I have worked with loan servicers in a professional capacity for many years. Over the last five years, BayView has proved to be outstandingly inept in tracking and responding to entry level consumer complaints. For example, in 2015, my name was removed from the year end interest reporting to the IRS. My name appeared on the IRS reporting statement in all previous and following years. After four months, the organization has been unable to effect the correction following many calls and letters and complaints submitted via their own web site. The level of unresponsiveness is amazing.

Bayview loan servicing has been consistently calling my brother in regards to my past due bill with them, he is not on this loan or even a part of this loan. *** contacted me in regards to the several phone calls he has been receiving at his home in California, I tried sweveral times to contact bayview without success I have emailed them as of today. I want the harassment of my brother to stop immediately.

In September of 2014 an agreement between Bayview and I was done for a loan modification of loan # XXXXXX. Part of the agreement was my on time payments for the first 3 to 12 months, which I completed every month and continue do so today. After that Bayview will report to the 3 different credit burue my on time payments and no more negative records will be reported on this loan. On Sep 2016 my loan was sold to Bank of America. Therefore, Bayview should Not still report to my credit based on the agreement made and because they don't handle my loan anymore. I still continue making on time payments to new bank. Lexington Law and myself have contacted Bayview many times in regards to this issue and all I receive from them is a letter saying that they will check my case but NOTHING happens after that. This has stop me and my family to make future plans and I really hope you guys can help me with this. Is being almost 4 years.

Desired Outcome

Other (requires explanation) I want Bayview to make a correction on the 3 different credit report agencies. Still showing that I've late payments (120 days ) with this company. Thanks

I made a mortgage payment on December 15, 2017 for $1,483.70 via phone like I do al. The money was taken but not applied to my mortgage loan
Ever since Bayview Loan Servicing took over my mortgage from Chase Bank, I've had nothing but issues. I made a double mortgage payment on Dec 15, 2017 for $1,483.70 (I have a confirmation number & bank statement). I pay my mortgage all the time via phone. I have a confirmation number and the money was taken out of my bank account. The money was apparently placed in an account and not applied to my mortgage. When I called to make my Jan payment on January 17th, the system said I was past due 3 months. (Nov-Dec-Jan) I spoke to a representative named *** and she stated she saw my most recent payment (741.85) and that would be applied to my mortgage within 25 hours. She stated my double payment from Dec was sitting in a expense account so she would transfer it to my mortgage account. I informed her that I'm not past due and it's showing I'm still 2 months behind and I'm not. I asked her why it's sitting in an account and not applied to my mortgage. She stated "I don't know". So on my credit it's going to show I'm past due all of these weeks/months even though I made the payment and I'm current. Not to mention how do I know I'm not being charged more interest with it sitting in an account and not being applied to my mortgage right away. I make my mortgage payments via phone every month and get a confirmation number. Why is the money sometimes applied to my mortgage and sometimes sits in an expense account? I requested *** to contact a supervisor because I wanted an explanation and then to adjust this issue immediately since it goes against my credit negatively if it's showing I'm past due even though I made the payment. *** spoke to someone named ***.. I was told that I will have to do the work myself and send in proof and statements in to adjust anything that may have affected my credit. The next day (Jan 18th), I called and my mortgage was still past due since Dec 1st. The payment I made in Jan applied to November but my 2 payments made in Dec still weren't applied. I called again on January 19, 2018. The automated system still said I was 2 months past due even though *** stated on Jan 17th that she would apply the money from the account to my mortgage. I called back and spoke to a representative named *** who stated I was still past due and she would try to transfer the funds to my mortgage again. She escalated the call to a specialist and they told her that it should all be applied and my mortgage should be current by next Wed Jan 24th. So I made a payment Dec 15th and *** stated it should be reflected by my Feb payment. This isn't acceptable. Not to mention, what kind of affect will this have on my credit?
Please note, I had another issue back in Oct 2017 when Bayview sent a letter stating I had an escrow Surplus of $658.25 and I would receive a check in the mail. I called twice in November. I never received that check and they couldn't tell me where the money went or how it would be applied. They wouldn't send me a letter or email confirming where this surplus was going. The representative stated the letter was a mistake and I wouldn't be getting money. So I have no idea where this extra money went. I still have a copy of the letter.

Desired Outcome

I would like a correction made to my credit report for the time that it showed my mortgage being past due between December 15th 2017 thru January 2018. I made two payments and this payment was "held" instead of being applied and reflected on my account negatively. I would like the proof that this correction was done in writing. I would also like to know how can I prevent this from happening again. I make payments over the phone all the time and I want to ensure it's being applied to my mortgage immediately. In addition, I would like a written explanation via email or mail about the $658.25 surplus/check that I never received. If it was applied to my mortgage/escrow/taxes/interest in some way, I want to know how. I was never given an answer on where this money went.

