I purchased an extended warranty thru Car Shield, After calling and not getting any return calls or trying to get thru to someone I went to the certified mechanic who had my car and I picked it up. since car shield denied my claim twice due to a faulty timing chain and my battery which was brand new would not keep a charge. Car Shield stated this is a pre-exisiting condition and it will not be covered. Now I have been informed more than once that there are issues with my type of vehicle. Its a 2015 Chevy Equinox and Even a Car Shield representative stated they have a lot of the equinoxes having issues and they have covered many motor issues. Now I do not know if this is a warranty issue or A Chevy Issue but Car Shield does not stand by their promises nor their commercials. They take your money and that is that, I cancelled my policy with them because of the run around and poor service I received form them. I would not refer anyone to them they are rude on the phone Do not return phone calls, There certified mechanics/ adjusters act like they know more than others but they dont look at your car on site. My mechanic had to send them a video. Seriously how can someone see everything that is happening from all parts of the motors operation from a video. My husband was being treated badly on the phone with an adjuster and he builds motors for a living and he has been doing it for over 35 years. Their service is absolutely horrible I have emailed, Called and have seen many complaints.
We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and look forward to working towards a resolution for you in this matter. We have contacted your serivce contract administrator to obtain information on the repair claim you have referenced. Your service contract administrator's notes indicate there was a repair claim submitted in December of 2019. Your contract administrator, American Auto Shield, was waiting for your authorization to remove the timing cover for inspection, so they could then make a final determination on the cause of the failure. They did not ever received your authorization to proceed with the teardown to find the cause of failure.Your claim with American Auto Shield was marked inactive and your account has since cancelled for non payment. We will refund the 3 payment you have made as a gesture of goodwill and in good faith to resolve this issue. Your initial payment will be refunded to your Mastercard ending in 3966 and the remaining balance will be sent me check in 7-10 business days. Respectfully,

Yes the advisor did when I called asking how to file a claim

Best thieves ever! My disable parents bought coverage a few months ago. Now they need it and they are being told “not covered”. The repair shop told them it was leaking coolant and was likely caused by a warped cylinder head. Carshield claims this is not a “naturally occurring lubricated part” so it was not cover under the power train warranty. How is a cylinder head not a natural lubricated part is beyond my and the repair shop’s understanding. Regardless, Carshield wants the shop to tear the motor down to confirm what the shop already told them to only say it’s still not covered. Then my parents are out $1,000 to have it put back together. Carshield took payments every month from my parents with a promise they would cover major repairs as their commercials state and then broke that promise when it came time to pay. That tells me they had no intention of ever paying repair costs therefore that makes them thieves in my book. They took advantage of elderly people who are fighting cancer each and then baled on them. I think Carshield should pay my parents back every monthly premium they paid because they never even got a policy that they could burn and stay warm by. The cherry on top, the adjuster Ben hung up on me.

We purchased car shield on 3/18/2020 for $79.99 x 2 cars totally $160,00 monthly. We went thru all the provisions designed by car shield. Which included: you must put 500 miles on your vehicle and 20 days before your vehicle is covered by them. No problems with my cars at that time. On May 12th we noticed rattling underneath car as we continued to drive rattle became worse. Took the vehicle 2014 Jeep Wrangler to mechanic. Mechanic diagnosed problem with drive shaft. We contacted car shield and they spoke to mechanic (who wasted an hour and half of his time talking to them. He told them in detail what exactly was wrong with the vehicle. Contacting car shield is frustrating and exhausting at best. The run around almost drives you crazy. Eventually after several dead ends we finally got in touch with them and was told we had the "power train gold warranty" therefore a drive shaft isn't covered. If we had purchased the "elite warranty" which was never offered to us it would be covered. They then said because of the mileage it wasn't offered to us. If we where told this we wouldn't had taken the insurance. After several more calls they offered to find us the part at a discounted rate. After talking to my Mechanic he said he would cover his labor but couldn't cover the actual part, which he didn't purchase. I AGAIN called Car Shield and after many attempts I asked to speak to a supervisor. I was transferred once again and told that I must contact the authorizing agent who sold me the plan. I was in FRUSTRATION OVERLOAD. and couldn't handle any more. By the way, you can't email or call car shield to cancel policy. You must put in writing. Therefore, that is why I'm writing to you.
CarShield is here to address your concerns and looks forward to helping with the resolution of this matter. The best service contract your vehicle qualified for, based on the year, make and mileage, was the monthly powertrain gold coverage. During your purchase, the covered components of your service contract were addressed. You also received a copy of your contract by mail and email with a 30 day review period with a full money back guarantee if there was anything you did not like about the contract terms.
Your vehicle's driveshaft in not listed as a covered component in your vehicle service contract terms and not eligible for coverage. As you have requested cancellation of your 2 service contracts, we will agree to refund you in full the payments made on both of your contracts in a good faith effort to resolve your complaint. Your initial payments on both contracts will be refunded to your card, and the remaineder of your refund will be mailed to the address you provided. Revdex.com:

