We agree that email or regular mail for statements is not unreasonableWe have done bothWe use a ACA Certified mail vendor and have not had any issues with mail delivery with any other consumers so we are unsure why the complainant has not received any of the letters we have issuedThe most recent notice was mailed on 2/28/and mailed to the address in the complaintAgain we cannot guarantee delivery but all letters stated to have been mailed have been mailedWe cannot send an unlimited number of letters either since we are required to follow regulations set forth by the Fair Debt Collection Practices ActThis limits the number of notices that can be mailed in a specified time frameIf the issue is knowing the account number that number is *** and that can be included on any payment made whether it is online through our portal or simply mailed to us. We consider this matter now closed as we have done everything we can do to satisfy this complaint

As requested, I called the number provided and spoke to a representative over a recorded lineThere are inconsistencies around what I received from the provider vs what is in ATG recordsIt was communicated to me that account/event I am referring to is different from what ATG Credit hasAlso, the address referred to by ATG is different unit number in the same building
At this point, my contention is that I did not receive communication around the amount in question and what is reported to credit agenciesAs the amount is small and inconsequential, it would have been paid on requestTo reiterate again, I do not take my credit lightly and have never missed a payment in years nor do have a collection reported apart from this one
Based on input from ATG Credit representative, I have paid the amount today under ATG Credit reference number XXXXXX
Could you please provide documentation on the communication sent to me regarding this account to prove that
I was indeed contacted(which I am refuting) or implement the original resolution requested where the incorrect entry is removed from my credit reports

Typically we cannot remove a valid debt from the credit reportHowever as a courtesy and since the consumer claims he was not notified we will remove this as a courtesy

I agree with the resolution proposed by ATG and appreciate the courtesy extended given the fact I was not notified
I have checked all my three credit reports and entry has been removed from*** and *** However,*** is marked as updated because account is showing as closedHowever, it is not removed
Could you please re-verify update sent to***I expect the issue to be resolved given my experience on the phone and with ATG representative hereAs a result, I am marking this issue as "resolution accepted"

We have contacted our clientThey have confirmed the account is Not settled or paidHowever we are closing the account and the debtor may contact their original creditor to discuss this balance

We have reviewed all calls and recordingsThe complainant was previously set up on a hardship arrangementThese arrangements were conditional upon the her honoring the payments she agreed toHowever her payments have been repeatedly returnedShe spoke with a manager yesterday and was advised
that we could no longer honor these payments. The debt does incur interest as it is a loanThe original balance was 14,she has paid and accrued in interestThe current balance is 15083.54 We are happy to send documentation that would detail the loanThis information will be requested today from the creditor and mailed to the consumerHowever after reviewing the recordings this is the first time this information has been requested despite the statement in the complaint. In addition, after review of the recordings we can confirm that at no time was any information shared with a 3rd party nor did anyone ever refer to the consumer as a "loser"The statements made by the consumer in this complaint are false.

When an account is paid after going to collections it will reflect as Paid in Full on the credit reportIn this case as a courtesy we will remove the
tradelineThis is an exception but due to the small balance we are willing to do this The request will be made today but the update may take approximately days to reflect on the credit reportWe do not control this as we are transmitting the removal today

We have several accounts in the same name as this complainantHowever to verify identity we would need the SSN for the complainantBe aware these accounts were reported correctly therefore if this is not the proper person this would need to be brought to the CRAs (Credit Reporting Agencies)
Regarding having a contract with ATG Credit, please understand we are a collection agency and consumers with outstanding debts would not need to sign a contract with us for obvious reasons

I am rejecting this response because: I have no clue why this company is harassing me and my familyAnd yes they has give out my personal information because they called and harassed my mother about whatever it is they are claiming! They do not ask what your personal information they just say hey is your address *** whatever stAll I had to say was sureEven when asked my social number I said sure if you want it to beIf I was a hacker I could steal the identity of whoever they could be calling forTelling us we HAVE to pay them and we HAVE to listen to them! They are very demanding and the moment you disagree with they become very angry and rude! I have NEVER received any paper work from this company and I do get mail dailyI just want this company to leave me and my family aloneThey call and harasse me, my spouse and my parents.

The consumer is asking to pay to remove from her creditWe are not able to do thisWe have to remain in compliance with the FCRA which specifically prohibits this practiceIf the account is paid in full that will be reflected on her credit report, but we simply are not allowed to have her pay to
remove from credit

As we stated previouslyThe consumer would not need a contract with us in order for us to collect a debt from himAlthough this may seem self explanatory it would only be necessary for the consumer to have a contract with our client for whom we conduct collection services. We have requested that the validation documents get mailed to the consumerHowever, now the consumer is asking we not contact him which means we cannot mail him the informationWe will ask our client to send him the information insteadThe account is already in a "No Contact" Status and no calls or letters will be issued. We apologize for referring to the consumer as a female as he is a maleThat is simply based on name and we were unfamiliar with his first name. We cannot remove from credit but will notate his dispute until he has adequate time to review his paperwork from our client

This account has already been closedIt was closed on 6/10/and returned to the clientAt the same time we requested removal from the consumers credit reportThe AUD Control number is *** This number is confirmation that we requested deletionWe no longer hold the account and have
completely removed from credit.

We have placed the call in a NO Contact status and removed the phone numbersThe account will remain in this status and calls will cease

The account is closedRegardless of whether it is paid any future issues should be brought with the original creditorThe account has been closed and will be removed from credit

Unfortunately we cannot guarantee we make phone contact with every consumer.However we did send two letters to the consumerIn addition the original provider sent notices to the consumer advising of the outstanding balanceWe cannot simply remove from credit due to her claim she never received the
two lettersThis would be a violation of the FCRAWe have to follow the policies and procedures of the FCRA when reporting to the CRA's

It is a violation of the laws and regulations that govern our business to have a debtor "Pay to delete" an item from their credit reportSince this is a valid debt and unpaid we must report that information accurately to the reporting agenciesIf the account is paid we will reflect the account
as paid but under the Fair Credit Reporting Act we are prohibited from removing a valid tradeline due to payment of the debt
