Car Shield advertises "Peace of Mind", has advertising on most all social media sites plus Television. They advertise many positive reviews of "My vehicle broke down, I took my vehicle to my dealer, Car Shield handled everything and promptly paid for my repairs."
A Car Shield sale person called me one day, I listened, they gave me a quote, I said no, another lady came on and kept going down on price, we went back and forth, and I bought in to the "Peace of Mind"; I was fixing to travel, I finally wrapped up taking care of my deceased parents ordeals, I had went through divorce ~ I gave in to the sales pitch. I told her I did not have the vehicle in front of me to get the exact miles, she stated "its okay", I went off of an inspection report months previous and she said "no problem". I asked if there are any details to their program, she then mentioned "20 day grace period, after that, she said you can make unlimited claims" which I thought was a strange thing to say. Months later, I actually had an issue; I learned Car Shield only sells the policy, DOES NOT HANDLE CLAIMS IN ANY WAY which directly goes against their advertising and positive reviews. Their "Administrator" *** is my next, separate complaint. At no point in time did the Car Shield sales lady state Car Shield passed on the service to *** because that would contradict their false advertising. Because I could not reach ***, I towed my vehicle at my expense, got a rental and I made this known to Car Shield and *** from the beginning. *** kept me on hold for up to 100 minutes per day, guided me to non existent websites and everything led back to 1 number to contact them. *** led me on for about a month with 100"s of minutes per day on hold. After Car Shield collected another payment, I got notice "claim denied", I received many different explanations that did not make sense, I called and emailed, asking for a written statement of denial from both companies but never received a reply. Car Shield appears to be a "Bait and Switch shell game colluding with their "administrators" below them in the pyramid. I have documentation, names(if they told the truth), pictures of non existence websites of their "administrators". Car Shield reps told me point blank "we do not handle claims, we only market-sell policies". Car Shield had an "F" rating on one of the Revdex.com pages I researched, they are fully aware of what they are doing regarding scamming customers, they collude with their administrators and it was no coincidence I was denied after another payment was made. Their social media sites don't show comments, they use marketer / Administrator separation buffers to pass off customer complaint and apparently, dishonestly protect themselves.
I will be happy to submit to a polygraph along side Car Shield owners and staff. I have a lot of information beyond what I state, I hope I have provided enough to enact an investigation in to dishonest and corruptive practices.
We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and the opportunity to respond and help in the resolution this matter.
We reviewed the sales call and noted that the sales representative you spoke with did tell you that your service contract would be with *** out of Colorado. *** is also listed several times in the first few pages of the service contract you received in the mail as the administrator/obligor of your service contract.
We contacted *** on your behalf and requested that they contact you regarding this claim to fully explain their position and answer any questions or concerns that you may have had at that time. They contacted you on February 19, 2019 to discuss the repair claim that had been submitted and the codes that were pulled to indicate the failure was existing prior to the effective date of the service contract. *** also stated that they provided you with a denial letter as of 3/1/2019.
American Auto Shield has voided your service contract and you have been refunded in full. We show the refund check that was mailed to you has been received and deposited/cashed.
Please contact *** if you have any further dispute. They can be reached at *** or ***. There is also a dispute resolution section M in your service contract that states any dispute between you and the administrator relating to this contract may be resolved by arbitration through the Denver Revdex.com.