My truck broke down Saturday April 4th 2020 since it was the weekend carshield was closed until Monday morning. I called Carshield and explained what happened. The month-long process began. It has been an absolute nightmare and I am still without a vehicle. I had to endure 3 different inspections at their request, had to pay a mechanic to tear down the engine of my vehicle, spend countless hours on the phone with car shield and their subcontract companies all to have Carshield call over a month later and inform me that my claim was denied. The reason they gave was that the issue was caused by my negligence and overheating of my truck. The issue is a known issue with that particular engine model there are countless YouTube videos on the exact same issue from various people all over the country. Along with my mechanic with over 30 years of experience giving Carshield his professional statement advising that that was not a possibility due to several factors and that he has never seen or heard of what the Carshield inspector's report concluded. I kept documentation of every phone call and every contact between myself and Carshield throughout the month-long process.
I feel like Carshield would do anything to get out of paying a claim and don't understand why it took them a month to make a decision on a claim that was a known issue with that engine.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We are happy to look into this for you and help you in the resolution of this matter. We contacted your service contract administrator to get information on the claim you have brought to our attention. They have stated the following:"The denial for this failure was clear based on your service contract terms. Your vehicle was inspected and shown to have overheated. It was taken to two different repair facilities:At the first one, claim# 985784 4/6/20 with 155,619 miles, it was identified that there was no visible coolant in the radiator and there was smoke coming from the radiator after briefly running the engine indicating a failed head gasket. There was slight damage to the right valve cover indicating an internal failure. The engine was verified to be making noise and a long term water pump leak was present. The shaft on the water pump showed excessive play. No disassembly was performed. At the second repair facility, claim# 987120 4/10/20 with 155,621 miles, it was inspected twice. On the initial inspection the valve cover was removed and the #1 spark plug was removed. On this inspection it was identified that a valve seat for the #1 cylinder dropped. The inspection was returned and reviewed on 4/15. On 4/16 we spoke to the CH and advised we wanted to have the cylinder head removed. We also clearly advised that if the failure was due to overheating the claim would be denied. The second stage of disassembly showed that the head was warped 0.011” and confirmed piston contact with the valve seat in addition to the other findings. Beyond the water pump the cylinder head is not covered as it was not damaged by a lubricated component. The root of the failure was a failed/leaking water pump causing overheating which resulted in the valve seat falling out of the head and subsequent cylinder head warpage. This occurred 27 days and 710 miles after the contract was sold. Although the water pump is covered, the leak residue and significant play in the water pump shaft clearly show this failure was present in the waiting period and possibly before the contract was sold."Please contact your service contract administrator, American Auto Shield, if you have any further questions or concerns regarding this repair claim. They can be reached at 800-531-1925.We have noted that you contacted our office on May 9, 2020 and requested cancellation of your service contract. Your contract has been cancelled as you requested and you are in the process of being refunded the 2 payments you have made.Your initial payment will be refunded back to the Visa Card you used, and the remaining refund will be mailed to the address you have provided. You should receive your check in approximately 10 business days.We trust the forgoing has adequately addressed your concerns.Respectfully,Customer Relations

