As mentioned by one of our Customer Care Representatives, we have investigated and verified the issue. In our end the price ended up going up by 1 500$ since unfortunately prices are never guaranteed until a ticket is issued which is why the...

original tickets with American Airlines
were never issued. A pre authorization was taken for that file and was released since no ticket was issued and reservation cancelled. This created an issue when a new reservation due to the pre-authorization. 
As seen in our terms and condition:"All prices displayed on our website are subject to change at any time without prior notice. Airfare is only guaranteed once the purchase has been completed and the tickets have been issued. Airlines and other travel suppliers may change their prices without notice."
We do apologize for this inconvenience but unfortunately we have no control of the price increase. For this reason, we are not able to offer the refund you are requesting and consider the file closed.

2017, this reservation was nonrefundable.
The only option there was for the amount to be held as future credit of 1,128.30$ valid until October 05,2018. At the time of re-booking Airlines additional fees may apply based on the cost of your new ticket, because your original ticket came with specific airline's rules and restrictions. The fare you are seeing online may not be eligible for purchase based on those rules and restrictions

Complaint:[redacted]I am rejecting this response because: the information they say they received from Heathrow is false.  There was NOT sufficient time to make the connecting flight.  We had 1 hour 15 minutes between flights.  The people behind the counter at Virgin Atlantic said that they do not issue boarding passes less than one hour before an international flight.  There is no way to get from one terminal to the other by bus, then go through security, then make it to the counter within 15 minutes.  Again, this was an international flight.

With all due respect, this company is just ripping off customers. 
 
I have made several attempts to contact a customer service rep to no avail. I spoke on the phone with someone nearly two weeks ago, followed up via email and was told that I would be personally contacted by the same rep. It has been 2.5 weeks and I don't have a response. I have never dealt with such an unprofessional company. 
 
I have submitted all requested documents. Again, this is a refund for something that should have never been charged in the first place.