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: *** did not make the phone sales call, Car Shield did. *** finally sent me a "denial letter" that I had requested, it absolutely said nothing about "codes", it mentioned "mileage discrepancy"; if there is a recording of the call, it will validate me telling the sales lady "I'm not near my vehicle, I'll call you back with exact mileage.....", she just keep saying "no problem" give me your credit card number. *** sent NO CHECK to me in their name; the downfall of a liar, they keep telling different stories with different lies. I know the Revdex.com will not allow a business to choose a "path of least expense" while enacting fraudulent practices. I'm prepared for public, legal repercussions against *** and I'm 1,000% positive, when the word gets out, there will be thousands willing to participate in the lawsuit against *** and Car Shield.
Again, if the recording is available (I sincerely hope it is), it will back up my case and invalidate ***'s statement of denial regarding mileage. I have the "denial document" they sent me, it has nothing to do with "vehicle codes"; the vehicle is still in the same place if anyone wants to check for non existent codes, also, the mechanic stated the *** "inspector" remarked "all claims are typically denied-better get a credit card if you do any work". Legit sites with real reviews will validate the same remarks I am expressing.
The attached documents show CarShield cordially stating regret that "I requested cancellation" to which I didn't,; the check for refund is deemed partial refund for well over a thousand dollars, just for my rental, because *** led me on for well over a month (like every legit review states); *** gave me excuse after excuse as they led me on(also stated on every legit review); If there is a recording of the sales transaction, it will invalidate the letter from ***, the attached letter from *** invalidates the excuse that was given to the Revdex.com, "my case was denied because of "Codes..."
My next follow up with be with the Federal Trade Commission regarding CarShield and *** for intentional fraudulent practices; I'm sure it won't be hard to acquire "whistle blowers" that are currently employed/ formerly employed. If we need to go public, I'm sure the thousands that have been taken advantage of will be very anxious to come forward and participate.
Revdex.com, watch the CarShield commercials stating they personally handle claims as illustrated in the customer reviews; I have names and data from CarShield representatives that repeatedly stated "WE DO NOT HANDLE CLAIMS - WE ARE ONLY MARKETERS". Revdex.com, look at Consumer Affairs reviews for CarShield (not Car Shield) - not the fictitious 5 star reviews but the 1/2/3 star reviews. ***, Car Shield and others are playing a "pyramid - shell game of fraud and someone has to stop their million/billion dollar scam.
As stated before, I will be happy to take a polygraph along side of *** and CarShield. CarShield has many sites, they also have/had a Revdex.com "F" rating which is probably why they made CarShield in to one word. I know this may be about *** but the two are tied together. If my statements are confusing, I will be happy to meet at the Revdex.com is Dallas, Texas of fly anywhere needed to bring justice to this situation.
Thank you for your time,
***

Yes ... I had an emergency citation to come about on Friday afternoon 2.8.2019 .. First we started out early to pick up my son from the airport 1 hr away from our home. When all of a sudden the battery light came on car 2012 Dodge Journey I had insured with Car Sheild. Just ahead of us was an *** store. We stoped there the man check & told us the battery was bad needing to replace. That's when we found out the battery was under the passenger tire area. That meant it had to be towed to a garage to have it done. So I call a mechanic I've done business for a many years . Got towed car to garage. He got the battery changed out that we bought. Upon checking the new battery he found out it was the autonator . So he had to order one to come to his shop to put in our vehicle. We were still on a time line to pick up my son at the airport. So we asked his wife to take us home to get my husband's truck to hopefully be on time for my son pickup at the airport 1 hr away still. So she took us home. We had to leave the Dodge with him to fix. Now in the truck finally back on our way to airport. I thought about calling Car Shield to see if it would cover any of the car problems. Towing, autonator ,battery. ? It took me almost 2 hrs on hold to finally talk to someone. Now it's getting later on Friday afternoon he customer service person told me they would not cover the battery but will cover the towing & automator, & labor. To get my mechanic to call this other number. They called that number so late on Friday afternoon. They couldn't get thru to anyone after staying on the phone 2 hrs 30 mins. In the meantime we did get on time to pick up my son at the airport driving our old truck.. So I had finally got back that night to pick up my car at my mechanic at 9.30 PM. I paid him for everything he had done for my car. Drove the car home that night. So I had to call Car Shield back on Monday morning. I stayed on the phone all morning talking to this one & another one. Got an email to send a copy of my receipt for my car. So I did that email. A week goes by and hadn't heard anything. So I called that following Monday week. I spoke to an adjuster I was told. That no problem it would probably get a check out to me in a couple of days. So I waited another almost week. That Friday I had to call again, & each & every time you call it's a couple of hrs you have to wait . Finally someone came on the phone & checked my account. Nothing had been done she told me. I was mighty upset now. It's taking way too long to process my emergency problem with my car. By this time there were no one else to help me because they closed at 6.00 my time she said. No man was I upset. I never was mouthy to any one person at car sheild. I was professional talking each time. They seemed to be putting me off with my claim. On the 3rd week I kept trying to get in touch with the proper person to help handle my claim. Finally another adjustie told me that I wasnt getting any money from them. Why I was already told I was? He was very blunt speaking to me. He said that did I carry my car to a mechanic who was certified. I said yes I did. I've used home for years. He said well he was not certified . That was it. The more I spoke to him the madder I got. So I just got off the phone & cried.
I did call my mechanic later that day. She said he uses his Social Security number with his business not a certification. I called back the next day & told car shield to use his Social. They dont do that. I said well bvb why was I told to start with when I sent an email with a copy of the invoice it was goina be paid in a couple of days.? That was 4 weeks now.

