I needed a starter on my car. The shop billed me 513.13. These people only paid 126.00. I had to come up with the difference of 338.83. Then they said they pay the diagnosis of 75.00. They only gave the shop 45.50. These people lie! I feel this is such a scam. I canceled both of my warranties immediately! They mislead people in their advertising. They do not cover full prices of the repairs and you have to pay the shop hundreds by time these people scam the shops. Also...they do not tell the shop to order parts thru them. They were upset because the shop I used did not order the starter from them. They wanted to ship a cheap 99.00 starter to my shop. I would have had no warranty because of outside parts. Beware before you enroll in this Insurance.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. After reviewing your file we see your claim was paid in the amount of 174.30 plus you have a 100.00 deductible. That comes to 274.30. The repair facility completed the repair before the admin could go over part options with the repair facility. This left you with paying the difference between your repair facilities more expensive part and a part the admin could have gotten at a discounted rate and shipped to the repair facility.
Your statement is partially true. Lets review your statement. The customer service represenitive never told the shop he had to use your parts. This caused a 200.00 difference in the billing. Second. In your booklet it states you pay the diagnostic fee. The fee charged to my account was seventy five dollars. Your company only paid 45.50.
I had to pay all the difference because you do not cover costs completely which creates a touch of misrepresentation in your advertising.
I canceled both of my policies because I don't do business with underhanded companies. If you did what you say in your ads your company insurance would benefit greatly. But it doesn't!
Anyone who has coverage with your company better have extra money in the bank or they will be in trouble when they go to retrieve their vehicle. Money trouble because the bill wont be paid in full!
You cased me great hardship and nothing you say will change my opinion about Car Shield. Scam!
PS You are not a member of the Revdex.com! That alone tells me you are not on the up and up!
Scam and bait and switch, Company. This company is *** you're responsible and not reliable at all it is a bait and switch scam they find every loophole to get out of paying out what customers have paid for. They are full of false advertisement and misrepresent what their company will do they are nothing but scammers. in my Situation the front right real ball bearing assembly needs to be replaced it is not functioning because the sensor in the bearing is malfunctioning but this One piece the entire assembly including the sensor is 1 piece you can't just replace the sensor. So because the sensor part is the part that when badd even know-it-all one piece they don't consider that a malfunction so they won't cover it that's like saying if you broke your leg but you broke the lower part of your leg not the other part your leg is not broke. Best a typical bait and switch scam these companies do and they get away with it I may be stuck with him but if you haven't gotten a vehicle warranty from core shield don't.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We appreciate the opportunity to respond and resolve this matter.
The service contract you purchased covers a great many components on your vehicle. All covered components are listed in your service contract and were gone over in the initial sales call. The wheel speed sensor is not listed as a covered component.
If you would like to give our customer service department a call at 800-587-4162, we're sure they would be able to help you with a deferred monthly payment or a discount for being a repeat customer.

I am rejecting this response because:
I have already went over this with them. This is a loop hole they use! The wheel speed sensor and the wheel ball bearing is one piece. The entire front wheel ball bearing has to be replaced because it is one piece they cant just replace the sensor, they know this and it just a loop hole they use the cheat people! Typical bait and switch! THEY are CHEATS and I want everyone to know it!
Sincerely
The service contract you purchased does not list the speed sensor as a covered component. The speed sensor is the component that failed, not the hub. Your repair facility verified that there was no play or noise in the hub assembly, the sensor was the only failure. Therefore, as the sensor is not listed as a covered component, the claim was properly adjudicated.
I had purchased a warranty for 2 of my vehicles a few months ago. I fell behind on the payment and was told if I didn't make the payment by the first of August my policies would cancel. I spoke with a representative around the 25th I believe and explained that I got paid Friday the 27th so I could pay it then. She offered to just make it for Monday the 30th to be sure the funds were available. I agreed. I was told the payment was arranged for 80 dollars and change x2 for both vehicles due to late fees. In the meantime, my primary vehicle breaks down and is in the shop. The Had called car shield Tuesday the 31st to see what was covered. The next day, August 1st I receive a call stating my policies are cancelled due to non payment and my only option is to reenroll with another 20 day waiting period, them knowing my vehicle was in the shop now needing a new engine. I asked to speak to a manager twice and they refused to talk to me, nobody was willing to pull the recorded conversation I had authorizing payment for the 30th, nobody wanted to help at all.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We appreciate the opportunity to respond to and resolve this matter.
