CarShield Reviews (%countItem)

The primary objective of this company is to provide service for car repairs and I have never ever received such service from this company, even after numerous attempts to file a claim. I paid CarShield for well over a year, they were paid and deducted money from my bank account on time every month throughout the duration until I decided to cancel the service. My problem is that the specified coverage that I was assured I would have and that I certainly paid for, was not rendered. Every single time I attempted to get a claim approved, even for specified outlined covered parts, they always came up with a story as to why they could not cover the service in question, nor did they attempt to source parts to the dealership to make the repairs cheaper, as they also claimed they would do. I basically just threw money away to them and paid for every service for my vehicle out of my own pocket, making my car warranty service from CarShield absolutely pointless. I even had to go as far as to file a stop payment with my bank for this company after I cancelled the service because they still took money out of my account even after I stopped my contract and cancelled the service, infuriating me further with the company.

I am rejecting this response because:

I appreciate that they are trying to resolve this issue with me. They are offering a refund for six payments and I don't think that's fair. I think they should provide more than that and I would be willing to take a 50% refund, but I would prefer a full refund. I am willing to compromise with them and I am a longstanding customer with them.

Sincerely

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

We have reviewed the notes on your account. Although there many parts covered in our vehicle service contracts, unfortunately the parts needed for repair to your vehicle were not eligible for coverage. We see that you requested your account be cancelled on January 3rd, 2020. Your request was processed at that time.

As a gesture of goodwill, CarShield will refund 6 payments in a good faith attempt to resolve this matter. You will receive one payment back to the initial form of payment and the remainder will be sent via check within 7-10 business days.

I have a maintenance issue with my 2013 Ford F150. I have had Carshield I believe since last May. My issue was with my 2 front axles failing, which is covered. I filed a claim online because I could not get in touch with anyone on the phone. I finally got in touch with them and they said they had the claim. Myself and the dealer tried to reach them from July 20-28 with nothing, no call backs, no answers or anything. I had to have my car fixed so I told them to fix it and pay out of pocket and I would continue to contact them. I finally got in contact with them and they said their phone system was down during that time. I faxed the bill to *** as requested. Since then I have gotten the run around.

Car Shield has deceptive advertising. They say the deductible is supposed to be $100 for covered charges. I paid more than $210 for a covered charge. They also keep customers on hold for up to 45 minutes or morewhen you call for help.

This company has the worst customer service that I have or my dealership have experienced in a long time. The dealership has been trying to call and remains on hold(. I have been on hold for 3 hours. They have also left a call back number that never materializes. They will (over a week now) not pick up for claims... and if you call on another number, they quickly transfer to another "hold" for hours. They dont want to respond to customers like they are *** you to not pay the claim..... it is always an endless hold.It appears that this is a multi-million dollar scam.

This is the first time that I am using Car Shield, after waiting a long time to speak to an agent they finally answered and said he was transferring me to a claims adjuster which I thought it would go straight through!! Wrong, it put me on hold again. and it said if I wanted to leave a message to press the star button so I tried that but it wouldn't let me leave a message. My auto repair guy said they said it could take up to 3 days, I was thinking about adding my 2017 jeep to my policy but after this I'll be looking for another company.

I want to start by saying the costumer services people were nice, but when it came to the claims department, it was one of the worse experiences I had. Back in May after seeing advertisements for CarShield and having to pay over $1k on a repair to my car a few months prior. I decided to give it a try. I normally fix my cars myself but because of my current job in the US Air Force and everything going on I’m not able to do so myself. Now after two months of paying the premium coverages on two of my car, the check engine light came on. So I call to make sure I take care of it the right way. I have an Audi A5 and the closes dealership is 4 hours away. When it comes to Audi most work is going to be expensive but I have the coverage and after calling I was clear to take it there. Now It been over 3 frustrating weeks of me having back and forward with the *** adjuster and costumer services. They decided not to cover because they needed my bill of sale, The bill of sale was the previous title that got turned in to the DMV who according to Texas DMV, and I called to confirm after the old title gets processed and the new title gets sent, the old title/bill of sale get shredded. To educate them I explain that when you buy a car outside of a loan the title can be used as your bill of sale. But because I don’t have one they denied coverage. And that is the worst excuse they could come up with to denied coverage. It didn’t matter the fact that the car was fully functional when I got the coverage and that I had proof of the last repair done a few months before getting it. And now on top of that they don’t want to refund me for the months payed.