I am rejecting this response because:
As stated in my original complaint, my mechanic has been doing this for over 30 years and has never heard of or seen a case that overheating could cause a catastrophic failure casting defect to the aluminum head. Although I appreciate the carshield inspectors perspective, stating "the root of the failure was a failed/leaking water pump causing overheating which resulted in the valve seat falling out of the head and subsequent cylinder head warpage." The valve seat did not merely fallout, the valve seat was dislodged because the aluminum casing, which is a known defect for this engine ,broke into several pieces as my attached pictures will show. As well as several YouTube videos by anonymous customers with the same issue. I believe Carshield is trying every angle to not honor their warranty with me and that's why I am submitting this rejection.

I am rejecting this response because:
I do not understand why they would refund my money in full for the monthly payments if they are certain that their Inspector is correct is his findings? Although it was a nice gesture, a couple refunded payments is in no way comparable to the $10,000 or the value of my truckk prior to this incident., they need to honor the contract period.
I live in Cordova, TN., and am 81 years of age. I am writing you only because you are a spokes person for Car Shield. I really hope you will take the time to read my letter because I don't think you would be happy to know what takes place with Car Shield when it has your name on it, especially a man with your reputation.
As I stated before, I am an 81 year old in pretty good health. I took my car in to *** here in Memphis, TN. back on Monday, April 27, 2020 for a problem I was have with my Timing Chain. I own a 2008 Cadillac SRX with 89,000 miles on it. After checking the car out and confirming the problem, my service person, proceeded to call Car Shield for an approval to get the problem repaired. So I waited until 4:00pm, got there at 7:30am Monday morning. So I was provided a loaner car so that I could get home. I received a call from my service guy on Tuesday, April 28th who told me he was told by Car Shield that I needed to provide them will all work history on my car, and that they were sending someone out to inspect the problem. I took the paper work into *** as requested, the service guy said that was all that was needed from me and that they would contact me as soon as they heard from Car Shield. *** provided Car Shield with the information via Fax.
Someone did come out on Wednesday, April 29th, but he inspected the wrong part on my car so they sent somebody else out on Thursday, April 30th, I paid a visit to *** on Friday morning, May 1st. I was told by my service guy that he was sure it would be approved but had not heard back from Car Shield. I was told to go ahead and take the loaner car home with me over the weekend and they would call me on Monday May 4th, hopefully they would have heard from them by then.
I called Car Shield on Monday morning May 4th, left a call back number, never received a call. What I did find out is that now rather than dealing with Car Shield I was dealing with a American Auto Shield, they also never returned my call. Finally got a call from my service guy this morning telling me they were going to cover it but that they would provide the parts and I would have to pay a shipping fee for the parts, so now my car won't be ready until Wednesday, May 6th, this is too much.
This is not your problem I know but just thought you may want to know what kind of service we really get from them, and the fact that I have admired you for the past 20 years.
If by chance you did read this I want to than you in advance, and you may want to let *** know about this. According to my service guy they are like this all the time, Car Shield I mean.
Again, thank you, and may God Bless you!
We appreciate you bringing this to our attention. CarShield is happy to address your concerns and help in the resolution of this matter.

I DO NOT recommend these people. After my car sat at the car 2 weeks, they drug their feet on everything, they were almost impossible to get in touch with and crazy hold times. They promised call backs I never received. They claimed an inspector had to come to check out my car (for a ac compressor) in order for it to be approved. After missing days from work because I’m an essential worker I was forced to pick my car up because the inspector never showed on the day I was told. They refused to give me a refund even though I’m paying them for a service I never got. My car was never fixed. WORSE company ever!!!!!!!