Now I see a leak of something under the car.. So we take it to the Dodge dealership this time. They tell us oil & transmission fluids are leaking and need fixing. So they themselves call car shield it takes them a while over the phone also. They come back to us in the waiting room to let us know that car sheild will not cover this either. Its classified as maintenance!!!??? What I asked? The man that worked at the Dodge place said that it was goina cost almost 900.00 to fix both leaks. We ended up paying them a fee to look at the car . Came home disappointed again. Upset and mad by now. I waited to call car shield the next day. They didnt even have a claim for the second one they said. It's crazy I told them. I'm so upset with them I cancelled the service. I've had it over 1 yr and had 2 recent claims and they would help with neither. They have lied to me so much . Its hurtful they do people like this. Tell people over the phone and advertise oh we will fix what's wrong!!! No they will not. Lie lie lie !!!
We are sorry that you have been frustrated by the denied claim for your alternator. However, during the initial sales call and in your service contract, it is clearly stated that you can take your vehicle to any ASE Certified Mechanic or Dealership Service Department. You told the claims department that *** does repairs from his home and usually uses his SSN for his tax info. A person who does repairs from their home and is not ASE Certified, no matter how talented, can not be covered by the underwriters of your service contract.
We show no claim was submitted by the dealership you said you took your vehicle to after the alternator repair. Your dealership service department did not call in the claim.

I am rejecting this response because you are totally wrong. This was an emergency situation and I called you guys. Customer service told me to get *** to call this in.battery, tow, alternator, belt. . He called after the fact. He stayed on line with waiting to talk to you guys 2 hrs. That's the only time anything was said about a certification.
And the dealership called you guys or they lied to me. !!! You can call the Dodge dealership in Goldsboro NC. And ask them if I'm lying. I DO NOT LIE! You guys just dont want to pay period!!! I have read reviews of other people not getting paid back. I'm disgusted with the entire situation.. period. I was trying to do the very best I could on a Friday afternoon late!!! You guys take way too long to even talk to someone. It took 2 hrs for *** to talk to someone.
Sincerely
I'm writing to you concerning more info in my case. They said last on response that they didnt get a call concerning the oil & transmission leaks from the Dodge dealership. I just spoke to the serviceman at the Dodge dealership concerning this matter. He has given me permission to give them his name because he was the very one who called it in and they called him back. His name is *** at the *** . The phone to contact him back is***... CarShield basically called me a liar concern this. So Mr Jason is eager to let them know he did call and they should have paid that to be fixed. He is not lying.... But said that when they called him back it is routine maintenance... How about if you've had it already done a few days after we bought the car. Both oil & transition gaskets were done at the used car lot we bought it from. Before car shield. Now we didnt know both were leaking until the problem came up on that Friday late afternoon about the battery, autonator, two, & belt had to be done. Hope this gets to proper place so that carshield can call the serviceman Jason Guthrie. This company is a farce ....Thank you again so much. They dont want to pay.
The underwriter of your service contract cannot cover a repair that was done by a repair facility that is not an ASE certified licensed repair facility. That is why that is fact is so clearly stated in the sales call and in the contract you received in the mail.

It outlines how to submit that dispute through the Denver Revdex.com to resolve with *** through the Denver Revdex.com's arbitration rules.

I ordered Carshield for my vehicle and they stated with the premium package that I wouldn't have to worry about any repairs on my vehicle. After 2 months of payments. I need to take car in for repairs through w certified ASE dealer. Then when dealership called to receive repairs authorization, carshield told dealer they do not repair that item. The problem I have is that's not what I was told when signing up for this warranty service. I would have continue to research. They are not advertising what they are selling, taking my money and advantage of a women.
Your 2012 Range Rover with 98,795 miles qualified for a powertrain gold service contract. The covered components were gone over during the sales call and also listed in the service contract terms you received.
A repair claim was submitted by your repair shop for rear shocks. Shocks are wear and tear items and never covered under any service contract we market. Also submitted in this repair claim was your right tail gate strut, not covered under powertrain service contract, and the latch motor for your tail gate.
If you are not happy with your powertrain gold service contract and would like to cancel your coverage; please let us know and we will get that taken care of for you. You were not misled or told these items would be covered during the sales call or in the service contract terms you received.