This company is not responsive to there customers.NEVER USE OR USETHIS COMPANY

CarShield is useless in my estimation and opinion. My car has been sitting for nearly 30 days now at a place that has had no success in reaching these people. My husband has been calling them as well. Often times he ends up finding they have hung up on him. I'm sending a letter to our state's Attorney General with a huge complaint. And I do mean HUGE. Also, when my husband tried to inquire about renting a car---that was a lost cause as well. Needless to say their advertising on television is a lot of false claims. I would never buy into a program like this ever again. They take your money but you get nothing in return for this investment of auto safety, etc

I have my car at the jeep dealer my car has been there for 2 weeks and the mechanic has yet to get a hold of anybody I have tried to get ahold of somebody all they do is give me a runaround I'm still waiting I talk to a manager still haven't heard anything back from anyone else and I'm really disgusted in this place they have no problem taking your money. And tell you what you want to hear. carshield is a joke my name is Rosa and my car is a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee I do give them a zero but unfortunately there is no for zero.

Purchased a power train gold contract with Carshield for my 2013 Dodge Avenger. Took my car into the local dealership to get the issue fixed but the claim was denied by Carshield. I was told by Carshield they would cover engine and transmission but my issue with the car was engine related and they outright refused the claim, causing me to pay out of pocket. I feel this was a misrepresentation of services and attempt to defraud the public

A car shield representative misled me into believing that an extended warranty with carshield would cover repairs most future breakdowns of my car for issues with the transmission or engine. I paid for this overpriced service from November 2019 until June 2020 and in June when my car needed 3k worth the work, this company did not pay a dime. I never authorized an automatic payment, and chose to let my policy lapse per the non-renewal provision in my contract. Then August arrives and it turns out as of today they stole $109 from me. I cannot afford to have someone taking an unauthorized 109 dollars from my checking account right now. This hurts me and my family and is illegal! I want my money back. All of it!!!!!!!!

I have the platnum coverage on my 2015 chevy cruze. 7/27/20 I took it to the Sumner chevy dealership to get serviced. The diagnosis stated a purge valve for the gas tank needed to be replaced. as stated in my contract with them the fuel delivery system and tank components are covered. The dealership was on hold with carshield's claims department for 2 hours then got an automated message saying they were closed. I ended up paying the diagnosis and going to the auto part store to get the part I needed. It was over $350 to replace the part at the dealership so I did it myself. I have called multiple time to ask about reimbursement and over 3 weeks later now I have been hung up on many times, waited 3 days for a supervisor to contact me, and been transfered multiple time on the phone because the reps don't know how to help. I have even been told by one rep that the part was a covered part and still nothing

I purchased a vehicle warranty through car shield in February 2020. Three months later I had to take my car in for repairs. My vehicle is still hold up at the mechanic's place of business.

Do not waste your money!! Not even worth the one star given! It has been 10 days that my car has been in the shop, waiting for a simple air conditioner line. They say it could be another week before they can look into the claim. Again, for a simple air conditioner line!!! Meanwhile I've missed work and feel betrayed. I just want my car back and you better believe they won't get another cent from me unless this is fixed ASAP!

Dont just dont !! The worst company to deal with. They take ur money and find reasons why your car cant be fixed. It takes them 2 to 3 hours to answer ur call. There is not an option for u to leave ur name and number for a return call. On hold once of many times to be hung up on after being on hold for 1 hour and 22 mins. They will not return any money, dealing with them is your loss and learning experience. That tv commercial is a straight up lie.

I got the extended warranty just in case I may need it do to me traveling a lot. After a few months I started having trouble with my 07 Nissan Altima . My warranty said it covered transmission breakdown which was found out to be the issue with the car. It's been 3 months since I've been without a car. The Nissan company did what they was suppose to do . They sent a flow chart and sent it to Car Shield several times. All they have been doing is giving me the run around at first the Nissan company called me and said they approved me shortly after Car Shield called and said the same thing. Then someone else called me asking about making a payment. So I said no not now then I received a letter stating my co-payment was denied. I called to see why it was denied they claimed my claim cover electric damage but my contact clearly said it covers my transmission without making specific parts. I've lost my job over this company thinking they was legit. Yet to this day all they want is a payment and they can't keep their word .. I want a refund on all I've spent with them and my repairs on my car done
