Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We appreciate the opportunity to look into this for you.
We have contacted your service contract administrator on your behalf to obtain information on your claim. Your claims administrator does need to have the repair shop find the cause of failure so they can determine if the failure is covered under your contract terms. You did not want to authorize the teardown to cause of failure.
We have notes in your file that you have requested cancellation of your service contract. Your contract has been cancelled as you requested and we will refund the 3 payments you have made into your service contract in a good faith effort to resolve your complaint.

I have a 2006 Jeep Commander that I have a Warranty with CarShield Contract# ***. I have been paying my warranty payments on time until I was denied service. CarShield advertises that I can choose my own mechanic, dropped the vehicle off and not have to worry and the repairs will be paid for. This is far from the truth. I dropped my vehicle off for repair to my Transmission and have met nothing but resistance for the needed repairs. The mechanic has informed the adjuster for CarShield of the issues with the vehicle but CarShield is looking for any excuse to not pay for the repairs. When the customer is meeting their end of the contract, why is such a problem for CarShield to meet it's contractual obligation.
We have contacted your service contract administrator, ***, to request information on the repair claim you have referenced, on your behalf. *** denied your repair claim because no failure could be demonstrated. Your vehicle was taken on two road tests totaling 19 miles. There was no issue or failure demonstrated to the transmission, whatsoever. The transmission operated as designed with no slipping or missed shifts.
Your service contract administrator cannot authorize a repair when no failure can be demonstrated.
If you would like to cancel your service contract, we will issue you a prorated refund, per your contract terms. Or, you can retain your service contract for future covered repairs. Your service contract does not expire until 9/19/2022 or 170,356 miles.
Please let us know how you would like us to proceed.

They blew my phone up with 8 calls. When I picked up, I got some Q&A with them. After speaking her for a bit, I decided not to proceed. the lady was very very pushy. I said no 4 times and she just kept pushing. I hung up and block this company. Will never use them
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will review the call you have mentioned and take any appropriate action needed.
They turned down my claim on my vehicle after it being in the repair shop for a month. They never return calls and always give you the run around.
We appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We have contacted your repair facility to obtain information on the repair claim you have referenced.
***, your service contract administrator, has stated that the inspection of your vehicle shows failure for EGT Sensor bank 1, and EGT sensor bank 2. These sensors and the oil cooler issue are not covered under your contract terms. If you have any further questions regarding this repair claim, please contact your service contract administrator, ***, at ***. They will be able to fully address any claims related inquires or dispute (section M of your service contract)
We have notes in your file that you have requested cancellation of your service contract. Your contract has been cancelled as you requested. You are being refunded the 3 payments you have made into your service contract as a gesture of goodwill.

Your company assured me it was covered. You also took so long with a response, I have been without my truck for months.

I am rejecting this response because: I was enrolled over the phone by a representative that set up monthly payments knowing I didn't qualify for repairs . They sign people up eventhough they don't qualify- abusing the consumer is not good business.

I got extended warranty with Carshield and 30 days after I got it, my A/C went out. They refused to oppay, saying ut was pre existing problem, whick it wasn't. It was over 10 day waiting period. They had no problem taking my $109.00/month.
My monthly payment to this business was $109. I am seeking a refund for two month's payment, which totals $218. I purchased the warranty on June 4th, 2019 and notified Carshield about the AC issue on July 5th, 2019.
We appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We have contacted your claims administrator regarding the repair claim you have mentioned. They stated that the failure where the fitting is soldered onto the condenser, was found by inspection to have pre existed the effective date of your service contract and cannot be covered under the contract terms.
Your service contract has been cancelled as you requested and you will be refunded in full the 2 payments you have made into your service contract.

