Best Price Moving and Storage, Inc. Reviews (216)

The whole process was quick and they really took care to wrap and protect our furniture, all with a pleasant demeanor. Will definitely recommend to friends in the future!

The customer was a assigned to us by a broker company (EZ Moving). We do not know what he was promised or not but we have honored by our contract and serviced this job according to the terms. The customer himself stated that he had a great experience with the crew that picked him up (our employees)....

Although he did call us on 06/22 to provide us with his first available delivery day of 07/01 that doesn't mean that he was actually going to get delivered on the first day of his window. The delivery window given to him was of 2-10 business days starting on his first available delivery day (07/01) therefor he was to be delivered anytime between 07/01 to 07/14. The customer was delivered on 07/03 within 2 days of the beginning of his availability. I would call this a very fast and timely delivery. I believe our company provided him with great service and any other issues that come from was told to him throughout the sales process should be addressed with EZ Moving as we were not involved in that.

Moving in no way is fun but they actually made it ENJOYABLE ! One of my family member's used them and we've used them twice. They always used such good care and lots of packing paper and blankets to protect my furnishings, taking care of everyday dishes to my grandmothers antiques like it was there own. They were so fast & efficient ! The movers were friendly and even laughing along they way, taking the stress out of my day. You can tell they really enjoy their job. The office staff, sales team and movers are very Professional, Knowledgeable and Helpful. Both of my moves as well as my family members move went excellent with no problems, well worth the price. I would HIGHLY recommend them.

We are very sorry for the inconvenience and we are trying to locate the customer's boxes. In case the items are not found we provided the customer with the claim information (www.mymoveclaim.com). We will update the customer as soon as we finalize our search.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. In addition, I have 3 damaged items that are still to be addressed--a shelving unit, a lamp, and a speaker.
Sincerely,
Greg [redacted]

Best Price is the most outstanding and awesome service company my family has ever dealt with! Aside from being totally professional, courteous and reasonably priced, they were such a pleasure to have around! On a rainy day, the crew showed up on time in a cheerful mood, got down to work pronto and took meticulous care of everything: from A to Z. I would never even think of hiring a large corporation for any personal job that needs to be done right. Small and family owned is the place to be. BRAVO, keep up the great work and high spirits! You guys make a real difference in people's lives and you should know you are highly appreciated.

I received the worst service I have ever had from this company. I honestly don't think they care about all the complaints that they receive anyway. This is my entire ordeal of my experience below:
The Sales Rep- Ben [redacted] made false promises. First he told us that the price will not change but it did once they picked up our furniture. Second he guaranteed a moving date and time frame which was nowhere near accurate (we didn't get our furniture until 3 weeks later).
Ok 3 weeks later, we got a call from the driver saying our furniture was here which was around 12:00pm. Good thing it was a weekend so it wasn't that bad. First of all the there was only one delivery person and he came in a semi-truck. Mind you I did tell Ben (Sales rep) earlier on that we stay in an apartment complex so a Semi will be an issue for delivery. So of course the semi was too big and didn't fit. So the driver gave us two options 1: he could get a 15 foot u haul and move everything for an additional $450 or option 2: we can pick up and pay for a u haul ourselves. Of course we picked option 2. Mind you this was all happening in the same day.
Once we returned with the u haul the driver transferred the furniture on to the u haul, it wasn't big enough so we had to put some things in our vehicle and then told us we had to move the furniture into our house by ourselves!!! That was not in the contract or mentioned during the closing of the sale. We were told they will deliver, move and set up everything that we needed. They were very deceitful. They knew the semi wouldn't fit and they only sent one person, so they already knew what was going to happen.
So of course we had to pay the driver to get our furniture. My husband, daughter and I had to do all the moving ourselves. We were very upset! I just had shoulder surgery and wasn't suppose to do any heavy lifting but what were we suppose to do at such a short notice. By the time we were done it was 5:00pm and we were not prepared for our time to be used like this and some appointments that we had had to be reschedule.
Awful company, poor customer service and dishonest, I would NOT recommend them to anyone. AVOID THEM!!!