Ms. has made one payment of $77.00 on each of the two service contracts she purchased on June 1, 2018. Ms. has been refunded, back to her *** ending in ***, for both $77.00 payments.

I have a contract with CarShield. My car started sputtering and I pulled over--it was smoking. Later I had it towed. The mechanic said it was the head was blown. It was caused from the heater control valve over heating. When I reached out to CarShield they said that it was not covered, but yet in the contract it says, internal parts are covered. The repair was $2700 for a new engine--more than what it would have cost if CarShield would have just covered the repair.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We appreciate the opportunity to respond to and help in the resolution of this matter.
CarShield is the marketer/seller of the *** Powertrain Service Contract Mr. purchased. *** is the Obligor/Administrator of the service contract and has full authority over all claims procedures, approvals and denials.
We contacted *** to obtain information on the claim referenced. They stated that the cause of failure was the heater control valve. I am extremely unhappy with this service. I did not appreciate being treated like I was trying to get over on them when I was having repairs done on something clearly covered in my contract. I made a 7AM appointment to have my air condition fixed because my compressor had gone out. I sat at the dealership for 8 hours waiting for the dealership to contact Car Shield in order to file a claim. After finally contacting the dealership I was told that car shield was requesting a printout of any vehicle maintenance that I had done. The vehicle is a 2001 GMC Yukon which I have owned for only 4 years. I purchased this coverage only because of the age of the vehicle and it is a vehicle that is rarely used. During my four years of ownership I have never done anything but change the oil. I told the dealership that and they said car shield still wanted those records. Oil change records had nothing to do with fixing my a/c but they still wanted it which was confusing to myself and the service writer. I get oil changes at different Walmart's which then meant I had to run around town to obtain the records. I left the dealership to obtain the records and returned the next morning only to wait the whole day again. After hours of waiting we were told an adjuster would be out the next day to check over the vehicle and the time would be random. I left the vehicle at the dealership over night and had to call several times the following day to see if the adjuster had made a decision. After hours of calling I was told that there was a new belt on the a/c system and the adjuster wanted me to pay to repair a part in order to see if it would make the compressor run. At this point I was disgusted with the time spent trying to complete a simple repair and I decided to just repair the a/c out of my pocket because it was less stressful and time consuming. I was never allowed to speak directly to anyone from Car Shield regarding my claim to explain that the vehicle was in excellent condition when I purchased it and my family only uses it to travel which is more than likely the reason for parts being slightly used. I left the dealership feeling like Car Shield does everything they can to deny your claim and nothing to fix your vehicle. My out of pocket expense was $600 which was less than I had already paid Car Shield to do nothing!
CarShield used their charm and intimidating sales tactics via telephone to coerce a 92-year-old woman to let them charge her credit card for to buy their product. I now have the durable power of attorney for my mother's affairs as she has Alzheimer's Dementia. While navigating through her financial affairs, I found 5-months of auto -charges to CarShield listed on her credit card.
1.I telephoned their customer service to cancel their product and that's when the fun began. There is no written contract signed or otherwise in the file with all the automobile papers.
2. They requested and I did FAX my POA documents in order to cancel CarShield, along with my request for a refund ($804 to date) and explanation at the time they spoke with my mother she had been in crisis mode from this disease, and in and out of the hospital.
3. They responded with a different customer service number to cancel and I needed to send my POA. I responded FAX sent successfully. I telephoned this 3rd number in order to cancel.
4. I explained that the Immediate response to notice letter dated a few days after the charges began, stated coverage PENDING, PROGRAM TERM DEADLINE 4/25/2018. charges had already occurred.
