We signed up for Internet with WOW They offered a two-year promotion of $for basic internet Our first bill showed the following: WOW! Service: $ Internet Discount for months: -$ Total WOW! Services and Bundles: $ It seemed very straightforward A year later, I notice that instead of the usual $auto-draft for our WOW bill, a $charge had appeared I called WOW to report the error, and was told that our price had gone up I explained that I had in writing that we signed up for $for two years He referred me to our latest bill, which showed the following: WOW! Service: $ Internet Discount for months: -$ Months 1-@ $discount Months 13-@$discount Total WOW! Services and Bundles: $ I was incredulous as I tried to explain to the customer service representative that we signed up for one price and are now paying another He firmly told me that what we had signed up for was not a contract I said that consumers make purchase decisions based on listed prices, and WOW had simply lied about the price to me He was very quiet for a moment, then was gone for a few minutes speaking to a supervisor, and when he came back they credited $back to me and told me that I would be paying the ORIGINALLY AGREED $for the rest of the months Unbelievable! Don't let companies get away with this nonsense!

I saw WOW prices on their website and they are reasonable, much less than TWCBUT The prices shown are not the real pricesI had a lot of questions, based on my experience with TWC, but the rep I was talking with kept insisting that I allow him to create a "package" to meet my requirements so he could lock in a price (not the same as on their website) and set up a tentative install dateI never got answers to my questions, and after about times of his insisting that I allow him to lock in a price, I told him I was p [redacted] o*ed and didn't want to continueNow, after having read all these reviews, even TWC seems like a breath of fresh air by comparisonVery disappoingint!

Since service started in with WOW, I have had sporadic service issues with Wow cable & TV (3) technicians came at different times to replace set boxes with the third visit by a master tech to found that the service had been hooked up incorrectly by the techs I was told at each visit I was not to be charged for the corrections but yet was charged $anyway I called the "customer service" in both Nicaragua & Colorado Springs, but was told there was no way they could refund my money or give me credit for the mishookups that I've been experiencing since I started business with WOW

I agreed to get WOW cable based on the channels they offered, but now they have discontinued the only Alabama new station [redacted] in Montgomery and said that the Georgia station was the same, it isn't I have to change cable companies now because they won't let me out of the so called contract I have contacted executives with no compensation We have watched Alabama news for years at and pm We signed up the cable based on the listing of channels including *** in Montgomery Now they have discontinued that and I should not be liable since they are not fulfilling what was promised thanks

[Submitting on January 16, 2018] Because the field technicians are skilled and polite, and the customer service phone interactions are pleasant and professional, I felt I could not rate the company, overall, lower than two stars However, our total customer experience with WOW! hasn't wowed us We just had another technician visit yesterday (which I was able to schedule on an off day for myself, so didn't require rearranging my work schedule) and, against past experience, the technicians BOTH called ahead AND arrived near the very beginning of the service appointment window They resolved the call by replacing a cheap and unreliable media player with another cheap and unreliable media player I'm sure they'll need to be called again, soon After submitting the below (excerpted text) in a letter, I never heard back from WOW!: September 16, Dear WOW Customer Service, I am writing to complain about fraudulent charges, which have now appeared twice on our bill in the past six months Please reference the attached statements from the months of April and September, each of which show a $fee, assessed for “missed appointments.” Anytime someone attempts to pull $out of my wallet, I regard that as theft Each fraudulent charge has time correlation with an actual visit by a service technician, to perform actual services, to resolve actual technical issues While we have been consistently impressed with the quality of the service provided by your field technicians, there seems to be a systemic problem in your accounting for these visits While we have often had to alter our work schedules to meet your service technicians, and we usually find that they don’t arrive until the very end of the advertised window of time, we have never missed an appointment with WOW technicians -– nor any other service technician we’ve requested visit our home Today, I resolved the latest instance on the phone with Shannon (refcase #53014432), after waiting about twenty minutes on hold Shannon was very polite, professional, and even apologetic After reviewing some records, she agreed that a technician had visited on August 14th, and she removed the charge Months ago, I had performed a similar exercise for the earlier instance While it is frustrating that we must spend our free time to have fraudulent charges reversed, your customer service staff are always pleasant on the phone I request that you respond to me, by letter, to let me know what your company is going to do to ensure this sort of error doesn’t occur to us – or anyone else – in the future