If the customer has already submitted a claim that means [redacted] has most likely offered them a settlement. Did the customer agree with the settlement?

Yes we have contacted [redacted] and are unhappy with the settlement. We have contacted Best Price Movers many times. They never answer the phone or return my phone called. We don't accept the response because it dose not answer any of our questions . We are asking for $2,000 dollars for the broken tv and the missing furniture. [redacted] Offered less than $200. That is on acceptable
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2014/12/03) */
We apologize for the inconvenience, but [redacted] processes and settles all the claims according to the contractual terms and the damage evidence provided by the customer. If the customer is not satisfied with the settlement offer the next step in the process is arbitration. Please call USMA XXX XXX-XXXX for more information on the requirements.

I have called the number you suggested. They did not answer the phone I left them a message giving them my information three times very clearly and they have not gotten back to me .

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: Only after we contacted Revdex.com did we received a check for only $81.00. This doesn't even cover the cost of the bike replacement.
The 1970 Schwinn Pea Picker was a classic bike that they missed placed and for us to replaced it they start for $300.00 up to $2650.00on EBay.
Also the other damages on the oak floor of our old house, Oak Head Board bed cracked , Chipped Porcelain lamp and Iron board broken frame.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

I researched many moving companies and spoke with some of them, but every time it was something wrong. Some of them were very expensive, another didn't have availability, lots of them seemed as unprofessional at all. I spent more time and found Best Price Moving And Storage. The lady on the phone was very knowledgeable and personalized. She put a very good impression by explaining everything in details and took time to review the prices with me. That was very nice and professional. I decided to go with them. On the moving day, three movers arrived right on time with large truck and their equipment and supplies. The movers were very nice and experienced. They packed all my stuff carefully and then loaded onto the truck. I was especially impressed how easy they handled with bulky and heavy furniture. They were absolutely awesome and skilled. All process was very organized and efficient. I sincerely thank them for making my move so smooth. They truly deserve this recommendation.

We apologize for any of the customer's inconveniences and wish for her to know that although it has been more than 2 months from the delivery, every customer has 9 months from delivery date to start a claim. All our claims are handled by...

[redacted] and the customer can download the claim form by going to www.mymoveclaim.com. The customer will be reimbursed for all damages according to contractual terms.

The Movers that delivered our stuff told us we had 30 days from delivery, but that is not my issue. My Issue Is That We Have Not Received ANY Compensation From Our Claim. That as stated Before we Already sent it in, in the 30 day time frame the movers gave us. (Weather it was correct or not) So to sum up:
-Claim has been submitted
- We have tried to contact regarding the claim and have been ignored
-We are Waiting On Our Payout From Our Claim.

On the website or just through here. I want to reopen the case until I get a check for all the damage

We contacted the customer and apologized for the delay with the payment. She was sent a check that she received right away.

The packed items were received as scheduled on Friday

the 3rd July. As telephonically informed to you the pacers

did a lousy job. Sent few pictures of the scratched items- bed pipe,

mirror broken & on delivery the boxes were just dumped.

At the time of order was told everything would be

unpacked & reassembled but unfortunately NO. Who will

bear the cost of damaged pieces of furniture & mirror.

I was caused not only financial loss but mental agony & torture

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2015/05/18) */
We apologize for the delayed response and we are sorry to hear that some of the customer's items suffered damage in transit. In order to get compensated for any damages the customer is required to file a claim with [redacted]...

by going to www.mymoveclaim.com. All the instructions are on the website. Once the claim is settled we can send the customer a check. As far as the additional charges are concerned, the customer was given a binding quote by the foreman at the time of the pick up. She agreed to all the charges and that is why her items were moved. If a customer has any objections they can stop the move at any time. The extra charges were for packing materials and 131 cubic feet of additional volume.

I have not received any correspondence from them yet.

The customer is not a Best Price customer. He should contact [redacted] the company he contracted with and file a claim for missing and damaged items.
Once a claim is processed he will get compensated for his loss.

