I think that it's time for a class action lawsuit. I would encourage anyone who has ever belong to car shield to find out if there is an attorney who specializes in class-action suits to get involved and to start this. In addition to the Revdex.com, I must also be some action that people can take with their district attorney's offices, locally. Good luck!
Thanks for reaching out to us.
We have reviewed your file and see there have been no claims filed on your behalf and no communication with you since the date of purchase of your vehicle service contract. On June 16, 2020 I took my 2016 Chrysler Town & Country van in for repairs. The engine was making a tapping noise and the transmission was failing. On July 22, 2020 I was informed by the dealership that the engine work was authorized. So that's over a month right there that it took to get someone from CarShield out to look at the engine. That same day the dealership informed that something needs to be done because my van was taking up space that could have been used for someone else's vehicle. On July 23, 2020 I went ahead and authorized the transmission work. At this point I was without my vehicle for over 5 weeks. My job is dependent on me having my vehicle since my job is delivery. The dealership also had the transmission out and ready for an adjuster to look at it. They had tied on a multiple occasions to contact them as well as I to get an adjuster out to look at the transmission only to get put on hold for extraordinary lengths of time. Even opting for a callback option of which you might get a callback or you might not. On one occasion I was on a 3-way call with CarShield and my dealership. After talking with a representative we were put on hold waiting for an adjuster to answer the call. After 30 minutes the dealership had to go as they have a job to do and can't sit on the phone forever waiting. I even listened as he put in for a callback and did not receive one. If they have tried to call the dealership the do not leave messages. Finally on July 29, 2020 I was told by the dealership that my van was ready. And ever since then we have both tried many, many times to contact an adjuster only to go through the rigamarole of sitting on hold talking to different reps and getting nowhere. On July 30, 2020 the dealership finally received payment for the engine work. On July 31, 2020 I was advised by a representative that the documents for the transmission would have to be re-sent. On August 4, 2020 I was told by an adjuster to re-send the documents. That same day I paid for and picked up my van at an out-of-pocket cost of $5171.73. The emails sent to the adjuster bounced back as undeliverable. Either he gave me an incorrect email address or I wrote it down wrong. On August 5, 2020 I called again and got a callback from another representative and while on the phone with her I was texting to the dealership to send the documents directly to her as she gave me her email address. She did verify that she did in fact receive them. She assured me that she would forward them on to an adjuster. Then as of August 10, 2020 there was still no word from CarShield. I emailed the lady that I talked to on August 5 and got no response. Then as of August 12, 2020 there was still no word. From that date through August 14 I tried numerous times to call them and the calls would immediately disconnect. No ringing. No phone prompts. Nothing but a hang up. The dealership even confirmed to me that CarShield never told them the transmission would not be covered. How can that determination be made without any contact between CarShield and the dealership? Then on August 17, 2020 I finally got through and the representative told me that the transmission is not covered. During this phone call I was passed around like a drunk teenage girl at a frat party to 4 different people. Finally the last person I spoke with informed me to have the dealership resend the documents and state their case as to why the transmission should be covered. They did just that and still have not heard anything from CarShield. I was informed by this last person I spoke with that because there was a transmission coolant leak (which is not covered) was the cause of the transmission failure and therefore will not be covered. But how can this be? Is this not part of the transmission? According to the dealership this was not the cause of the failure.
And for the first 3 weeks of this ordeal I paid for a vehicle rental. This also to a very long time to get any reimbursement seeing that it was over 5 weeks before they authorized the engine work. And then at that time I was told that only a part of that time for the rental would be reimbursed. So out of an $852.92 rental bill I received a reimbursement of $680.00. I was told that I was only covered for 17 days of rental. Yet if I hadn't paid for the transmission myself my van would still be at the dealership for now what would be 63 days of which I would have had to pay for 46 of those days myself. The ads on TV and radio are very misleading and should be removed from broadcasting.
On a side note I had a similar experience with CarShield almost a year ago. Last September I had to have the number 2 cylinder of the engine replaced and that took over 4 weeks to get authorized with it being a total of 5 weeks total without my van after the repairs were done.
We appreciate you bringing this to our attention.
As noted on the first three pages of your contract, American Auto Shield is the administrator of your vehicle service contract and has full authority over repair procedures, approvals, denials and payments. That being said, if you would like to email us the SIGNED, repair invoice to [email protected] we would be happy to forward it to the proper party for review of reimbursement eligibility.
We look forward to hearing from you and working towards a resolution on this matter.