Incorrect information from several customer services representatives and a very rude response from a Supervisor.
I am in Chapter 13. Per the instructions of 2 separate customer service representatives, my attorney (From *** Law Firm) sent a letter stating that they could speak with me and also requesting that statements could be sent to me directly. I spoke with a supervisor who told me "You won't receive statements ever until you are out of bankruptcy." Tell your attorney to take it up with the legal department. I told the supervisor that I was instructed by two different representatives that I could receive statements. The supervisor told me that it "wasn't their policy." I told the supervisor that Bayview should better instruct their customer service representatives in "the policy" so that they don't give out false information to the customers. The supervisor never offered to send me or my attorney a copy of their "policy" and there is no information on line as to how to contact their legal department.

Desired Outcome

I was told by a customer representative (off the record) that Bayview "hates Chapter 13 bankruptcies." That's all well and good, but I would like statements sent to me so I can make payments other than over the phone. I have no way of mailing in a payment and each month I have to call and wait on hold for long periods of time to make the payments. I am paying the mortgage OUTSIDE of the bankruptcy. Bank of America sends me statements for my second mortgage. I do not see why (after a written request from my attorney) that I cannot receive statements on my account. I also requested my tax information for 2017 and was told that the forms would not be sent out until the end of January and that I might not receive it until the middle of February (if at all)(that remark I don't understand). This is prohibiting me from filing my taxes until I receive the statement.

Flood Insurance and possibly hazard insurance added to account and I am still unable to make my payments on line. Inspection fee added to my mort.
Flood insurance added to my mortgage ($2,0002.08). I provided copies of my flood insurance as the letter I received stipulated (fax, email and via the insurance portal). In addition, Bayview had my property "inspected" and added a fee without my knowledge and no one inspected the property he just took a picture of the outside of my outside of my complex. The fee was removed after I called several times and received different answers each time regarding the fee.

Desired Outcome

I want to make sure that my escrow analysis and payment is correct without the flood insurance. I want proof, more than a picture outside of my complex, that my property was inspected. What triggered this "inspection" and why wasn't I notified for access if Bayview really wanted to inspect the property.

In June 2017 Bayview loan servicing FINALLY did a quick deed that I had been trying to get done since 2015 originally with Bank of American. Both of these companies took so long to complete paperwork that I continue to be billed for items that should have been the responsibility of the mortgage company due to me filling bankruptcy and requesting them to do a forclosure or deed in lieu to get the property out of my name. NOW I am still receiving bills due to the lack of timeliness of getting things done.

Desired Outcome

Other (requires explanation) I received a bill from the Ohio Department of Public Utilities in the amount of $88.54. I am expecting Bayview Loan Servicing to pay this bill due to the lack of timeliniess of processing the deed in lieu. I filed bankruptcy on this property November 2015 (was with Bank of America) they sold the loan to Bayview in 2016 sometime and it wasn't until June 2017 that action finally took place. All this time one of these companies should have taken possession of the property as I was not living there. I expect Bayview to pay this bill not me!

I specifically asked on numerous occasions for the died in lieu or forcluse to take place since the loan was transferred over to bayview in January 2017. They took their time and would not process either. I told them my financial situation to get a rush. As for the acknowledge of financial respinsinility, that was not the discussion. The discussion was about upkeep of the property because I can't maintain two properties with a disabled husband and working two jobs to support my family.I don't feel Bayview took the proper steps of follow up to transfer this loan out of our name unless I called and pushed the issued on numerous occasions. If anything Bayview should pay for January to June when the title was changed. This is their issue that it took so long to transfer due to their lack of follow up on the entire situation. Only when I called did someone attempt to do shynfollow up.

Bayview failed to pay taxes to a property I own via my escrow account and now the property is in tax foreclosure.
In early December I was alerted by a new tenant that the property I own had a tax foreclosure notice. I immediately called the servicer, Bayview, and asked why the taxes were not paid. I sent, by request, 6 different faxes that were confirmed received. I was told that they would research and get back to me. No one did. Now I am being told the same thing while the interest and penalties keep going up. Instead of paying the over $4,000 in taxes due they paid a city tax bill 2x.

I do not have confidence in their ability to rectify this. I was told on the phone that it needed to be researched and that they needed to call be back. I advised I didn't want a call back and I wanted to know the tracking number to the payment that needed to be sent. She again stated it needed to be researched and I asked what they have been doing since December 11th when I first notified them of this issue.

Desired Outcome

I have asked that Bayview pay the taxes due per the bill that I sent them on December 11th. Since they hold the escrow account and failed to pay the taxes they were sent I am requesting all interest and penalties be covered by Bayview.

