Cable one is atrociousThey are extremely overpriced for the services they provideEvery few months we are forced to purchase a more expensive internet plan Starting next month we will be paying over $per month just for internet I don't know how they measure the amount of data we use because our router measures as well and the two readings are never the same If there were any other viable option in our area I would dump them in a heartbeat

I've had CableOne in Ada, OK for about years consecutively, and I had to finally cancel my serviceThe data cap in a world that's moved to streaming and digital downloads is absolutely ridiculous, and is a pure money-grabbing policyBeing forced to move to a more expensive plan that we can't afford based upon overages, instead of just having us pay for the overage is, again, ridiculous I used to stream all day, every day and download games and such, and never used to go over up until a year ago I don't know what changed, but when I was made to move to the $105/mo plan I had to cancel my serviceWhen I called to cancel it, they didn't even try to rectify the issue, nor offer any helpWhen I called the office to talk about why I was moved to that plan, the lady literally said, " Would you like to cancel your plan? *yes, I can't afford that priceI've been with you for years and this is the first time I've had overage issues [redacted] Okay, turn your modem in to your local officeTh

I have been banned from Cableone's [redacted] page for voicing my opinion and giving out advice on how to complain to [redacted] about Cable One [redacted] Cableone may, listen to our concerns and complaints only if there is enough outside pressure to force themGo to the [redacted] and file a complaintIf cableone is petty enough to stop dissenting voices from being heard, they will never, ever raise data limits or listen to your complaintsI dispise the low data caps, and having to vigorously monitor my usage or be forced to upgrade to the next more expensive, but, not more helpful tierI currently have 300GB, the next tier is only 400GB for almost twice the priceYou don't even get twice the data! We have had problems with Cableone for well over a month now Since last year with our internet but in the last month they say they are doing upgrades and we've had major problems having a phone We are closing on our home so can't rely on the phone to work My husband has health issues and I can't rely on the phone to work We've contacted Cableone several times and they send out technitions only to be told they have upgrades and their engineeers are working as hard as they can to fix the problem They'll give us an $credt Well, I had to pay $to fax at [redacted] because I couldn't use my fax at home Then I have to use a pay as you go cell phone because the home phone I'm paying for doesn't work We are so tired and stressed because we can't rely on the service we are paying to have and they can't fix it We've asked to talk with a manager but no one calls us and they have a cell number that is reliable

First I would like to add I have received an increase every three months since having serviceI called to put my account in hold since u went out of town from the 13th of June to the 28th of June at which time I asked to have my dollar deposit added to my bI'll I come home to no Internet service and a dollar billI make the paymentAnd I call to straighten everything out they say there is no record of my account being put on holdThe lady Janet who answeredthe phone after I was transferred says it's completely disconnected putso me on hold then hangs up on meI call back only to get a recording that my issue needs to be handled by the local office and I should call back?! The service itself is as-advertised, the speeds are pretty good, the Customer Service and hoe the account & email are set up and tied together, is crap
And the bandwidth limits will force you to pay for speeds you don't need because they don't
include enough in the slower packages
When you dial the local number, they answer it elsewhere Then they waste a bunch of your time discovering that your account is managed locally, so they have to transfer you back to the local office - to the number you dialed in the first place - where you have to start all over again
I've had email issues, and I'm locked out and they won't reinstate the emailProblem now is that I can't get on their site to check MY Account or to Bill PayI was told by one tech that the local office will call me and take care of the issue, that was last week, still no call
After talking to a tech today he suggested calling the local office, well that doesn't work, you just go in circlesApparently the account is tied to your cable one email address and if that gets compromised you can't access any of your account info, pay bills, look at you bill, profile etc., you're locked out even if you don't want their email service
After being a customer since the 1980's I'm pretty much done with Cable One and will be looking for options in the next couple months

I have had problems with their service before and have put up with rude customer service, clueless troubleshooting technicians, rude installation technicians who just plain made me take a day off of work because they were supposed to come out and install service but just didn't even call me or show up at all, and just overall disregard for the fact that due to someone's negligence I have to put up with their shoddy service But when it comes time to charge me, they sure are professionals at that! I was recently without service for a while and it was due to some fault in installation or their equipment and I wasnt so much as offered an apology or anything and to top it off I had to wait a long time for a technician to even come out because they only have two in the area and one of them was on vacation

Cable One has what I would refer to as a *** *** *** They offer data speeds that can exceed their data cap in less than an hour If you violate their cap three times you are bumped up to a more a expensive plan It is a shameless cash grab, advertising, and most of all ridiculous They hide behind nonsense about data caps being in service to their customers to avoid network congestion While I do like the audacity of lying to customers' and government entities face, as a user it displeases me
They don't appear to be bothered by negative reviews, which are the only kind there are I also never would have suspected that another company could lower the customer service bar lower than Comcast, yet here we are I go out of my way to explain how completely displeased I am with their service and policy whenever given the opportunity

Data caps are unrealistic and too small for where everything is moving to the cloud

Contacted CableOne because our internet service was "Down"for the 25th time in the last month on Saturday Oct 22nd!!!!! Their excuse is always the same!!! "Outage in our area!" Why are we having so many outages I ask and the response is working on upgrading the lines! They have been doing that for a year now!!!

Now our local office is closed on Mondays and our modem also just blew out Saturday night This is the fourth modem we have had in the last year!!! They can't get here until Tuesday unless you go buy your own!!!!! Really they are a service company and Close their office on Monday
We have the higher limits on our internet and since increasing it our internet is slower than when we had the lowest version!!!!
Cable one has a monopoly in our area and we need another alternative What about Verizon Vios???? Open it up to competition I'm sure our service would improve

Had good experience with Cable One internet in Bonham, TX until I called and closed my account I never received a final bill (forwarded or at the new address I gave them.)