recently filed a lawsuit against the Revdex.com-St. Louis. The lawsuit asserts that

on 7/22/20 I received a carshield letter in mail to add extra coverage to my 1999 lexus rx300 for powertrain, engine and transmission, sounded like a good deal and the way the sales rep vouched for them and the contract was well written up showing what they would repair if something goes wrong showed me that America is still the way to go, o so I added the coverage. After a couple triips out of town. on 8/12/20 I started having transimission issues so being that I had the carshield/amarican auto shield I called them to notify carshield that I needed to have my car towed to a shop for diagnosis and repair, so Customer Service and The carshield/Americanautoshield Contract, suggested that I have my Lexus rx300 towed to the dealership..Lexus Dealership of Greenville SC had exceptional customer service, even gave me a loaner equillivent to my car, the service consultant stayed in contact with me trying to resolve my trasmission issue, solution that the lexus dealership gave me was bad transmission, so the service consultant whom name is David had a awful time including myself attempting to contact carshield/americanauto shield so finally after 7 days lexus and carshield touch basis, after researching and seeing all the claims that were paid from customers taking their car to the dealership I was very happy thinking that my repair issue will be resolved being David and the adjuster had spoken, I come home around 2pm on 8/18/20 my answering machine has a message from lexus dealership and carshield, I return *** phone call and the explained that carshield wasnt going to honor what their contract states and replace my transmision instead after speaking with david and listeneing to carshields message they need someone to break the whole transmission down and find the exact componet thats causing the issue so carshield wants me to tow my car to another repair shop and im also left with a $200 bill from the lexus dealerhip for a diagnostic test from which I was told and misled from The carshield/*** shield customer service reps the Contract and dispatch that dipatched the tow ...Now im upset because I reviewed https://carshield.com/claims-paid/claims-paid-list.php before I called carshield/*** shield about this situation, since I was advised to take tow my suv to the dealership what made my claim different from all these other claims that is highlighted to gain a customers confidence, because most of them took theirs to the dealer, so as im waiting to speak to carshied/***shield about this situaltion I spoke with couple rude reps that didnt really care about my situation nor did they tell the truth about my future hold time to speak to a supervisor, after another wait the superivisor in phoenix can find his name but his supervisor name is vincente cause he would not let me speak to him said vincente doesn't take calls nor does he interact with customer now im realizing im on with amercanautoshield so im being told by one of vincentes supervisors that I need to take my car to another repair shop I need to pay my the bill and its nothing they can do....he also told me I need to call carshiled cause americanautoshield has nothing to do with them telling me to take it to the dealership but thats what the contract says and if anyone signs up for the service they will be maniupulated into thinking that we can take our transportation to the dealership to be repaired now they want me to pay a bill diagnostic bill that lexus of greenville created while the showed their test showed I had a bad transmission....I was very upset talking very political when I brought up the issue that ive had several caucasian friends that got their car repaired without any questions I stated that I was being racially profiled during the matter because the superivisor spoke with said I sounded very passionate then he stated black live dont matter, thats when I got very upset, but I realized why they carshiled/americnaauto treated me so unfair was because to the color of my skin but I cant change companies nor their policies but I am to the point that I have to pay, but lexus already told them the issue also during my test and it should be repaired there like tha contract supports and like the reps that told me to take it there, minus the blm comments I realize that most of these companies are full of racist individuals that dont like african americans and will do anything to sabatoge their character but I hope I can receive a call from someone in corporate or the ceo because when reps that work for conglomerates utilize racist remaks and im just regualr citizen thats trying to make it through the pandamic and scammers, please look into this whole situation and give me a call before I escalate this information to a higher power that will resolve the false advertising to the hate remarks thats attempting to use hard working people for their money and not honoring their contracts....

