address the comments and concerns which have been brought to our attention. Cheap Tickets is disheartened the customer felt their concerns were not resolved adequately by our company prior to seeking further actions from you. Cheap Tickets is responding to the consumer complaint from Francine [redacted] (Revdex.com case number [redacted]) regarding a hotel. We understand Francine [redacted] is requesting a refund. Our records show that Francine [redacted], or a person authorized for her account, booked an itinerary for two passengers with combined one-way flights with Egypt Air traveling from Cairo to Sharm El Sheikh on February 9, 2018, and returning on February 18, 2018, and a Standard Twin Room, Pool View for nine nights with Corral Hills Resort, checking in on February 9, 2018 for $728.83.On March 11, 2018 our customer contacted us requesting a refund due to dissatisfaction with the quality and cleanliness of the room during the stay. Pictures were provided. Our customer continued to contact us by phone requesting a refund. We contacted the hotel by phone and spoke to their Front Desk. They provided an email address where we could send requests. We sent the customer’s request for a refund and their pictures along to the hotel but have not received a reply. According to the standard policy of the reservation, nights which have been used are nonrefundable, and cannot be refunded without permission from the hotel.Cheap Tickets is a third-party website that offers travel products from vendors such as hotels. Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/07/20) */
Dear Mr[redacted]
The Revdex.com has shared your recent correspondence pertaining to the rate increase of your airline ticket during the booking process. I appreciate the opportunity to review your account and respond to your...

concerns.
Please know that CheapTickets is dedicated to making every customer experience a great experience. We do understand that it is frustrating if you see a price on a reservation that you would like to confirm, and it becomes unavailable. Inventory available on CheapTickets is also available to other travel agencies and airlines. There are millions of customers shopping throughout the day and since airline rates are based on availability, this can make rates increase very quickly with little or no notice.
Please let me explain in more detail how this can occur. As an online travel agency, airlines send CheapTickets inventory available for most every flight that they have to offer. Our site is updated several times daily with new information received. Once a fare is no longer available the website is designed to offer the next available price. If the next price available was not sent, the website will advise you that this price is no longer available and will not give another option.
Mr. [redacted] please be assured that CheapTickets' goal, as a website, is to be able to offer the lowest prices possible to our customers. Offering lower prices to customers is what benefits CheapTickets as a company, not offering higher prices that a customer may not be able to purchase.
Mr. [redacted] we do regret your disappointment in our services, but we do hope that we have the opportunity to serve you again in the future.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

CheapTickets.com is disheartened the customer felt their concerns were not resolved adequately by our company prior to seeking further actions from you.

CheapTickets.com is responding to the consumer complaint from [redacted]-[redacted] (Revdex.com case number [redacted]) regarding a refund request.

Our records show on November 26, 2016, Ms. [redacted]-[redacted] self-booked a pay later hotel reservation via itinerary #[redacted] for a total of $96.13. We understand from Ms. [redacted]-[redacted] complaint, she called the hotel to cancel the reservation as it was stated in her confirmation email prior to the penalty period. The customer stated the hotel advised her to contact [redacted] which was not the booking agency she used, the booking was never canceled and she was fully charged for it. Ms. [redacted]-[redacted] also stated after contacting Cheaptickets for assistance no proper resolution was provided. The customer is requesting a refund of the amount paid for the reservation due to incorrect information provided by the hotel and Cheaptickets.
Cheaptickets regrets that an unauthorized charge was made to Ms. [redacted]-[redacted] credit card for the canceled hotel reservation booked on our website. At this time, we are requesting for the customer to submit a copy of the bank statements showing the charge made by the hotel. The customer may submit the information through the complaint submission on the Revdex.com website. Upon receipt of this information we will further assist her with processing a refund of the amount paid for the reservation and resolve this issue.
We thank you for allowing us the opportunity to address the issues that were brought to our attention.  If you have any further questions or concerns regarding this matter, please feel free to contact us.

