately offered a refund, it required two hours on the phone, multiple escalations and extended time on hold, and needing to arrange pickup to avoid having a box of rotting food in degree weather on my doorstepStaff was unprofessional and what should have been easily resolved resulted in two days of inconvenience-- all for a service that is marketed to busy professionals without the time to grocery shop.

Hi ***,We apologize for any confusionI have listened to both of your callsOur cut off, as outlined by our terms and conditions that you agreed to, was Wednesday at 11:59pm the week before your deliveryI apologize if you did not see the email we sent regarding meal choiceIt is possible
it went to your spam folderHowever, when you cancelled for those weeks the confirmation email sent did indicate your next delivery would be on 7/*We do not currently send emails notifying you that you are coming off of pause because of this initial confirmationI do understand that you would have preferred a service like this and it is something that I will be sharing with my team, but we did make you aware when you first paused in May that the service would resume on 7/*Receiving meal choice emails are not related to being notified you were coming off pauseIt's just not something we currently doAt this time, the agents you spoke to were correct, we cannot stop this box nor can we refund the boxIf there is a meal you cannot eat in the box because you did not make meal choice, I can credit you for that meal and I can confirm your subscription is cancelled

checkout process, so there is no confusion We also send reminder emails to pick your meals the day of cutoff, to ensure that all of our customers are reminded that there is a box coming the following week. Your subscription is flexible, in that you can pause your deliveries for weeks you'd like to skip your box shipment. Since I posted my original complaint, I have received this months shipment from hello fresh and it is, as the last one was, full of rotten and unusable produce - and to clarify, my complaint was not only about the recipes but the quality and freshness of the ingredients If you *** hello fresh you will see that this is an ongoing problem In reference to what is said regarding the customer service rep "confirming" the next shipment and me agreeing to it, that is completely false I said multiple times during the call that I did not want to receive another shipment from hello fresh until I had the opportunity to try the other recipes since I had only tried the pizza when I first contacted themThis is a perfect example of the shady business practices by hello fresh, they have an min tape of me complaining and saying very clearly please pause my membership for weeks, so why would their rep even ask me if I want my next delivery to be the following week? I had made it painful clear I didn't want another deliveryI called and spent mins talking to *** who was rude and unprofessional and he told me on that call the shipment I received 6/** should have been free due to the quality of the ingredients