We have contacted your service contact administrator to obtain information on the repair claim you have referenced. The notes in your account indicate the repair facility your vehicle is currently at is unable to perform the tear down needed to determine the cause of failure on your vehicle. The cause of failure must be determined for your claim to move forward. If your claim is approved, you could be reimbursed for the $200 diagnostic fee but that can not be determined until the tear down is complete.
If you are unhappy with your contract, you are still within the 30 day/money back guarantee time frame. You are eligible for a full refund of your initial payment until August 23rd, 2020. Please let us know how you would like to proceed with your claim by either having your vehicle moved to a different repair facility or with a full refund that can processed within 3-5 business days.
We look forward to hearing from you and working towards a resolution on this matter. Thank you for being a CarShield customer.

I have basically bought a transmission from carshield/*** from the research work csd/ama needed in order to prove that my transmission fell into the category from which my contract states work was done, Pictures was sent after transmission was broken down and cause of failure was listed, I was approved by a *** adjuster *** whom 2 weeks later is no longer working for ***, a week later new adjuster *** was appointed to my account, we spoke formally he told me the claim should be approved, also a ***/carshield inspector was appointed to account, inspector whom is not a certified transmission specialist whom has been in bussiness for 60 years, and has received a long list of awards dealing with transmissons, my repair specialist at *** in Greenville,SC gave carshield/*** the cause of failure which was from torque converter from which the claim should have been approved instead the inspector who is not a 60 year veteran at repairing transmissions gives statement saying that I drove on the transmission for 7 miles and the vehicle could not have had a transmission issue within 7 miles but they are leaving out the 500 miles and 20 days that was accumalated when the from the start of the contract and inspector "stated there was discoloration of the torque converter, extensive metal evident and burned fluid that shows a breakdown that could not have possible occurred in the 7 miles that the vehicle was driven outside of the waiting period" in which they are going to contradict themselves either there is no coverage during the waiting periord or I drove on my transmission while it had issues which is not true and the inspector said it was pre existing just and excuse not to pay, Im almost 50 years old and I have enough sense to know not to drive on a bad transmission which would be slipping and problaby not drive at all, My claim was denied by the inspector after *** the adjuster approved the claim next week fired, I had to pay *** $500 to get my car back for a service that carshield/*** wanted for my claim to proceed but wouldnt pay the bill because it was denyed after it had been approved, the main objective info they needed was "the cause of failure" these past 45 days from the Lexus dealership whom wouldnt break down transmission unless a money deposit was issued, then towed to *** certified specialist for 60 years gives the cause of failure torque converter covered under warranty, Once again ***/carshield along with the inspector act as the opposing insurance company and attempts to add false accusations to the claim stating it was pre existing lexus had car first never made that claim, *** never made that claim but the allow someone working within their company to deny claims and make it look as if he is correct, Its a lose lose situation I got all the info they was supposed have to make this an approved claim yet they still found a way to deny it, and everytime I call im treated like im the bad guy, but I had to pay lexus dealership $375 and *** $500 dollars for labor and taking transmission apart to locate their main objective the cause of failure not knowing that they would then not use the 60 years specialist info pertaing to the "cause of failure" to then have a third party make bogus allegiations and deny a once appoved claim, all the notes everytime I called even message sent from a carshiield rep on twitter tell me I need a cause of failure if thats the case they should of not allowed me to take my transmision to a shop and just allowed their inspector to give his false guess's, I paid a $375 bill with lexus of greenville, and a $500 bill with *** of Greenville because carshield/*** wanted a cause of failure, I had to authorize each company to retrieve once they received acted is if it wasnt part of the main protocol...I need to refunded my months of service with carshield and also need a to be refunded the amounts of money I paid to Lexus and *** I was told everytime I called csrs even the person who replied to me on twitter states it subpoena notes phone records conversations and it will state thats all they needed once I got it, and the cause of failure fell into a category from which carshield/*** has to pay they act as if they never spoke of it, csrs nor superveisors never gave me the Inspectors log about my transmission issues that I want to see along pictures taken also my transmission specialist was conned into signing a document that the inspector wrote, ASK ***. CSR FROM *** WAS CONNED INTO SIGNING INSPECTORS DOCUMENT, AND I KEPT BEING TOLD FROM CSRS THAT YOUR TRANSMISSION GUY SIGNED OFF ON IT *** TOLD ME HE WAS SIGNING ONE AREA THAT WAS THE INTERNAL ISSUES AND TORQUE CONVERTER FAILURE, BEING MY CASE IS BEING REVIEWED IN THE LEGAL TEAM PLEASE FEEL FREE TO SUBPOENA, *** , *** EXADJUSTER LEXUS DEALERSHIP BECAUSE STATED, HE WASNT AGREEING WITH THE WHOLE DOCUMENT JUST ONE SENTENCE ABOUT THE INTERNAL FAILURE AND TORQUE CONVERTER WAS THE CAUSE OF FAILURE BUT THE INSPECTOR DIDNT TELL HIM ONE SIGNATURE WOULD MAKE IT LOOK AS IF HE WAS COSIGNING THE WHOLE DOCUMENT PLEASE CONTACT *** AT MR..TRANSMISSIONS IN GREENVILLE SC, HE WILL CONFIRM WHAT IM SAYING, ALSO I NEED HAVE COPY OF EVERYTHING THAT LEXUS, *** AND THE INSPECTOR ADDED TO MY CLAIM PLEASE REFUND MY CAUSE OF FAILURE LABOR *** AND MY MENTAL AND STRESS ABUSE IVE ACCUMULATED SINCE I FILED MY FIRST ONLY AND LAST CLAIM.....SINCE I CANT GET WHATS RIGHTFULLY OWED TO ME A TRANSMISSION PLEASE REFUND MY $500 THAT I PAID *** FOR THE CAUSE OF FAILURE WHAT THEY WOULD BEG ME FOR EACH TIME I CALLED BUT DIDNT AKNOWLEDGE THE INFO WHEN IT WAS SUPPLIED TO THEM THROUGH EMAILS AND INVOICE......THANK YOU TRAVIS HUNT
FIX TRANSMISSION AND/OR REFUND MY $500 FROM MR.TRANSMISSION FOR CAUSE OF FAILURE THAT WAS THEY MAIN OBJECTIVE BUT WASNT AKNOWLEDGED WHEN I WAS IN FAVOR OF THE CLAIM...AND MY $100 PER MONTH FOR CAR SHIELD COVERAGE THAT THE INSPECTOR FALSIFIED INFO ON, OBVIOUSLY THE NOTES ARE SAYING SOMETHING TO RUSH ME OFF THE PHONE AND GIVE ME LIMITED INFO ALSO I NEED ALL DOCUMENTS ABOUT MY TRANSMISION FROM THE INSPECTOR , LEXUS DEALERSHIP AND ***.

