These prices changes frequently.

for the new requested dates, however due to the high demand for the Christmas season, the price offered by the airline according to the current availability is higher than what was paid for the original tickets. Please be advised that the airfare prices are outside of our control.

As mentioned, there are rules of the ticket that come into consideration of a travel credit which is why we cannot offer the prices shown for new bookings. These terms were agreed upon at the time of the original booking. 
One again, the credit is valid and can be utilized before the 29th of February 2019.
