First off I will start with the reviews that I read before choosing this companySeveral of them talked about the slow response from themI feel this was a unjust remark as they are in Portland OR and are hrs behind the east coastYes I understand that you want to hurry your claim but these things take timeFrom start to check in hand I have months in this processI feel if I worked a little harder and sent it to a 3rd party I may have gotten a little more but I'm happy with what they got meI called several times and they always answered or called back shortlyAnother thing I know they have a bunch of cases, it is no inconvenience to me to give them my name and info to make sure they have the right fileThe info they sent over was very informative and helpful in the processThe overall claim report did look a bit cookie cutter but I suspect any company doing this type of work will have similar results Over all I'm happy with the out come but hope I never need to use them again, but If I need to I will call on there services againI hope this helps anyone looking for help with their diminished value claim

Autoloss is a diminished value expert, which creates reports based on the severity of vehicle damage Autoloss created a report for me, however, there were several mistakes, which was brought to my attention by my insurance adjuster once I submitted the Autloss report Vehicle report stated my vehicle is a Toyota Carolla and my actual vehicle is a Toyota RAV The interior report stated the color was black and the actual color is grey The interior mater reported was polyster however, the RAV is leather Consistently the report was written mistake after mistake and I adamantly asked for them not to correct the report and for a refund

Autoloss has been great for usWe have utilized their services twice and both times have come out with a much higher settlement that was previously being offered by the insurance companyI would recommend Monica and Autoloss to anyone dealing with a total loss claim

This place is a total rip offThey will tell you that you have a great case to get your $then they tried to stick it to the insurance company for minor damage to my vehicle, I just wanted to be fairly compensated being it was a brand new vehicle After months and months and no headway my calls would not get returned from auto loss finally I requested a refund as they guarantee when you signed upThe insurance offered me The amount that I had spent with auto loss I also requested a refund from Monica FAt that point she was rude and so are her employees once they figure they're not going to get you what they tell you in the beginning I was told I would get a half of refund and after waiting for quite a while I called back wondering where my refund was, Monica Ftold me it had to go to the accountant and would be paid within to days After days and still no refund I emailed her again and was told she would pull my file, after days and still no response I emailed again got an email said my check was in the mail and I got a personal check from her for half of the money that I put into it Save your money this place is a waste of time and I would not recommend them to anybody

Our car is a Hyundai Sport 2T Limited which is a rare combination You can buy a Sport 2T or a Limited but to get the combination is rare
I found AutoLoss by doing a search on line I was hesitant at first due to them wanting to be paid up front but pleasantly surprised at the work they did
Our first attempt was to go after the diminished value in the court proceedings for the unlicensed driver but we were turned down be the judge in September of AutoLoss prepared an excellent report directed to the court but to no availI then went back to AutoLoss and asked what next They redid the report with the attention to the insurance company and sent it to them, with a copy to me, in November,
The insurance company refused to acknowledge the report due to the fact that one of the three cars used in the comparison report had a previous insurance claim and they denied all findings
I went back to AutoLoss and again asked what nextIt was now January, They said the claim may have been as minor as a cracked windshield and as me to ask the insurance company for the information on the single vehicle The insurance company refused and said they cannot release such information
I went back to Autoloss again and asked for help Autoloss did a complete reevaluation of vehicles at no additional cost to me and resubmitted to the insurance companyThis was in March The insured motorists insurance company finally came back with an offer which was 50% of what AutoLoss' report stated but right around what I expected
AutoLoss stayed with me through the whole process and went the extra mile to see I got a result I would and have recommended them to anyone looking to settle a Diminished value claim Top notch work and customer service

Autoloss was the biggest waste of time and moneyI would never recommend this company to anyoneMonica F* is quick to answer emails and calls before they have your business, but once she had your business she refers you to her help desk assistantsAmanda was also zero helpAll they do is pull quotes of your car from websites and submit the claimThey have no basis for your claimAmanda even told me to get a quote from my dealership on my carWhat exactly am I lying you for then if I have to do that?
Needless to say after that email I received from her I quit talking to them and they obviously had no need to contact me again as they already had my money before handThey never even followed up with me to see if I had gotten my claim resolvedI would steer clear of this company at all cost as all they want is your money and not to in fact help you