My car been in the shop since last week. CarShield has sent out 2 adjusters. I am being told that the differential is broken and has no fluid. the dealer stated that is has no fluid because it is broken and everything leaked during the drive to the shop and while it has been sitting and waiting for the adjuster to arrive. Carshield is refusing to cover the repair charges. They have led us to believe that everything will paid for.
purchased a powertrain service contract for her 2007 GMC Envoy with 113,111 miles. The covered components were addressed in the sales call and also listed in the service contract she received.
A repair claim was submitted to *** Claims Department on February 20, 2019 for damage to the rear differential due to total loss of fluid. There was no fluid present in the rear differential when the independent inspector pulled the plug. *** denied the repair claim, per the service contract's terms, due to lack of lubrication and continued operation.
If *** has any dispute regarding ***'s claim decision, she would need to direct that dispute, per her contract's terms ARBITRATION section J, toward *** through the Denver Revdex.com. *** resolved any disputes regarding their repair claim decisions through the *** Revdex.com's arbitration rules.

I called them on Feb 21st, 2019 and spoke to a sales rep. He sold me a policy for $129.00. I thought that was a pretty steep price. He asked if I was a senior, disabled, etc. I was eligible for a $79.00 policy. He took me through what was included and what was not included. The company charged me on the 21st. My wife decided to call them back and cancel the service on Feb 27th, 2019. Every time she tried to cancel the policy she was hung up on or the call was disconnected. She called a total of 3 times yesterday with no success.
We cannot locate your service contract with the information you have provided. Are you sure you service contract was purchased through CarShield?
Please provide your VIN number, name or phone number the service contract was set up under and we would be happy to try to locate your contract. If you have received your service contract in the mail, it should have a contract number listed as well.

Last Year, 2018, while watching TV an advertising form Car Shield prompted me to call to protect my vehicle for "Engine and Transmission" as a piece of mind and well-deceiving tactics that I considered now fraudulent.
After a lengthy conversation to protect my car, a Jaguar 2001 XJ8 Vanden Plas with 153,472 miles and being skeptical of the salesmen, ***, his supervisor intervened and offered a Protection Plan in the amount of $79.00 for the "Engine and the Transmission" down from over $160.00.
So he requested bank information and in good faith I provide and the Plan was followed with a charge to my bank and with an e-mail. So I printed a copy and put it in the glove compartment.
On Sunday, February 17, 2019, while getting into town the engine started to run rough so it was diagnosed with MISFIRING with signs of steam out of the muffler's tailpipes. So I was advised not to run the engine any more to protect it from any further damage that perhaps may impact the cooling system and/or the radiator.
So after several thousand miles since the protection, on Tuesday, February 19, 2019, I contacted CarShield and I explained the above to ***. She told me that she needed a diagnosis and that I have to pay for the labor to tear down the engine. I then contacted several shops that may be able to deal with JAGUARS and I was told that to do what *** wanted me to do I MUST pay for the estimated services for approximately $3,200.00 up front due to BAD experiences they have with Car Protection companies.
Subsequent conversations with Car Shield associates and after I was told that there was no coverage along with a suggested cancellation, a supervisor named, Lea explained me practically I was out of luck because I got a "Basic Plan" for $79.00. She stated that NO MONEY will be refunded for the several payments taken automatically out of my Bank Account.
Therefore what CarShield advertise was fraudulent and deceiving. After I did late research on the hundreds of complaints filed against CarShield citing similar cases like the described above I regret that I give in to the sweet persuasion of the supervisor that trapped me into the bad situation.
You purchased a basic month to month powertrain service contract for your 2001 Jaguar with 153,472 miles on it. This is the best service contract you vehicle qualified for due to your vehicle's age and mileage. The coverage was explained during the sales call and was also written in detail in the service contract booklet you received in the mail. You were told that you had 20 business days to look over the coverage and if you were not happy with the terms for any reason, you could call back and cancel and receive a full refund.
Also worth noting, we don't see that a repair claim was ever submitted to the administrator of your contract for your vehicle.
You spoke with Leia, one of our customer service managers, and she was able to process a full refund for you as a gesture of good will. You were refunded 79.00 back to your *** on February 21, 2019. The remainder of your full refund was mailed on February 21, 2019 to the address you have listed in this complaint.
Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: The Manager review the phone conversations and she put herself in my shoes. After discussing the Claim that now she is stating never happens, there was a lady named, *** that stated that in order to cover the mechanical issues that I have to pay for TIR DOWN that was costing several thousand dollars stating that must be covered by me. When the manager took over , Leia she recognized the fraudulent and deceiving tactics and told me that unfortunate NO MONEY can be refunded, so now instead to cover the engine issue she is stating that a refund is in the process. The issue of the misfiring should be fixed.
Sincerely
The Powertrain Coverage you purchased was explained in detail during the purchase and in the service contract you received.
You spoke with a customer service manager who agreed to refund you in full as a gesture of goodwill. You have received and cashed/deposited your refund check and it has cleared.
We consider this complaint to be resolved.