5. They gave me a snippet of recording of the conversation with my mother, who said, I am 95 and I play golf. To me that means they charmed her first, and then worked on her vulnerability to sell their product. ( she tells everyone in the memory care community, where she now resides, that she plays golf.)
5.I was told I needed to provide the mileage on the car to cancel and receive some prorated credit. Without a written contract sent to my mother, I told the customer service agent, I cannot give you the mileage as I do not know what mileage you possess to begin with when you say you wrote a contract, fact a contract exists. and including what is covered.
6.The run around continued without receiving firm confirmation the they would cease charging Mother's credit card.
7. My next stop is Mother's credit card company to stop the auto charges to CarShield.
8. The cancelation customer service conversation went frustratingly downhill from there.
9.My only success might be canceling this questionable service. More important is to warn families who have elderly loved ones who frighten easily, and who are in danger of CarShield and companies like them who see elderly folks as easy targets, connect their sales tactics into that vein, and then manipulate, and coerce them to giving out their credit card information, for a questionable product, and one near impossible to cancel. Not resolved yet.
If you have an elderly loved one, write the list of these companies and tape it by the phone so they can see it if you have to. I would give CarShield -0- stars if I could. One star =an F to me!
We would be happy to look into this matter and make sure your mother is refunded in full if you could provide her service contract number or her name so we can determine if her service contract was purchased through our company. You may email that information to i
I will be happy to validate the my complaint and charges made by this company, CarShield.
Stay away from these people! I spoke with their sales manager who told me that I would get the warranty for one price, but received the warranty with a totally different price . When I called back to cancel, I was told that they had played the "recording" and I had agreed to the price they sent. That was a crock! If they in fact had a recording of my conversation, they would have heard me repeat the price that the Manager quoted, and heard me say " I don't want to get this, and then the price has changed".
I was told that the service would be $150.00 down and $75.00 a month. When I received the paperwork, it was substantially higher, and the monthly charge was now $89.00. To top it off, the terms would be for 48 months, not the 24 months that were agreed upon.
I would never recommend this company to anyone. They may have a good product, but the fact that they are dishonest in their practices has left me with a bad image of this company. When they finally credited my card, they kept $112 of the $150 I had paid as a deposit. According to their CSR it was for cancellation, mileage, and days of service. I would not have been upset about it if I had cancelled for any other reason, but I cancelled because they were dishonest.
We appreciate your bringing this to our attention. Your monthly payment was explained during the call when you purchased your extended service contract. We do apologize if there was a misunderstanding, however. Your service contract has been cancelled as you requested and you have been refunded back to your credit card in full.
I enrolled in Car Shield in Nov 2017. I found another dealer that was much cheaper so I cancelled with Car Shield in Dec.2017. They took my information and told me they was sending me my refund. I never received the refund.
and have been calling them every day. I keep getting the same we mailed it . well I never received it. since Dec. Now they tell me they mailed it on the 9th of July. today is the 25th and I have not received it. I called and talked to a man name *** in Customer Service and he said he see that I have many notes on file and does not know why I have not received my refund.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. However we don't show any record that you purchased coverage through Carshield at any time. We have searched by your phone number, name and address and see that we have spoken with you several times, but no purchase was made through CarShield.
There is another *** with a very similar name. Could your purchase have been through ***? (we are not affiliated with them in any way) Your service contract paperwork/booklet should show who you purchased from, listed as the Marketer, on the first and second page. If you would like to provide us with a copy of your booklet or provide us with the contract #, we might be able to determine who you need to contact to check on the cancellation request you made last year.
We have removed you from our mailing and call list. You should receive no further contact from CarShield.