I contacted autoloss after getting a ridiculous offer from Geico for DV following an auto accidentMonica was very quick to tell my husband and I that we should be getting much more moneyInitially, we went to autoloss and explained we were being offer $DV when it was a new car and about $15,was spent in repairing the vehicleMonica agreed that if she could not get us more than $she would refund usNeedless to say, they made a stressful situation unbearably stressful and pointlessI was months pregnant and was carless by the time I had my childFirst, many of the documents had someone else's name! Really?? And when you ask questions they speak in circles and just say "it's all about our methodology."  I was in a multi vehicle accident in Oct where my new Honda Crv was rear ended by a semi-truckI contacted Autoloss for a diminished value quoteThey considered my new vehicle status and provided me with a diminished value estimate of $8,
The semi’s insurance agency (let’s say XYZ due to confidentiality agreement) at first did not take responsibility for the entire auto damage and my case went into arbitrationAfter about months the panel ruled that the XYZ is responsible for the entire damage to my vehicleXYZ reimbursed Geico(my insurance) for all the repairs and I got back my deductible from GeicoAfter the ruling I called up XYZ’s adjuster regarding the diminished value and provided a detail estimate from AutolossXYZ initially came up with an offer for $3,and I contacted the support team at Autoloss who then gave me a demand letter with detailed questions to ask XYZAfter about a week I called up XYZ and told them that I was already tired of the games and if we don’t settle ASAP I will just go and file a claim in small claims court without any negotiationI also convinced them that I will charge for my time to prepare the court material and my time is very expensive :) The insurance adjuster came to terms and asked me to settle at $6,which I felt was reasonable and we settledBelow are some things one needs to keep in mind:
aIf you are at fault, getting paid is going to be impossible so don’t blame Autoloss for not doing anything if you are not winning a settlement
bUnderstand that Autoloss will support you with what to say but you are on your ownThat means that it is your responsibility to understand and research everything before talking with insurance adjustersIf you have any questions, you can always call up the support team and askYou would need to talk carefully with insurance adjusters and know all the tactics wellAsk them for written confirmation and if they tell you something don’t agree on spotAlways say you will get back once you are able to get a written note on what was discussed
cNegotiating is hard so you need to be convincing and credibleDon’t show that you are weak and always be respectful to the adjusterEven though my adjuster gave me weird answers I would always ask her to repeat what she saidFor example – I asked her why her quote was far from what Autoloss provided, she told me that if my car was totaled I would have got moreI was very frustrated with the answer but very patiently said , can you please repeat that sentence and I will see if it will be useful if at all this case proceeded to the small claims courtShe immediately apologized and said that she dint mean to say that
dIf the adjuster feels that you are not strong or you demonstrate lack of knowledge they have your hair in their hands
eMonica is the owner of the company doing many claims a day so understand that if you have a problem don’t call her directly , there is a whole support team and Erik on the support team was very much knowledgeable and provided timely support
fDon’t be too greedy, know that you will have to negotiate and you are not going to get 100% of what Autoloss told youBe reasonable and professional with the adjusters and provide them with questions and evidence behind your askFor example – I took additional evidence from CAR Max saying that my car value was diminished(luckily my car did not have as much diminished)
gDiminished value is not something which is defined and it is hard to put a $ value against it (similar to pain and suffering) so understand that
hKnow that the third party insurance is not responsible to pay for the $dollars you paid AutolossIt depends on your skill to negotiate for thisSo don’t come back and tell autoloss that they are responsible to pay you back that
iAutoloss is not your legal team and if they were to provide you with legal support they would need to charge you with more than $
Finally I would like to say that I loved working with Autoloss and they have been greatI would definitely refer them to my friends and don’t believe haters out thereEvery case is different and if you are having some fault in the accident you will not get anything