Run Away!!!!
I only chose one star because I had to. If it was up to me, they would get nothing. I had coverage where I had to wait 20 days before I could use it. I went on vacation and when I came back and used my car, it started overheating. I called to ask them if my coverage was active and the lady told me it is and she told me the steps I needed to take to get my car fixed. She gave me the number for roadside assistance to use the tow to get my car to the dealership. After I did all of that, I got a loaner car from the dealer since that is also covered in my warranty. I received a call the next day saying that carshield denied my claim and they weren’t going to fix anything because I was still in the waiting period. According to the contract it says that it is effective 20 days from the original contract date which was the 2nd of July. They worded it in a way that there was a play on words and found a loophole to not fix the car. I sent this contract to 7 ppl and each person said that they would’ve taken their car the same day I did, the 22nd of July, because that marks the 20th day. But if you speak to them on the phone, they say AFTER 20 days, but that is not what is worded in the contract. So now my car needs a head gasket, and guess what? They aren’t going to fix it because it’s now considered a “pre existing condition” so basically they got me for 109 and I had to pay for the labor at the dealership, and the rental. I didn’t even use their towing service because the truck driver was trying to charge me 50 dollars upfront to do a service they said was free for up to 75 dollars. I was only going 4 miles away. In the contract it states that roadside assistance is not included in the waiting period but I had access to it. They say the reasoning for that is “the towing company doesn’t have it in their system about the waiting period” so why is it a part of the contract if they don’t have access to it? Because this is all a game and they will find loopholes to not uphold their end of the contract. Those 7 people I sent the contract to, would’ve all done the same thing. Which means that’s over 700 dollars they would receive from customers and nothing would’ve gotten fixed. Don’t waste your time or money. They don’t value you as a customer or else they would put the active date instead of numbers to throw you off. I’m disgusted and I’m cancelling my policy because they’re not going to cover what’s wrong with my car so it’s pointless to keep them. I wrote this same review on *** because everyone needs to know how fraudulent this is
Your vehicle had an engine and radiator failure prior to the effective date of your service contract. Your repair facility submitted the claim for these failures, prior to the effective date of your service contract. No repair claims that occurs prior to the effective date of your service contract are eligible for payment under your contract terms.
Your service contract has been cancelled as you requested and you have been refunded, back to your Mastercard, the one payment you made of $109.00 on 7/25/2019. Mastercard generally takes 3-5 business days to show a credit to your account.
In August of 2018, I had problems with my car. The bill work was very high. With me being retired and of the age of 70, that was high for me. Then I called CarShield and an agent by the name of Darius Walls began to assist me. I told him my problem and he assured me that Car Shield would be right for me because of my age. I tried to use it twice but was denied, saying it was not in my plan. So I decided to cancel and they told me I couldn't get my money back.
I'm looking for a refund of $990.00 from CarShield.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We appreciate the opportunity to respond.
We have contacted your claims administrator to get information on the claims you said have been submitted. They have no record of any repair claims being submitted.
We have notes in your file showing that your have requested cancellation of your month to month service contract. This is a month to month, pay as you go service contract. You pay for the months you are covered; much like car insurance or health insurance. You may keep the service contract as long as you pay for each month's renewal, or you may cancel at any time with no further payments.
Your service contract has been cancelled as you requested.

Requesting assistance from Revdex.com to help me recover money paid to this vehicle warranty company. I have had a financial hardship so I had to cancel which was done on June 24, 2019 by phone. Customer service lady read a script with instructions and said it would take around 20 days but I have not received any refund in my bank account or by mail.
Your service contract was cancelled as you requested and your refund has been mailed to your *** address as of July 29, 2019. You should receive your prorated refund shortly.

