However, all other services require a payment as stated above and according to our Terms of Use. No additional charges will be levied against their credit card as long as the account remains canceled. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below As I stated previously, their service was not as promised, their website was extremely hard to use and their support team did not respond to my questions in a timely manner.  The company states in their previous correspondence that they would pull the amount in 14 days which did not happen they waited a MONTH to charge my account. This is breach of the agreement which in the state of Arizona if they breach any portion of the agreement, it is knoll and void!!!  There are multiple customers who have had the same lousy experience with their product as I have. They are not helpful and failed to reply to my correspondence in a timely manner. I voiced to them I did not have a good experience with their product and they just kept telling me they did not care and they would not get me a refund although if you look at the times I logged in, I never had a chance to properly use their service because their website would NOT WORK!!!! If I am unable to use their service why am I being charged for it?!?! They should be taught that you cannot take peoples money and then make it extremely hard for people to log in to cancel, or never answer their phones so you can cancel the service. I am not the only customer who has felt this way and I wish I would have done more research before trusting what their website SAID they would do...

To whom it may concern,              This is clearly a generic response instead of looking over my complaint and giving a response according to my complaint. In my first complaint I specifically stated that I did go in and cancel it right after I made my purchase and I never received a confirmation email saying so because they do not provide and email receipts for purchases either, secondly I never cancelled it myself a representative whom was rude went ahead before I could even say anything and cancelled it so that it could show that I canceled way after I was being charged. What he did was misleading and a violation of my rights.  They keep stating their terms but I am well aware of them and aware I canceled my account but it turns out it really wasn't canceled. They have full control of the website so why wouldn't it cancel when I initially do so??  That is fraud and we can address this in small claims court. I have a witness that I did go in and cancel the account the day I downloaded and paid for the first resume. Therefore I'm willing to prove my case even with ResumeGenius being deceiving fraudulent.

Please note that my sole contention is this: the business cannot truthfully advertise that it is offering a customer a 'free' account but then also require that the 'free account' trigger a regular billing to occur as long as that 'free account' is left open. It does not matter what the business has in its terms and conditions; the offer the business provides the customer is inherently contradictory and facially deceptive.  Something cannot both by free and be something that is not free.  I understand that the business is trying to defend its business policy by saying that the free account is actually free, but that fact that you leave the free account open allows them to charge for a separate service, per a subsequent email they send to you (from a different email address).  My contention is that this is illogical and deceptive and its sole purpose is to mislead customers into not understanding the ongoing charges until after the first billing cycle. If you review the hundreds and hundreds of customer complaints on Yelp, you will see this is a widespread problem.  I stand by my original requested resolution: (1) full refund of all billed 'monthly' costs; (2) cease and desist this deceptive advertising tactic.

 After the trail period was finished, I was never informed that certain amount is being taken out from my account. This appears to be a very small service and the charge 1-2 Euro whatever they charge looks reasonable for creating a "free" (according to the) resume. And, it is not just me who has fallen for this trick of "automatic renewal " subscription. Had I received at least an email that I am being charged, I would have stopped it right away. I am paying silently for a service that I haven't even used for once during all that period.  [redacted] You can see a long list of people who have fallen for this. And these are just one of those people who actually put effort to at least complain and help others. Actually, I came across Revdex.com in this community where everyone has suffered from this issue. Resume Genius probably is well aware that it's customers are facing this issue since there are so many complaints filed against this particular service and still they keep maintaining this service means it is all being done in purpose. I demand full reimbursement of my payment. It is in no way acceptable that I pay for service I did not use. Internet payment has made it so easy to withdraw money from someone's account. Imagine this scenario in real world. It would be a theft! I request Revdex.com to make a thorough inquiry in this matter. If you don't take my word for word, kindly follow the facebook page where you can see a lot of similar complaints.

I dispise companies that hide thier fine print, then pop people with additional charges. I mean really he says after 14 days? thats an odd number. but still this site has taken advantages of people . my research goes back as far as Jan 15th of this year. why in the world would any average person need a month subscription after they have a resume done? This site advertizes resumes for .95 cents. they charged my card .95, then $1.00 then $39.95. I rufuse to back down. too many other than me with the same issue with this company.

 1.If you look at the RG Plans and Pricing the $39.95 subscription is not in Bold font in order to intentionally to trick the customer accept.I think this is a shady business practice.Human decision making process tends to go with the default choice and thats what these guys took advantage of. 2.If RG wants to upsell subscription they have to enforce a condition before payment letting the customer know that they will add him/her to subscription and make it mandatory for the customer to accept before taking payment. 3.I checked the yelp reviews and looks like they have been running this scam for quite sometime now.   please refer:
