I have received multiple letters indicating my name and on each letter I'm mailed states that my vehicle (each letter states a different vehicle) on their records indicate that my factory warranty has expired. I have never owned any vehicle stated in letters.

I got a policy with this business 13 months ago and it took the 8 months to finally send me the booklet about my policy. Their customer service barely answers the phone and when they do they are rude and do not return phone calls. My car has been in the shop for 3 weeks and they are giving me the run around about repairing my engine. The mechanic has told them the cause of my engine failure but Carshield is requiring that they tear down my engine prior to deciding if they will cover the issue. If the reason for my engine failure is not one what carshield wishes to cover I will be responsible for the $1000 tear down as well as the repairs.
We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and the opportunity to respond.
We mailed and emailed you a copy of your service contract when you initially purchased it on 7/17/2018. You requested we mail another copy on 11/19/2018. A reprint was processed and mailed at that time. You contacted us again on March 18, 2019 to update your credit card. You requested another copy of your contract be mailed. A reprint was processed and mailed that same day to the address you provided. Again on 7/24/2019 we mailed another copy to you.
Your service contract administrator requested your repair facility provide identified cause of failure through diagnosis. You stated that you did not want to authorize diagnosis to cause of failure and requested cancellation of your service contract.
This is a month to month, pay as you go service contract. Much like car insurance, you are in active coverage and renewed each month and can keep as long as you renew payment each month or cancel at any time.

I have had my car in the shop for 3 days and this company continues to give me a run around regarding engine issues that are stated as covered in my extended warranty. I get excuse after excuse.
We have contacted your service contract administrator, American Auto Shield, on your behalf regarding the claim you have referenced. They have stated that the part needed to fix your Ford Escape has been delivered to your repair facility and they should be working on completing the repair of your vehicle.

We just hear back from the service contract administrator and they received info back from their parts department that the shop has the part but the customer removed the vehicle before it could be installed. On the 13th of September of 2019 I called carshield to cancel my policy I had with them based on the horrible quality of service I recieved from them when my car broke down and I had to get it fixed. While on the phone I explained to the customer service representative how horrible the service they provided me was and that I wanted to cancel my policy. They then tried to get me to change my mind about canceling my service and they were going to try to to see if they could recipe some of the extra money I had to pay out to my mechanic because carshield would not cover what they said they would cover. After about 5 mins of me declining their help and still wanting to canceling my coverage they told me that they would go ahead and cancel it and stop all future automatic payments which one was supposed to be taken out on the 15th on September. I thanked her for her time and I hung up. When I looked on the 16th at my bank account I saw that a payment had been taken out carshield. I called them back to inquire as to why a payment had been taken out on what I thought was a canceled policy. The representative I talked to said she would look into it and put me on hold and came back a few minutes later and said she could not get any information about why my policy was not canceled on the 13th unless she reviewed the recorded tape of the call I made on the 13th and she did not want to put me on hold for that long. She then tried to convince me not to cancel my policy again and I told them that I want them to go ahead with canceling my policy and to reverse the payment they just took out of me. She then said I can put the recent payment under review. But couldn't promise that I would get it back.

What is the amount of refund you are seeking? I want my car repaired and I would like to be reimbursed for my rental car cost because from the advertisement I'm not suppose to be paying anything out of pocket.
I paid the warranty off and no longer have payments and they still will not help me. If I would have known that it was going to be like this I could have kept the money I paid them all these years. Currently I'm still having to pay for my vehicle and the rental and things are hard because I really can't afford it but I need transportation
We are not showing you have an active service contract with CarShield.
We do show we spoke with you on December 19, 2018 about the possibility of purchasing an extended service contract through CarShield. You stated you had a current policy with CarGuard and wanted to keep it. You did not purchase with us.
If you have your service contract handy, look at what company is listed under Administrator. That is the company that would be responsible for any repair claims submitted. The company listed under Marketer is who sold you the policy.
If you can provide us with your VIN number, we would be happy to check our records again. However, we show no active service contract under your name or the phone numbers you have provided.