According to our records, you customer
purchased a month-to-month Vehicle Service Contract (the "VSC") on July
23, 2020. The VSC had a wait period of 20
days and 500 miles or 40 days and 250 miles. The mileage reported your at the time of VSC purchase was
255,589.Your claim was opened by your first chosen
repair facility when it called *** (***) on August 13, 2020. The repair facility reported the breakdown occurred on August 12, 2020 (21 days after the VSC was
purchased and 1 day after expiration of the wait period) and the breakdown
mileage as 256,097 (507 miles since the date the VSC was purchased and 7 miles
past the wait period mileage requirements). The vehicle had been towed to the first repair facility, and you reported
that the vehicle would not shift. ***
advised that a cause of failure would need to be determined, pursuant to the
VSC, and the first repair facility stated it did not perform teardowns. You were advised on August 18, 2020
that the vehicle would have to be moved to a repair facility that performed
teardowns. You were also advised you would have
to pay the current diagnostic charges and that if the cause of failure was
something other than an instant failure during the effective period and after
the wait period, you would be responsible for the cost.Your vehicle was moved to a new repair facility
on or about August 21, 2020, which advised *** that
the vehicle had no function other than engaging in cold temperatures, there was
metal in the pan, and there was a possible problem with the torque
converter. The second repair facility recommended a
transmission replacement. Your vehicle was inspected by an independent,
third-party inspection service on September 23, 2020. The transmission had been partially
disassembled, and the inspector removed metal from the torque converter. The transmission pan was heavily coated in
fiber and metal contamination. The rear
clutches were burnt. The inspector
suspected the valve body and solenoid were contaminated due to the amount of
debris demonstrated. The inspector found
no evidence of a mechanical failure and determined the problems were due to the
vehicle's mileage or age. The claim was
denied pursuant to Section D.2.t. of the VSC.The claim was reviewed by the Legal Claims
Specialist for ***, who confirmed the denial. The transmission problems were a long-term failure of the torque
converter. The vehicle was 7 miles out
of the wait period, and the morning it was towed to the first repair facility was the first
day the vehicle could have a covered failure. Not only was the claim denied due to Section D.2.t. of the VSC, but also
as a pre-existing condition.Your contact has been canceled and you will receive a payment full. You will receive one payment back to the VISA *** and the remainder will sent via check within 7-10 business days.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Sincerely
I have had insurance with this company for over a year. I haven't file a claim until recently. The starter broke on my BMW. I paid $65 to have the car towed to a repair shop. It took a week to get in contact with Carshield to file a claim. I was on the phone for an hour when I first called Carshield. The repair costs $1270. They agreed to pay over $700 to Top Tech and I would pay the remainder of the bill along with the $100 deductible. The car has been at the repair shop for two weeks because they have not paid the repair shop. The repair shop has called and emailed them and they haven't responded to him. They just took another $100 out of my account on 8/18. I have to pay the whole amount of the repair because I need my car. The last time I spoke with Carshield was last week and they told me they would get in touch with the repair shop and that didn't happen.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
We have reviewed the notes from the claims department. Their notes indicate payment on your claim was authorized and made to your repair facility on August 17th, 2020.