My a.c. went out in muy 2009 initio g37, and I took it to the dealership to get it repaired. The dealership had to wait til Monday to contact the CarShield people to file a claim. The *** service department agent contacted me and told me that they weren't able to receive aftermarket as a shipment too repair. The *** service agent suggested that I give them a call myself and see what the hold up was and he gave me the number to the claims department. I asked did they have any one else that I could to for the repairs and they told me no, they only pay for the part, and at the completion of the contract that's not the impression I had. CarShield are scammers and liars. They said they had been trying to contact me, but never did I reference to my 09 *** repairs. *** told me it would be approximately $2200 for total repairs, parts, and labor, and the warranty company wouldn't pay they were only trying to pay $700 for the whole repair. They knew I had an *** which is by far a pretty pricey vehicle to perform maintenance on. They suckered me into purchasing their coverage that they are not willing to cover. This is the worst time to not have any a.c. because of a lying warranty company is not able to support their customer. I have 2 toddlers and it's entirely too hot to be in Texas without air condition. They also lied about the coverage, stating that my brakes would be covered and after the purchase was made, was when they sent me a copy of the contact and coverage. I didn't complain about that, but I'm completely disgusted and dissatisfied with their service. I wouldn't dare recommend them to anyone else ever.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We appreciate the opportunity to respond to and help in the resolution of this matter.
American Auto Shield has full authority over all claims procedures and approvals, as listed in your service contract.
We contacted American Auto Shield regarding the repair claim you have referenced. They stated that the claim is being approved and they are waiting on your decision on the parts options available. American Auto Shield contacted us again today to say they have tried to reach you today to go over your options and will continue to try to reach you. Please check your messages and give them a call back so they can move forward with the repair.
As shown in your service contract, American Auto Shield can be reached at ***.

I am rejecting this response because:
I have had my phone with me the whole time. The repair facilities and myself have been waiting on their responses, because we've been the main ones initiating contact to expedite this horrible service. I tried to remain patient and calm, but after being lied one and repeatedly, it's just ridiculous. I was just on the phone with the Claim department asking what do I need to so I can get my car air condition fixed and had a disagreement with the remaining balance of the repair. I don't know where they get their resources from, but *** total repair cost cut *** total in half and I still have a remaining balance of approximately $600. I don't understand how they have an expert to estimate prices but don't have any companies to recommend the repair. I'm upset at the amount of time it's taken to get my car repaired, their insensitive customer service, and the way they handle their claims. There should be one agent handling the claim and they should cut out the middle men. They should also use their customers email as an extended way to contact customers. Going through CarShield is who I expected to go through not somebody else. My app says CarShield as well as emailed contract, so they should be clearer with their customers and hands on. I have to pay for my rental because it's taken longer than necessary, because of their lack of communication and lack of effort to communicate as well as lack of concerns about my situation. I'm completely dissatisfied with the company and their resources.
Sincerely
I viewed a comercial at 8:30 am july 25 2018 wed morning. I t seemed to be a good deal for auto repair on my 2013 Hyundai Elantra that the warranty had just expired. So I decided to call and get some information about cost and coverage. Spoke to a guy named ***. What an i
t,very rude and argumentative. He tried to sell me a $295.00 down NOW and then $172.00 a month up to $3393.00. This coverage was for four years or 400,000 mi . He wanted to get my credit card # right away. I told him I was calling to get information and make sure my mechanic accepted car shield coverage and discuss it with my wife as we all have to do. He stated ALL MECHANICS take car shield and what would I do if my car breaks down tomorrow. He got nervous when I told him I had to check out the co reviews. After more of his rudeness I hung up and looked over alot of really BAD reviews and decided this is not for anybody with a brain.
Asked for a quote via website. Received call back and high pressure sales began! I said I wanted to discuss the cost with my husband and the high pressure just kept going, even reducing the purchase cost. High pressure sales with scare tactics "you don't want to get stranded somewhere, do you? What if you don't have the money to fix it?" Finally just had to say thank you for your time and hung up. Would never do business with a company that doesn't listen to the consumer and only wants to scare people! Buyer beware!
I filed a scam report against this company, please also take it as a complaint and resolve it with the business as the business broke the contract and made me at a loss in my car repair for thousands of dollars.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We appreciate the opportunity to respond and and resolve this matter.
