Clerical mistake in response: PROMISED CUSTOMER BY MID-NOVEMBER, NOT MID-SEPTEMBER.

resolve this complaint, but there were only two options and the other didn't really apply either. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted]. I have sent a signed letter to the memorial company names in the complaint today via US postal service Express Mail requesting cancellation of my order and full refund of $5,764.00. I have attached it here. (Signed copies went to Gallagher Memorials in Philadelphia and Cartlege Memorials in Upper Darby, PA - both owned by Greg Stefan.

Attached is a copy of the contract customer entered into with our company.  Kindly note that the work order reads:  To [redacted] ADD   1927  (before her name) and 2015 after her name.  There are no other charges or work on the contract, other than cemetery permit...

fee.   No mention is made of work for [redacted] whatsoever.  We are a loss to understand why she thinks there was, or further, her accusations of fraud and [redacted] of the photograph attached which we did not take (it is on [redacted] Cemetery's "Find A Grave" website.   As to the period of 12 weeks, our normal period of completion is 16 to 25 weeks.  I will, however, bring this to our owners' attention and request the dates be added to [redacted].'s name as soon as possible.

I agreed to let the company resolve this issue and again, they have not contacted me. I ordered a headstone for my husband on 12/12/14 and was told that delivery would and installation would be no later than 4/15. When I did not hear from...

the company by this date, I started making phone calls. After numerous attempts and 5 months passing, I finally received a call in October from Greg S[redacted], Sr. explaining that they were having problems with their inscriber and he thought that I was notified. When I told him that I wasn't and made numerous calls without any response, he promised me that this would be taken care of and the headstone would be installed by the end of October. Well the end of October came and went and daily calls were again placed to this company without any response until 11/17 when Greg S[redacted], Sr. again called and asked how I wanted the inscribing done (even though this was done at time of purchase and printed on my receipt) and asked if I could email my pictures to their inscriber Augusto R[redacted]. I emailed the information that evening and he confirmed that it was received. After this I have heard nothing from this company, despite daily messages left. My husband was young when he passed from cancer and did not have any life insurance. I am left with my three children and do not have any money to purchase a new headstone. My children are distraught over the fact that they still do not have a headstone for my husband and I just want some closure for them. I think that I have been very reasonable along with gullible up to this point, but now I want action to be taken against this company, so they do not do this to any other family in mourning. I would like a complete refund along with any interest accrued since this was paid in full on 12/12/14.

We have sent customer a full refund check, and have also cleaned and refurbished the stone at no charge.  A letter of apology accompanied the refund check. A photo of the finished work may also have been included.

I am rejecting this response because:  What are you resolving?  Give me a date of installation and DO IT. Calls from you in the past have been empty promises. I need to see the Headstone in place before Dec 1, 2015. You have had our money since Aug. 2014.

Contract [redacted]Have told our customer we hope to fulfill by med-Sept.

If customer reviews the contract he will note that the end date is 1/15/16.  Although we are past this date, we have had frequent weather delays this January.  We are working to fulfill the order a.s.a.p.

We are told by our cutters that this inscription at [redacted] Cemetery can be completed in the coming week, and certainly before the Thanksgiving holiday.

I am reopening an earlier complaint I filed on this company. After filing the complaint on 10/22/2015, Mr. Greg S[redacted] contacted me and...

the foundation for the stone was laid the week of November 2, 2015. He promised delivery of the stone by Thanksgiving. It is now the beginning of January 2016 and there is no stone. The company has not responded to my calls with an answer as to when the stone will be delivered and set. Below is a restatement of the entire issue: My brother and I purchased a stone for my mother's grave on Sept. 22, 2014 at [redacted] in Lansdowne, PA. This company had been recommended by the sexton at my mother's church/cemetery. We were not aware until signing the contract that the company was actually called LifeStone by Stefan. We ordered a special granite stone that was to be mined in Vermont and wrote a check on that day for $3,8556.00. We were told the stone would be ready in the Spring. First, upon calling in March, we were told the granite quarrying was delayed due to winter weather in Vermont. This was acceptable. I then called every month after to check on the progress of our order. On May 18, 2015, I spoke to Gregg S[redacted] who said he was investing the status. On June 5th, I was told the stone was engraved in Vermont and they expected it to be delivered in July to Philadelphia. I was emailed at that time a photo of what appears to be the finished stone. In July, we were told the truck would deliver it in August. In September, I was assured a delivery date of the week of October 19th with the stone to be placed by Friday, October 23rd. I called several times that week and received no answer. The company had hired an answering service, so you could not speak directly to an employee of the company. In the meantime, I contacted the sexton at [redacted] Church in Southwest Phila. where my mother is buried. He checked his files and discovered the foundation of the stone had not even been done! It was supposed to have been done in May. At this time (10/20/2015) I filed a complaint with the Revdex.com. Within several days of filing the complaint I heard back from the company. Mr. Greg S[redacted], Jr. gave me his cell phone number and promised action. The foundation was laid around November 2nd. Mr Stefan personally assured me that the stone would be released from Vermont and placed around the Thanksgiving holiday. Again, his promise was broken. Again I have called the company numerous times. There has been no call back to me from the staff and no delivery of the stone.Finish the JobThe gravestone should be delivered and set in place at [redacted] Church cemetery in Southwest Philadelphia within two weeks, or I want my money returned.

I am rejecting this because Lifestone has not contacted my
sister nor me.  In early March, Lifestone
replied to our Revdex.com complaint stating “We
have been in touch with our customer (sister of Revdex.com complaintant) who has
agreed to accept delivery to the cemetery by the end of March.  The stone is currently in completion phase of
carved artwork.  Our customer will
confirm this to complainant.”
Lifestone did not deliver the stone to the cemetery
by the end of March.  The company has not
been in touch with my sister since the beginning of March despite her attempt
to contact them.
On April 8, in response to this Revdex.com complaint, the message
from the business was stating “We will
be responding to our customer, not her sister.” 
It is now April 13 and Lifestone has not been in touch with my
sister.

Refund was approved 11/24.  Consumer should receive it soon if she has not already received it.