address the comments and concerns which have been brought to our attention. Cheap Tickets is disheartened the customer felt their concerns were not resolved adequately by our company prior to seeking further actions from you. Cheap Tickets is responding to the consumer complaint from Guyana [redacted] (Revdex.com case number [redacted]) regarding a package. We understand Guyana [redacted] is asking for a refund of $7000.00.Our records show a package for three adults was purchased on August 27, 2017 by Guyana [redacted] or a person authorized for her account that included roundtrip flights with [redacted] Airways traveling from Yerevan to Male on September 1, 2017, and returning on September 5, 2017, a Deluxe Room for four nights with the Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa for check-in on September 1, 2017, and Package Protection Plan coverage with [redacted], for $4740.24.Cheap Tickets is a third party booking site that provides travel items for sale from our vendors. The policies, terms and fare rules of those items are provided by the vendors and we are unable to change them. At the time of purchase, we reviewed the information with our customer and provided it for further review at the customer’s convenience from their online itinerary and email confirmation. The fare rules of the flights included:• Tickets are nonrefundable.• For changes a fee of $85.00 is charged per ticket plus any fare difference. In the case of No Show the fee charged is $170.00 per ticket instead. The hotel’s Change and Cancel Policy advises, “This reservation is non-refundable and cannot be canceled or changed.” The property further advised of additional charges for rollaway beds, airport shuttle, boat transfers, buffet breakfast, and advises that the list provided may not be comprehensive. The insurance company provides limited coverage for some benefits. Claims must be filed to the insurance company for approval. Coverage includes:• Post-Departure Trip Interruption Benefit, up to the amount in the Schedule, if due to your, an Immediate Family Member’s, Traveling Companion’s, or Business Partner’s, Sickness, Injury or death or Other Covered Events as defined…• Medical Expense/Emergency Assistance Benefits: up to the amount on the Schedule, for the following Covered Expenses incurred by [the covered person] (as described in the terms)• Contact information for [redacted] was provided should for questions/inquiries, filing claims, and 24-hour emergency service, and is available from the itineraryWe received a call from our customer on September 1, 2017, inquiring about making an exchange of their ticket. The policy was provided from the terms above. Our customer chose not to make a change during that call. We didn’t receive a call back to make any changes, or for assistance during the rest of time that the travel was scheduled. We received a call from our customer on January 26, 2018, requesting a refund of the entire package due to dissatisfaction with the hotel, with the main issues being bug bites and a missing hotel amenity. We advocated for our customer and followed up with the hotel multiple times. A refund wasn’t offered to us from the hotel. We emailed our customer to make them aware. As a gesture of good will, Cheap Tickets provided a coupon worth up to $75.00 towards a hotel or hotel package booked in their account within 12 months. We want our customers to be aware that we can advocate for them during travel as well. If they are unable to resolve an issue with a hotel, we will call the hotel to try to prevent the issue from becoming a problem with their stay. We regret to hear our customer was dissatisfied with their trip and that it wasn’t as they expected. Regarding their billing request for a refund of the package, we will be unable to refund any part of the package, or provide any other compensation, because the necessary terms and policies were provided prior to travel for our customer to be aware of what they would or wouldn’t be able to do.  We thank you for allowing us the opportunity to address the issues, brought to our attention. Dear Mr. [redacted],
The Revdex.com has shared your recent complaint regarding a package
booking. My understanding is that you were not aware that the resort had an extra
fee that was not included in the original total. You are stating that the confirmation
for the booking had stated,...

"taxes and fees included."
On behalf of CheapTickets, I apologize for the confusion. If you can please respond and
give me the CheapTickets record locater confirmation for your booking, as well as the email
address on the CheapTickets account that the booking was made in, I will investigate and
get back to you.
Thank you for reaching out to us in this matter.

CheapTickets Customer Relations

Dear Eboni, The Revdex.com has shared your recent correspondence with CheapTickets so that we may assist you further. It is my understanding that you booked a reservation on our website; then called to have the credit from a canceled trip applied to that booking. You are upset because...

