CardCash.com Reviews (291)

Review: I purchased a [redacted] electronic giftcard from Cardcash.com in the amount of $304.91 on March 24, 2015. The gift card arrived electronically in my email account the same day. I traveled to the retail location and was told that the gift card had a $0 balance. The retail store attempted to call Cardcash.com but the company was closed. I have called Cardcash.com four times to attempt to get both an explanation of what happened and a refund for the card. Each time I have documented the associates name and the date of the conversation. On March 31 I spoke with "[redacted]" and was informed that the "claim" would be escalated and dealt with ASAP and I should hear from someone at the company within 3 business days. No one ever called me. On April 6 I called again and spoke with "[redacted]." [redacted] told me that there was "no record of my call to on March 31." She said she would process the claim again and expedite the processing. She said I would hear from the company within 5 business days. No one ever called. I have now alerted my bank as well as [redacted].com about the issue. I am very upset about the negligent business practices Cardcash.com has demonstrated to date.Desired Settlement: I must have a full refund ASAP. I do not want to spend another hour on the phone with Cardcash.com. They do not deserve to be in business at all if this is how they handle things. Shame on them.

I apologize for the delay. The refund was processed on 4/14.

Review: We purchased $5,000 worth of gift cards and they gave us a 100% guarantee on the transaction and had a confirmation number and everything. 2 weeks later when we hadn't received our cards I tried calling customer service and after waiting to talk to someone for 30 minutes I finally talked with an agent who informed me my order had been cancelled for no known reason and that they would be refunding me our money. I told them I didn't want refunded I wanted the gift cards and she told me she would have a manager call me that day. I never heard from the manager and tried calling back 2 more times in which their phones would ring over and over and eventually hang up on me. I emailed customer service and they emailed me back 24 hours later claiming someone would call me but still 5 days later no body has called me regarding this issue. Meanwhile they have had our $5,000 for over 2 weeks and still haven't given us giftcards or a refund either one. I'm not ok with just a refund. I want resolution and I want the discounted giftcards and some type of compensation for their errors. We have had to spend extra money on items because we didn't have these gift cards as we had planned to have. Therefore due to their error we are out extra money. And we still haven't received our large amount of money back from them. You absolutely can't operate a business this way. If they did t have the gift cards in the mail they shouldn't have taken our money to begin with. And if they guarantee transactions they shouldn't be able to cancel our order for no reason and with no communication to us.Desired Settlement: Delivery of giftcards at the agreed upon discount plus an extra percentage off for the extra time and money we've lost due to this issue.

Hi, My apologies for the inconvenience this has caused you. At the time that the order was placed there was a glitch in our system and unfortunately it was a glitch order with no actual cards. Since we already captured your payment we had a refund issued right away. As I spoke with our customer service manager in regards to not be available to talk. Again, my apologies.

Terrible service! Bad or purposely wrong information! Total lies about turn around time which states 1 to 2 business days when turn around time is more like 2 to 3 business weeks if you are lucky. Do not use this company - I have read numerous reviews and what they are saying is true. Its a scam Hopefully they will be shut down soon Stay away

I purchased a $100 gift card and never received it. The company responded to me that they had sent it to an old address they had on file for me. The problem with this is that I have not lived at this address for over 15 years, and this is not the address I gave them when I purchased the order. After two months they have failed to make any effort whatsoever to resolve this issue and instead have told me to go to the old house and ask the people there if they received it.

This website will scam you out of your own money. I bought a gift card in June but didn't decide to use it until December. Before I used it, I checked the balance and saw that someone else had taken the money out of it. I emailed Card Cash about this, and they said that they do not guarantee cards after 45 days from purchase. They said that they were not supposed to give me a refund, but gave me "consolation" by giving me credit to purchase more gift cards. I told them that I did not trust their website any longer and that's why I wanted my money refunded. They wouldn't listen and so I had to just submit into taking store credit. So, I used it to buy more gift cards, and once again they scammed me. One of the gift cards I bought was supposed to have a $20 balance, but when I checked, it only had $11.64. THIS IS A HORRIBLE COMPANY. One, they hold the power of reselling your gift card, YOUR own money, only after a 45 day guarantee and blame it on the "secondary markets." Two, they have no accountability towards the balance on the gift cards you're buying. So buyers beware, if you do use this website (and I hope you don't), check your balances, make sure the amount you paid for is there, and continually make sure that they don't steal your money.

Review: Very simply, the site www.cardcash.com proports to exchange gift cards, order #[redacted]. We mailed the gift cards certified mail to ensure they were received. They were. We were told that we would receive our exchange in 2-3 days after reception. That was 11 days ago. I've emailed with no response. I've been on hold two times for more than an hour each time.Desired Settlement: I just want the service that was offered to me. We would like the promised, $120.12 in an amazon gift card.

Review: I sent them a $125 [redacted] gift card. I was sent a confirmation that they received it and would buying the card for $81.00. I have contacted them numerous times...they finally responded and said the order was cancelled. I was told (after many more emails after not receiving anything else) that they would send back the card. They have not sent back the card...any money....and have not responded to any of my emails.Desired Settlement: Either send me the money for the card or return the gift card.

Review: I initially attempted to sell a United Airlines e-certificate through ABC Giftcards. Unsure about how I could send an e-certificate, I emailed Abc Gift Cards and was told that they would change my order so that rather than being paid by check, the payment would be deposited into my PayPal account, as is required of sales of electronic gift certificates. After giving the ABC Gift Cards representative my PayPal information, I had assumed that payment would be deposited within a day or two, as their website stipulates. Instead, the order status still says "Pending." After not receiving payment, I tried to sell the gift certificate to CardCash. It seems that CardCash has accepted the card, although the order status says "Verifying." This would not be so worrisome if I had not received an email saying that I would receive my payment within a day. I get the sneaking suspicion that ABC Giftcards/CardCash has no intention of paying me. I also worried, as ABC Giftcards/CardCash now has access not only to my e-mail address and Paypal accounts, but also has a record of the United Airlines e-certificate code.Desired Settlement: I want this company, either ABC Giftcards or CardCash, to deposit the previously agreed-upon amount of money owed to me from this sale into my Paypal account.

Response:

Hi,

We were alerted to a possible issue with the card when verifying the balance on the card and had to cancel the transaction.

If the customer would like us to try again we can. The full balance is still on the United voucher.

Review: I sold Macys gift cards to this vendor. They told me one of my card is $0 balance, but I am pretty sure that there's $500 balance. [This is because since the day one I got it from Macys, this card's laying in my drawer until I mailed it to ABCgiftcards. And I do keep the original receipt issued by Macys.] Within the same day, I asked them to mail it back w/ the original receipt, so I could go to Macys to check myself. However, they just ignore my voice messages & emails. It's been awhile, and I don't know what do... No gift card/original receipt in my mailbox and I really want it back...Desired Settlement: mail me back with the Macys Gift Card & Its Original Receipt otherwise, I request to have the compensation instead (face value is $500 and the pay amount is $420)

Business

Response:

Hi,

The customer received the Macy's card as per an email we received. However, we shred all of our paperwork, original receipt included.

I'm not sure why the customer would need the receipt. The card had no balance when we received it so it must have been used by the customer who tried to sell us a useless card.

Review: CardCash has been unresponsive and impossible to contact concerning my sell order.Desired Settlement: Immediate compensation for mailed gift cards as agreed, or immediate return of my cards.
