Change It For You Services Reviews (%countItem)

I was given a refund after realizing and reading the very very fine print that I would be charged approximately $80.00 for an address change service. I was still charged $9.95 and $1.05 for address change services. I have yet to receive any mail to my new address and in my conformation email it provides the information of my new address which in fact was entered correctly. I have tried calling 11 times within the past hour and each time my call so happens to be "dropped." I want to know where my mail is going or if this service even officially changed my address? or was money just withdrawn from my account?

Hi ***.We apologize for the misunderstanding. While we are not the ***, we did submit a Change of Address request to the *** on your behalf. Based on what we are seeing in the *** system, *** is telling us "We are unable to modify your Change-of-Address at this time because it is still being processed. Please come back after 72 hours." We are including a screenshot of the address change order confirmation and error message from the *** for you to review. Here is the *** confirmation code if you would like to check the status of your order on your own directly on the ***.com website: 2002-0900-0042-7960. We take your concern regarding this situation very seriously, and that is why we are doing everything we can to make sure to fix the problem as soon as possible. As a measure of good faith, we have also refunded the $9.95 on February 13, 2020 that was charged to your card for our services. It may take up to 3-5 business days for the refund to reflect back into your bank or credit card statement. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact our customer service at 1-844-736-7759. We hope this provides some clarification and apologize for any confusion. Respectfully,Customer Support Team

I thought I was just simply changing my address but I saw a charge for 79 bucks on my account for something that cost me $1-$3 in the past.

Changing your address? *** the ***? Make sure you check the IP addresses of the top hits closely! I didn't, and I wound up at this scam site -- ashamed to say I fell for it, too. The forms do look remarkably like those at USPS, and knowing that the Postal Service does charge a small fee for online changes of address, I wasn't immediately concerned about paying online. However, when my confirmation email arrived, telling me that my forwarded mail would start arriving in "7-14 days," I became suspicious. The Post Office doesn't take a week to start forwarding mail. So I called to cancel my order. Didn't speak to a rep the first time and left a call-back number. They didn't call back, so I called again. This time I got a live person, and they said they would cancel the charge of $79.95 (I about fell off my chair when I heard that amount -- they never said what the charge was, either on their website or in the confirmation email). Of course, first they tried to talk me into keeping some of their 'services; at a reduced price (no thanks). This company uses an extremely dishonest marketing approach. AVOID! Now I will have to watch my bank account to make sure I don't see any additional fraudulent activity -- great.

SCAM! I can't believe I fell for this! I thought I was changing my address using the ***. Because of their positioning on google, I started clicking buttons and there you have it, I'm scammed! I did receive an email from them confirming order but NO WHERE does it indicate who they really are and how much they are charging! It wasn't until I went on to my online banking that I saw the charge of $79.95. Of course, in the email they provide a toll-free number to call if you want to cancel. But no one ever answers!!!! Even though my bank will protect me, what are these thieves going to do with my information. STAY AWAY! I usually check with the Revdex.com on everything I do, thinking you are communicating with the ***, you don't think you have to look up scammers!

This company is nothing but a scam they don’t tell you they’re going to charge $79.95 then when you call they continue to try to give you the runaround so you don’t cancel service and when you continue to object to it they state that they’re going to only charge you the 1.95 for the address change the address changed never goes through and the refund doesn’t hit your account I’ve had to stop my debit card and dispute the transaction They are charging all this money for services that are free and they do nothing for you I highly recommend you immediately cancel your card because they are selling off your information and continuing to try to charge your card for other services you did not authorize they are nothing but scammers and need to be shut down

Scam represents themselves as a legit change of address company with post office. Charged account without stating first that they would be charging. Called The company and they said I would be getting a refund within 24 hours I will be waiting for that but I don’t believe they are actually going to refund it. I have disputed this with my bank

Hi ***.

We apologize for the misunderstanding. While we are not the ***, we do offer a Change of Address service in addition to other convenient services not offered by the ***. As part of our fee, we also include many other services, such as notifying additional organizations of your move, registering your number on the ***, and more. Nevertheless, we have a money back satisfaction guarantee. Our records show that on Jan 3, 2020 10:23 AM you placed an order on our website. Less than 30-minutes later at 10:49 AM, you spoke to our customer service rep Andy and he was able to cancel and void your account. Because we were able to complete this cancellation within less than 1-hour, that means we were able to void the order before your credit card was ever charged for any actual fees. That means the charge you see on your statement was only a temporary authorization and hold on your credit card and because we were able to void and cancel the transaction before any final charges occurred, you should see that temporary transaction disappear from your statement within 3-5 business days. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. If you have any further questions, please call us at 1-844-736-7759.

I thought I was filing a change of address with the post office, but evidently I was on the wrong side and was billed $79.95. I want that to the website which said I had 30 days to cancel the service with no questions asked and gave a phone number. I tried to call the phone number and was told every single time I dialed to leave my information and someone would return my call. There is no way to reach this company to cancel the service.

Hi ***.

We apologize for the misunderstanding. While we are not the ***, we did submit a Change of Address request to the *** on your behalf. As part of our fee, we also include many other services, such as notifying additional organizations of your move, registering your number on the National Do-Not-Call Registry, and more. Nevertheless, we do have a money back satisfaction guarantee. Our records show that on Jan 02, 2020 02:47 PM, you spoke to our Customer Service representative Anita and expressed your concern about the price and it was agreed to keep only the change of address service for a fee of only $1.95. Thus your card was billed for the amount of $1.95 but not $79.95. As a measure of good faith, we issued a refund on Jan 03, 2020 for the amount of $1.95 which should be reflected in your account within 3-5 business days. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, and you will still be able to receive the other services at no charge. If you have any further questions, please call us at 1-844-736-7759.