Auto repair payment. My Jeep has been in the Bryden Motors dealership for 4 weeks waiting for payment from Carshield. They got the ok for what Carshield would pay. Bryden has been calling, faxing information, and emailing for a final payment after the work has been done. Now Carshield is denying they ever received stated contact or information. I just want them to pay the amount they agreed on so I can finally get my car. Burden and I have done everything we can to resolve this matter. I think Carshield is a scam.

We have contacted the claims department to obtain information on the claim repair you have referenced. I have a warranty with this company. I have a 2006 Dodge Caravan. It's been at the shop for a while and the shop has not been able to get in contact with Carshield. I have also tried and have not been successful.
We apologize for the delays in facilitating
your claim.Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, most American
Auto Shield ("AAS") employees are working remotely; as a result, some
callers are experiencing connection issues and extended hold times.
Likewise, we experienced interruptions to our

Have been unable to resolve a claim in over a week. Initial inability to contact due to alleged computer and phone systems down for a week. Repair dealership also could not reach company. Once contact was made was advised that it would be 24 to 48 hours to contact repair location. Should repairs be completed, will cancel contract.

I paid 98$ a month for the Diamond plan. My husband and myself call 2 different times and spoke to a customer service repetitive concerning the repairs my Chevy Traverse. My suv had a waring across the dash saying my SIDE SYSTEM WARING , BLIND SPOT, was not activated. I took a picture of the warning and called Carshield again (2 times) to double check that this was covered.
We have a mechanic, but he does not subscribe to ASE as mechanic, way more expensive !My husband took my suv to ***. After 6 hours of sitting and waiting for Carshield to call with the confirmation number to start the work on my suv, I also called from my job to ask why are they not calling *** with the information they need. The man I spoke to by the name of *** in MO, called *** while I was on the phone with him and gave the supervisor numbers for him to call.
By the 6th hours a lady called and said we were not covered ! The Diamond plan did not cover what they said they did !
I called back and spoke to a supervisor by the name of Ashley, she was rude, she was not caring about what we were going through! She said the customer service people that we spoke too must NOT of know what they were talking about !!
1343.00 later , my husband paid the bill and nothing was covered and I paid 98 dollar for 5 months.
Please help us and help us to keep other people to go through this.