Claims notes show that authorization to diagnose to cause of failure was not given to the repair facility. Claim cannot move forward without tear down to determine cause of failure.
You called CarShield's office on May 10, 2018 and requested cancellation of your service contract. Your contract was cancelled as you requested. You were refunded 175.00 to your Mastercard ending in 3879 on May 15, 2018 and the remainder of your refund in the amount of $633.31 was mailed to you on May 17, 2018. Your refund check cleared on May 23, 2018.
You have been refunded and your refund check has been deposited in your account and cleared. We consider this matter to be resolved.

NEVER had any issues with claims and have been with them since 2014 and just re-upped for the 125k miles on the 2012 Jeep Patriot, the car is not a good one but it was the one the wife wanted and the dealership ave its the run around on everything.
These folks stopped all that.
Thank you so much for your comment. We always appreciate positive feedback from our customers. Give us a call next time you need us!
The worse experience ever. No contract threw mail or email. Rude customer service and no phone call back.
Told that I had coverage on struts and now say I don't have that coverage and to get higher paying contract.
Is there a way I can get money refunded even after 30 days
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We appreciate the opportunity to respond.
We show that no claims have been submitted. Shocks and struts are not covered under any service contract we offer, as they are a wear and tear items like brakes, tires, wiper blades, etc.
Your service contract has been cancelled as you requested. Your down payment will be refunded to the credit card it was initially run on and the remainder of your prorated refund will be mailed to the address we have on file.

Thank for your response to CarShield. Hopefully I can get all moneys paid threw my policy
so I can purchase a new policy that is more reliable. I just reached the amount of miles and months paided so my vehicle if something went wrong could be looked at. But I will have to find another company with complete understanding of what's offered for service. Thanks so much for your efforts and concerns in this matter. Have a wonderful day.
I sign up with CarShield April 24 2018. I paid a deposit of $150.00. The monthly payment was $99.71. There was a 30day waiting period and 1,000 miles before a claim could be filed. I was told by the customer service rep I could take my car to any mechanic or my car dealership. On June 19, 2018 I drove 90 miles one-way to my dealership. The service tech called CarShield for authorization. We were told they had to send an inspector. The inspector could not come out until June 21,2018 to inspect the car. I had to rent a car to get home. After, the inspection CarShield would only pay $91.00 or a $865 repair bill and I had a $100.00 deductible.. I canceled the policy on June 22, 2018. I sent a letter that included why I was canceled and was told the money I paid end would be pro rated. July 17, 2018 I called to get the status of my refund only to be told there would not be a refund. When asked why the reply was they paid a claim of $85.00 but could not tell me who received the money. Also, they were charging me $75.00 as a cancellation fee. I had to pay all of the $865 to have my car repaired. CarShield collected $249.71 from me. I didn't received any service from CarShield. They ripped me off. CarShield has no integrity. They will lie to get your business and money. .
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We appreciate the opportunity to respond to and resolve this issue.
We contacted the administrator of your service contract, American Auto Shield. Their claim notes show that the claim was initialed on June 19, 2018. An inspector was sent out on June 20, 2018 to determine the cause of failure. The claim was authorized in the amount of 267.29 for the CV Axle joint. *** went over the part options with *** at the repair facility. *** stated that he would not accept the parts or negotiate. *** then said they had authorized the amount of 267.29 and would pay that amount toward the claim. The claim is still showing as pending in ***'s claim website. The repair facility has not gotten back to *** regarding moving forward with the repair.
Ms. called our office on June 22nd and requested cancellation. Her service contract has been cancelled as she requested. Ms. only made one monthly payment of 99.70. There was $85.00 paid for the inspection of her vehicle. That amount was deducted from her prorated refund along with her cancellation fee, as stated in her service contract. There is no refund due.

