A Dell branded memory stick was identified as being defective Per Dell warranty documents, memory carries a lifetime warranty Nobody at Dell - phone tech support, some other phone support, phone sales, warranty chat - wants to honor their warranty and try to claim that because the system it was installed in is out of warranty, the memory is, tooHowever, that particular memory is clearly and per their own configuration documents NOT part of the original systemTherefore, that system has no bearing on the warranty status of this defective memory
