Cautivadora Reviews (237)

Review: I ordered a bird feeder through a [redacted] promotion for Cautivadora. I placed my order mid April. I reached out to the company via phone 3-4 times to see about getting an update on when to expect my package to ship. There was never a customer service rep available to take my call and my only option was to leave a voicemail. None of my voicemails were ever returned. Then I resorted to send 2-3 emails with an explaination of getting a shipping time frame and my voicemails being unanswered. Finally, the packaged shipped first part of June and was supposedly "delivered" by [redacted] on the 11th of June. My package was no where to be found. According to [redacted]'s claims dept, they are requesting to have the sender, Cautivadora, make a claim with them. So I have resumed my emails and calls to remain, of course, unanswered. Please help!Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for my purchase or at least have them follow through in a timely manner with [redacted] to help track my lost package

Review: I ordered a hammock on 7-*-13 using a gift card purchased through [redacted]. I understood shipping would take 4-6 weeks but received an email on 8-*-13 saying it shipped. Then on 8-**-13 I received an email stating to call Cautivadora at ###-###-#### (which was disconnected) concerning my shipping info. I have sent emails, made calls and left messages with the only response being automated. I contacted [redacted] and they have credited back my gift card money.Desired Settlement: Refund my shipping which they charged as soon as I placed the order.

Response:

Dear Buyer, We apologize for the inconvenience, but please be advised that [redacted] never paid us for the travel hammock deal which is in breach of our agreement with them. It is due to this that the hammocks were not shipped. Cautivadora stands behind their deals and tried in earnest to fulfill the orders. Cautivadora tried, in good faith, to resolve the issue with [redacted] but [redacted] has cancelled the deal. Cautivadora will be refunding your shipping fee.

With sincerest apologies, Cautivadora, Inc.

Sincerely,

Review: I purchased a Foldable Hammock from Cautivadora (Part Number [redacted]) on 7/**/2013. Order number: [redacted]. I have not received any information regarding shipment of the item, nor the item itself. I have sent multiple emails to the company along with leaving a voicemail, yet no one has responded to any of my attempts at trying to track down my order. The original billing email states that I will receive an email once my order has shipped. It has been a month and I have received nothing from the company.Desired Settlement: I either want the foldable hammock that I purchased or I want my account to be refunded for the charge. Regardless, some information from the company about my order status would be appreciated.

Review: I purchased a [redacted] Deal for a travel hammock from Cautivadora in July, 2013. I immediately bought the hammock from Cautivadora and paid them for shipping. After two months, and numerous emails and phone calls to Cautivadora, [redacted] emailed that the deal had been cancelled and my money for the hammock had been credited. However, I had already redeemed my purchase with Cautivadora and had paid $16.00 for shipping. I have been emailing Cautivadora because they offered the hammock at the same price. I was planning on still purchasing it as I had already paid for shipping. However, I have called and emailed many times and have not heard back. When I dial their [redacted] number I am on hold until I finally give up and hang up. I am no longer interested in getting the hammock. I want my money back.Desired Settlement: I want to be done with this company by them refunding the money I already spent for shipping.

Sincerely,

Review: I purchased a [redacted] deal that involved Cautivadora. After waiting almost two months for the product that I order in July, I ended up getting a refund from living social for the deal. Now I can't even get a hold of Cautivadora to get a refund on the shipping for an item that was never sent and finally canceled. Every email I have sent to the company has been replied via an automatic response. Every phone call has gone unanswered. For example, the phone system said "This office is closed for Columbus day" (Oct **); I was calling on Oct [redacted]. I filed a claim with [redacted] (which is how the shipping was handled); that claim was not acceptable because it was out of their 45 day timeline. Now I have spent money on a product I never got and just want a refund for shipping costs. This has been a huge headache trying to deal with Cautivadora who says on their website that their phone lines are answered, emails will be responded to, etc. None of that is true.Desired Settlement: This seems to be an issue for anyone who purchased this deal that was canceled and now no one can get a refund for the shipping costs. I've read many reviews about this very issue. Each customer needs a refund on shipping.

At this time, my complaint, ID [redacted] regarding Cautivadora has been resolved.

Sincerely,

Review: On July*, 2013, I submitted an online order for item number 44632, a Foldable Hammock in blue. I redeemed a Living Social deal where I paid $69 for the hammock, originally priced $129.99. The order number is [redacted]. For weeks, I had not received any shipping confirmation. Finally, on August *, 2013, I received an email saying that the item was shipped via UPS. However, a tracking number was not provided in the email confirmation nor online through the website. It is now August **, 2013 and I have not received the item. I've made 3 attempts via email to contact customer service for either a UPS tracking number or to cancel the order but I have not received a response either way. I didn't even get a computer generated email stating that my complaint had been received.Desired Settlement: I would like my money back for what I paid. The item was going to be a birthday gift for someone in July but it's now way past the date I wanted it. Not to mention, summer here in Chicago will be over soon.