Car Shields phoned to me with a sales pitch that their vehicle warranty protection was for “new” car coverage. I purchased their contract as follows:
Purchase Date, 10/26/2017
CarShields:
Address: *** Tel#: *** Customer ID: ***
Vehicle: 2014 AUDI Q5
Current Odometer Reading: 66,590
Plan: New Car Coverage
Term: 60 / 100,000
Covered Until: 10/25/2022 126,590
Deductible: $100
Contract Price: $4,493.00
Down Payment: 150.00
Number of Payments: 24
Monthly Payments: 180.95
The total amount paid on the policy amounts was $1,590.00 to the end of June 2018. On 6/10/18, I made a claim to Car Shields for a combination of electrical issues and oil leak. Car Shields denied my claim for this “new” car coverage. I requested immediate cancelation of my policy. That did not go easily! After much persuasion, pressure and determination, I was adamant about retaining the policy. The policy was canceled but at a stunning cost of $981.00. The policy was in effect for only 8-months and 3,800 miles (odometer reading was 70,444 miles). Please note that no claim was made on the policy. On July 10, 2018, I received an e-mail from Car Shields stating a refund of $609.65 will be issued to me. Subsequently, I made multiple phone calls to Car Shields asking for explanation or breakdown of the indiscreet amount reimbursed. I was transferred to United Car Care at tel# ***. United Car Care told me they have nothing to do with refund calculations and returned my call back to Car Shields. My coverage is for 5-years or 90,000 miles for a total of $4,493.00. It’s inconceivable that I am charged nearly $1,000.00 for 8-months &/or 3,800 miles. I am terribly outraged because I work extremely hard for my earnings to allow Car Shield to unscrupulously covet my money. There’s no stipulation on what would be the breakdown of charges or costs on the contract, should a client voluntarily choose to cancel policy at any time during the agreed period. Therefore, I am requesting that Car Shields refund me the full remaining balance of $981.00. I am kindly requesting Revdex.com to address this matter on my behalf with Car Shields. Thanks!
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We appreciate the opportunity to respond to and resolve this matter.
The claim in question was for a oil pan drain plug that was stripped/cross threaded and for a light bulb for adaptive lighting that was blown. These are not parts listed for coverage.
Mr. called our office and requested cancellation. Per his service contract's terms and conditions, and as stated in the initial sales call; Mr. was issued a prorated refund of $759.65. His vehicle has been actively covered since October 25, 2017. Mr.' credit card was refunded in the amount of $150.00 on 6/29/2018 and the remainder of Mr. refund was mailed to the address listed in this complaint.
Mr. has received and cashed his refund check. We consider that matter to be resolved.
Respectfully,
Customer Relations.

I am rejecting this response because:
The total amount Car Shields extracted out my credit card account was $1,590.00. If I am refunded $759.65, there's still a balance of $830.35. There's no explanation as to why Car Shields is withholding that amount. Total cost of the contract is $4,493.00 for 5-years or 100K miles. There is no information in the contract outlining the monthly cost of the coverage or administrative cost for coverage. This is deceptive. Again, taking $830.00 for less than 8-montlhs of coverage is inconceivable. I am demanding that Car Shields settle the remaining balance in an amicable manner otherwise I may consider seeking legal assistance at the expense of Car Shields.
Sincerely
As stated in your service contract under the cancellation section on page T12, "after the free look period (the first 20 days after purchase) the cancellation refund will be calculated on a pro rata basis....less claims paid and the administrative processing fee of $50.00.
Your vehicle has been actively covered since October 25, 2017, so you've used 8 months of coverage and made 7 payments and your down payment.
You have received the prorated refund due, per your contract's terms and conditions, and you have cashed the refund check you have received. We consider this matter resolved.

I am rejecting this response because:
I need a break-down of the Pro-Rata basis and an explanation of what exactly are the costs for the 7 months of coverage. I am not contesting what you have reimbursed me and what I cashed. I am contesting the amount you have withheld from me deceptively! I DO NOT INTEND TO RENOUNCE MY POSITION until I am satisfied.

