I have tried many times over to cancel my policy because my financial situation has changed and I can no longer afford the payments. Every time I call they refuse to listen and refuse to cancel my policy. Instead they repeat over and over how I'm giving up a great policy and talk in circles until I get frustrated and hang up. I emailed them back in March and told them not to charge me anymore and to cancel the policy. I received no response and they charged me $101.37 April 26th 2018. I literally had to cancel my debit card so they would stop charging me.

I have been receiving calls and letters from this company for about 18 months. I have asked them to place me on a do not contact list and I have not been put on this list. They call me multiple times a day there have been days that I have received 5 calls in a day and keep receiving letters in the mail every month. They have told me they are going to close my account/case and they don't close it. The last straw was when I received a call from them early in the morning and I asked to be placed on the do not call list and then proceeded to get three additional calls the same day, when I asked to speak to a person in a higher position I was hung up on and my concerns were not noted. This has now crossed several lines and beginning to be harrassment.

We show no calls to the phone number listed in this complaint. What often happens is that a consumer is receiving calls from one of the dozens of other marketers out there. They then receive a mailed advertisement from our company and assume that calls are coming from our company as well. That is not the case.
If Mr. can supply us with the ID number that would have appeared on one of the mailed advertisements we send, we can determine if that mailer came from us and then remove Mr. from our mailing list.
We have removed the information provided in the complaint from our mailing list. However, the ID number that would appear on mailers sent on our behalf would enable us to remove the information exactly how it was originally mailed.
Again, we show no calls to the number in this complaint. Our company does not "cold call" consumers. We only call consumers who have purchased a service contract with one of our administrators in the past and it is nearing expiration.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Unfortunately I do not have a reference id because I shred all my mail after I open them. I will accept them removing me off the mailer and place my number on a do not call list.
Sincerely

this "company" is a total sham and will do anything to get (steal) your money and deny your claim. They owe $3290.00 and I have them recorded saying they won't do anything and if I want some of what I forked into this "company" they tell you to send a letter to them via USPS within 16hrs, but it takes 3-5 business days to get to there, so then they say that they didn't receive it within the deadline and won't give you any of your money.
I have never had an account with CarShield. They began calling me and send8ng me letters trying to get me to renew a warranty they say the previous owner (a friend) had on the car. When I asked for paperwork to show what this extended warranty would cover, they said they couldn’t send that because their office doesn’t deal with this and then asked me for my credit card number. I have asked them multiple times not to call, and then they hang up on me. I have returned letters telling them not to mail me again. They keep asking for my credit card number. I have blocked their number at least 7 times, but they call from a new number - they’ve even paid for their number to look local to me at times. They are a scam and nuisance.
This company has been sending me fraudulent letters trying to convince me that my warranty has expired for my car, but it has not. I am good for 10 years or 10,000 miles, whichever comes first, and this company is sending me letters trying to get me to think my warranty is about to expire. I'm very upset that they're allowed to do this.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We appreciate the opportunity to respond to your complaint.
The mailed advertisements that are sent on our behalf are offers to consumers to purchase an extended service contract for their vehicle. We have no way of knowing if a consumer already has extended coverage or how long their factory warranty might run.
There are dozens of marketers out there that send similar mailed advertisements. If the mailers you are receiving were sent on our behalf, they would state, "...IF your factory warranty has expired, you will be responsible for paying any repairs. However, if expired, you can still activate a service contract on your vehicle..."
Worth noting, the administrative companies we market for and who handle all repair claims submitted are A+ rated and Revdex.com accredited and have collectively paid over 28 million dollars in repair claims, just last year alone.
If you can provide us with the ID number that would appear on a mailer sent on our behalf, we can determine if the mailer came from our company and then would be happy to remove your information from our mailing list.

I am now sending a letter from my attorney I have asked for over a year not to contact me. The 2011 chevy cruz was totaled by a drunk driver. I told them this and every time they call it makes me relive this terrible accident. You have no right to call me and now you might be facing some major consequences I get 20+ calls from you a day. Be watch your mail for a cease and desist order. If I get one more call after you have received this I will take you to court. I have been more then nice and civil. I'm sick of being hung up on when I ask for a supervisor (which i'm sure you don't have.)
I called Car Shield for a price quote on coverage for my car. Once I found out how expensive the service was, I told the sales rep that I was not interested. He then proceeded to repeat the same sales pitch verbatim three times. I insisted that I could not afford it, and he then began commenting on my personal finances, telling me that I needed to 'budget around the Car Shield service' The following is an excerpt from our conversation:
Him: "This plan is cheaper than your phone plan"
Me: "My phone plan is $29.99"
Him: "Huh, yeah, if you're like the third user on a relative's plan!"
Me: "No, I am the primary user!"
Him: "[laughter] Yeah, we'll leave that one alone"
This sales rep was your quintessential pushy, rude salesman. I am a polite person, but I hung up on him.
I was mislead into believing that if my car had a blown head gasket that it was covered on my contract to be fixed, when I got the coverage from car sheild, then 2 months later my head gasket blew an I needed a new motor put in my car, an they told me that it wasn't covered in my contract, but that's not what I was told when I signed up for it