I paid into this service beginning in April 2019. By July 2019 I had a "non-critical" check engine light come on in my 2010 BMW 528 xdrive. I took my car to Checkered Flag BMW in Virginia Beach and long story short my service was denied. They said my car stored codes from before the check engine light came on and that there I called to cancel today and spoke to a rep named Jeniffer who did her *** to keep me signed up even to the point of becoming rude.
We see that you spoke with your service contract claims administrator on July 26th and they were able to explain the claim denial to you in detail due to issues that happened with your vehicle before you purchased it used. Your service contract has been cancelled as you requested.
I went to use my coverage after having the policy for over 6 months. They claim to provide rentals but my car was in the shop for over a week and they would only pay for 1 rental day. The reason it was in the shop was because it was waiting on their inspector and then on their parts. Needless to say I tried to cancel my policy as their website says it can be and ended up getting pressured by the representative who said I shouldn't cancel because they fixed my car. It doesn't matter whether my car was fixed, it is my prerogative to cancel for whatever reason.
You had repair claims paid, totaling $703.90.
Your service contract has been cancelled as you requested, as of 5/13/2019.
I tried to cancel my membership and girl on the phone starting talking about my personal information and I told her I just wanted to cancel so she said she had to transfer me to customer service. I waited on hold for a while and had them call me back in order. And then I call back again only to find out customer service was closed after I was transferred .whats going their.
Your service contract was cancelled as you requested when you called into our office on July 24, 2019. You will receive your refund in full for the initial payment you made, by check, approximately 20 days from your cancellation date.
I have had Carshield over a year paying over 130.00 a month. I took my car in for repairs and Catshield covered nothing. I want a refund in full for the entire I had cardshield.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We appreciate the opportunity to respond to and resolve this matter.
We contacted your service contract administrator to obtain information on the repair claim you have referenced. *** stated that you had both tail light gaskets leaking, leaking seals and gaskets are not listed as covered components under your service contract.
*** did pay for replacement of your purge valve, which is listed as a covered component.
We will cancel your service contract as you have requested and issue the prorated refund you are due, minus claims paid. We will waive the cancel fee.

I am rejecting this response because: Carshield indicated the refund would be a prorated amount. I asked for all money to be retuned that as paid on a monthly basis to the company for the past year and a half. I know the one claim that was paid will not be a part of the refund. I need Carshield to state the actual dollar amount of this refund and to still cancel the contract since they cover noting and use misleading practices. I have since cancelled the credit card they were using to bill me so they will need to send a check for the refund but before I can agree carshield will need to give the exact dollar amount of the refund.
Sincerely
prorated refund, per his contact terms, comes to 1110.55. 272.10 in claims were deducted prior to arriving at this amount, and we waived the cancellation fee.
The initial down payment of $150.00 has already been credited back to the *** used ending in 0429 as of 8/2/2019 (*** generally takes 3-5 business days to show a credit to the account) and the remaining refund will be mailed to *** address. The refund should be received in 7-10 business days.

Good morning,
I rejected an offer from Carshield a 2nd time this morning and they went behind the Revdex.com’s back again and sent a refund check for less than they previously stated and not for the amount in dispute. Since I rejected the offer this morning I am unable to attach anything else. I am enclosing a screenshot of the email from CarShield sent this morning before they even heard back from us. Please assist. If arbitration is needed to settle this matter my husband *** and myself are all in.
Sincerely
Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: Once again we are not accepting this unacceptable offer. As I have previously stated the credit card used HAS BEEN CANCELED. I said this on August 2, 2019 when we rejected the first offer. Had CarShield waited for that response instead of going behind the Revdex.com’s back and emailing my husband a 150.00 refund confirmation then CarShield would’ve known the card no longer exist. Check with your accounting department because that refund of 150.00 never happened. Pull the recording of the call where the sales rep lied and used deceitful tactics in order to make a sale. I know call recordings aren’t just used for quality and training purposes. The initial disputed amount of 2,357.28 for the so called contract that was paid thru July 15, 2019 less the 272.10 for the one claim leaves a balance of 2,085.18 which is the amount that needs to be refunded for a so called service that was never provided and misrepresented and this amount needs to be mailed since you do not have a valid credit card on file any longer. If the amount of 2,085.18 is not refunded, then the Revdex.com can start the arbitration process at that point to finally settle this matter. I am including the screenshot of the email CarShield sent to my husband right after I had already rejected the offer on the Revdex.com’s website. I am also enclosing a copy of the confirmation email from our credit card company that shows the card was canceled with the date and time it was canceled.
Sincerely
service contract has been cancelled as he requested. He has been issued a prorated refund, per the contract terms. We have attached a copy of the credit to his ***. This credit has already been issued and we cannot refund this amount a second time. He will need to contact the bank that this credit card was issued through with the reference number listed on the attachment, and the bank will be able to cut him a check for that amount or credit the amount to his new credit card. The issuing back has received the credit we processed. The remainder of his refund was mailed on August 9, 2019 in the amount of 960.55. We respectfully request that this complaint be closed as answered or resolved.Thank you,Customer Relations
We rejected a 2nd offer from CarShield this morning and again same as last week they autocratically try to refund money that was not the disputed amount. My concern is they take it upon themselves to send money out not knowing or caring about the fact that we rejected the offer and that everything at this point should be going thru the Revdex.com. My husband nor I have had any communication with CarShield directly since we started this process thru the Revdex.com. I attached to the rejected offer a copy of the email confirmation from our bank showing the credit card CarShield had on file was canceled last week. I sent a copy of the email CarShield sent trying to send the $150.00 refund last week after they were notified the card was canceled. Now, today after the 2nd offer was rejected CarShield turns around and emails my husband that they supposedly sent a check today for $960.55 today that would give us a remaining disputed balance of $1,124.63, if we need to do an arbitration to settle the matter we are more than willing to do so.