On June 13, 2018 I went to *** because my engine light came on....I asked *** to called this company because I thought by having this warranty it would fix my truck....well he did called and they told him nothing was covered so I had to come out of pocket....when I signed up for this contract Mr. *** told me everything was covered on the phone conversation we had...and now I go take my truck in and nothing was covered under this contract.....in my booklet it says the Seller is Carshield but the Payment Plan Provider is ***.....Phone number is *** or ***......My contract number is *** and the Conract is *** and the Adminstrator is ***..........This is the work I had done on June 13, 2018......they changed out the Air Filter that was $20 dollars, throttle body that cost $217.50, brake switch cost $34.44, shop supplies was $12.05, Engine Diagnoistic Charge reduced power $49.99, Adjustable Pedal Swith-remove and and replace $69.99, Clean mass air sensor $20.00 and Throttle Body Assembly-remove and replace $69.99....I had to come out of pocket of $538.42.......Then on July 2, 2018 engine light came on again...took my truck back to *** and *** called once again to Carshield again and it was denied again....so I had to pay out of pocket once again....they had to change a Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor cost $115.00/shop supplies $4.13 and Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor cost $50.00.....out of pocket came to $183.42......so nothing was covered and I am thinking about canceling this contract because I am paying to use this and not once since I tried nothing is covered....
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We appreciate the opportunity to respond to and resolve this matter.
The first claim Mr. mentions was submitted during his grace period. Claims are not paid while the customer is still inside his grace period by time or miles. The second claim submitted on June 13, 2018 and was for a brake switch, throttle body and MAF sensor. These items are not listed as covered under the vehicle service contract Mr. purchased. Covered items are listed in the service contract Mr. received in the mail and were also listed during the initial call when Mr. made the purchase.
We have spoken to Mr. and explained all the components that are covered under his service contract, the latest call being on July 17. We were able to discount his service contract a total of $595.00 and reduce his monthly payments. We believe this matter has been resolved.
If Mr. has any additional questions or concerns, he is welcome to contact our customer service department at 800-587-4162.

I bought this warranty on July 6, 2018 and now that I failed inspection on my car I want my $85 back for false advertisement. I spoke with Shawn Jones on July 6, 2018 and he said anything that is pre-existing will cover my repairs on my car. I even spoken with David the manager and he confirmed my repairs will be covered at any certified mechanic place. Now they are telling me that because I failed inspection, my exhaust valves and my lower front A-frames won't be covered.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We appreciate the opportunity to respond to and resolve this matter.
We reviewed the sales call in question and found that the sales representative you spoke with read over the coverage with you right from the contract regarding the specific components that were covered under the powertrain service contract you purchased. The representative also let you know that no pre existing conditions would be covered.
You called our office and requested cancellation of your service contract. Your service contract has already been cancelled, as you requested, and your *** Card ending in *** has been credited for the payment of $85.00 you previously made. *** generally takes 3-5 days to show the credit to your account.

I wish CarShield would stick these letters where the sun don't shine. Up theirs. First they call and call trying to get me to take a service contract on the drive train of my 1996 Chevy Blazer that has right at 200,000 miles, told them they are crazy, the SUV IS OLD, 2'nd owner and ready for the junkyard in the sky. Call after call until I blew a gasket and told them to leave me the hell alone, I am on the do not call list. I have things to do other than try to get them off my back. I have never sent them a message,, called them, or applied for any service contract quote. Now, they send letter after letter trying to get me to respond asap to get a contract service activated, gave me a customer ID number in the letter. 2 letters last week, 1 today, and so many in the past since they can't call. I am sick and tired of these annoying A-holes and if it don't stop, I will contact the postal service and from there, my lawyer. The DO NOT UNDERSTAND the word NO, or Leave me the XXX alone. Last letter they better send me or it's going to be me like white on rice. They do not deseI wish CarShield would stick these letters where the sun don't shine. Up theirs. We received a payment from Carshield for $1600.00. The check bounced and the bank account was closed. No They scammed us and took the money. We are pursuing this with the police but they said this was common and not to expect much.