I am rejecting this response because:
LAST YEAR I WAS TRICKED TO PROTECT MY CAR WHILE RESPONDING TO A TV ADVERTISING, THE SALES PERSON REACHED OUT TO A SUPERVISOR AND I WAS CONNED BY ASSURING THE COVERAGE FOR THE ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION AS ADVERTISED. THE POLICY WAS FOR $79.00/MO. TIME WENT BY AS I DROVE THE CAR FOR OVER 5,000 ADDITIONAL MILES AND STARTED MISFIRING AS IT SHOWED IN THE DIAGNOSIS AS A CONSEQUENCE OF STEAM COMING OUT OF THE TAIL PIPES. CAR SHIELD WAS CONTACTED AND A LADY NAMED KARLEN INSTRUCTED ME TO PAID FOR A TEAR DOWN TO THE ENGINE AND PAY FOR THE LABOR. SUBSEQUENT INDIVIDUALS OFFERED PARTS AT A DISCOUNT TO FIX THE ISSUE AS WELL OFFERED A 4 DAY RENTAL CAR AND A TOW. WHEN ALL THE RECORDED FLIP FLAPS TOOK PLACE A SUPERVISOR NAMED LEA TOOK OVER STATING AT FIRST THAT DUE TO A CANCELLATION SUGGESTED BY A LADY NAMED ALIA THERE WILL BE NO REFUND, HOWEVER, TWO DAYS LATER THE SUPERVISOR STATED THAT GOT APPROVAL TO REIMBURSE.
I NEED THE CAR TO BE REPAIRED AND NOT TO EXERCISE A WAY OUT BY REFUNDING THE MONEY TAKEN OUT OF MY BANK ACCOUNT. THE LADY SUPERVISOR LEA PROVIDED ME WITH ALL KIND OF STORIES TO JUSTIFY THE COVERAGE TELL ME THAT I GOT THE VERY BASIC. UNFORTUNATE AFTER THE COVERAGE I CAME ACROSS WITH OVER 400 UNRESOLVED CLAIMS SIMILAR LIKE MINE.
ONCE AGAIN THE ORIGINAL SALES WAS FOLLOWED WITH AN E-MAIL AND A COPY WAS PRINTED AND PUT IN THE GLOVE COMPARTMENT AND NEVER RECEIVED ANYTHING ELSE. DECEIVING TACTICS DON'T WORK!!!
Sincerely
On March 3, 2018 I started a Carshield policy and I pay $77 per month. On February 25, 2019 I had my car towed for service due to a leak and found that I also had a problem with my motor mounts. The shop submitted my claim to carshield and they denied everything on the claim but the tow stating that things were missing from my vehicle when they were not and cancelled my policy. I believe this business just stole my money and had no intention of repairing any issues on my car.
Your service contract was voided, per the terms set forth in your contract, due to modifications made to the vehicle. Removing the regular exhaust system and installing a straight pipe exhaust voids your service contract.
You are in the process of being refunded in full all monies you have paid into your service contract due to the voided contract.

We purchased a car warranty on Jan 7th and paid $100.00 to start and they took a February payment of $100 as well. The problem is that we have taken my wife's car in twice for repair and they will not cover it. The first time was for a harmonic balancer the last week of January. They denied it because they say it was not a covered part and that it is indicated in the booklet that we didn't receive until afterwards. The commercial is false advertisement because it says that all parts are covered. The rep that sold me the policy also indicated all parts would be covered.
Now the tensioner for the timing belt is going out. We were told this would be a covered repair but now the claim has been denied as a pre-existing issue.
There was a repair claim submitted to the claims department for a failed tensioner. This component is not listed as a covered part in your powertrain service contract's terms. There was also a problem with your vehicle's timing belt being stretched. The stretched timing belt pre-existed the effective date of your service contract and therefore was not coverable.
There are many components that are listed as covered under your powertrain service contract's terms. They are addressed at the time of sale and also listed in the service contract you received in the mail.
Your service contract has been cancelled as you requested and you have been refunded the two payments made. You should receive your refund in 7-10 business days.