I purchased an extended warranty for all 3 of my vehicles after seeing a commercial . a few months my check engine light came on. I called carshield and was told to take it to the dealership and I was able to get a rental and I would have to submit my receipt to be reimbursed. The dealership said it was something wrong with my alternator battery, compressor o rings, engine drive belt, gaskets and senors. They filed a claim and I called car shield and it took them more than a week to get back in touch with me. The adjuster said that the warranty I purchased would not cover any of the repairs. I AM HIGHLY DISSATISFIED. I canceled my services on 1 vehicle but they cancelled the wrong vehicle and I requested them to return my 2 months of payments and they refused. I HAVEN'T EVEN BEEN REIMBURSED FOR THE RENTAL.
We appreciate you bringing this to our attention.
We have contacted your service contract administrator to obtain information on the repair claim you have referenced. Although our CarShield contracts cover many parts on your vehicle, the parts needed for repair to your vehicle were not components listed for coverage in your vehicle service contract terms. Your service contract states that rental reimbursement will be granted upon approval of the repair claim. See Section C, Additional Benefits, paragraph 2, starting on Page 4 of your contract. Therefore the claim for reimbursement on the rental car has been denied.
We see that you requested your contract be cancelled on August 18th, 2020 that request has been processed. We do apologize for the misunderstanding with your father's vehicle service contract but assure you that has been taken care of and the correct contract has been cancelled.

We have contacted the claims department to obtain information on the repair claim you have referenced. Although there was never a claim filed on your behalf. We do see pre-claim notes that the cause of failure on your vehicle was a thermostat and a leaking upper intake manifold which are parts not listed for coverage under your vehicle service contract terms.
Your request for cancellation was processed on June 30, 2020. CarShield will refund your initial payment as a goodwill gesture and in good faith to resolve this matter. You will receive the refund by check within 7-10 business days.
We are sorry to lose you as a CarShield customer.

On June 22, 2020 I took my car to *** in Kanab to have the a/c fixed. The estimated repair was:
A/C Kit TEM79350N $693.62
A/C Condenser IK 600384 $239.58
Fan Clutch 155-0708 $188.66
A/C flush $46.22
R134A Freon 3@ 18.95. $56.85
Labor: test and diagnose $89.00
Shop Supplies $86.45
8.1% sales tax $192.73
Total..................................%2572.11
After waiting 23 days...23 days! and about 6 hours on phone calls trying to get a resolution, all they gave me was hassle and runaround. I am 72 years old with a broken foot that required surgery. We live in a very remote area that is 35 miles from the Auto Repair shop so this was extremely difficult for me and my wife. We kept thinking they would fix the car, a 2008 Nissan Xterra but we felt like a mule chasing a carrot.
My contract number was *** ($94.35 per month) for the 2008Nissan and,
my contract number was *** ($94.35 per month) for our 2012 Corolla.
As you can see by our cars we are not rich people and we paid hundreds of dollars for membership in Carshield. We were totally ripped off. We seek $2,572.11 to fix the a/c or at very least, 100 % remuneration of total fees paid to Carshield. I do not feel I can fix the car unless I HAVE CASH IN HAND. otherwise I'm sure they will not honor the contract because they have refused to honor it in the past.
We apologize for the delays in facilitating
your claim. As noted on the first three pages of your contract, American Auto Shield is the administrator of your vehicle service contract. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, most American
Auto Shield ("AAS") employees are working remotely; as a result, some
callers are experiencing connection issues and extended hold times.
Likewise, we experienced interruptions to our
claims and telephone systems. Our systems are now fully operational and
we are working to reach out to all claimants who were affected during the
previous week. We realize these issues are not acceptable and certainly
do not reflect our commitment to provide the highest levels of service.
We apologize for your inconvenience and look forward to providing excellent
service in the future. We have escalated this with leadership in the
Claims Department and you should receive a call shortly regarding that status of your claim.
We appreciate your continued patience and thank you for being a loyal CarShield customer.