I had Carshield for 8 months... $800 in... I had a problem with valve seals leaking oil into the combustion cylinder... a $900 repair which Carshield refused to cover because it wasn't "on the list"... why not??? There are hundreds of problems they won't cover so I recommend you put that monthly payment in a "self insurance" account and don't waste your money with the corrupt and dishonest company! I also lost another $125 to KIA for a diagnostic test that would have applied to the repair... Thanks for nothing Carshield! It's a ***!
We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and look forward to help in the resolution of this matter.
We have reached out to your service contract administrator for information on the repair claim you have referenced.
According to your administrator, there was never a claim filed on your behalf. They received a call on October 10, 2019 regarding an airbag light that was on and a a problem with your intake manifold. These components are not listed as covered in your service contract terms.
Your service contract was cancelld as you requested on November 19, 2019.

My vehicle is currently in the shop due to my engine being bad and having metal shavings in the engine. My vehicle was taken to the shop and an inspector came out to review the engine and stated that it did indeed have metal shavings in the engine and it needed to be replaced. Car shield stated that they will not cover my engine because I drove my vehicle with the check engine light on for over 900 miles. That was false I have all documentation stating that each time my vehicle had trouble or if a light came on it was towed To a maintenance facility and I have all maintenance records showing that the vehicle has been kept up and is up to date with all maintenance. CarShield is not wanting to cover my engine which is not right due to a defect in my vehicleThe check engine light was not present to let me know there was a problem in my vehicle I went off of how my vehicle reacted while driving and took it to be serviced and this is when I found out my vehicle engine was bad. Also each time I called CarShield to speak with a supervisor I was hung up on each time.

I am rejecting this response because: I never had a code or a P001 code was never read on my vehicle I take my vehicle to be serviced any time something is wrong with it a history code means nothing when I am not alerted of failure within the vehicle I never had a check engine light nor did my check engine light come on prior to me taking it in to the service center this time which is why I feel Like my claim should be paid in full for my entire engine not just for a timing chain. I am still wanting to know how am I supposed to know that my vehicle is failing or have a failure if I am not able to tell if there is a code on my dash or not if it does not come up. I am not able to tell if my engine or anything else is failing if I’m never alerted by any lights on my dash or if the vehicle acts funny or not.