you found this could not be done. I appreciate the opportunity to review your account, and respond to your concerns. On behalf of CheapTickets, I sincerely apologize for the disappointing experience, and the inconvenience this has caused. Please know in order to use a credit from a canceled trip; you must call CheapTickets and have them book the new reservation; so they can apply the credit. Once you have made a reservation online; there is no way to go back and apply the credit, as this is considered a new booking.   You still have a future credit on [redacted] Airlines in the amount of $146.60. When you are ready to rebook; you will need to contact our customer service department. You will be responsible for the airline penalty fee of $90, plus any additional fare. The credit has to be used by the same passenger, and on the same airline.   However, the reservation for the [redacted] Airlines portion of the itinerary has a $200.00 change, plus any fare difference. As the original booking amount was for $119.60, the change fee is greater than the ticket value; therefore, this ticket no longer has any value.   Eboni, in order to provide our customers with the best possible fare rates and availability, Cheap Tickets offers Combined One Way fare flight reservations. These reservations include two one way flight reservations priced together on one itinerary. At the time of booking the customer is advised that they will have two separate flight reservations, and each will have their own separate set of terms and conditions and separate change fees from each of the airlines.   Cheap Tickets, as a travel agency, serves as a third party intermediary with travel providers such as hotels, car rental agencies and airlines and is subject to the rules and restrictions of those providers.  Each airline has its own specific set of policies and procedures, as does each ticket purchased or package reserved.    [redacted] Airlines and [redacted] Airways were the operating carriers and merchants of record. You were charged by each airline directly, not CheapTickets. The change fees and increases in airfare are set and also collected by the airline. We hope you understand that we must abide by the terms and conditions set forth by airlines.    During the booking process, we make every effort to ensure that our customers have a clear understanding of their selections, and of the terms and conditions associated with the travel items they are purchasing. We provide your selection details on several pages for your review, including the final payment screen. When acting as their own travel agent it is each customer’s responsibility to review the details of their itinerary prior to finalizing any reservation.   Eboni, unfortunately, we are unable to offer a refund on a non-refundable ticket that the terms and conditions were advised correctly. We appreciate your business, and we hope to have an opportunity to serve you in the future.   Sincerely,   Jeanna [redacted] CheapTickets Customer Relations Chicago, IL

Complaint Department     Re: CheapTickets Case #: O-[redacted]     Dear Revdex.com,     Thank you for forwarding the Revdex.com consumer rebuttal from Ana [redacted].  We regret to hear Ms. [redacted] did not accept our response and/or resolution offered.   As previously advised, on August 14, 2017, the emailed confirmation that was sent to the customer on April 6, 2017, the confirmation advised the customer that the tickets were not yet confirmed and that may take up to 24 hours. There was a link that was provided to the customer on the confirmation for the customer to review the status of the tickets; which disclosed that the tickets were booked and ticketed.   The customer did not contacted CheapTickets to cancel the reservation within the timeframe.  The flight reservation cancellation timeframe with CheapTickets is within 24-hours after the booking.   CheapTickets contacted [redacted] Airlines, who advised that the customer was tagged as a no-show and that the tickets have no value. CheapTickets serves as a third party intermediary with travel providers such as hotels, car rental agencies, and airlines and is subject to the rules and restrictions of those providers. [redacted] Airlines was the operating carrier and merchant of record (the entity that received the funds and the company that charged the credit card) on this itinerary and not CheapTickets. We must adhere to the airline’s policies   Based on the above, CheapTickets is unable to honor the refund request. CheapTickets request that the Revdex.com advises the customer, we consider this issue as closed and will no longer address this issue any further. We thank you for allowing us to address this matter further.     Sincerely,   Delia [redacted] Corporate Customer Service

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 9, 2015/07/01) */
Dear Ms. [redacted],
The Revdex.com has shared your recent correspondence pertaining to a full refund of a package booked via the website. I appreciate the opportunity to review your account and respond to your concerns.
From your...