Desired Outcome

I did receive the documents from bayview related to their most recent response to Revdex.com.they are basically still saying my account is past due and have reported it to the credit bureaus as such eventhough their 1st response letter said they werent allowed to report til feb 5th.I did receive 2 calls from *** from their advocacy team and he is still saying that they are still investigating my account and he will contact me with in 1 week with a resolution.this is the same promose made last time and was never followed through with until Revdex.com became involved.AS for the lady that wrote their rebuttal letter seems to be ignoring the fact that my final letter of cure from bankrupcy trustee says all delinquent amounts were paid through the plan as well as the 1 years worth of cancelled checks showing all payments were made.I want this matter resolved but nothing different is happening with bayview.I received an email on 2/4 stating my feb payment was due eventhough the payment was sent on 1/27 and processed on 2/2 as well as january payment was sent on 12/30 and processed on 1/19.I have even sent an extra 100 dollars with feb payment.I suppose all I can do is wait to find out what their investigations shows.they really need to do better especially with all the negative complaints against them.I did finally receive a statement from them for febuary.thanks so much for your support.this matter isnt resolved yet until all records are correct on bayviews side.

Difficulty with creating reasonable payment arrangements after granted a deferment due to hurricane Irma.
Loan account number through Bayview Loan Servicing is XXXXXXXXXX. We were assigned a customer service rep, *** around 10/10/17, after we were granted a deferment due to hurricane Irma. We never received a response from Mr. after several attempts to make contact via phone or email, therefore reasonable payment arrangements could not be made. The letter that we sent, as instructed by Bayview, likewise never warranted a response. The representative who was finally able to make the arrangements on 1/3/18 was knowledgeable, but only offered a scenario in which our loan payment is effectively doubled for the months of February and March. The representative let me know that there are "no excuses" for missed or incomplete payments, and the enormous payment must be made within the prescribed time frame. It is unreasonable to expect a customer to make a payment of this size in the wake of a recognized disaster that caused significant financial impact through extra expenses and lost wages. We requested of the customer service representative on 1/3/18 that the suspended balance of the deferment be spread out over a longer time period, but the request was denied. We do not want to have our credit negatively affected, but Bayview has not given us a reasonable option which will allow us to make our payments and still be able to pay our other monthly bills. Requiring what is in essence a doubling of our monthly mortgage (from $718 to $1344) for two months is neither reasonable or manageable. Bayview advertises on its website that they offer assistance to those affected by Hurricane Irma, and we would like to see the company offer that assistance in a way that is actually helpful and realistic. If Bayview is unwilling to offer additional options that are within our means, or if Bayview chooses to harm our credit in the interim, we will be forced to take action to protect our credit and our resources. We have made every effort to open the dialogue with Bayview and find an amenable solution. From our perspective, it seems that Bayview offers assistance in theory only but is unwilling to provide it in a meaningful way. They have proven unresponsive to the needs of their customers, and in spite of the fact that we have tried to have a line of communication with them, they take an authoritarian stance when they do deem to engage in such communication. Considering that this company took over our mortgage from another company, and we never chose to do business with Bayview, I am going to pursue avenues of recourse against the company if we cannot come to a mutual resolution.

Desired Outcome

1. to have our deferred payments spread over a longer period of time, such as an 8 month period at minimum. 2. or place the amount of the deferred payments on to the end of our mortgage without increasing our total amount owed. Basically extending the payment period for the mortgage by the two deferred months.

Have a home equity loan that was purchased from Citi-Financial, and have been trying for 3 months to get a pay-off amount, to no avail.

Account #XXXXXXX.
Statement say amount left is $166.39.
Loan is not scheduled to be paid off until 2019, but I want it paid in full now.
I don't see how this company can stay in business, with as many complaints as you have.

Have contacted them several times, and they say they will send the necessary paperwork to complete the transaction... Then we get nothing.
Please, is there anything you can do to help?