I have repeatedly CALLED *** in regards to some FICTITIOUS customer ID that I somehow have with these people. I have no IDEA who they are, I never solicited them, I never received anything in the mail from them till all the sudden and they continually harass me after I have REPEATEDLY called (7) times to be removed from whatever mail, solicitation or marketing scam list they got me on! They obviously keep LYING because I keep getting mail. I asked them REPEATEDLY where and how they obtained my name/address/make-model-year of my car and they NEVER will tell me! I have NEVER did nor would I ever do business with this company! I want them to STOP marketing and soliciting me!
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We appreciate the opportunity to respond to and resolve this matter.
We see that you called our office on April 25th and asked to be removed from our mailing list. You were immediately removed from our mailing and call list. We do apologize for the inconvenience.

Car Shield constantly calls my son's cell phone. He has asked them repeatedly to stop calling and they do not. I called this week and they were really rude. My son does not own the car he drives, I do, so they have no reason to call him. They insisted he contacted them about a 2013 Cadillac, which we do not own a Cadillac. When I told them he did not contact them about this car, they hung up on me. He gets multiple calls daily from different extended warranty companies for items he does not own. I have called 4 of them today and 1 of them told me that often they get people's information from people putting in bogus phone numbers in on line when they request information. They even gave me different names of people who were supposed to be associated with our phone number. Even if I needed an extended warranty I would not get it from Car Shield, just based on the fact that they are so rude and harass my son by phone on a daily basis. Poor customer service and VERY RUDE.
Car Shield is a total scam company that uses deceiving, threatening and in my view fraudulent tactics to convince unwitting victims that they need their car warranty services. The company prays on older people and sends them letters indicating "Immediate Response Requested" for vehicles that are still UNDER MANUFACTURERS WARRANTY. BEWARE, they did this to my mother and law and it cost her over $4000...Total scam!!
I keep receiving mail from this company addressed to someone other than myself. There is NO return address on any of their mail, so I cannot write "Return to Sender" and have the post office return the mail. I have called the number and have told them that Russell Green (Customer ID:***) does not live at my address and to stop sending their advertisement to my address but I keep receiving their mail for

I have not owned a car in 10 years but they had my information on record. The most the operator could say was they would take me off their list. Not how it got there or what info they had. Shady.
We apologize that you mistakenly received one of our mailed advertisements and any inconvenience this caused. We have removed your information from our mailing list. You should receive nothing further from our company.
we have emailed 3 times to cancel contract well before the 30 day limit, called 2 times and get transferred with a hold time of 20 mins or more. No one ever picks up. And we have sent written notice. They seem to ignore my request for a refund and to cancel. Seems they do not care about people, and I have read a few very bad revues on how they do not cover what they say they do.

*** called our office on April 25, 2018 to cancel his service contract. His contract was cancelled as he requested as of that date and he was refunded in full back to his Visa card ending in 0707 on April 26, 2018.

I am rejecting this response because: you were contacted April 6th and by mail april 10th. you people are very bad to deal with. And lie to get people to pay for a useless contract.

I got a warranty through this company after my Nissan warranty expired.
I was asking questions because I knew I had some issues with my 2015 Nissan Versa and I wanted to make sure the issues were covered. I specifically asked for an extended warranty.
I put down $150 in November
and they started billing me $68.66 each month. On March 30 my car went out and I needed transmission and so I had the car towed into the shop. They had to contact Carshield
(my contract number is ABF964077). They
denied it saying I didn't have an extended warranty and that I only had an electrical warranty. They also were suppose to reimburse me for 4 days for a rental, which was $97.85. I also had to pay $45 for diagnostic
fee. I signed up and specifically asked for an extended warranty and now they won't do anything.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We appreciate the opportunity to respond to and resolve this matter.
During the sales call, the covered components were addressed several times. You also received your service contract in the mail which outlined your specific coverage.
If you are not happy with your coverage, we will agree to refund you in full as a gesture of goodwill. Your service contract has been cancelled at your request and you will be issued a full refund.