I had 2 major problems with my car They wouldn't cover anything. Dont waste your money. No communication. If you wanted to find out anything about your claim you had to call a number where you would never speak to the same person. Horrible experience with this company
Your first claim was for a leaking seal. Your power train gold service contract terms have no stand alone coverage for leaking seals and gaskets. Your second claim was also for a failed seal in the hub. Your service contract administrator offered part sourcing to help with the cost of your repairs.
I purchased an auto warranty policy for a used vehicle a few weeks after I bought my new, used, Chevy Tahoe. I called CarShield and let them know I purchased and used vehicle, and the sales agent aggressively sold me a policy -almost $96 dollars a month for nearly a year - Additionally, I did let the Insurance Sales Agent know that I was disabled, etc, and that this was a 16 year old truck, but it had extremely low miles and the previous owner had taken good care of it. I, unfortunately just moved from Florida to Virginia and did have some mechanical issues - and needed to file a claim. When I did, I guess because it was such a large claim, my policy was canceled, because I had there were parts modified on the truck. Well, when I bought the truck, it came like that. The repair facility let your service contract administrator know that you had an aftermarket supercharger on your Tahoe along with a B&M built transmission unit. These modifications, per your service contract terms, void your coverage.

To the Revdex.com, you all need to make sure the site is sending out notifications to consumers when their case is updated. If I hadn't personally thought to check on my case, you all would've thought that I just chose not to answer.
I purchase coverage because it was the only way to see the actual coverage. I called about a month after to cancel, but the constant pressure of the agent made me just end the call snd agree that I will receive a follow up call from them about canceling. I work from 7-5, when tjey call, I was at work. When I tried calling at 6 eastern time but it kept telling me rhey were closed, even though my contract states that cust service is open until 6pm central time. I kept trying ti call and another rep told me that the schedule has been changed. Then on top of that, We had s hurricane here on the first week of Sept, I had to deal with safety preparations for my family and work and I could not call them before the 60 days. I finally took some time off today to call them during they hrs. And they agent was still persistent on not cancelling, but finally accepted my request. After explaining the situation, he refused to refund any money even thou I never had a claim with them. If a customer wishes to cancel, they should not waste its time by keep pushing their product. unfortunately, I cant use the phone while at work and by sending an email only refers me to customer service again. They should not state that they are open if they changed their hours. Customers should notified

I signed up with Carshield believing that they would give me peace of mind. After further investigation I discovered that Carshield was not going to work for me. I did not have 2 years worth of maintenance receipts since I had bought the car used and the previous owner did not provide any receipts. I also do my own maintenance most of the time and I wasn't keeping receipts. After reading all the complaints I realized Carshield was never going to honor my request, when I had a problem, because of this. I honorably called them up a little over a month after signing up, and after 2 payments had been made, requesting a full refund. I explained that Carshield was not going to work for me for the previously stated reasons. It's been over 2 months now and they have not given me my full refund. I have made about 4 calls and they did give me a partial refund, but not the full amount yet. If this company had any integrity it would honorably REFUND ME THE FULL AMOUNT, especially since NO PRODUCT OR SERVICES WERE EVER RENDERED. I was honest when I told them that this was not going to work for me. I did this to save us both the hassle of getting a claim rejected, if or when my car had a problem. Please do the right thing Carshield.
We have already refunded your initial payment of 89.00 back to *** as of August 16, 2019. This is month to month, pay as you go coverage, much like car insurance. You may cancel at any time, but whether you have submitted a repair claim or not, your coverage was active and in effect, just like car insurance.
We will refund your second payment as a gesture of goodwill and in a good faith effort to resolve your complaint, however.

