My son bought a part for his Audi from BuyAutoParts.com on June 23rd for $845. I gave him my credit card to pay for the transaction. When he spoke with the representative, he asked if the part could be returned if it wasn't the right one, and the representative said yes. It turned out that it was the wrong part, and when he called the company they then said there would be a restocking fee and shipping fee that would be held from his refund, and therefore we would be getting back only $703.30 instead of the original $845. My son was not told of any of this when he first asked if he could return the part if it wasn't the right one. They just said yes he could return it, not with any stipulations. I would never have allowed him to use my credit card or do business with this company if we knew about this. Please help us get back the difference. Thank you.

The response from BAP
is the same as they sent the last time; I have already responded to that in my
previous letter. I am attaching an authorised workshop's diagnosis clearly
stating that the compressor I received was defected. It also states the
cost of searching the fault with the compressor: Nok  7639 = $1163. In addition to that, I am
attaching the receipt and customs declaration from BAP followed by the customs
duty I had to pay (Nok 799 = $121). With these facts, I would once again request BAP to:
1) Refund the compressor cost
2) Revise their policy, explicitly stating that the company takes no responsibility for the return shipment if it internationally ships a defected part

this is absolutely incorrect and unacceptable. I telephoned your company to be assured that I was ordering the proper parts, and I spoke to [redacted] via live chat who also assured me that I was ordering the correct parts for my vehicle. On top of that, somehow, someway the initial order was placed for two sets of headlights and one of your representatives telephoned me before shipping them out to verify the quantity of the order, and again, at that time, he and I confirmed my order being correct for my vehicle with me providing the VIN number. I'm happy to provide the VIN number again today, as well as the live chat print out with [redacted] who assured me that the return shipping cost and everything would be refunded since the parts did not fit my vehicle correctly. I've been accused of installing the parts to my vehicle, which I did not. I spoke to a supervisor named [redacted], who I was later told there is no [redacted] working there. I left countless voicemails for your company because I could not get a hold of a live human being on multiple calls and was never phoned back. I'm asking for nothing more than what is promised on the website, return the items if they do not fit correctly and you would be paying for shipping in both directions. I will not be satisfied until that is done, as I have done everything in my power to follow the guidelines of your advertisement.as per the last response through the Revdex.com you accused me of ordering HID headlights, which I did not. Now you're accusing me of ordering the wrong parts, which I did not. I'm permitting my VIN number to be disclosed for you and your company to match with the parts that you sent me and received in return to confirm that they would be the correct parts for my vehicle. that should put a closed any question of any wrongdoing on my part.

Bait and switch tactics with their parts. Advertised an OEM KYB strut with KYB model # in the description but sent me an off brand strut and then offered to waive the restock fee but required me to pay $24 shipping to return their off brand struts. Advised they could sell me the genuine KYB strut I wanted but it was much more money.

Our position has not changed. We do not issued refund on installed parts.
We have issued the store credit per the agreement made on 9/5/14. You have $75.60 in store credit to apply to any future purchase.

Bottom line up front; Unprofessional customer service, and questionable as a reputable business!
I called buyautoparts to inquire about a part I was looking for as I had found the part on two different sites; 'Buyautoparts.com'and [redacted]', and wanted to call each company before I made a decision. While on the phone with the buyautoparts salesperson, he was unable to provide me any specific details as to the quality of materials used in the rebuild and that was ok. I then called [redacted] and the sales person picked up. I explained to him what I was looking for and he transferred me. When I was transferred, the automated messaging said buyautoparts; I thought I accidentally called buyautoparts again, so I recalled [redacted].
When I called back, I asked the salesperson to explain, how I am being transferred to another company; I did not tell him I was just on the phone with buyautoparts. He was very evasive as to why they have two companies under the same umbrella. I also asked why was I being transferred. He said because one company handles steering and the other handles other stuff. I said to him, "you don't understand, I am calling about a steering issue so why would I be transferred". Dumbfounded at this point and unable to provide me an answer, he intentionally hung up the phone.
I called back and another representative picked up the phone. He provided me an answer, but he was very irritated by my questions. He also tried to tell me that ,"the fact that there were two companies was a mute point". I expressed to him that this is quite the contrary. He said that the company had been around for 30 years, but the '[redacted]' website says 15... little things like this caused me to ask more questions.
And here is why this is NOT a "mute point"... I have been burned for a few grand by another company by not asking the hard questions, before hand, when things do not add up... After discovering that the two companies are actually the same though neither makes reference to the other on either website, my end state was to determine whether or not this is a reputable company worth trusting and conducting business with; I do not! Additionally, poor customer service before or during a sale, is indicative of the [redacted] pain it will be after they have your money and things that are under warranty start to fail.

The customer ordered the incorrect parts via our website. We had no contact with him prior to placing the order. Per policy, there is a 15% restocking fee and loss of original shipping on any returned item. The customer chose to return the parts, thus the restocking + shipping fee were charged. We have completed all refunds at this time.

I stated to the representative that the parts did not match and it would cost me 500 in labor to because that was the cost for the Mechanic to pull the part to compare or match up the parts, and the mechanic evening call the Shock manufacture for install instruction is how they found out that the parts was not OEM, but after mark. evening if I return the parts, I will be out of 500 dollars and it would cost me additional 500 plus in labor to install OEM parts. My old shocks was no good to put back on the truck.  This matter is not resolved. What is my legal right and what legal action can I use to get this resolved, because I am not going to pay combine total of 1000 to get the OEM parts put on. The company need to take ownership of this issue and resolve it.Regards,[redacted]

They sent the wrong part, but the part number is correct, is what they are telling me. I had to send them pictures so they can look at the old part and compare it to the new part. Then had to call dealer and get part number from them so they can check to see if they have correct info. All this took Hours from my day, then they said they will ship the new part out again, but it will take another week, while my car is apart, so now I have to rent a car so I can get to work. I will Never Buy from them Again

y lo primero que paso que el carro seguia  Igual/  pregunta quien me va a pagar el tiempo perdido todavia  de  yevarlo  al diler nissan/  porque  mejor me  regresan  mi dinero / y antes de vender sus partes porque primero   expliquenles la verdad  [redacted] de que  uno   las compre    asi ya  sabe  uno a lo que  se esta arriesgando/  nimodo que el  dueno vaya a quedar pobre por 76 dolares