Review: I ordered the portable hammock from Cautivadora on July [redacted]. Order # [redacted]. I received a confirmation email of my order. I did not receive my hammock. On July [redacted], I emailed them asking when my hammock would be delivered. On August [redacted], I received an email saying that my order shipped. On August [redacted] and again on August [redacted] I emailed and called their customer service phone numbers asking when my hammock would be delivered. I have not once received a response back from Cautivadora from any of my attempts to reach them, except for the auto-response "We are out looking for great deals for you" canned response to my first email asking where my order is. They have never returned any of my phone calls or emails and I have been contacting them since July [redacted], at least 4 times and via email and phone.Desired Settlement: I want my hammock delivered! Why is it taking so long and why have they ignored me and not just let me know if it's back ordered or something? I want a response and I want my hammock. I'm incredibly upset that they have not delivered it and that they have continuously ignored me on this matter.

Review: I ordered a [redacted] deal for travel hammocks at [redacted]. I purchased two of these. I contacted [redacted] right away and they refunded the money I spent on this deal ($118) I contaced cautivadora again multiple times. through email, phone, leaving a message, online support. no one has ever responded to any of my messages since this deal was cancelled. I want a refund of the money I paid direclty to them for shipping and handleing. $23.43/hammock = $46.86 total.Desired Settlement: I want a refund!

Sincerely,

Review: I have been trying to receive the Portable Travel Hammocks since I originally placed the order using [redacted] vouchers on August [redacted]. I was able to reach a customer service person once in my 12 attempts by phone to speak with Cautivadora. That person assured me I would get the hammocks. That was September [redacted]. I have not received them. The last time I tried to reach someone at customer service, a nice man answered, but said it was his cell phone, that he had nothing to do with the company, but that he's getting hundreds of these calls. Repeated (over 6) attempts to reach them by email also have gone unanswered. I sent [redacted] two money orders for the shipping, [redacted] and [redacted] in the amount of $17.75 each for the shipping. I would like to be reimbursed for the $35.50 shipping they charged. I am working with eversave.com for the redemption of the vouchers I purchased from them to use in conjunction with this purchase.Desired Settlement: Reimbursement of my $35.50 in shipping charges.

Sincerely,

Review: I had placed an order for two vouchers with the [redacted] website for two Foldable Hammocks available through Cautivadora's online website. I then went to Cautivadora's online website on July [redacted], 2013 and placed two separate orders for the Foldable Hammocks and redeemed my two vouchers and had to pay two separate shipping charges for the orders of $16.75 each for a total of $33.50. I never recieved my Foldable Hammocks even though I had received a shipping confirmation from Cautivadora on July [redacted] that my orders were being shipped. I never recieved my Foldable Hammocks from Cautivadora. I then recieved an email from [redacted] letting me know that Cautivadora had not fulfilled their end of the deal and the orders were being cancelled. [redacted] refunded my credit card for the amount of the two vouchers I had purchased from them, but said that I need to contact Cautivadora for any shipping charges I had paid directly to Cautivadora. I did get an email from Cautivadora that I could order the Hammocks from them, but at this point I was skeptical of the legitimacy of this offer and requested a refund for the two shipping charges be credited back to my [redacted]. I have contacted Cautivadora again trying to resolve this issue to no avail. Today I recieved the following email from Cautivadora with the subject line of the email listed as "Unpaid Orders" and asking me to pay them more money:

Dear Customers;

Please be advised that your order is listed as unpaid. This means that we still have not received a check or money order for the item you wish to purchase or for the shipping you may owe on an item you purchased through a deal. Please send in your check or money order or pay with your credit card online. Check payments take an additional 7 business days to process because the checks must first clear before we can move your order along. If you would like to have your order processed immediately you may login to your account with Cautivadora and pay with your credit card. We have recently updated our site so that it should be easy to process your credit card order at this time. As soon as we receive that payment we will process your order immediately. Please contact us at ###-###-#### if you have any questions.