My check engine light came on. I literally drove around the corner to the Ford garage. I needed a new motor and rear end. They refused to pay for the motor due to "continued use ". I had nowhere to pull over and was not going to sit in the middle of the street waiting for them to answer my call, which took 30 minutes, when the garage was right around the corner! Rip off. That is not true. When I had a probablem with it STALLING in July I had the cam synchronizers changed.
They don’t even deserve one star . In February I put my car in the shop . I was told the front head needed to be changed. Car shield sent an inspector. Then they said the shop needed to take it apart. The shop did everything that was asked of them . They sent another inspector , after about two week of the car sitting in the shop bay he showed up. That inspector approved the head to be changed. When my shop gave them the price , car shield told them they are going to shop around for a better price . We didn’t hear back from them , So after a week the shop called, they then told the shop they want the head tested at a machine shop . I spoke with 4 supervisors and made numerous calls . I got the run around. So needless to say after paying car shield on time every time, I going to have to pay a $3000 myself because I need my car back. I believe that’s their game it’s to make it so hard , that you have no choice but to pay for it yourself Horrible company. Shame on Car Shield ! Please do not use them !!
Transactions: 01/18/20 $129.99, 02/15/20 $129.99, 03/17/20 $129.99, 04/17/20 $129.99
Dispute: Fraudulent services/ Services not rendered
I am disputing 4 transactions to Carshield. The company is a scam and fraudulently lied about services that I was purchasing.
On January 17, 2020, I called Carshield to ask about their services which I had seen on TV and mailers. I spoke with *** and asked what all did Carshield cover? He told me that the Gold policy would cover everything, from total Transmissions, Engines, Front and Rear suspensions, locks, ac, window. I was a little worried but *** reassured me again that everything is covered and that if I purchased the Gold package cover all the component he told me about for $129.99 per month. *** told me he would even mail me a hard copy of the policy by mail and also send me an email with the policy attach to it, but not to worry. I told him I needed it mailed because I’m older and I really don’t use email or things like that. *** assured that wouldn’t be a problem and that everything is covered and it’s really a good policy. I figured that as I am getting older, it would be best to enroll in this so that I won’t have to be worried if something ever expectantly happens to my car. My car is getting older but I love it and it’s in pristine condition and has a lot of sentimental value, so it would be best if I get a warranty for it.
I took out the plan starting January 18, 2020. I paid again on February 15, 2020, March 17, 2020 and April 17, 2020.
After 3 weeks I call back February 10, 2020, and again requested a copy of my policy and again I was promised it would be mailed to me, it would take 10-15 days to get it. I spoke with agent *** ext. #14067 who would not give me the spelling of her name. I asked for her supervisor and she put me on hold for 30 minutes. Then she came back and said her supervisor was busy and all she could give me was her extension. *** got upset with me because I told her I needed to validate this policy to see if it was what *** said it would be. That I kept being promised my policy would be mailed out to me and it had yet to be done.
I called back again on March 1, 2020 and spoke with agent Will and again he apologized and said he would mail it out and it would take 10-15 days for me to get a hard copy mail. After not receiving anything by mail, my daughter checked my email and saw that I received an email on March 2,2020, but there was no policy in it as the link in the email wouldn’t open. When I paid my bill 4-17-2020 I asked the agent again about the policy and she said she would note my account about it and check on it for me.
Then in late April 2020, my Cadillac Deville started leaking water. On April 27th, I took it to *** to have it checked out because I knew it shouldn’t be leaking as I had the Radiator replaced and warrantied back in February 2019. This time I paid $140 for them to look at it. It took a few days, but I was finally told by *** with *** that the engine needed to be replaced as it was the engine heads that was actually the problem. I called Carshield as during this pandemic is the absolutely worst time to have car engine issues. Carshield told me not to worry just take to shop and have them to call us directly, so they could start a claim.
Both I and *** from *** called to file a claim on 5/1/2020. The claim examiner, ***, called me back at 5:56 pm saying the claim is denied because head gaskets are not covered. *** explained that this is the engine and when the claim was started they repeated that the engine was covered. *** repeated that it wasn’t covered. I explain what I was told by Carshield when I took out the policy. He told me I had to take that up with Carshield, so apparently my policy is not even with Carshield even though I have been paying them my hard earned monies. I couldn’t believe it. I asked *** for this information in writing and he refused.