I am rejecting this response because:
we were told that everything would be covered and we were not informed of a pre existing conditions would not be covered furthermore my mechanic as well as myself were informed that they would not be covering the part that IS listed on our coverages parts because it was too soon into our contract. Per our contract they would begin to cover items and repairs after having the policy for 20 days. We had this policy more then 20 days befor we ever tried to get something repaired.
In addition every part and service that my mechanic tried to have them cover after looking over the policy was denied. They asked for multiple items to be covered and were rejected each time always claiming a new issue. I would be happy to give you our mechanics number to contact them to get a reference as to what was claimed by the warranty company and how is completely goes against what they told the Revdex.com.

I purchased repair/replacement warranty from CarShield for my used 2008 Ford Edge SEL, that I bought November 2018. During enrollment, I was asked to provide the VIN# and mileage. At the time, the agent put the VIN# into a database (unknown) and advised that my vehicle qualified for coverage and that they did not see any discrepancies, which included no mileage and title issues. February 16, 2019, I took my vehicle to Ford because I encountered a problem while accelerating up an incline and wanted to have it checked out. Ford confirmed that my transmission was going bad. After multiple attempts, Ford finally got in contact with *** (whom the warranty is actually through). Their process was to send an Inspector out to the dealership to inspect and drive my vehicle. I received a call this morning, February 25, 2019 from CarShield advising that *** has denied my claim and will be cancelling my policy due to “True mileage unknown”. When I asked what that meant, the agent told me that they verified on *** that the mileage of my vehicle in March of 2018 was reported at 186k, which is higher than what my odometer shows currently. My issue with this company is, why was that not caught/determined during time of enrollment when they asked for the VIN# and the mileage?! I know for a fact that when I gave them the VIN#, they pulled up information from a database because he advised me of the year, make and model of the vehicle before I confirmed what vehicle I’d just purchased. I do not want a refund or prorated refund from them! I want my vehicle repaired! All of the complaints I see about this company are that *** will not pay claims and are cancelling policies and wiping their hands clean. It’s not fair that a big company like this can take advantage of us and at the end we are the ones left stuck out. I’m not stopping here, this is just the beginning, they are not going to get away with treating their customers like this, while we still have to look at their commercials on TV every day as if they are a trustworthy and upstanding company!
The administrator/obligor of *** service contract voided her service contract due to mileage rollback, true mileage is unknown. *** is in the process of being refunded in full due to her voided contract.
If there are any other questions regarding the administrator's decision to void the contract, please contact ***.
There is also a dispute resolution section of the service contract that outlines the procedures to follow if you have a dispute regarding a claims decision. The Denver Revdex.com arbitrates any dispute between a customer and American Auto Shield regarding a claims decision.

I am rejecting this response because: I was specifically told by CarSheild that they do not confirm “actual” mileage to qualify for the warranty. I bought this vehicle from an individual on November 23, 2018 and I reported to CarSheild the mileage that I saw on the odometer at that time. Yes, I failed at doing my due diligence by not having a *** report completed, but if CarSheild does not require a potential customer to validate “accurate” mileage outside of what the odometer is reading, how can you deny a claim and void my contract based on that criteria? I believe my claim was denied because the repairs at Ford Dealership were going to be too much and *** didn’t want to pay a repair that was going to be potentially more than what the vehicle is worth, and I agree. But why not just ask me to get a reasonable estimate from another repair shop instead of denying me for mileage that you all do not validate during enrollment? It’s not fair to the consumer for use to think that we have a warranty from a company who is going to find every loop whole possible to deny claims and void our contracts.
I’m requesting for you all to pay my claim of $2,400.00 for repairs with *** to have my transmission repaired and reinstate my contract going forward.
Sincerely,
Kendra Lewis

CarShield is refusing to refund me my full amount I have paid from October- February. They are trying to only send me February’s payment by cheak that will take 20 days to come in the mail. The Person who set up my plan put the milage in and they put the wrong milage of my car I was suppose to call up with the exact milage and I forgot I didn’t use any of their services for 5 months as I did not need it until I had a transmission problem and when I went to have it fixed they closed my policy out because of a milage discrepancy. They do false advertisement they had me believe that by pitching a warentee that things would be covered with my vehicle.
The administrator/obligor of your service contract voided you coverage due to misrepresentation of mileage at the time of purchase. The representative you spoke with told you to call back with correct mileage if it was not as you first stated. You did not call back in to verify mileage.
Your contract has been voided and you are being refunded in full.