I am rejecting this response because:
More delay no commitment. I have terminated my membership. I want something legally binding, in writing, that they will honor my claim or reimburse all membership funds due to their lack of compliance. They had over three weeks to act and they did not. I complied with their membership rules, I want them to do the same.
Sincerely
Thanks for reaching out again.
The claims department has contacted your repair facility requesting pictures showing the a/c system contamination so the claim can move forward. The call was placed today and a message was left at your repair facility for the service advisor to call and update the claims department. The pictures can be emailed to [email protected] if you would like to contact your repair facility with the information.

I am rejecting this response because:they are just asking me to go through more hoops to delay the process hoping I’ll give up. I want either of two things,
1) send a check to me for the repair amount or a refund of the 3 months I was a member. If not I will try to make make myself an internet presence through yelp and others that will cost CarShield more than if they just meet basic compliance.
Sincerely
We would like to submit another response to *** complaint and request that this complaint be closed as resolved.*** stated in his response on 8/26 that he did not want to move forward with the repair claim by having his repair facility submit the ac pictures requested by his service contract administrator. *** stated that he would like a full refund to resolve this matter. I am rejecting this response because:I had two cars under contract: *** and ***. When it became apparent they would not honor a contract on one contract, I cancelled both contracts. My payment history is as follows:
***. ***
5/29/20. $73.38. $115.32
6/29/20. $94.35. $94.35
7/29/20. $94.35. $94.35
TOTALS. $262.08. $304.02
On August 31, I received credits of &73.38 and $94.35. As I read their correspondence, it seems they are dealing with only one of my contracts. I will not close the Revdex.com file satisfactorily unless both contracts are refunded in full. I consider the current outstanding balance to be $398.37. Carshield referenced a check coming within ten days. Depending on the amount of the forthcoming check, I will consider closing the complaint successfully.
Sincerely
The refund is for the FULL amount of BOTH contracts (*** & ***) and both contracts are cancelled.

I have had car shield for a few month never had a claim now my car is in the shop has been for 14 days and still can't get them to ok the repairs that are covered under my plan. I have called everyday and the repair shop has sent them everything they needed even got confirmation on them receiving it that was 6 days ago and they still haven't put a claims adjuster on it. Also my coverage is supposed to cover a rental care but until they put a claims adjuster on it they won't approve a rental car. So I've been without a car for 14 days. Everytime I call they lie to me about it

I took my car into an auto mechanic shop on 8/3/2020 was advised of the issue and notified carshield. I was on hold with then the first time for almost 2 hours when I had to hang up to get back to work. My mechanic then tried calling them and also was left on hold while working on other cars. I have called throughout the week and was not able to speak with anyone. When I did get someone on the phone I was told to hold and transferred to a recording saying they were closed. After calling several times and last time being on hold for over 3 hrs I sent an email on through their site which says they will return the call with 24hrs. Here it is 3 weeks later and still have not received a response. My mechanic says he was able to start a claim but had to receive a call back from an adjuster who still hasn't called. They take the money out my account each month but refuse to return the calls or handle claims.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
We have contacted the claims department and see that they requested an itemized statement from your repair facility on August 18th, 2020. Please have your repair facility send the requests as their earliest convenience to move your claim forward.

I filed a claim with carshield in June to repair my vehicle based on the contract. I have a timing chain problem, In June I took my car to ford Auto Nation dealer for repairs. I have called and the dealer has called numerous times to get approval. I have been on hold for over a hour on many occasions only to be hung up on.. The dealer has also tried to contact carshield with no success. But every month I am still paying the premiums and getting no results or satisfaction.. I NEED MY CAR REPAIR
Thank for bringing this to our attention.

I have warranty with Car Shield. I have paid them for the last six months. My transmission went out. I called Car Shield. They told me to take it to a shop and an representative would come and look at it. I waited a couple of days. I never heard back from Car Shield. No one from Car Shield contacted the shop either. They told me that if someone didn't come soon, I'd have to come get the car or be charged storage. When I called Car Shield they told me that they would not take care of the car because of one of the transmission lines. I had to have the car towed. And I had to pay for the car to be fixed. That shop was going to charge me $3000. They told me they would fix it, but I had to send them the $1200 to be repaired, and I would have to pay the difference. It didn't make any sense to me. I took it to another shop and paid out of my pocket to be repaired, $1200.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
