I have had the worst experiance with this companyI spent almost 7k here and I got furniture of poor quality and appalling customer service

I have not received a refund for over months from them because of a layaway that was canceled without notifying me
I put some furniture in the layaway it was awhile since I had made a payment on it The store took upon themselves to cancel the layaway without notifying me So I was told that I had a refund of $due to me I had to fill out some paperwork it was taking a while and I had not heard from them so I went to the store in person to see why I had not receive my refund they told me that they had lost the paperwork and I had to fill out the paperwork again They told me it was going to to weeks to here from someone so weeks went by and I had not heard from anyone so this time I called them I talk to a ***, she stated that their accounting office is responsible for the refund and she couldn't do anything and I had to wait on them to pay me So I waited about weeks still had not heard from anyone I called the store again and this time I spoke to Manager **

Terrible don't ever expect your delivery to get to your place on time! I live in a condo with elevator restrictions which means when I purchase a piece of furniture city actually calls my building to confirm my delivery time! What a crock of crap today will be the second time these people have screwed up my delivery time and they try to blame it on some garbage that the system routed the truck wrong..come on twice now! Bologna no the problem is they load the truck to there convienience I'm assuming starting out west for deliveries which is where the warehouse is then working there way towards the beach period! Terrible business practice if city doesn't come to the beach until the evening then don't confirm a morning delivery period which they want to charge you a delivery fee for furniture being delivered at there convenience and not the customer!

Never again would I make a purchase from City Furniture. This was our first purchase and will be the last. We purchase a light wood dining table from the Palm Beach Lakes location. The floor model at the store had the right color tone and very minimum distressed marks on the dining table. Much to our surprise, the table that was delivered to my home was anything but nice. The color tone was two shade lighter and the distressed marks were deep, visible and all over the table. We send pictures of the damage to contact customer service to have the table swap out. The customer service representative was terrible and rude. She told us that the "distress" marks are part of the design and that there is nothing they can do. I explain to her that the floor model had very minimum marks and color tone was different. We weren't even told by the sales representative at time of purchase that the product that we received would so much different from the floor sample. City Furniture is deceptive. They sell bad products and makes no accommodation for customer satisfaction. Buyers be aware. Ashley furniture is a sister company of City Furniture and customer satisfaction is the same way. Plain bad business.

I ordered 1 small table and 4 chairs on 11/30/16 from Wellington, FL store. On my delivery date of 11/30/16, 1 table and 3 chairs were delivered. I was told that on Thurs., 12/1/16 my 4th chair would be delivered. I was given a window of 9AM - 6PM, so my husband had to stay home all day. At 3 PM, he called and was told that driver was on stop 7 and we were stop 12. At 6 PM, he called and was told that we were the next stop and driver was in our area. At 7 PM, he called and was told that the driver cancelled the delivery. WHAT?????? We waited 9 hours. I spoke with a manager in customer service (866-930-4233) and was told the best they could do was re-schedule me for Sunday 12/4. Why can't they fit ONE SMALL CHAIR (it's a kitchen chair) on any of their trucks??? Customer service person was so rude. It's unacceptable to wait 2 full days just for 5 small pieces of furniture.

City Furniture strikes again!!!! Worst Customer Service Ever!!! They called and scheduled an appointment to repair the 2 matching leather recliners as the parts were in. They then called to confirm at 9am to 1pm window of time. I took the day off from work. They call as I am sitting waiting for them to show up and tell me that they would have to re-schedule because they can't fit the parts on their truck. I have been waiting for 12-14 weeks for a repair on these recliners. I bought their 3 year in home repair or replace warranty which is a load of bull. They now tell me that the pieces of leather that they are replacing are not even guaranteed to match. That is not what I was told when I purchased the warranty coverage. They need to just replace these recliners! The bonded leather is de-laminating on both recliners after 2 years. In my opinion, I would think twice about 1: buying bonded leather, 2: buying City Furniture's In Home Service/Replacement Warranty and 3: buying anything from City Furniture. Poor customer service, you have to wait for months for a repair, they lie to you to sell the product and warranties. They don't stand behind what they sell!