I called Carshield on Monday 5/4/2020, and talked to *** who was very very rude to me. *** very rudely said they are not responsible because they only read the script they are given. This has been an absolute nightmare at the worst possible time to be scammed. I thought I was doing a good thing getting a warranty. But boy was I wrong. And what a bad time to be wrong and find out I’d been scammed. This pandemic is scary and so uncertain and now on top of everything else my car is having problems.
I tried explaining all of this to *** and asked is this why I was never provided the actual policy? I kept getting the run around just like I am now. I need my car fixed and I have been paying. *** said they could not help get my car repaired. I then asked what am I paying for? This is not right. *** said it was not their fault that they just read from a script they are told to read. I then asked for my money back as this is a scam and fraud. *** said they could not refund me my money back either. I asked to speak with a supervisor about this matter. Again I was refused. *** said no, that all she could do is put in a request for a supervisor to call me back in 24 to 48 hours. As of this day I have not had a call back. Not giving me a policy after numerous calls I made to Carshield to get my policy mailed to me. This a fraudulent act on Car Shield part!!! I have also with the help of my daughter filed a complaint. I do not know how they are in business. My daughter looked into them and told me that they are a scam, but I had no idea.
I called back several more times and have yet to speak to supervisor or get a call back, or any resolution at all.
I have tried multiple times to resolve this with Carshield and they have not tried to help or do anything other than lie, steal my money, and give me the run around. I never received a policy and I have included a copy of the email and screen that does not work. Carshield is committing fraud and stealing from good people.
I also included a copy of the service sheet from ***.
Thanks
We appreciate the opportunity to help in the resolution of this matter. We have contacted your service contract administrator, American Auto Shield, to obtain information on the repair claim you have referenced. American Auto Shield (AAS) stated that you had taken your vehicle to the repair shop for a failed radiator. Your repair facility then stated that you needed to have your engine replaced. AAS also discovered that you had your radiator replaced within the last year and it is still under warranty. The cause of failure regarding your engine was attributed to failed head gaskets. This component is not listed as eligible for coverage under your contract terms. We have noted that that you requested cancellation of your contract on May 4, 2020. We will refund your payments in full as a gesture of goodwill and in good faith to resolve your complaint.Respectfully,Customer Relations CarShield is here to address your concerns. I got this extended warranty company and have paid for it. I fulfilled the prerequisite, I needed service. I took it in. I have a BMW. I reported it to BMW and they told me to bring in. I did. I told them I had Carshield and they would be in contact with them. Carshield approved the repairs first, then denied it. They did this three times after the BMW mechanic supervisor spoke them about the issues my car was having. They finally said that they were denying the claim because they said I reported the mileage wrong (which I didn't do). They have a recorded phone call with me and the salesperson where I waited to sign up until I had the requisite mileage so that I would be covered. The work had already been started because they initially approved the work. I had paid $135.00 (only one month's coverage). I have also incurred costs for a rental car that was initially approved, and now I have to pay for it because the claim was then denied. As of today it is $275.00. They are working on the car now and I will provide an itemized detail of the work and the cost incurred.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We are happy to look into this for you and assist in the resolution of this matter.
We have contacted your service contract administrator on your behalf to obtain information on the repair claim you have referenced. Your contract administrator stated the following:
Your contract was purchased on April 9, 2020 with reported mileage of 176,326. Records from a licensed emissions inspection facility, reported on CarFax, dated April 20, 2019, show mileage was 179,734 on that date, which is greater than the miles reported on the contract purchase date.Your repair facility reported your vehicle mileage was 182,306 on May 1, 2020.Given the mileage discrepancy reported at contract purchase date, we completed a standard calculation to estimate actual mileage at contract purchase date, which was 182,156.Please note that your contract Declarations page requires a waiting period of 20 days and 500 miles before a repair claim would be eligible for submission and review. This fact was also stated by the representative you spoke with at the time you purchased your service contract. Please refer to Section D of your contract, which states:D. EXCLUSIONSThe following items are NOT covered by this CONTRACT:q. PRE-EXISTING CONDITIONS THAT EXISTED PRIOR TO THE LATER OF YOUR CONTRACT PURCHASE DATE OR CONTRACT EFFECTIVE DATE AS LISTED ON YOUR DECLARATIONS PAGE AND THE COMPLETION OF YOUR WAITING PERIOD….As of the date of your claim, May 1, 2020, your vehicle has only driven 150 miles. Based upon the above contract exclusion, your contract does not provide coverage for this claim as it occurred during the waiting period.
Thank you for the opportunity to address your concerns.