Best Regards,

Customer Service

I am very suspicious of the legitimacy of this business as they will not credit the shipping charges for two items that I never recieved. I am reporting this complaint to the Revdex.com in hopes that they can be investigated and this will not happen to any other unsuspecting customer. I also hope that Cautivadora will do the right thing and refund my credit card in the amount of $33.50. I have a copy of all my correspondence with this company and my orders that can be forwarded to you if needed. My order numbers are :

[redacted] and [redacted]

Please let me know if you find out any information regarding this company and action that they will take to resolve my issue.Desired Settlement: I would like Cautivadora to refund my [redacted] in the amount of $33.50 for the two shipping charges I have paid them for items never received (and then the [redacted] deal was cancelled) which were ordered on July *, 2013.

Sincerely,

Review: I placed an order with this company for a foldable hammock through a Living Social deal. Ultimately, the deal went sour and was cancelled due two the two parties not being able to come to terms with the contract. Cautivadora then stepped in and offered customers the option to purchase the deal at the same price or cancel the order. Since summer was already over and 10 weeks had already went by since my purchase, I chose to cancel. I have reached out to the company numerous times through and phone to receive the $16.01 I paid for shipping. One unanswered email generated an automatic reply stating that it would be visible in my account in up to 30 days. This was in the beginning of October. Now three months have went by and they have failed to give me back the shipping the promised to reimburse. this purchase was made July [redacted] and four months later, I have still been ignored by this company.Desired Settlement: I want the $16.01 that is rightfully mine.

Sincerely,

Review: I ordered a [redacted] voucher for a travel hammock. I went to site and placed my order, then I got an email saying that I had an unpaid balance owed, which is obviously not correct. I emailed back with no response and called the number they provided which was disconnected. I have not been able to get a hold of anyone. This is a [redacted]

company that continues to scam people with no help from anyone.Desired Settlement: I would like an appology. I know I can likely get a refund or credit from [redacted] but this company is still in business when they should not be. It is terrible that they have been allowed to continue to perpetrate a fraud without anyone making them accountable for their actions.

Sincerely,

Review: 8/**/13 I ordered a travel hammock through Living Social. 9/**/13 Living Social emailed to inform they would be canceling orders with Cautivadora. A few weeks later I received multiple emails regarding special prices for travel hammocks directly from the company. I purchased one for $39.99 (+$12.80 SH) on 12/**/13. I attempted to contact the company in mid-January with no response. I have attempted to access their website but it seems it has been deleted.Desired Settlement: Ultimately, I would like to have the product as it was intended to be a Christmas gift. If this is not going to happen, I want a full refund (including cost for shipping and product).

Review: On June [redacted] I purchased a deal through [redacted] for $59. The deal was through Cautivadora for a hammock. [redacted] provided a code that I used on the Cautivadora website. The code covered the purchase price of the hammock, but I still had to pay for the shipping charges of $23.40. Cautivadora NEVER shipped the hammock. They sent an email saying they had shipped my hammock, but this email did not contain any tracking information. I thought this was suspicious. Finally on September [redacted] sent an email saying they were refunding my $59 because they were aware that Cautivadora was not shipping anyone their hammocks. I have called Cautivadora's customer service line over 25 times between 8/*/13 & 10/*/13 and they have NEVER once answered or responded to the messages I've left. I also emailed them & they did not respond to that either. This company needs to be shut down! They have stolen $23.40 from me for shippping charges on an item that they did not ship. After looking online, I realize many others have been ripped off the same way that I have. It is not right that they are getting away with this fraud.Desired Settlement: I want the $23.40 that I payed for shipping on the hammock that I was never sent refunded. Also, I want this company to be investigated. They are clearly not honest & are currently getting away with stealing people's money. They should NOT be allowed to continue ignoring customers & collecting payment for items that they do not intend to ship.

Review: Ordered voucher for travel hammock through [redacted] on 7/*/13. Placed order with Cautivadora, including additional shipping. After 30 days the order status was still in processing. I was told it could take 4-6 weeks. After 60 days, order still in processing. I have never received any communication from Cautivadora. Now I'm told the deal is canceled and they will refund my shipping costs. Cautivadora has failed to answer my calls or emails. I could go on, but this is the same issue as the other 100+ complaints regarding this company.

No response from them. I finally received an email from [redacted] (not Cautivadora) saying the deal had been cancelled and I would receive a refund from LS. I promptly received that refund. Cautivadora finally sent an email saying the deal was no longer available and that the Shipping charges would be promptly refunded. I emailed them to say yes please refund my shipping I have no desire to order anything from you. No response. No refund to my account for weeks. Email them again asking please can I have an ETA on my shipping refund. No response. Email them over and over with NO response. To me this is basically stealing money, correct?Desired Settlement: I want a full refund of my shipping charges. Promptly.

