I ordered front brake rotors for my truck from buyautoparts.com because they had the lowest price I could find. I was confused by the picture and description on your website so I called the sales dept before placing the order to determine exactly the part number I needed because the picture was a generic picture and looked like rotors for the4WD model and not the whole hub assy for the 2WD model. There is a big difference on the 2WD F150 and the 4WD F150 Front rotors. He assured me that the part was correct so I place the order with him over the phone.
When I received the order confirmation email I notice that the item description called out the 4WD model but the "kit" part number indicated 2WD. So I called customer service and AGAIN they assured me that the item description and picture were wrong but I would get the correct part. What I received was in fact the WRONG rotors for the 4WD model and not the 2WD model. After a 45 minute phone call and waiting over an hour for the rep to "call me back in 5 minutes" the right part number was found. They would not ship out the replacement parts until I had paid for them first. I have limited funds and everything I had for this repair was already tied up in the WRONG parts. I will be shipping them back for a full refund (I cannot trust this company to send the correct part anymore) and will never buy any part from this company again. Only time will tell if I get a prompt refund.....
Buyautoparts.com proudly declares that they have painstakingly cataloged, photographed, and created videos for over 10,000 items over the last 25 years…. And a Guaranteed Exact Fit .....I guess doesn’t cover the best selling pickup truck of all time on something as simple and common as brake parts.

The customer contacted our business on October 22nd, 2014. At that point, we came to a resolution and took care of the customer.

This company is a scam. They operate as a marketing company with names like CarsteeringWarehouse, BuyAutoparts and others. They use bait and switch tactics. They take orders for performance products at a premium price and ship re-manufactured junk without notification of the switch. When contacted they make up different stories each time you call to cover the lies. Example product was out of stock so we shipped re-manufactured part 1. did not notify me 2. charged for performance part at 3 x the price. The performance part is still advertised on several sites including Ebay saying in stock, 10 available. BUYER BWARE!

I was never told about their return policy. I spoke to their Rep on the phone when I was interested in that part. The Rep clearly stated that it would be an exact fit and that if there was a problem that they would take care of it. if I knew that I would have
been responsible for shipping charges that FOR THEIR DEFECTIVE PRODUCT NOT FITTING MY CAR ... I WOULD HAVE NEVER ORDERED IT.  The representative is misleading and never told me that I would have to PAY FOR SHIPPING FOR THEIR DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS nor did he state anything about restocking fees at all!!! Attached is the picture of the product and you can clearly see that the connectors are different. The one on the left is my original part and the one to the right is their part that DOES NOT FIT.  I should not be held responsible for shipping back their product that is defective. They should be responsible for shipping since they sent me the DEFECTIVE PRODUCT.

As previously stated, we have completed all refunds for the customer. The total refund of $500.92 is the complete amount owed. I do not believe the customer is calculating the discounts he received. On invoice [redacted], he received a -$20 discount and actually paid $263 + 200 core, totaling $463. As per our discussion with the customer, this was a FULL REFUND for the rack and pinion. The customer then returned the correct Oxygen sensor for invoice [redacted], where he received a kit discount of -$10 and paid $37.92 for the part. When this refund was issued, it fell under our NORMAL REFUND POLICY (15% restocking fee + cost of shipping). A complete refund of $20.23 was issued after accrued fees ($5.69 restocking fee and $12 shipping charge). On 4/8/2016, you spoke to a manager who agreed to refund the additional $17.69 to satisfy your request. This would total the $37.92 paid for the part. All refunds have been completed.

The customer purchased said part and called in on 9/5/14 claiming it was defective. At that time, we agreed to warranty the part out and send him a new one. The customer informed the representative he would prefer store credit to purchase another item. We agreed to do so, and issued a store credit...

to his account on the same day. He then called back on the 9/10/14 requesting a refund. Per our policy, we do not issue refunds on installed parts. We have agreed to either warranty the part or apply his store credit to a new purchase.

The incorrect part was order from the start. When you called on 7/14/16, we confirmed this and found you the correct part. You then agreed to use credit from the wrong parts toward the new order. Once the parts were returned, you changed your mind and just wanted a refunded. Since the parts were ordered incorrectly and you chose not to purchase the correct ones from us, a normal refund was applied (15% restocking fee + loss of original shipping).
 
As stated, we have issued a refund within our policy measures.

I spoke with a very rude salesman, who has arguing with me about the part I was willing to buy - a turbocharger. the company's pictures are 'generic'. the salesman saw something different that I saw on their website. besides, he, as a 'professional' was not able to explain something and became angry. finally he said to me: 'you don't have to purchase a part'.

Thank you very much for following up this case. Sorry for the late response; I just found your e-mail lying in my junk folder.
1) The policy being referred to that the international customers will have to ship back the defected part on their own is not listed on BuyAutoParts.com or, at least, was not there when I last asked BuyAutoParts.com to tell me where it is mentioned.
2) If I have to ship the item back, what is the use of the guarantee? The new item is cheaper than the shipment cost anyway.
I believe BuyAutoParts should apologise for sending the defected part and all the extra costs and inconvenience occurred to me due to that. In addition, I would request them to refund the money and please state it explicitly in their policy that the customers are responsible for shipping the faulty item back in case of international buyers.

They are polite, but lack the professionalism that they claim. I bought a part. It was the wrong part. So they request a deposit or long wait to get the new part. Ok, I comply. Second part, still the wrong part, even though I gave them all the information they requested to get the right part. So I contacted them and at this point it becomes a joke. (Send me a photo of the part, give me the information again, acknowledging their mistake without resolution, I called several times stating I wanted my money back or the correct part, last call I was told I was issued a refund (I have to wait for because they do not have their part back yet, but no one called me to say anything). My issue was swept under the rug like someone hiding the dust in a room and this situation cost me time and money. Their attitude was oh well, sorry, have a nice day. I will never shop with them again.!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I feel violated and robbed by this company.
I bought an AC compressor from their Ebay store that was delivered and did not fit my car. I called and requested to replace for the correct part and was told that it would be a $100 more which I refused and decided to return the part, they issued a return email and I shipped and paid $36.00 for shipping.

The part was delivered on 8/24/2016 and today 9/7/2016 and after poking them with a couple of email they started a refund MINUS %15 restocking fee !!! $43.00 on top of the $36.00 shipping charges !!!

Someone needs to call this company's dealings out as a broad day light thievery, a restocking fee for the wrong part shipped? if I paid another $100.00 then they would not have charged me restocking fee... this is robbery.