complaint, an air, hotel and car were booked as a package on May 23, 2015 for travel on May 25, 2015. Due to a payment processing error, the package was canceled and a full refund was provided. This, however, was not the case. You are asking CheapTickets to honor the cancellation policy for the full refund as you had every intention of traveling. Furthermore; your perception of CheapTickets has become discontented due to the service you have received.
Ms. [redacted], I do understand your frustration in this matter; travel can be a hectic experience, and CheapTickets does try to meet the expectations of our customers with terms and conditions associated with ticket bookings.
Upon review of the documentation; the total amount of the package was $2103.80. Every component of a package has varying policies.
The airline component was fully refunded including the service fee; the airline ticket was $1626.40, and the service fee was $13.98 for a total of $1640.38.
The car portion of the package was only a reservation; no payment was taken for the car as this was an estimate, and the agency would collect all funds regarding the car at the time of return.
The hotel amount was $427.42. The hotel had a cancellation policy of "Cancellations or changes made within 2 days prior to 4:00 PM local hotel time on the day of arrival are subject to a $141.72 charge. Cancellations or changes made after 4:00 PM local hotel time on the day of arrival are subject to a 100% charge."
CheapTickets offers two types of hotel rate options on our website, retail rates and prepaid rates. The retail rates may be higher, but have fewer restrictions and far more lenient cancellation policies. The prepaid rates may offer substantial savings for those who are able to abide by the more restrictive conditions which accompany these lower rates. These rates must be prepaid, have stricter cancellation policies, and are based on specific dates of stay.
As the cancellation was made after the deadline, the hotel was refunded in the amount of $328.90. The remaining amount of $98.52 was retained by the hotel.
Nevertheless, I do understand your point; as the package was canceled due to a system error, you should not be penalized for the refund.
CheapTickets will process the remaining amount of $98.52 to the card ending in [redacted] This will process today, July 1, 2015. Please allow 3 to 5 days for the credit to appear on the statement. This will appear as a CheapTickets credit, not the hotel.
Therefore, the total amount of the package has been refunded.
We take our customers' comments very seriously, and I thank you for your honest feedback.
Ms. [redacted], we thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. Your business is truly valued, and we hope you will provide us with a future opportunity to serve you with your travel planning needs.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

We understand Mr/Ms. ** is inquiring about a flight credit for a previously cancelled reservation.   We researched this matter further and our records show a flight reservation booked November 25, 2015 for travel on December 2, 2015. Departing from Beijing to Chicago on [redacted] Airlines; regrettably credits with the airlines are only good for 1 year from the date of issue or from the date of travel in any case the tickets have since expired and have no remaining value.   We regret our response couldn’t be more favorable in this matter. Please note that Cheap Tickets serves as a third-party intermediary with travel providers such as hotels, car rental agencies, and airlines, and is subject to the rules and restrictions of those providers. [redacted] Airlines was the operating carrier and merchant of record (the entity that received the funds and the company that charged the credit card) on this itinerary. We hope you understand that we must adhere to the rules and regulations of the air carrier, including their cancellation and refund policies.     We thank you for allowing us the opportunity to address the issues that were brought to our attention. If you have any further questions or concerns regarding this matter, please feel free to contact us. Sincerely, Kiki [redacted] Corporate Customer Service

allowing us to address the comments and concerns which have been brought to our attention. Cheaptickets is disheartened the customer felt their concerns were not resolved adequately by our company prior to seeking further actions from you. Cheaptickets is responding to the consumer complaint from Krystal [redacted] (Revdex.com complaint # [redacted]) regarding the customers refund request. Our records show on October 16th, 2017, Ms. [redacted] self-booked a Cheaptickets.com hotel reservation via booking number [redacted], with travel date commencing on December 23rd, 2017. The checkout date was scheduled for December 31st. The total amount of the booking was $607.67USD. We understand from Ms. [redacted]’s complaint, she contacted Expedia on December 05, 2017, and asked if she could cancel the reservation and be fully refunded. The reservation the customer booked was a non-refundable reservation. In this type of case we contact the hotel to ask if they would authorize a refund for the hotel reservation. The authorizing manager at the hotel was not available until December 9th at which point Ms. [redacted] was informed that no refund had been authorized to be refunded. Ms. [redacted] no longer contacted Cheaptickets to inquire regarding the decision made by the hotel. Ms. Pongrats is now requesting a full refund from Cheaptickets since the hotel did not authorize a refund. In reviewing the customer’s reservation, we have confirmed that the reservation was already in penalty when the booking was made. This is a normal process which means that if the reservation is non-refundable, and the customer agrees to book, then they understand they are not going to receive a refund for any reason. In the future we do suggest Ms. [redacted] books a refundable reservation in case any changes need to be made to her reservation. As you may know, Expedia.com acts as an independent agent for reservations for airlines, car rental companies, and hotels. We are unable to provide a refund without authorization from the hotel. We have further researched Ms. [redacted]’s complaint, and after giving the matter our full consideration we are unable to honor Ms. [redacted]’s request. Cheaptickets must abide by the terms and conditions agreed to at the time of booking and as a result, Cheaptickets is unable to issue a refund. We thank you for allowing us the opportunity to address the issues that were brought to our attention. If you have any further questions or concerns regarding this matter, please feel free to contact us. Sincerely, Daniel [redacted] Tier 3 Customer Service