Hello My Name is ***. I am writing to you today in regard to the Company Car Sheild. I purchased a policy through them for my 2012 Chevy Impala LT the car is in good shape runs good however with winter approaching and living in OHIO things can go wrong with cars. I got the policy a little over 170k miles. After driving for about another month, as I returned home the car made a noise and began to leak fluid. A neighbor of mine standing in his driveway asked me what was wrong since I didn't know he came over and looked under the hood he said it looks like the water pump by the noise and the fluid that was leaking. I wasn't worried because I had carsheild. I called carsheild, they had my car towed to my repair shop. So I was glad to have purchased the policy. Everything was smooth until the Vehicle repair shop vehicle said that the car would need a new engine. It was a water pump issue but due to the fact that it had an internal leak if they were to fix it they couldn't guarantee the work because eventually it will need a new engine the policy that I had Stated that this could be covered. However when I contacted car shield back after speaking with the repair shop they said it wouldn't be covered because it was right outside the policy window waiting period from the purchase of the policy. I then called them again after being put on more hold time they stated to me that. I needed to provide them records of maintenance of maintenance to the car. I provided the records of maintenance like they asked. Then they sent me an email stating my policy was cancelled . I called to find out why. Carsheild told me that my policy was cancel because of the discrepancy in the mileage. They told me the mileage was given by me. I know for a fact I gave them the correct miles a 170 plus miles. Because I was sitting in the car. I gave them the correct mileage,the person putting in the claim put a 178000 plus miles. That mileage he he put in was over what I told him but when I called they told me that they graded the call and I told them a 178000. I don't see how I could have told them a 178000 miles when I was sitting in my car reading it off of the dash. As my issue hadn't been resolved. I then was told to call *** who was the admin who cancelled the policy although they get their information from car shield. I then called to talk to the people at *** they told me to call back to
Car Shield after about the issue not being resolved going on 3 weeks. I called and asked speak to upper management. I was told that they already related the messages to customer service. They were just going to tell me the same thing, there's nothing that they can do the policy is cancelled that I had and I didn't have coverage they would not pay to fix my car. I asked to speak to someone over management. I was told there was no one eIse I could speak to. So now I'm turning ing to you. The News. I've been given the run around I was given the name of the head of a customer service *** and a number that he could be reached. I was told to call the number and he deal with me directly. When I called the number back it was car shield another, just another car shield rep Maddie trying to explain to me that there is nothing that they can do they already got the information from ***. She then tried to sell me a different car sheild plan for pre existing conditions to a car. I insisted on speaking to ***. She told me *** was not available I asked her who was over *** she told me the president of the company whose name is Stephen but whose last name she was unable to give me. I was informed by Mattie he doesn't speak to the public. So I am really unsatisfied now. I decided to do some research, after doing some research. I found several complaints about Car Shield and dissatisfied customers who lost money. Some of them were the same situations as as mine a discrepancy over a 0 and 8 when the mileage was recorded or so they say at the time of policy. I feel like I've been given the run around they don't want to pay for my car they did refund the amount of the 2nd car shield payment however they didn't refined the 1st payment. I really would like help to just get my car fixed all I was asking for was for them to honor the contract that I have and paid for. These companies make millions of dollars off of low income middle class people who can't afford to get something fixed on a car when it's serious and then they turn around and pull the carpet from underneath them and put them in bad or worse predicaments. I told the lady that I was unhappy. I would be placing a Revdex.com report complaint a consumer report complaint and I will call the news stations and if need be. I would have to find an attorney. I want my car fixed. But now I feel there a bigger picture here, how many other people have the cheated (scammed) out of hard working dollars. I would love for you to shed light on this situation. This is when I will be satisfied. If you guys can help me with this it would be great. I'm not the only consumer if you do research on it you'll see many a people who have lost out on money they paid in for car shield and their cars haven't been fixed a company like this shouldn't be able to get away with this. I've never seen them in the news but maybe this will be a wake up call for them to do better business practices

We reviewed the call when you purchased your service contract on August 5, 2019. When asked your mileage you stated it was 178,074. When your vehicle was towed in to the repair facility 3 days out of the waiting period, the mileage was 170,084.
*** shows mileage, just 2 days before your purchased your service contract, at 170,083. So your vehicle has not been driven since you purchased your service contract and you had it towed in to the repair facility with failures pre-existing the effective date of your service contract. As stated in the sales call and in the service contract terms you received; no failures pre existing the effective date of your service contract will be covered.
Your service contract administrator/obligor, ***, has voided your service contract and you are in the process of being refunded in full the 2 payments made. $99.00 has already been refunded to your ***. Your remaining refund of $99.00 will be mailed to the address you have provided. You should receive it within approximately 10-15 days.
If you have any other dispute regarding *** voiding of your service contract, please contact them directly at the address listed under administrator on the first page of your service contract. ***, as your contract administrator, has full authority over repair claim procedures, approvals and denials. August 2 I called and cancelled my policy.carshield commented the I did not complete the call on that date.On that date I was told the policy was cancelled and that no charges were going to occur because the first payment was due after the 3rd.this is September now and I emailed another cancel request.I then talked to a repesentive that said my refund was processed.August and September payment have been deducted from my account now.then I get a call from rep that said a supervisor reviews my call and would not refund the payments that were deducted for August and September but my policy has been cancelled now.so now I'm out my money for the 2 months and that I will not get a refund.this is terrible.I'm on disability and feel I've been taken advantage of

This place must be a joke. I submitted to get a free quote and received a call back about half an hour later. This guy was a very high pressure sales person which I did not enjoy at all. I was clear to him, after he would not stop pressuring to buy NOW, that I would go over the “sample” policy with my wife this weekend and there was no way I would buy today. Well, I guess this was not worth his valuable time because he hung up on me.