In the last 3 weeks, I have been given different amounts due for my mortgage. I have yet to get a straight answer from any of their customer/asset rep
I recently entered into a loan modification agreement, following a period of reduced payments, as an encouragement not to just let my house go. My husband passed away and I don't want it. I agreed to the reduced amounts and have complied with their requirements. Now, I've been given so many different amounts that will now be due as my mortgage payment. I have had NO success dealing with any of their representatives and have even been hung up on. Employees refuse to provide any contact information for their supervisors. It is impossible to get to anyone higher up due to their phone screening. I am ready to retain an attorney to review how they are handling this and all their misrepresentations. Even their phone recording gave an amount (almost $300 less a month) that was incorrect. I don't know what to do now. I have been, or so I thought, communicating with a supervisor, *** who has had a different, condescending rep, return my call. I have indicated that I wished to speak with him, as supervisor, and it appears now that he is refusing to communicate with me. How can they keep changing the amounts on me? They also continue to mark me as delinquent every month on my credit reports. I have not missed a single one of their requested payments. My account number is XXXXXXX. The matter has gone downhill fast since November 2017. I am a grown woman and do not appreciate being talked to by their "little girl" reps, who have even laughed at me due to my frustration. *** #XXXXX, in particular. I do hope they listen to their recordings for quality assurance. I've also been denied extension numbers, last names and names, etc., for supervisors. I finally had to tell them who their Resident Agent is. Perhaps contact from my attorney to their Resident Agent might help? However, I do not believe that I should incur attorney fees for information that should be readily given, i.e., the proper amount of my mortgage payment. Statements have come saying I owe as much as $7,000+, and in their phone recording as low as $619. I have also advised them NUMEROUS times of my husband's passing *** and provided on two occasions his death certificate. If they ask me one more time for it, I think I will scream!

Desired Outcome

Contact from someone who knows what they are doing, providing confirmation of the correct mortgage amount payment, as well as removing the delinquent remarks on my credit report, and any other relief that may be available.

These thieves took over my loan from Citi, who I thought were the worst until I met this outfit. I had about 10 months left on my note when Bayview took over. After a few months of making regular payments, all of a sudden they were not applying my funds to the note, but to a "suspense account". No one there could explain this. Meanwhile, my case gets referred to one of their "loss specialists" because the system is showing I haven't made a payment in several months, which I made several. He even tried to make a deal with me where they forgave the last three payments and added those onto the end, making my owed amount ($1000) turn into about $4000. I paid it off at the end of September, but after reading everyone else's experiences with this company, it's obvious that they do this all the time just to steal people's homes from them. Why regulators aren't all up in their shnizzle is beyond me, but they need a 60 minutes episode about these crooks. If you have dealings with these crooks, make sure everything is completely documented (return receipt for mailed payments, keep good track of your bank statements, etc. because chances are you'll need all of this stuff soon to keep your home your own.

When Bayview Loan Servicing, LLC starting serving my mortgage loan (XXXXXXX) they said I needed to provide proof of my flood insurance policy. I provided them the flood insurance policy in *** 2017 by fax, email and uploaded it to their website. Costumer service agents said I was good to go. In Oct 2017 they provided their own flood policy to my house and place an escrow account on my home mortgage. After several attempts to clear this up with them they still fail to correct my account even after I provided the flood insurance policy again by email and fax. My mortgage was due to transfer to another servicing company (Specialized Loan Servicing, LLC) in Nov 2017, so I wanted them to update this before my loan transferred. I called back to the company to make my monthly payment and to make sure this was updated on my account. The costumer service agent stated that they had received my flood insurance policy, but it would not be updated in the system for about two weeks and I still needed to pay my normal payment and the escrow amount. I stated that it was not my fault they added the escrow to my account and I shouldn't have to pay for something I already had and provided to them months ago. The agent stated that my account would be transferred to the new company with this problem and let them take care of it for me. Also when Bayview Loan Servicing, LLC took over my loan from another servicing company the other company transferred an unidentified amount of money they said I needed to pay ($2199.00). I asked them to provided me with what this unidentified amount of money was for because my loan was always up to date. They stated they would get back to me and never did even after calling several time to have this removed from my account.
Account_Number: XXXXXXXXXX

Desired Outcome

Other (requires explanation) I would like Bayview Loan Servicing, LLC to correct my account on my credit report because I went 45 days past due on my loan trying to correct the problem. Also I want them to correct this problem with the new servicing company (Specialized Loan Servicing LLC) because they tranferred my account knowing it was not correct.

Customer Response

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
If Bayview LLC would have updated the flood policy and explained to us what amount we stilled owed we would have paid that amount to them. So, in the end we still have to take a hit on our credit report even after the company failed to provide the outstanding service they said they would when they took over our loan. How is the company held accountable for their actions?? They transferred our account over wrong!

Currently with SLS my account is all messed up. I have called them several times and have talked to different people trying to explain my situation with my account. I don't think Bayview LLC understand the frustration of trying to talk to people over the phone about your issues. Each time you call you must explain the issue all over again and again. Being in the military I don't have the time and energy to stay on the phone. I have to deploy soon and I don't want to leave this with my wife to deal with. So, it would be nice if Bayview LLC would call SLS and expedite the refund to my account!

Bayview LLC also stated that we need to contact the prior servicing company to find out what the unidentified $2199 dollar was far. I don't think this is fair when it comes to good business practice.