I filled out online questionnaire and was contacted within a few minutes!! Spoke to a representative named Bryce was given a quote for $129 month with a $100 deductible and coverage explained! Told bryce I was shopping around and had a few more calls to make and I own a business and was a member of Revdex.com and would check the reviews on his company and get back to him !! I was then transferred to another representative named Scott who became very high pressure salesman and offered me the same coverage for $79 a month with a $50 deductible!! Told him I was gonna shop around for a few hours and get back to him and he became somewhat rude with an attitude and stated fine if you call back later it will cost the $129 as that was a one time offer !!! Wow ?? scott further stated that your company receives 30,000 calls a month as if to say my business with your company is not important and I am just a number and $$$$$$ to your company!!! Shame on you all for doing business this way !!!!! If I ran my business like this I would be bankrupt ???? I hope you will take me off your call list as I will never do business with this sort of company with these tactics and lack of respect for prospective new clients!!!!! Again shame on you all !!!!!!!!!!!!
We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and will review the call you have mentioned. We apologize if the representative you spoke with was anything less than polite and informative.
Horrible customer service. Every rep gives a different answer to questions. Their auto pay vendor Paylink charges late payment fees for payments that were not late and CarShield will not get my fee back. No time to waste with people who don't really want your business. 4 phone calls on one night is too much wasted time. I cancelled my polucy.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We have cancelled your service contract as you have requested and you will receive a full refund of the monies you have paid into your contract.
How do I know that will happen? No one has even asked for specifics regarding this review. If this response is legitimate then CarShield should be providing full details via email about how much is being refunded and when.
CAVEAT EMPTOR;NO SERVICE NO REFUND /ONE STAR IS ONE TO MANY
I guess cl 600s are too expensive to repair.
You purchased an AutoGoldCard repair negotiation membership. This service, as explained, offers you experienced adjusters who will negotiate with your repair facility to reduce the cost of your auto repairs. We have cancelled your membership as you have requested and we will issue you a refund of the monies you have paid into your membership.
Horrible customer service rep. My true rating is 0 stars. I pray the entire company's customer service team does not display such disrespect to other consumers. I called to inquire and obtain options for my car. Everything was going well until I said that I would think things over and call back. This is when things went left, with the rep/agent talking over me, addressing me in such a rude and condescending manner. I am one who champions excellent and respectful customer service. Therefore, I then expressed to the gentleman to please take a moment and listen to your customer. He then stated, "you are not a customer," and I had to therefore agree and decline my further interest in pursuing a future relationship with this company. I'm so glad I did not make a commitment, and I'm so appreciative of the reviews previously posted, as I too had the same unfortunate experience. I feel as though I dodged a bullet.
We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and will review the call you have mentioned and take any appropriate action needed. We apologize if the sales representative you spoke with was anything but polite and informative.
I've a 2007 mini cooper that have a transmission problem before the diagnostic test they are telling me what electronic code the car read out that they don't fix that problem, he's in another state haven't see the car but telling me what the problem is but the dealer saying it fall under my warren-tee fix, and they are denying my fix but taking $121 per month out of my C C account, I need help on this issue.
We have contacted the claims administrator of your service contract on your behalf to obtain information on the repair claim you have referenced. Your claims administrator/obligor, ***, stated that they have authorized your alternator repair, but need your repair facility to show cause of failure with your transmission so they can send out an independent inspector to verify cause of failure.
Once your repair facility is able to show cause of failure, they need to contact *** at *** so they can send out an inspector.
