I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
They are not offering anything. They are saying that it is my fault that I didn't know I was automatically enrolled in their subscription service and won't refund anything. The email address I used was an account that I rarely ever use, so I didn't receive the email saying that I was going to be automatically enrolled in a service that I didn't want. Also, I caught on to the unwanted subscription about 1 week into the 2nd month. I emailed them and they cancelled my unwanted account with more than 75% of that month still remaining, but they still said that I was responsible for paying the rest of that month. What kind of customer service makes you pay for 1) a service that you never used once after the trial period and that you didn't want at all and 2) even after you've cancelled with more than 23 days remaining in the month. I've had cable and telephone services prorate my monthly fees to the day, why can't this company function like a decent-minded organization?  Regards,

They had the option to cancel at any time during the 14 day trial period to prevent the auto-renewal and in order to avoid future charges.The cancellation process is very simple: Log in > My Account >> Plan Information >>> Cancel This will confirm that the account was successfully canceled. The customer will continue to have access to all of the features of our website until the next month at which time the access will be limited to the features of our Lite Account or Free Account.To download a digital copy of the resume for free they have the option to choose the TEXT format which will not require them to make any payments. However, all other services require a payment as stated above and according to our Terms of Use. No additional charges will be levied against their credit card as long as the account remains canceled. Should they reactivate the account, the credit card will be charged accordingly.When the customer purchased the account we provided instructions on how to cancel, along with the specific date and time at which the billing cycle would take place. We informed that it needed to be canceled on a timely manner.Card owners have to be responsible and keep track of transactions each month or, contact the company to ensure they have proper documentation of the cancellation before moving forward.We recognize that the account is now cancelled, however, the cancellation came after the billing cycle had already occurred.  It was a trick to sign up this way. It does not tell you when you sign up that you will be automatically charged. It only tells you that you will be charge 1.95 for a 14 day trial period. If you would like to continue to use the service after 30 days you can sign up to pay the 39.95. I did not choose this option. Its not fair and businesses should not be allowed to "trick" people into buying their products. I feel I deserve my money refunded. I used it the first 7 days and assumed that I wouldn't have an issue. It's completely un-ethical. I wish I would have read the reviews online, this is not the first time they have done this to people, and I am sure it will not be the last. However they would like to put their trickery into words, they robbed me of 39.95. I assume that I will never get my hard earned money back, even though I used their website because I lost my job and needed a quick resume reference. So basically not only did they rob me, they robbed me of my last few dollars that I had to basically live on until I could find employment. Even though I explained that to them they have no remorse. I guess criminals never do.

I was under the impression that the program is advertised as a free resume builder and should have been able to create and download a resume for free, I have also received an email telling me that my free trial was almost over and when I asked for an explanation  and there was no clear answer given.. I received and email on July fourth, ten, days after I hadregistered for the program, the email had said my trial period was almost up. Iwas confused so I called customer service about this, this time, I had spokenwith [redacted] who had no record of that email ever being sent his  supervisor, emailed me telling me that the fraud department said the email did not come from them. He did not apologize for theconfusing email, just that Resume Genius never sent the attached email. I trusted Resume Genius  with my personal information and it frightens me to know that someonehas the ability to access that information and potentially use my credit card and other personal information I have entrustedto you.

I understand it was a mistake I made. But I do not see this as a mistake worth $200 dollars. However,  if Resume Genius would look at my account activity they would see I used their services once, and that was during the trial period. I am fine paying the initial trial fee; and if necessary, although unwanted, I would pay the first month. I would like the majority of those payments to be refunded, that would seem to be a perfectly acceptable action from a responsible company.

Revdex.com: The main concern for my complaint is that this online website is not working properly. Original after we used the service on the 9th of May I did in fact cancel my subscription. The website brought me to a different page that had confirmed that my subscription has ended, So in my defense the website must have a bug in its system. The only reason I am complaining about it now is because I saw the charges from this website in my bank statement. Also I did tell the company that they must have a flaw in there online website, They did not care about my concern and told me I needed proof in which I could not provide because the website had failed to send my an e-mail. I would hope that in the future this company be evaluated for any mistakes so that nobody else has to suffer these ridiculous standards of business. On an another note. This site clams to have a 14 day "FREE" trial. In reality they charge your card the moment that you make your first resume. Sounds kind of sketchy when you claim to be 14 day "FREE" and yet they charge you anyway. I understand that there may be a fine print, but when it is advertised this way. It is false advertisement and very unprofessional for any business.

I cancelled the service during the trial period as already indicated. In fact, immediately after printing out my resume that I needed for work the day in question. I have attached a screenshot documenting their deceptive business practice that promises a "free resume builder". After spending considerable time on this resume builder and needing to print it out for work the next day, they refused me access without paying $1.95 with auto subscribe. They are crooks taking advantage of some of the most desperate people in our society: the unemployed.