Like many others. The initial shopping experience was ok.
it was the follow-up customer service that was a nightmare. Too many delays with the delivery of one item; continued back orders for a replacement item under warranty.

customer service people that are rude and not helpful. their representative are trained robots who do not care one whit about the customer.

This store does not make any attempt to accommodate the customer or really get to the bottom of the issue.

The corporate office just forwards complaints to the local store owner/manager, who is then never available.

This business is definitely not customer friendly. I would not recommend them to anyone.

I purchased a couch and two chairs for $3,500 from City Furniture along with a three year replacement warranty. After delivery the furniture was found to be infested with termites. Customer service has been non-responsive and evasive. Salesman and store manager say there is nothing they can do. Avoid this furniture chain as customer service and the honoring of their warranties after the sale do not exist.

We purchased a sectional sofa and within a few months the stitching started to come undone. They agreed to repair it if we were to bring it to their warehouse! But they could send someone out if we paid $50 for them to send him for a house call but the repair was free! What a joke! Needless to say we agreed to pay to have it repaired because after all it's a new couch right?! And it was cheaper for us to pay the fee than to get someone to pick it up from our house and take it to the warehouse and back. Not long after the leather started flaking! The leather was flaking on areas where it didn't receive any wear and tear. It didn't happen where we sat or on the arms, it occurred in between the cushions, on the top of the back and on the sides! We paid nearly $2000 for a couch that didn't even last a year! It's absurd!

When we contacted customer service they responded with giving us a 30% discount on another purchase! How insane is that?! As if we would make another purchase from them! I expressed how displeased I was with their type of resolution and they never replied! I've called them three times and emailed twice regarding the peeling and flaking...Their quality of merchandise is subpar along with their customer service! Despicable to say the least. Don't waste your hard earned money on any of their products.

They could've had a lifelong customer and now they've lost us and all our friends. It's great advertisement for them when we have people over to our home and they ask "Hey I thought this was a new couch, what happened?" We say, "It's from City Furniture!" Not impressed.

Dont be fooled by free shipping...that just means they drop it off at your door and leave, with no set up. city furniture still charges you for shipping, they call it premium delivery to set it up for you. nothing in this world is free...if it is true good to be true..it probably is! good trick city furniture!..excellent play on advertisement words to suck the consumer in.

City Furniture strikes again, after swapping out my bedroom set because it was put together wrong I get end tables that won't close and one that is chipped. The store manager [redacted] will no doubt tell me yet again it's not a problem meaning it's not HIS problem as I am the one who will have to come back to the store visit number 5 to battle it out to get a new/new table. Ten Thouand Dollars just doesn't get you what it used to!

I purchased two recliners and a electric recliner sofa and took delivery on Mon Oct 12th, 2015.. Immediately I observed the seams on the sofa didn't align and stated I wouldn't accept delivery on the defect. While on the phone with customer service [redacted] the delivery man pounded on the cushion until the seams were aligned.
I observed the sofa and informed the delivery man it isn't aligned and he went on to state,give it a week and it will correct itself from being wrapped in the shipping plastic. He took the phone and made a statement to Ingrid C that he fixed the problem. I received the phone and stated to Ingrid C. that it wasn't fixed and she stated she would record my complaint. Delivery wouldn't take back the sofa because he still has more deliveries on Oct 13th before returning to Ft. Lauderdale.
On Sat Oct 17th, I went to The Villages City Furniture store to complain about the sofa to sales [redacted] which served no purpose, as the only solution she proposed was following the warranty procedure.. I on the 17th went home and followed City Furniture procedure including pictures. I was informed I would hear back within 48 hours by [redacted] As of Oct 21 they remain mute....