[redacted] was the broker, but papers were signed and paid for directly with Best Price. This is a case where both [redacted] and Best Price point fingers at each other. The damage was caused by Best Price and items were lost by Best Price.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2015/01/06) */
The customer has signed [redacted] paperwork and not Best Price. We advise the customer to start a claim with [redacted] because we are not authorized to process his claim. We apologize if this is inconveneient.

Best Price was directly paid for this move and I have a signed contract with them. They are responsible for the damages, losses, and the fraudulent overstatement of the weight.

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 9, 2014/06/03) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Deliveries to ** have a standard delivery window of 21 BUSINESS DAYS from the first available delivery date provided by the customer. This is not in the contract I signed. The customer was delivered within the 21 business days estimated window (which started on his first available delivery date 04/26/14 and not on his pick up date). My stated 1st available delivery date was 4/25/14 as indicated on my contract. We apologize for the inconvenience, as we do our best to have every customer delivered as fast as possible. The customer's items were never hostage and he was charged only for the services provided. Within several days of my house hold goods being picked up I received an email stating I owed $2000 more than was stated in my contract due to the weight being more than the estimate. I requested a copy of the weight to verify the additional cost and that request was denied. I was told I had to pay the additional $2000 or I would not receive my goods. I did not agree to this contract change but paid because as I stated in my original complaint they stated they would hold my goods hostage until I paid. Also, I was charged an additional $800 on the day of delivery because the truck driver told me he could not get his truck to my address and needed a shuttle van. I have several photos I took on May 22, 2014, the day after my delivery of an 18 wheel semi-truck who was dropping off house hold goods to my neighbor Clearly that moving truck driver was capable of getting his truck in and out of the complex. I want the $2000 that was extorted from me since I did not sign or agree to this change and they refused to provide me proof that this charge was valid and the $800 for the shuttle van because it is clear that the driver was able to access my home and refused to do so costing me an additional $800.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 11, 2014/06/13) */
The delivery information is on the back of the contract in section 7. That is where the first delivery date I formation is included. The customer was only charged for the services rendered. We offer to do a re-weight every time a customer is not pleased with the weight of their items. This must be present with the driver when the re-weigh is done. Copies of the weight tickets are available at all times including at the time of delivery when the driver has the tickets with him. We have never refused to provide the customer with proof of any of the charges. He is more than welcome to contact us and obtain a copy of all his documents. Also we would like to see the photos of the semi truck so we may address this issue as well. Please send photos to [redacted]@bpmoving.com.

[redacted] Lines Relocation is a moving broker and ultimately responsible, yes. However, on the Revdex.com complaint I filed in [redacted] on them, they pointed the finger at Best Price.
Best Price was supposed to deliver our furniture within 4-9 days not 22 days. Also, Best Price even failed to pack and move many items from our house in [redacted] to [redacted]
I have a complaint with the Revdex.com of [redacted] on [redacted] and have not had any luck on the problems of price switching (bait and switch) and the conditions they brought our household items to us. Many boxes smashed, furniture damaged, toys destroyed.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 10, 2015/09/11) */
The contract that the customer signed is not with Best Price Moving. According to that contract deliveries are performed within 30 business days from the date the customer is available. Any delivery times given were only estimates and not guaranteed days. We are sorry to hear the customer has damages but unfortunately we cannot help him with that. he must contact [redacted] to start the claim process so he may receive some compensation.

In my career of ten years with my current employer, I have been transferred four times and out of these, I have used the services of Best Price Moving to help me with the move. And honestly, each time, their services have been better than the last one, which is the reason why I have hired them again and again. My last move was 6 months ago, from Chicago to Indiana and this time, the services of Best Price Moving were absolutely exemplary. The representatives of the company were well trained and thorough professionalism was reflected from the quality of their work. From the starting till end, Best Price Moving relieved us from the hassle of the job as every aspect of the move was handled by them to perfection. As soon as I contacted them online, the company sent a team to my place to check out my needs and deadline for the move so that everything could be planned well in time. They were equally good in execution of the plans, with the packers reaching our place well in time on the day of the move. They were equally deft at packing and had everything loaded and delivered as per the schedule. We couldn’t have got a better company for helping out with our move.