Please not they are less than one star, but the site will not let you submit with at least a starI am one who does not normally take the time to write any comments and/or reviews, because I believe companies should know if their service is good or bad It is not the customer’s responsibility for them to know that However, the WOW Cable service that I received on January 22, has me so appalled I just can’t help but to right a review It is different when you don’t receive good service such as; a long delays when you call, or lack of response, and even some billing errors When a company insults your intelligence and belittle your understanding of the English language that’s taking things too far I have included their advertisement in my review I noticed that they were offering a significantly lower rate for Internet service for new customer than for existing customer The rate they are offering new customers is $39,dollars a month for a month contract and commitmentThey are trying to convince new customer that they are getting a bargain by comparing the rates of $a month versus $per month for Mbsp Internet service I know this is a tactic to increase business and usually the lower rate, or incentive is tied to some greater responsibility on new customers than existing customers As outlined in red their ad stated “$per month for months and requires a 2-yr service plan agreementAfter months, rate increases to regular rate (currently $per month)Pricing subject to change.” I noticed what they were advertising as the regular current rate was significantly lower than what I was paying; I am paying $for 30Mbsp In addition the level of service I was receiving ( Internet speed) was about a third of what they were advertising as the regular current monthly rate I called customer service and asked who was receiving and paying the regular current monthly rate of $ Because assuredly a loyal and faithful customer as myself could receive that rate That’s when the jostling and back and forth began The first customer service representative, Levert tired to convince me that the $was only for new customers I agreed with him that the month commitment was for new customer, but you stated in your add that their was a regular current rate of $ He continued to just read off a script never once addressing the issue that a current customer who had been with the company for over years could not get a straight answer about who was paying the as printed regular current monthly rate He then transferred me to someone else, her name was Leslie Once again she began to read off a script, even at one time she tried to up sell me by offering me a higher Internet speed (not even the Mbsp, but Mbsp) for more than I was currently paying, and trying to convince me that that was a bargain when clearly they were advertising that they have a rate structure that exist which is far lower, almost $lower The rate they are trying to convince new customer is currently $per monthly for Mbsp Why would you advertise a rate structure when clearly existing customer would learn about this As Leslie continued to try and convince me that I was reading things all wrong and that I didn’t understand what currently meant She continued stating that the current monthly rate that new customers would be paying without the month commitment would be $a month after their months were over I said okay if that is the case why is that not mentioned in the ad The ad clearly stated that rate was the current monthly rate, I have always thought current meant now Webster defines currently as “the present time”, which I believe means now She continued to state that I did not understand the offer was for new customer Again I continued to state I did not question the new customer part, but I am questioning what you have printed as a current monthly rate Then the discussion turned to the meaning of currently, that’s when I had enough Leslie went on and on often interrupting me before I had completed my sentence, and as human nature goes this only leads to an escalation of volume The final straw was when Leslie accused mean of yelling at her and what she was not going to tolerate, so I hung up I guess WOW never heard that the customer is right, and accusing customers, questioning their intelligence and out right demeaning them is excellent customer service When it really came down to it we were talking about a $difference in price A price that they had clearly advertised as an existing price So I guess WOW would go to all of that length to demean, insult, and berate a customer for $ I can’t imagine what they would do if there was more money involved I clearly see how WOW values their existing and loyal customers By, By WOW and yes I will be telling everyone about the SUPERB customer service I received (NOT)I have since read other negative reviews so I guess this is par for the course, business as usual I am happy that we now have so many more choices such as; other cable companies and even cell phones with hotspots with unlimited data If cable companies such as WOW doesn’t get their act together they will go the way of the VHS tapes, irrelevant and obsoleteVERY, VERY, Agitated and Perturbed

In July I contacted our local (Ohio) underground utilities identification service and had all the utilities marked (per law) prior to installing a fence An unmarked cable was cut during the digging I immediately contacted the underground utilities identification service (O.U.P.S.) and filed a notice of cutting an unmarked cable O.U.P.S came out to the property and confirmed that a cable was not marked and was cut All utility & cable companies were contacted (including Wide Open West) about he cut line Wide Open West did not respond to the notification In July 2018, Wide Open West installs a above-ground (temporary) cable on my property and sends a bill for $3,stating that I am responsible for the cut cable line I followed all state laws and it was confirmed the cable that was cut was NOT marked prior to digging Wide Open West has refused to discuss this matter and has ignored the letters I sent to resolve the issue
