Placed an order on 8/for a refurbished Logitech GBacklit Mechanical Gaming Keyboard with Cherry MX Brown Mechanical SwitchesProduct was shipped on 9/1/but unfortunately didn't arrive until 9/I admit I've become accustomed to the quick delivery that Amazon Prime provides, however I was still a little bummed at how long it took to arrive
After opening the box I immediately noticed the strong scent of cigarettesWhile I knew quite well it was a refurbished item and may feature minor cosmetic blemishes, I feel this wasn't acceptableAdditionally I noticed they had shipped the wrong model keyboard, despite what was clearly advertised on the product pageThe keyboard recieved featured MX Cherry Red Switches
I e-mailed customer service that same day (9/9) asking for an exchangeI didn't receive a response until 9/Fortunately they offered a pre-paid return shipping label and explained the exchange process would take 2-business days after receipt of the original itemI felt 2-days was a little excessive given the error was on their part
I mailed the item on 9/and with USPS tracking and confirmed it was received on 9/Waited business days for a response, tracking update, anythingEmailed them the evening of the 3rd business day to follow upThis morning (9/22) I received this response from Anthony in customer service
"Unfortunately, our warehouse and offices have been closed since Wednesday as we observe the Jewish HolidayYour return will be processed either Sunday or Monday, and then your replacement should ship shortly after that."
I enjoy supporting small business and avoiding big box retail when I can but this experience has reminded me of the gamble when buying from niche online retailers like TechRabbit
I'm still hopeful i'll receive the proper item, however i'm pretty disappointed at the lack of urgency and general poor communicationThe fact that it will take almost 30+ days to get what I paid for I hope is testament enough to look elsewhere when purchasing refurbished electronicsUnfortunately I would have been better served purchasing from Newegg or TigerDirect