Yes I did accept the 150.00 refund. However I did also request for a refund for rental car for 97.75 and for my car getting checked out for 45.00. I was out a lot of money because of being denied. I would appreciated getting all my money back. Along with 68.46 x 4

I have a current warranty contract with CarShield. They just denied a repair for the cooling fan in my 2013 infiniti beacause they cannot determine the cause of the failure. This fan is driven by a electric motor. The bearing in the little electric motor failed. Most if not all parts on any vehicle have the potential to fail, to deny a claim beacuase there is no determining factor of the failure is ridiculous and unethical. Don’t waste your money and think you are covered....... you are not.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We appreciate the opportunity to respond to and resolve this matter. To clarify, your claim was not denied. Your vehicle's blower motor is listed as a covered component, the auxiliary fan is not listed for coverage. Rather than move forward with your claim, you requested cancellation of your service contract. Your service contract has been cancelled, as you requested, and you have been refunded in full.
I have received 4-5 pieces of mail from Car Shield over a period of one year soliciting car warranties. They say that my warranty will expire soon; they are using scare tactics. I have never had an account with them, but they assigned me the customer ID number ***. It sounds very official.

I bought a *** in 2016 and bought a three year maintenance service and warranty from the dealer in . Since the purchase of this car, I have received continuous mailings notifying me that the factory warranty expired and to call them immediately for activation. I spoke with the *** Dealer to confirm that the package I bought was still covered. The *** Dealer said the CarShield notification was a scam. I've asked them several times to stop sending the notifications and it has not stopped.
In Jan 2017, I co-purchased a used ***n the state of ***. In February they notified my mother (90 yrs old) by phone and said she needed to purchase the warranty and took her visa card payment. I had to cancel the transaction because she was not aware of this scam.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We appreciate the opportunity to respond to and resolve this matter.
The mailed advertisements that are sent on our behalf state, IF your factory warranty has expired, you will be responsible for paying for any needed repairs. It then goes on to offer the consumer the option to purchase an extended service contract for their vehicle.
The service offered is definitely not a scam. The administrators we market for paid well over 28 million dollars in repair claims for their customers, just last year alone!
As you are not interested in the service we offer, we have removed your contact information from our mailing list.

Buyers beware !!! Bought this and was told everything was covered even as I told them it was an older car. When I went to file my first claim it was denied as the part they said failed was not covered. They never came out to inspect the car to determine that was the problem. just denied claim. Second claim as I'm still working on but not expecting good outcome is engine knocking. Inspector comes out says it needs used engine:(obvious) as it would cost more to tear down and repair than to replace..Claims adjuster I talk to tells me they have to tear down engine first to find the problem. Inspector has already told them to replace with used engine because of cost. They want me to approve tear down (expensive and which I will be liable for costs) if they find some small detail I'm out cost of tear down and used engine. After seeing the F rating of the Revdex.com I call and am berated by customer service for being an unhappy customer(I am)and am told nobody writes good reviews only bad ones. When I ask why some Revdex.com reviews are A plus instead of F ratings I am transferred to another customer service rep...... If they had a zero stars rating they would get mine.....
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We appreciate the opportunity to respond to and help in the resolution of this matter. We contacted United Car Care, the administrator of the Powertrain Gold Service Contract you purchased for your 2007 Kia. They stated that your claim is still in process and they are waiting for the shop to be ready for them to send out an independent inspector to determine the cause of failure. United Car Care is an A+ rated, Revdex.com accredited administrator and have paid over 17 million dollars in repair claims for their customers, just last year alone.
I have ***. I got the contract in January of 2018 and the car had a check engine light come on. Took the car to a reputable dealership and they stated the timing chain is going out. Called and filed a claim. Carshield said there was a discrepancy in the mileage. I called to figure the issue out and United Car Care said mileage was in the system as 154,730 (actual mileage is 146,435) said they denied the claim because of this. I called Carshield and asked where did they get this mileage from and they said it was in their system as *154,730?since I didn't know at the time. The guy said I could call back at anytime. Now they dont want to process the claim since the Grace period wouldn't start until after the mileage hit the 154730 mark!!! This is straight robbery! This is ridiculous! I am beyound upset with this. Now I have $3000 job to be done on a vehicle that the so called warranty does not want to pay for!!
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We appreciate the opportunity to respond to and resolve this matter.
*** set up his coverage on January 31, 2018. He told the sales representative at that time that he had approximately 154,700 miles on his ***. The representative told *** to call back within 24 hours if his mileage differed from what he told us at that time. *** did not call back to update the starting mileage of his contract.
One of our representatives spoke to *** on April 9, 2018 regarding the mileage discrepancy. At that time he said he was at work when he set up the coverage and he was supposed to call back with updated miles and forgot to do so. *** was given the number of the administrator of his service contract and some options he had to resolve this issue.
On April 13, 2018 we spoke to *** and she was given the option to have the mileage updated and keep the coverage or she could choose to cancel the coverage and receive a full refund of all monies paid into the contract. She chose to cancel and receive full refund.
***'s coverage was cancelled as requested and he was issued a full refund.
