Good afternoon,We have a claim for the sofa and we are willing to give the customer store credit for that piece only.Thank you.

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:I am rejecting this response due to a lack of clarification. I recognize that I signed the table was in good condition but the one leaf wasn't in the table nor was it unpackaged until the other day therefore the leaf wasn't part of the table. Considering I am happy with my table and unhappy with my leaf I am asking for the one new leaf (not repaired leaf). If this cannot be honored at my request for some reason will the business provide some type of monetary compensation to me especially because I am happy with the table and don't want to risk damage to my table for one new leaf.I would also like to add my protection plan as explained to me upon purchase is good for 5 years for any use and for any amount of times in which may be needed. This is not acceptable that I am being told I could only use it one time throughout the 5 years of warranty especially because a leaf came damaged. The plan was purchased for my use for 5 years and not their use.[redacted]  Regards,[redacted]

Hello, Just to review our earlier discussion, Value city will be picking up the table and chairs for a full refund (amount of sale, tax, delivery fee, protection plan, etc.) on Saturday 04/22/2017. You will receive an automated phone call on Friday with your four hour time frame. If for any reason you do not receive this call by six p.m. please do not hesitate to call the Corporate customer Service Department at [redacted] Option * and we can assist you with obtaining that time frame. Also, I was able to discuss your refund with the Accounts Payable Department and they have confirmed that you paid in full with a check and will be refunded via check. Once the merchandise is in the warehouse on Saturday the pick-up's will be finalized and Monday 04/24/2017 the check will be cut and sent out. We will refund the customer $100 the way the paid for the sale when they turn the $100 gift card into the store unused.

I am rejecting this response because:I went to the store today for re-selection of sofa but the sofa I liked is not available in stores and I am not interested in ordering furniture online. I would request a full refund of my purchase price.

I did NOT sign a waiver of stature of limitations on reporting damage. The damage was witnessing as it happened by my management. I deserve some sort of compensation for the damage your driver did that was witnessed as it happened.

I am rejecting this response because:
Good Morning [redacted],   Giving you an up-date, and also copying Value city,   July 24th the sofa was delivered again (3 seats). This time Value City has fixed it (~80%), the part that they did not do a very good job at it, is the comers where the sponge continues to be exposed, therefore the problem will persist and with a bit of use we will be back to the original problem again; just a question of time.   Picture No. 1 and 2 and 3 show the sponge exposed and rubbing into a piece of wood which is part of the sofa infrastructure.  Which was how the problem started last time (my first call to them in Nov. 2014) then the sponge started falling apart (old pictures sent to you and value city where it  shows missing and ripped fabric)   I also purchased at the same time a 2 sitter therefore I went to look at, because we do not have a problem with that one.  Pictures 4 and 5 shows this sofa is well made, the sponge is not exposed and the fabric surrounding the sponge is sawn together as one piece not open (as shown in pictures 1,2 and 3). Therefore, what is rubbing the infrastructure wood is a fabric which slides smoothly not a sponge which falls apart as it rubs into the wood.   What should we do? Send it back AGAIN….., to have them fix it correctly (100%) or in 6 months or a year (that was how long it lasted before), call them again and start the Nightmare again? – Please let me know.   Thank you again, for you to contact Value City because I lost faith after my 6 month of constant tries.

To Whom This May Concern, I was out of the office when [redacted] had reached out to me for her incorrect mattress. It took me a couple of days to get back to her and figure out what went wrong with the redelivery, but I was able to handle her concerns and get the proper mattress in for her. We are still pending the arrival of the [redacted] mattress protector. We will be reaching out to her as soon as we have a firm arrival date for the protector.
