Have had internet service with cable one for over yearsSuddenly in the past few months we are getting notices about going over on data(Our usage habits have not changed.) Now they are saying after the 3rd notice of data overage they are telling us we must upgrade to more expensive packageCable One is the only internet provider where we live, there are no other optionsI feel as though they are using their monopoly to lean on customers with no viable internet alternative

The data caps are way too low and are hard to make use of I have data cap which in the world today is extremely low and most cable companies have caps twice that for their entry level accounts its a joke

I originally ordered Cable ONE internet from the website and went through the corporate office (which the ordering process went swell I had a positive view of the company up to this point) However, the local business office never installed or even called when they couldn't meet the scheduled installation time However, this review isn't about not getting serviceThis review is about how after being two weeks late, I called the corporate office again and demanded to cancel my order, and get a refund They refunded the money (that took to business days) okay, but a day or two after I was refunded, I was immediately charged again the original $ This put my account negative because I was not expecting this charge nor was I prepared for it What is more, despite that they can have the money out of my account within seconds, it will still take them days to refund the money So any overdraft or rejected card fees that I incur because of minor shopping for groceries are just on mePerhaps I'm an isolated case, internet never getting installed and getting an unauthorized charge on my account, but this quite frankly is unforgivable They need to make sure that whenever a customer cancels an order like this or drops services, that they aren't still charged for services or orders that are no longer valid nor received

For months the Internet that cable one provides keep going downweeks ago a tech came to the houseI was told it was an issue with there box on my streetI was also told a master tech would be out to fix itIt was never fixed

Our office received a new modem to be installed The letter sounds like it's going to be a simple procedure Came in to work early to get it done before the staff shows up Was on hold for over minutes so, needless to say, the staff is chomping at the bit because they have work to do Finally got a technician by the name of Lance I had to run back and forth to another office to get the CMAC number and other information he was requesting The letter probably should have said to have the CMAC number available It was very frustrating To top it off, he called me HOSTILE I read another review where a tech called a customer "the B word." These techs need to remain professional and not resort to name calling If they are going to send out new equipment that needs to be activated, they need to add additional staff to handle the increase in calls To call me a name is unacceptable He didn't get the modem up and running so I just wasted minutes of my work day to be disrespected and called HOSTILE by a CableOne tech Perhaps Lance needs to be in a job where he doesn't work with customers

Beware getting service with this company for business internetThe shortest contract they offer is yearsThey are the only service provider in the area so I had no choice but to use themThe service was okNot stellarSlows down quite a bit, but I actually did not have major issues with them till I tried to cancelWe moved our business and moved into an area they could not serviceWe still had months of the contract leftWe tried to pay out the remaining balance of the contract $280.00, and set the disconnect date for the last day after the contract term, but were informed that if we cancelled prior to the term date, the disconnect fee was $They would not allow us to pay for the remaining months and set a disconnect dateWe had no choice but to let it sit active for months until the contract termedThat’s a stupid policySo beware if you decide to choose them

This company creates ridiculous reasons to charge you outrageous feesIf you want to reinstate your internet they want to charge you $to resend a technician to "make sure the connection works." The connection hasn't moved or changed and having a family member who works in a cable business I know it is not necessary to have this doneThey simply state that's just their policyIt's a bold faced lie that they have to do but it's just an excuse to charge you more moneyI also had overpaid on the account and was told I would have a credit sent to meHowever I was informed it will take days for that refund to arriveThey will tell you it's only days but they only process refunds once a month so if you missed the one day of that month refunds are processed, you must wait an additional daysThere is no legitimate decent business that would actually state something like that and stand behind it as if it was the right way to treat customersAnother issue I experienced with th

On January 1,Our cable One service was replaced by another service providerWithin, that first week I called Cable one to have their cable service only not internet but cable only to be disconnectedThey informed me that they can't do that until the cable box was returned to themI said I'm not using the box anymore please disconnect my service to the boxThey insisted on me or my mom to return the box then it would be disconnectedAt that moment I said to the rep its unfair pricing when we're calling to disconnect and they don't want to but they will still bill you until you return the boxNow, Its been a month since we departed ways with cable oneKeep in mind that we have internetMy last bill was $which I took care of it it is now 02/21/and Cable One sends us a bill for $All we have is internet which is still poor serviceThis is poor customer service and unfair billing

Constant drops in service, can not connect to the internet, or internet becomes extremely slowCompany claims speeds up to 150Mbps on the plan I am currently on, yet I am lucky if I see anything above 70MbpsI was raised to the 150Mbps without my consent, and now I'm being threatened that my service will be raised to a higher plan again because of data use, at which time I will have to cancel my service since I can not afford a higher priceData caps to speed ratio are horrible

Cable One is a scam and complete garbage, I'm fed up and tired of it, the TV service is expensive and not worth very few channels that you pay more than premium for they constantly raise their prices, Their internet is as advertised BLAZING FAST...when it works for like a few months out of the year it has constant packet loss and im constantly having to call to have it fixed they always come out and check my house and its never the issue its always out in the lines but they LOVE to waste theirs and my own time, its being crap now last time the tech actually told me if there was any more issues not to call them back out

When I signed up for cable service in August I was charged a deposit of $and was told I would receive the deposit back after days of service I have visited the local office several times and spoke to a sales representative and a supervisor and have made several phone calls to the main office and have received nothing but excuses such as: "our refund checks are only issued the 2nd Wednesday of the month", "your refund has been issued and you should receive it by Friday"It is now months later and I still have not received my refund I feel this is an unreasonable time to wait

Cable One allegedly sent a bill that said that if no reply you will automatically be billed electronically I never saw and now being billed late fee
In calling Cable One today as I was yet assessed more late fees and never received a bill again, I was told that there was a section on previous billing that if your do not call to continue paper billing it would discontinue and you would automatically be billed electronically I never saw this and for the last two months I have not received a bill The first time it was late they shut off my cable When I was paying bills I realized that again I had not received a bill When I called billing, I see they have again assessed a late fee I only pay off of paper bills It is ridiculous that if you don't see some comment that you have to call to keep paper bills There is no agreement to electronic billing on my part

I should have a complaint on file with you already This has been going on now, all the glitches in my service..with NO results by Cable One....was promised a refund as I have paid their high bills for over a year NO refund..NO satisfaction with their service calls.....and NOW they are raising my rates! I will be searching for different television service and internet..but I want satisfaction and a refund that should be substantial, as I have had interrupted service for over a year
