Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
I'm not satisfied that the business waited until I had an issue with advertising to state that my degree program was not included in the risk free periodI was just singed up for a class prior to all of my transcripts arriving to the schoolI don't think I will ever recommend them to anyone I know just because of their business practices.
Regards,

Dear Ms***: This letter is in response to the complaint you filed with the Revdex.com (Revdex.com) concerning your student account with the University of PhoenixIn review of University records, found you enrolled May in the Bachelor of Science in Business degree program with the
University of PhoenixYou selected Financial Aid Plan as your primary payment optionThe University was unable to facilitate certification of your Title IV loan request due to an incomplete applicationYour financial aid application was selected for verification by the Department of EducationAs such, the University was obligated to collect additional materials to include the verification worksheet, a copy of the applicable year federal income tax return, a statement regarding child support paidWhen all the required documents were not received, the processing center was unable to review your applicationAdditionally, you were close to reaching your aggregate loan limitsAs a result, no loans and/or grants were disbursed to your account to assist with the resolution of your institutional charges accrued in your ACC/courseYou elected to officially withdraw from the University on June 13, The prorated cost of tuition and fees for your attendance in ACC/totaled $Tuition and fees were calculated in accordance with the attendance and finance policies detailed in the University Catalog available on the student websiteYou remitted payments totaling $between May 26, and June 12, As a result, your account reflects a credit balance of $16.35, which will be released to youWe appreciate you taking the time to address your concernsAfter completing a thorough review of your account, we do not find there was a discrepancy in your institutional charges accrued for your attendance in ACC/You were charged a prorated amount in this course for one week of attendance totaling $and the resource fee of $To have a zero cost for this course it would require you meet no weeks of attendanceRecords indicate that your finance representative explained this information to you via phone on June 14, Please note resource fees are mandatory and encompass course electronic textbooks and materials, the University library, eBook collection, math labs, programming software, the Centers for Math and Writing Excellence, and Phoenix Career ServicesPer the Academic Catalog on your student web page under “Student Financial Responsibilities, Policies and Options”, you will find the policy for Electronic Course Materials and Books Fees, namely: Electronic Course Materials and Books Fees Electronic course materials and books for each course must be paid at the time they are ordered or in accordance with a student's stated payment optionElectronic course materials fees are nonrefundable, unless prohibited by lawA student who drops a course will be granted access to the electronic course materials for that course without additional charge if the course is retaken within days of the course's original start dateOur records reflect that upon seeking to re-enroll, during the enrollment process you indicated you would be looking into a course waiver for macroeconomicsYour Academic Counselor assisted you with submitting a course waiver request on June 12, for application of course ECO/previously completed at Daytona State College to waive course ECO/of your current BSB vdegree program with University of PhoenixThis waiver request was denied per policy as the courses are not equivalent, being that the course requested for application is a lower division course (100/200) and the course being requested for waiver is an upper division course (300/level)Your Academic Counselor spoke with you at approximately 8:a.mon June 13, 2017, informing you that this waiver request had been denied but you now had the option of submitting an appeal to the Student Appeals Center (SAC) for further review of the waiver requestYou indicated you would work on the required statement for your SAC package submission, as well as gather the course summary from Daytona State College to support the waiver requestYou scheduled a follappointment with your Academic Counselor for June 15, at 7:a.mto discuss next steps in that processYou submitted an Official Withdrawal via your student website on this same date and elected to end your enrollment with University of PhoenixWe find no indication of any guarantee or promise that course ECO/would be waived with transfer credit from another institutionYour Academic Counselor assisted you in submission of the course waiver request and also provided you accurate guidance regarding the SAC processWhile there is no guarantee that a SAC appeal request would be approved, we encourage you to continue working with your Academic Counselor who can assist you in the SAC processAt this time the University respectfully denies your request to waive the institutional charges associated in your ACC/as we find you were provided with the proper guidance consistent with the status of your account at the time of your inquiriesAlthough each student experiences many different situations, our staff prides itself in providing the best possible customer serviceIn a continuing effort to improve the quality of education and service we provide our students, we value your feedbackThank you for bringing these matters to our attentionIf you need guidance or have additional questions in regards to your account, As clearly stated when I dropped out of those classes I wasn't enrolled no more then a few days, so now they are charging me the class amounteven though all money was returned, I am just not seeing the connection of me having to pay for courses when all the money from the loans was returned in an appropriate time, I did not spend a deal amount of time in these classes to warrant charges, this to me just seems like a way for this school to make moneySo now I have to pay money that I do not have just to get my official transcripts for classes that I did not takeWhen I asked to please drop me from this school, the person I talked to at the time tried to convince me to stay, so I did and when I dropped out of the course to enter into another one no charges was placed for that class and now that I want to leave this school to go to a community college the want to charge me for those same classes

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details in the response are inaccurate and untrueMr*** *** was not in constant communication with me and when he did communicate, he lied about the situationMr*** advised me that my IP grade had posted and second disbursement was releasing; it did note second issue, my Grad Plus loan show son my credit report that UOPX received and disbursed $to me, however, this is untrue and according to their letter the amount received was $3829.00, this needs t be corrected by UOPXThe adjustment made on my account was not done in good faith, the adjustment was done because UOPX Mr*** and Mr*** *** lied and said that when I originally applied for the Grad Plus Loan, my loan was okay without any issuesI was not notified until months later of missing paperwork, which led to me having to reapplyMy disbursement should have released in *** ***, however, UOPX falsely reported an incorrect grade, did not change the grade until it was too late and the extension for the class had endedMy disbursements should have released in January, however, UOPX again about my enrollment status and placed my funds on hold stating I was not in attendance when in fact I was in attendanceFor months, I consistently called uOPX asking why the school is constantly reporting me out of attendance and placing my funds on hold when I am in attendanceThe response was my account will always go on hold because of a leave of absence I took in which makes no sense at allAlthough UOPX is not responsible for credit reporting, UOPX is required to accurately report attendance status correctly so that the lender can report accordingly; UOPX didn't and I was reported negatively stating my loans were not in an school deferment I have a copy of the credit report showing thisThe overall complaint is that UOPX does not handle accounts properly, there are misuse of students funds, advisors are not held accountable for messing up s accounts, classes are affected because of the mistakes UOPX makes and my residency was denied because UOPX consistently showed the charges on my account for residency was zeroI never received and invoice stating that there was a cost for the class, still don't have a invoice explaining how a zero course class is over $when we are charged a set fee per credit ourI was sent in email days before class stating I had to pay $without any clear explanation and my class was cancelled because of thisI made several calls to ODM who does not respond or address the complaints in a timely manner, the research person *** has not called one time to discuss the overall issues with the account and try to get these resolvedHer response is to send an email base don what the campus says without fully researching to get the full facts by also speaking with the student to get to the core of the issuesI am requesting a full breakdown of residency cost and an explanation with an invoice that shows how this cost was calculated as it seems like a cost made up by UOPXI do not see this fee anywhere listed in my account summary or anywhere in my enrollment agreement

Good afternoon, The University is still reviewing this student's concerns and will provide a response expeditiously.Kind regards, *** ***, MBA/HRM Senior ManagerUniversity of Phoenix Office of Dispute Management