Car Shield is a ripoff. My car was in the shop for almost 3 weeks and they refuse to pay the repair cost they only paid for the part nothing on the labor because they said the repair shop was charging too much. That’s not what they sell .
Your repair claim was paid in the amount of $862.96. This was the amount paid after your 100.00 deductible was subtracted. Your service contract administrator shows shop's labor estimate was 475.00 and 460.54 was paid. Parts were estimated at 503.00 and 502.42 was paid.
DO NOT BUY THE EXTENDED COVERAGE FROM CAR SHIELD!!! They paid for services for my vehicle ONE time. Then turned around and have denied another claim. Stating that they wouldn’t cover it because it was commercial use. They knew it was a right hand drive mail delivery vehicle when I got the extended warranty (and by the VIN #) because I told the rep. I delivered the mail. I spent $3500 on this and now they want $400-$600 more for “commercial coverage”, but they still won’t fix this claim because it was already denied. In 3 years I have had one claim I still have 2 years left in my contract and they won’t fix anything else. Because of the negligence of the person selling the contract I’m now out $3500 and have been without my WORK vehicle for 1 week and counting.

I have an account with this company. The told me to take my car to the dealership. The dealership called them to tell them what was wrong with the car. This has happened twice. The first time they didn't answer the phone. The second time Carshield wanted me to pay for the diagnostic test. Again they didn't answer the phone. It was throwing a couple of motor codes. Because Carshield didn't answer the phone when the dealership called, I took the car home. I called Carshield, and got some other names of who they work with. When I called those shops, they said they had trouble with Carshield. These shops wouldn't take the car because of Carshield.
Over 9 million dollars in covered repairs have been paid in the last 3 months alone. We do not understand why the repair facilities you have mentioned would not accept your service contract.
However, your service contract has already been cancelled as you requested and you are in the process of being refunded in full. 79.00 has already been refunded to your *** and the remainder of your refund should reach you by mail in approximately 10 business days.

BAD---- DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!! Company does not honor Their policies. Had a 170K coverage & they decided that at 110Kmi the head gasket problem was "wear " so wouldn't cover it. Their fault we had to buy a new truck rather than them just fix the problem on the existing one. Atty reviewing & said he has heard alot of negative about this company & has filed against them for other people a few times & won .
Please contact your service contract provider/obligor, ***a, with any dispute regarding your repair claim. They have full authority over claim procedures and will be able to address any concerns you have. Also see the arbitration section (J) of your service contract for dispute resolution.

Car Shield is advertising false Ads about their coverages & Deceptive Consumer Marketing
I Bought AUTO WARRANTY insurance on two of my cars BMW & Mercedes Benz , My Mercedes Benz check engine light came on, I had my vehicle towed into ***. I Advised them I have Auto Warranty with Car shield and my deductible would only be $100.00.
I advised my service Advisor *** to call Car shield after he and the mechanic discuss their findings used the diagnostic computer analysis to find out what was wrong with the car, that my engine needs to be replaced.
He was told by my warranty company Car Shield would like *** to perform a further tear down of the engine for confirmation of the repairs and send pictures and I will be responsible for tear down cost of $1,900.00.
When I purchased this warranty, I was advised in event of my vehicle have a mechanical issue dealing with the engine or transmission would be covered under my car shield insurance warranty and I would have to pay the repair shop of choice $100.00 deductible.
I was not aware of any other out of pocket expenses, including the diagnostic analysis or tear down costs.
I have been in a rental car since June 18, 2019, my rental car expense occurred is $1700 to date.
My warranty contract with Car Shield specifically states they will reimburse for Rental Car expenses, They have failed to do so.
Car Shield is false advertising their warranty coverages including the t100.00 deductible, that's only if they approve the claim, which is not mentioned in their advertisements on T.V. or by the salesman, but you can not find out want is wrong with your car if you do not have the diagnostic analysis1.
Car shield's claims dept was so slow, I waited 1 hour and 22 minutes on hold finally a recording came on and said if you would like us to call you back please leave your phone number and someone will get back to you in 15-20 minutes, I never got a call back.
My Service Advisor then called me and said he had been on the phone trying to get through to the claims dept for hours! I need your help because I think Car Shield is a SCAM!

This is a total scam!!! I was told on the phone that all major issues would be covered (that normal maintenance like oil changes won't be, which is understandable). I was also told that all rental cars would be covered! My car is in the shop because I smelled oil burning, and what is now going to be 3 days with a rental car and over $1500 in repairs, I was told my claim will not be approved, and because no claim is open my rental can isn't covered either. This is total . The fine print in the contract is absurd, total scam.
The Powertrain Gold Service Contract your vehicle qualified for does not cover leaking seals and gaskets, per your contract terms. Rental car reimbursement is made for covered repairs. It is not in effect for parts not listed as covered.
