There is an incredibly sleazy, highly consumer adverse arrangement between Cable One In Lewiston, ID and Cable One located in Oklahoma I have received grossly substandard service on premium internet services which required numerous phone calls and in home visits from representatives of the company in Oklahoma, but billing issues tend to be funneled through the Idaho office I have in the past and recently insisted that technicians I spoke and came to the house to service, contact billing office to let them know just how bad the service has been and how much trouble the failures have caused me The latest technician assured me (within last few days) that he would I should have recorded his name but did not I think the conversation and interventions for totally failed upload service should be a matter of record for the company

Cable One is robbing me because they keep terrible payment records or informationI ended my services with them at the beginning of Nov (payed off completely)

Concern that this business is changing data plans and increasing customer monthly bill by more than 50% without notifying customer and when it is not warranted
My example: I have had internet service through this business for more than yearsThe bill has never varied more that 5$ per monthRecently the bill more than doubled and when questioned they report that I had gone over my data for more than months in a rolling year and could change my plan without notificationAfter researching my bills and data use since January, each of my data use graph's show I had GB of data and have NEVER gone over this amountWhen questioned about this it is reported this "must be a mistake." Also reported they have "just started collecting data in the last year to enforce." The only change on my bill is the rate of download, which I did not requestMy data plan has not changed in a year, yet I am now going to pay more than double
My main concerns are the lack of information

I am very upset with Cable One Cancelled service on 6/26/ Customer service told me they will send the bill for the remaining balance I never received a bill in the mail However, received from credit collection services bill This bill was posted on my credit report and a scheduled payment will be made on 8/23/ I am very upset that it will go on my credit report and show paid in full However, will be on credit report for years I can see if billed and days later go into credit collections but for one and a half months is unacceptable to put in collections just because you cancelled their service I do not see how this company can be A+ in Revdex.com Cableone charges way to much for their service that is why it was cancelled

Offers data caps insufficient to cover the average customer as they constantly promote that the customer stream video from their Facebook pageI have 100mbs account but have to limit it to 5mbs at my router just so I don't accidentally go over my cap and still have gone overThe highest speed I've ever seen down is 20mbs and they just say it works fine on their side and it will for the next hour after they look into it then back down to If you go over data cap you are forced to upgrade to the next plan an additional $or more and your only other option is to cancel service

My internet has not been working properly for Appr monthsI have called and complained numerous times, had multiple technicians comes out and assured me the problem has been fixed, however, continue to have issues with it not working properlyI have requested to be compensated for at least half of the time that my internet hasn't worked (months not working, months reimbursement)CableOne refuses and states they will only give me month credit, even though this has been an ongoing issues for over months

Cable One seems to be the ONLY internet service provider for this area and has recently been gouging its customers under the guise of "overage" on data useMy family watches Netflix for about an hour to hours a day, and I browse news sites for about an hour a dayThis doesnt seem like it would use over MB of dara a month; last year we didnt use over MB, and we havent changed anything in our daily routineIts the same Netflix on the same device and the same laptop with security measures, not to mention there isnt really a house close enough to steal internet even if they did have the passwordThe streaming is slow and we get kicked off of Netflix all the time saying "check with your ISP" and we pay dollars a monthThey just notified us for the second time to inform us that now (after cutting down the netflix to about min a day and eliminating my laptop use) we are "using" over MBAlso, we were in the hospital for a majority of last month, so I find it diff

Data limits do not reflect real world usage and overages and tactics to get customers in to higher packages to get a higher limit is criminal
I have received two warnings on if I reach my data limit again, I will be moved to another data packageI never had this issue before they increased their download speeds and kept the limits the same along with the upload speedsI appreciate the increased speed, but without a fair limit and increased upload speed, it is pointless and just seems like a way for Cable One to get extra money

So Cable One advertises they are increasing the speed without increasing the costThat is a lieBy having a higher speed, customers use more data than they normally could, and then are forced into higher packages, as high as $a month for a residential homeThis is price gouging in my opinionSo I call to disconnect, I cannot get a hold of anyone to help after PM, however, if I want new services, I believe I can talk to a person 24/They want to limit my ability to disconnect or change services, making it difficult for me to do soI work regular business hours M-F making this a challengeWhy do they OPEN all the time for NEW SALES only, but not there to help disconnect or downgrade services? I have a year business plan internet contract with cable one in ***, NDWe are moving to ***, NDCable one does not offer ANY services in ***By reading my contract that I originally signed there is an "availability" clause that states "in the event cable one determines that service is not available to customers location, this agreement shall be void" the clause does not say anything about the availability pertaining to any specific address or areaUnder this clause my contract should be void because there are no services offered to me in my new locationI have called cable one three times now to try to void the contractThey tell me the only options I have are: to pay off the contract, pay the monthly fee, or find a replacement customerWhen I mentioned the "availability" clause cable one states, that the contract states, it is only void in the same area where the contract was made for., No where on the whole contract does it say thisWhen I mentioned my contract
