I was trying to change my address online and was charged $59.99. This is ridiculous. I would not have authorized payment if this business had made it clear what I was paying, which I was under the impression it was $1

I was trying to change my address with the ***. This website came up and being that I was in a hurry to change my address, I entered my info. It then asked for my card info, as the *** site does. They charged me 79.99 to “file my change of address, with “many other services.” I called to dispute and cancel the order to be told that my change of address was already processed, minutes later. I was refunded half of the amount. I just wanted to change my address and with moving being such a stressful time, it’s disgusting that a business exists like this to scam people as they are moving, especially during ***. I now have to wait “5-7 business days” to see that refund and also not even sure that the *** has actually received my information.

Hi ***.We apologize for the misunderstanding. While we are not the ***, we did submit a Change of Address request to the *** on your behalf. As part of our fee, we also include many other services, such as notifying additional organizations of your move, registering your number on the ***y, and more. Nevertheless, we have a money back satisfaction guarantee. Our records show that on Jul 31, 2020 05:08 PM, you spoke to our customer service representative concerned about the price and after speaking to our customer service representative you agreed to keep the full package with all services included at a 50% discounted rate of $39.97. Then we charged your card of $39.97. As a measure of good faith, we issued a refund of $39.97 on Aug 03, 2020 06:31 AM which should be reflected in your account within 3-5 business days. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, and you’ll still be able to receive the other services at no charge. If you have any further questions, please call us at ***.Respectfully,Customer Support Team

I went online to do a change of address since I was not able to go into the Post Office due to COVID-19. I was charged $79.95 to change my address and I only moved 2 blocks! I don't want anyone else to be cheated by this company. It is unacceptable for a company to charge that kind of money for a change of address that the postal service charges $1 to complete. They offered me no remedy for this and in fact, they lied to me when they told me that my bank would be able to resolve this issue for me when all along they were keeping my money and had no intention of giving me any of my money back.

$79 to fill out a change of address form? It's a scam and I didnt even see anywhere stating they would charge $79 until I got my confirmation email and a charge notification from my bank. I tried getting a refund but they said it was "too late" and somebody had already processed my paperwork. They gave me half my money back but they said I would be put a a"do not call list" and that doesnt seem to have a tually happened. It's a RIP off and they need to announce how much they are actually charging before you put in your card info.

Tried to change my address online and clicked on a link of what I thought was USPS and from there I was redirected to a different website that was a third party website. They had no information of a $79.95 charge and said I was only to be charged $1.05.

My father needed to forward his mail and he thought he was on ***. They charged him $79.95. I called and they gave me a $40 credit immediately, so if you call to dispute they will give you at least a partial credit.

I typed in *** on to the website to change my address because I was moving, change my address popped up mentioning *** and I clicked it because it was the first thing that showed up and I saw *** on it as I was filling out the form towards the end they were asking for my credit card number there was no amount they were going to charge me but I had assumed that it would be like the last time I moved when I used *** which $1.05 and they charged me $59.95 to change my address before I even knew it was going on and then I found out that they were not the *** and now I was out $59.95 to have an address change that wasn't even changed to begin with and all I want is my money back and I kept trying to get my money back from them and I got no response and now when I try to search for the site it's nowhere to be found!

The masquerade as a. Official posts service site. They charge you without displaying the cost. They email you a "receipt" that does not show the cost. They do not give you an option to cancel.

This site pops up as one of the top choices when searching to change your address with ***. They will charge you $79.95 without telling you it will happen when you try to change your address through them.

I should have looked at a review but I thought it was the USPS. They charged $79.95 for something I just did myself. Total, blatant scam. Called them in 10 minutes and they still wanted to charge Me 50%. Fastest charge to my credit card ever. Why would Revdex.com list them as a B-.

Total copycat ripoff - continued to try to upsell even tho I loudly said I wanted nothing to do with them. I thought I was on *** and had given my ccd number - then something didn't look right. By the time I found their customer service number, the charge ws already on my card. Now they're saying 5-7 days processing time. Bet I'll be back on Revdex.com site soon

So I've gone through *** before to change my address and its been quite simple and very inexpensive.
I had to do so again last night, and was forced to follow through with "changemyaddress".
From that point, no matter how hard I searched I could not find where it said the $1 or $2 fee for the verification, but I decided to trust it considering I'd gone a similar route in the past. Next comes the services page, where they list things such as "Add to a do-not call list." and other such services. I admit I could have assumed the services had fees, even if they aren't listed. However, they did seem like free services, considering not a single dollar figure was found anywhere. After I chose a service or two, hoping it wouldn't put a huge dent in my wallet, I went on to find they had charged me 80 dollars.
From here things would have been as simple as having the order canceled, right? However when I called I was met with someone who didn't have much interest in refunding me. I was told first I could only receive a 50% percent refund, and this was while the other end of the phone call had an obnoxious amount of feedback so I could hardly hear what the representative was saying to me. Ultimately, I went on to demand that the order be canceled and my money be refunded because shady business practices don't fly with me. After the third demand, I was refunded the total-minus the $1.85 fee because the address change was still valid. This operation needs work. Bad business.

I wanted to change my address as I am in the process of moving, and I googled to change my address and this scam of a website not only "assisted" with changing my address but also charged me 79.95 when the actual *** website charges 1 dollar. I entered in my bank information thinking I was being charged the *** fees, not a ridiculous fee. This is a scam and should not be the first website to pop up, giving the illusion they are associated with ***.

I was led to believe that I was paying $1.00 to have my address changed and the next thing you know I'm being charged $59.95 this is so wrong. This is complete FRAUD!!! I WANT MY MONEY REFUNDED IMMEDIATELY!!! You shouldn't be allowed to take advantage of people. And the worse part is there's no way to get ahold of anyone.

I tried forwarding my mail as I am moving soon, and the change my address site charged me 59 dollars, I thought I was on usps where its only a 1.05..I notified my bank to block the charge but how do I prevent the site from getting the money. when your using the site, it doesnt tell you how much it is until you submit payment.

I needed to do a change of address and I typed in *** change of address on ***, I then clicked the first link which I thought was the main *** website. It was very misleading and I enter all my information and was charged $79.95. The website is changeaddress-mail.com phone numbers listed ***. “Confirmation” text from ***. I believe this to be a scam.

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

Regards

SCAM! Looks almost exactly like the *** website. Does not tell you the charge... for good reason because then you would know it was a scam. $79.95 charge! When you call, they will refuse to refund you completely, even if you just completed the transaction. Can only get $70 refunded.

Not COVID19 related

Changed my address, and was charged $79.95 there was no information of payment, and looked like the *** website that I've used to change my address in the past. Change of address is only about a $1 and was shocked to find a $79.95 charge on my bank account. Called, and they would only give me a "50% refund" and proceeded to put my information on call lists as well. Nothing on their pages shows anything of any charge of that type.