I went online to change my address (with the expectiation of being charged $1.00 as in the past), however I just saw a charge of $79.95 from this company for an address change! Who/what is this company and why are they charging me $80 for what I should be paying $1.00? I never confirmed or agreed to a 79.95 charge and am not even sure how I got to the website or what scamming company this is. I need my money back asap!

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

Regards

I believed I was on the *** site I have used many times to update my address for $1. I was never asked to confirm a amount of purchase and the emailed receipt does not list a purchase amount. I was charged $79.99. This is obviously a scam that targets people looking for the *** site.

As I read the previous reviews..I can relate. I used this site just this afternoon and I put a stop payment thru my bank. Clearly a scam company who use a visual to look like the ***. Total ripoff!! Why is this allowed? Look at all the negative reviews!!!

I was attempting to change my address through the *** website and at some point was redirected to the website of change my address, but I thought it was simply a company that the *** has outsourced their service to, as the forms looked similar and there was no mention of the $79.95 charge that comes with their service. I immediately got an email saying the address change was not successful, and the customer service agent I spoke to only made vague statements about when it would be resolved, but there was no follow up email and now no one picks up when I call their customer service number. I would absolutely not have paid $80 to change my address had I known that's what they would charge me, but they don't make it clear at all that charge will be made when filling out their forms.
This business has not changed my address and they have not been forthcoming in the price of their seemingly fake service. I request a refund immediately.

I was led to believe I was on the *** website where I knew I would have to pay a $1.05 fee to change my address. After submitting I checked my credit card statement online which showed a $79.95 charge. I then saw in the confirmation email that it wasn’t *** at all. At no time was there a notice of amount being charged, and even in the confirmation email the amount is absent. I then called to cancel, because their website says I can cancel, and have yet to either reach a rep or be called back by a rep, even though I have called and waited multiple times and left my call back number multiple times. This was a complete scam and want a full refund. My Order #:

I went to change my mailing address with the US Postal Service, ChangeMyAddress.com is mimicking the US Postal Service. What I though was the actual legit website is a fraud and they charged my card for $79.95. Tried calling them to cancel as it states in the email and you never get someone to answer. They are a fraud and should have to have their website completely distinguished from the US Postal service.

Their website is the first search result on google for "USPS address change" they do not disclose that they are not the post office or that they will charge a fee. They charged me $44.50 without my consent and I want my money back. This is a fraudulent practice.

I went to the USPS website to do a change of address which should have cost $1. Somehow when I tried to checkout on USPS I apparently got redirected to this site without my knowledge. It didn’t tell me anywhere how much I was getting charged. But when I checked my bank statement later I had a charge for $79.95. I didn’t recognize the company name so I filed a claim with my bank. They initially refunded the money. But two months later, the just reversed that refund. So I’m out $80 from this company that is trying to pass off as USPS change of address.

In response to complaint submitted by Lauren Samuelsen (***): We are in receipt of your complaint against our company and hope to provide a resolution. Our website clearly states our services as well as our service charges, several times throughout our site. We have also clearly indicated we are a privately owned company and are in no way affiliated with any state or federal government agency, including the United States Postal Service. We also indicate, should you wish to submit an address change elsewhere, government forms may be obtained at USPS facilities at no charge. To provide further affirmation of our services and charges, we include a Terms and Conditions box, which you must accept before proceeding with your address change. In researching your order placed on 10/15/2019, it appears there was no attempt to contact Customer Support. The customer then issued a Chargeback with their bank regarding the pending charge of $79.95 for our services. Due to a Chargeback, we cannot issue a refund, as your bank has already issued a void/refund on your behalf. If you have any further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact our customer support during business hours, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm and Saturdays 8am-1pm (Mountain Standard time) toll-free at ***. Again, we apologize for your negative experience and hope this provides a resolution. We hope this provides some clarification and apologize for any confusion this may have caused. We look forward to helping you resolve this issue.

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because: When I checked out online I fully believed I was on the USPS website. I saw nothing that said otherwise. And when I checked out the amount I was being charged was not stated. This is misleading and dishonest and I think you know it. I filed a complaint with my bank because I did not recognize the charge. My bank did issue me a refundinitially, but they took it back. When I called them about it, they said the money was sent back to your “business.” So no, I have not received a refund from my bank. You will see proof of this in the copy of my bank statement.

I see numerous complaints about this “business” scamming other people in a similar fashion. This is not a legitimate business. They offer nothing above what the USPS offers. They are trying to trick people in carelessly going to their website instead of USPS and charging them $80 to do exactly what USPS does for $1.

Sincerely

Went to change the address of an individual I am a caretaker for. As previously indicated, change was supposed to be $1.00. When I found out I was charged $79.95, I immediately emailed to cancel my request. Not only is the charge still showing on my account, but so are multiple other charges I did not make. I had to cancel the card. Do NOT use this service.

Attempted to change the address online for my 95 year old father due to recent move. I thought I had reached the website for *** but apparently was routed to this business entity. Provided information for old and new address. They requested $1 to process the request using my credit card. Gave them the information before realizing I was not at the *** web address. I did not complete the processing of the transaction. I went directly to my online credit card account and saw a pending transaction for $79.95. Tried to contact the company but they were closed. Contacted my credit card company and they could not stop the transaction as it was pending. This happened on a weekend so I called the bogus company on Monday. They do not let you through to anyone you must leave your contact info for a call back. Nobody called back. Clearly a scam. This fraudulent company should be shut down. Looking at reviews online this has been going on for a number of years.