I took my car in for service to my dealership and I was informed that the claim was denied. The rep said it was reason that there was a pre-existing condition on AC. They didn't ask for any records, or knowledge of what was going on with the car. I called carshield; they said that their decision was final. They would not allow me to talk to a supervisor. I then talked with the mechanic and he told me that it was the compressor and that there was no way to tell when it would happen. They, Carshield, had the mileage wrong too. The dealership manager asked for Carshield to send out another technician because he felt that the first didn't know what he was talking about and the manager was refused. He also asked for a supervisor; also refused. I have paid $148.71 since I started the contract in November, 30, 2018.
We contacted ***, the administrator/obligor of your service contract, on your behalf to obtain information regarding your repair claim.
*** stated that the independent inspector sent to view your vehicle found that front of the compressor surface was melted around the edge of the clutch face and there is rust visible on the clutch field assembly. There were no leaks to the AC system demonstrated. The inspector found that the failure to the compressor was long term and pre existing the effective date of your service contract. *** denied the repair claim due to the pre-existing failure.

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: This response is a lie, they failed to view the repair history on my vehicle, and our request for another tech to inspect the vehicle was denied. This company did not do what I was promised and offered no other resolutions to this issue.
Sincerely

I have 2011 GMC that I have a policy on, recently I took my vehicle to the shop and this company keeps stalling our repair, even tho the adjuster came out and agreed that it was a covered part that needs repaired , the company will not give final ok to the dealership. They Transfer calls multiple times and leave us on hold for well over an hour, then just disconnects the call.
We contacted the administrator of your service contract on your behalf to check the status of your repair claim for you. We see that *** authorized a repair in the amount of $1444.84 on February 28, 2019.
If you have any further questions regarding your repair claim, please contact *** at ***. They would be able to fully address any claims related inquires you may still have, if any.

This company is a complete ***. We have paid this policy for MONTHS. Now they won’t cover a part/labor of the 4-wheel drive drive train. We would like our money back that we have paid for the policy since they won’t cover actual repairs! It seems from the reviews that they never cover anything! Claim#
Well I was looking for reviews since I made that call today. I wanted to check reviews. My suggestion to you is to spend all your advertising dollars on more staff , training your staff ,and clearer details of your contract. Unfortunately, I won't be purchasing due to
Your number of bad reviews.
I started a policy December 18, 2018 and February 19th my 2003 Grand Marques started shutting off. I got it to the repair shop and let them know about your warranty but when they called to verify if the repair was covered, no one either answered or confirmed. I ended up paying for the repair.
We do not show that a claim was submitted to the claims department. We do apologize if you had trouble getting through to claims. There was a period of time where the claims department was having some repairs made to their phone lines, which unfortunately caused some longer hold times than we would like. Again, we are sorry for that inconvenience.
You're service contract has been cancelled as you requested and your payments will be refunded within 7-10 business days.

I will give them a zero, they are s rip off company. They never tell consumers the truth in getting a warrant with their company. I'm getting an attorney and fight them for my money back.
I have been paying for CarShield since November 2018. 2/18 my car broke down. My car was having engine problems. I took my car to the shop. The fuel pump and camshaft needed to be fixed. On Tuesday morning, the shop called CarShield and Carshield denied my claim. It is a $3400 bill. When I began paying Carshield, they told me they would cover engine, transmission, etc.

Sold me a piece of nothing contract convincing me it would help with vehicle repairs when in fact it covered absolutely nothing.
You purchased a month to month Powertrain Gold Service contract for your 2009 Nissan Rogue. The covered components were addressed during the sales call and are also spelled out in the service contract's terms that you received in the mail. The components your repair facility presented for replacement or repair are not listed as covered components in your service contract's terms and conditions, although many other components are.
We have cancelled you service contract as you requested and will agree to refund the money you have paid into you service contract as a gesture of goodwill.
