Fair price and fast serviceBF replaced hot water heater elements and thermostatResponded within one hour of call All parts were available on truck

I needed a repair of the water heater that was installed by Ben Franklin in my home several years ago The plumber diagnosed the problem as a faulty thermostat(s) He required my credit card before he could start work I have been a loyal customer for many years Both of my credit cards were declinedThe plumber would not start the repair without an approved credit card I have never failed to pay them in the past Then the plumber refused to leave until I paid him for making the trip to my homeFinally, I applied for a credit line and was approved I then received a call from the high pressure salesman, "we could replace the parts for $but you really ought to replace the water heater FOR ONLY AN ADDITIONAL $ I told the sales manager where he could shove his new water heater I promised never to do business with the company again I said, "FIX THE PARTS AND GO TO HELL" The plumber repaired my water heater When he was waiting on my doorstep for an approved payment, I had a good mind to call the police and have the plumber removed from my home for trespassingDO NOT BUY THE SERVICE CONTRACT! They will come every year and bug you for purchasing a full bathroom remodel They are pests!
And the prices are high

I've had a series of serious water problems in this houseI was new in Glastonbury the first time and was fortunate to have found Benjamin Franklin in the phone book well after midnight! My call was answered immediately and a repairman was on my doorstep first thing in the a.mto address a really huge problemThat was such a traumatic event I don't remember any namesHowever, the most recent plumber, Catalin M*** located the leak and repaired the pipe draining the upstairs bathtubSince then Dave V*** did a routine inspection of the entire house and replaced the valve from the furnaceBoth men were prompt, efficient and courteous

I called one morning with our hot water tank leaking across the basement floor They sent a technician out, in the early afternoon He was polite and pleasant Since I did not want to wet vac every few hours all day and night, he drained our tank, shut off the electricity and water source, connected the house water supply to our furnace (as a temporary fix-hallelujah!) and provided an estimate for a replacement tank, so we could consider the expense involved Overall a great service call

Absolutely first class service provided by James this Monday the 3rdof April He renewed an aging toilet, did a safety check of the house plumbing, and also a water quality checkI appreciated his care in backing up the truck up our rather narrow driveway, and putting on protective footwear for work inside the houseAlso, a clear and informative explanation of the service contract convinced us to take it upEnjoyed having James over- a true professional!

Servicing technician was quick to analyze the cause of the leak with the ice cube water supply line and ruled out a leak in the valve By simply replacing the water line with a better one, the problem was instantly solved His offer to do a plumbing inspection, but was deferred due to my time restrictions on the day of service He was very courteous and friendly

Good experience with this company, they installed a tankless water heater for me, both xxxxx and xxxxx (service techswho did the install) did a great job Would recommend this company to anyone who needs plumbing services

This was an outstanding service from beginning to end Jose the technician was so personable and explained every procedure and the cost before he proceeded with the work
He cleaned up after himself and he worked very hard to get the job done

After being requested to install a water heater, we contracted with *** *** (husband) to do soAfter coordinating the installation, we dispatched our technician to perform the work contracted and paid for by ***It is our policy to charge 1/of the contract at the beginning and the
rest when finishedHowever, in this case our technician processed the entire payment up front which is not policyWithin moments of the technician arriving to his house, *** called saying he had talked to *** his wife who was not happy with the price*** agreed to and she wanted other bidsWe told *** that we would put the work on hold until he obtained the other pricing and we would match exactly any pricing he obtained and then we would proceed with the installation*** agreed and stated he would call back the next morningCommunication then ceased, when it resumed, *** wanted to cancel and demanded a full refundBeing under a legitimate and binding contract and having incurred expenses, we offered to accept 15% instead of enforcing the contract outright.It is our belief that the request for a full refund is unreasonable, especially because we offered to match any competitor price and fulfill the contract fully under an adjusted price with *** and *** stated on the *** *** website, that we bullied herIn fact the negative reviews plastered everywhere by *** are making us feel bullied. The $2,we are refunding is for the full membership and 85% of the water heater charge

To whom it may concern; In response to the complaint with I.D#*** I would like to offer the following explanation regarding the service we provided; I reached out to *** and discussed what services we provided for her mother and the basis for our proposed charges
It seems that there was a misunderstanding as to what we were including in our estimate and exactly what service we performed on the evening of our initial service call *** was not present at the time of our visit and her mother had difficulty conveying to her what our plumber had discussed while on site at her home When our plumber arrived on this particular Saturday evening he was able to correct the leak situation and restore proper water pressure to this area of the home He spent a considerable amount of time at the home with Karen's mother explaining and discussing options regarding upgrades and additions to her plumbing system I explained to *** that we would have included her in all conversations had we been instructed to do so at the time of this service call This was the only visit made to this home as the larger part of the planned job was cancelled by *** within a day of our initial call *** and I talked on the phone today and I do believe that we have cleared up the misunderstanding of what was actually included with our proposal for the upgrades I also offered, and she accepted a refund of $which represents the cost of our repair made which seemed to have leaked after our departure from the home Thank you, Andrew M*** Owner, Benjamin Franklin Plumbing