I have been contacted by them (but not in regards to the Revdex.com complaint). The email was in regards to "unpaid orders". It was an email that made it seem like every single email and contact I have tried to make with them never happened! It is so frusrating. Here is a copy of the email:

" Dear Customers;

Review: I purchased an item online on July [redacted]. Received an email on August [redacted] saying it had shipped. Their website showed it was shipped UPS ground. I repeated tried to call or instant chat with the company to get a tracking number for my item. I got no reply. Finally, I got an email on August [redacted] saying it was shipped Fedex ground. This email included a number to call in case we didn't get an email from fed ex with a tracking number. When I called, I was given a tracking number, which when used on Fedex's website, did not come up with a package, no number found. I called again and was promised a call back. I never got the call back. The next day, that number said it was disconnected. I tried the number again the next day and got through, only to be promised again I would get a call back. I did not receive that call back. When I tried the tracking number again, it showed a package being picked up yesterday. Today I show it is not my package, as it is being delivered in NY state today, not in NJ.Desired Settlement: I want the item I ordered and I want it now. I want a valid tracking number. I'm tired of playing games.

Review: I purchased two Living Social on-line coupons (like a Groupon) for a sports themed grill cover for sale by this on-line department store on May **, 2013. The order was confirmed (via email to me) to be in processing on May [redacted]. Approximately three weeks later, I tried contacting the company as I had not yet received my product, nor any information regarding the shipment or a delay in shipment. I quickly discovered their customer service line, and any other options chosen from their phone menu, resulted in the customer being sent to voice mail. I left multiple voice mails and sent an email. In response to my email, I received a response stating they were experiencing heavy volume and to please allow about 72 hours for a customer service representative to respond to my inquiry. The next email I received was two to three days later stating my product had been shipped via UPS. A few days later, now it's about the end of June/beginning of July, I tracked the package. No tracking info on the package. I called UPS and they stated the sender has printed a label to create the tracking number, but they have no record of picking it up. It is not in their system anywhere. I then called Living Social to see what my options were regarding this matter. They tried to contact the company and received the same recorded message/voicemail as did I. Living Social eventually made contact with this company, and I recieved a voice mail from them last week. Unfortunately, I was unavailable to take the call. I called them back, left a VM, and never heard back. Today, July **, 2013, I tried calling again and someone actually answered the phone. I inquired about my order, and she responded by, what clearly appeared to be, reading a prepared response. When I asked her to stop reading and speak to me person to person so I could know if/when I was going to recieve my order, the line was disconnected. Even though I've been able to speak to a real person once in my 15-20 attempts, I still have no idea what has happened to my order and if/when I'll ever receive my order.Desired Settlement: I believe they have a responsibility to explain what the delay has been, why they haven't notified me of the delay, and to deliver the product as promised. I also think they should provide a partial refund or credit for my troubles and their complete lack of customer service and accountability. More importantly, I think they should be held accountable or liable for instituting a viable customer support system. It is virtually nonexistent and consumers are being taken advantage of. This company takes your money, doesn't deliver, and then is impossible to contact or reach for updates and answers. The product looks great and I'd love to have it, but at this point, I have more of an issue with giving this company my business. They don't deserve my hard earned money.

We apologize for the delay of the product and lack of information. We have been notified by Fedex that the product was delivered on August [redacted]. Please confirm receipt and we hope you enjoy the grill cover.

Sincerely,

Review: On 7/*/13 I purchased a hammock from Cautivadora through a Living Social deal. After waiting 7 weeks for the product and numerous attempts to contact both Living Social and Cautivadora, I've not received any response confirming the status of the order. Cautivadora did send one "shipping confirmation" which had incomplete information and did not include a tracking order. That was over 4 weeks ago and still no product. Living Social has answered my inquiries only to tell me to contact the Cautivadora.Desired Settlement: My first choice it have a refund. I don't want that company to keep my money. If that is not possible, I'll gladly take the product.

Review: I placed an order for a product that was to be delivered in 4-6 weeks; it is now 13 weeks and still no product; No LIVE person EVER answers the phone -- website says can take UP TO THREE WEEKS TO RETURN CALLS! I did receive an email response asking me to waiit 4-6 weeks for delivery, but 13 weeks alter still no product and still no reply to additional emails. I think thay may be fraudulent. I no longer want the product (purchased one elsewhere) and WANT A FULL REFUND!Desired Settlement: I emaile Cautivadora today and told them I would file complaints with Revdex.com, Consumer fraud dept, and [redacted].[redacted]. I think they may be a fraudulent business that is non existent and retains credit card info for fruad.