I HAVE TRIED SEVERAL TIMES CONTACTING EXTENDED WARRANTY AND NO LUCK. THEY ARE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND DON’T REALLY CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS, THE TIMES THAT I HAVE SPOKEN WITH A REP THEY QUESTION MY INTEGRITY ABOUT THE REPAIRS. WHICH I KNOW ITS ABOUT THE MONEY FACTOR ON SUCH A BIG CLAIM. HOPEFULLY SOMETHING CAN BE DETERMINED SOON, LOOK FORWARD IN SPEAKING WITH YOU HOPEFULLY WITH GOOD NEWS !
Also it’s a copy of my insurance on the BMW, they said that it was only 150 driven on the car when clearly in their message they state the car had 179,734. When I turned it in for repair it was 182,306. Which is 2,572 miles. I bought my policy with them April 9, 2020 a day after I got insurance April 8, 2020 in the car so the car wasn’t driven prior to that because it wasn’t insured. So it was clear that I have way more than 150 miles after signing up for their coverage !

In April or May of 2019, I purchased a warranty from CarShield for my 2005 VW Beetle Convertible. When I spoke with the agent about the different types of warranties, I decided to go with the best one, which was bumper to bumper coverage with a $100 deductible. I made sure that my car was going to be covered if anything regarding the engine, air conditioning, transmission, etc. was going to be covered with just the $100 deductible. In April 2020, my air conditioning stopped blowing cold air. I let my husband look at it and he thought it was the compressor. I contacted CarShield and they said I could take it to any mechanic of my choosing and it would be covered under my warranty with the $100 deductible. On Monday, April 27th, I took my car to "Bring Your Own Parts". They have done great work for us on our other vehicle and I trust their assessment of my vehicle. They called me to tell me that it was my compressor along with the condenser. The total for parts and labor was $2063.00. They contacted CarShield to tell them what was wrong and how much it would be. CarShield wanted to ship the parts (which I found out only had a year warranty and were substandard). My mechanic said the parts they had were a lifetime warranty and the parts would be there immediately. By this time, the inspector for CarShield had to come inspect the car and make sure what my mechanic said was wrong was correct. A week later CarShield stated they would only pay $1300.00. My part was not $100 deductible. I had to pay $763.00. I was furious. I was lied to by CarShield. You have to use their parts and they didn't pay for the entire bill like they stated they would when I signed up for their warranty. I have since cancelled my warranty with them and I want $663.00 returned. I'll pay the deductible of $100.00.
We have contacted your service contract administrator on your behalf to obtain information on the repair claim you have referenced. American Auto Shield authorized the repair of your vehicle using parts they agreed to provide, in the amount of $1,389.93. This amount was paid to your repair facility on May 8, 2020. As noted your contract terms, " at the administrator's election, repair or replacement of covered parts will be made with parts of like kind and quality... "American Auto Shield spoke with you on May 4, 2020 and explained the part and labor cost difference. Your out of pocket expenses were addressed at that time and you agreed to move forward with repair as stated.Again, your claim was paid in the amount of 1389.93 on May 8, 2020. If you have any additional questions or concerns regarding this claiim, please contact American Auto Shield directly *** or at the address listed in your contract terms, and they will be happy to assist you. purchased this policy. listening to the recommendation of mark Levine. paid policy for 4/5 months. filed a claim, they sent inspector out. inspector checked the oil in engine and said it was half filled and oil was black. however, engine did not seize and kept turning over. However, the noise engine is making is due to negligence and not up keeping the engine. lol. after providing records that oil was changed. new adjuster then said the car looks like it was inoperable and sitting for months and warranty was placed on it after car died. provided them w toll receipts and invoices of work done to car a month before. then adjuster said oh yea it was operable but still denied due to lack of oil. THIS COMPANY LOOKS FOR EVERY POSSIBLE REASON NOT TO PAY AND WHEN THEY Can’t FIND ONE THEY MAKE ONE UP!!!!!!!!! STAY AWAY. NOW LOOKING FRO A LAWYER TO SUE THEM.

This company is a fraud when my car broke down I had my car towed into the shop they refuse to fix it after having my car at that shop for 14 days they said I should’ve heard a sound which is crazy the mechanic said there’s no way you would hear sound but they denied my claim but this is normal practice for them I’m finding out too late , do not purchase their warranty contract from Carshield.

I called in to simply cancel. I told the rep that I did not desire to have her address my concerns and yet I was forced into a phone call that lasted about 15-20 minutes when the cancellation could have been taken care of in less than 5 minutes. The rep was pushy and insisted that I let her address my concerns even after I told her desired to not speak of any concerns and that there is nothing she could sat to change my mind. I was forced to let her talk to me and was told this is your company policy which is horrible. So know I will tell anyone that is thinking of joining you that if they decide to cancel you will make it difficult and the rep will be rude while doing so. I was to the point where I was cursing and the rep still continued to try and make me listen to her. So word to the wise whenever you wanna cancel be ready to have to basically argue or be forced to listen to them try and make you change your mind.
