Where can I begin with this horrible experience in purchasing a bunk bed from City Furniture for my young children ( and year old)We noticed the wood planks had some extensive marks and holes supporting the bedAt first, we didn't think nothing of it but as time passed the bed started to release some saw dust powder unto the covers of the bottom bed and the floor under the bedThen came the dead bugs and live bugs falling onto the bed coversThis is when I knew something was definitely not rightA call to customer care (long hold to actually get a live person) and they said they would set up an appt with their in home pest control companyThis took a few days too long to have the actual pest control person scheduled in part by city furniture not having the correct fax # to fax the service orderI had to get involved and call pest company to make sure they received the order and schedule appt to figure out what bugs I had in my houseAt this point my children were not sleeping in bunk beds that we purchased for themAs soon as the pest control tech arrived he saw the sample of the bugs I collected in a Ziploc and the saw dust on the mattress and confirmed we had powder post beetlesHe stated that bed needed to go because in his words there was a severe infestation of these bugs(this was also told to the customer care rep in front of me)The wood was their home and they were there to stayApparently the saw dust we thought was on the bed was actually the beetles droppings !!! So these bugs were having a feast and dropping their excrement on the bed my kids sleep onHe immediately called customer care and they had him waiting for eternity so that he can give them a report of what he foundCustomer care rep showed no sympathy at all(Like a trained robot just regurgitating some corporate City Furniture lingo)Her only resolution was to have a new bed delivered however it would take almost week because according to her they were in the holiday seasonYou would think the fact that they delivered an infested bed with bugs I would have presidency over other customers with no issuesInstead I was left to have this bed with bugs in my home exposing a spread throughout my homeThe pest control tech mentioned these bugs are worse to get rid of then termitesThe customer service rep did mention if I wanted it sooner I can go disassemble the bed and taking to their Tamarac warehouse and exchange itAre you serious? This shows how unempathic and clueless these people areBefore the exchange came my husband contacted customer care spent again an eternity holding to make sure that the exchange would include the entire bed including mattressGlad he did call they were just going to exchange the bed and we would have to stay with the nasty mattress which had beetle excrements on itYou would think that would be common sense to also replace that as wellFinally the day of exchange came to my home and I was assured my customer care that this was a premium delivery and the wood planks had been inspected to make sure no creatures had a homeI took time off work to receive delivery and to my surprise the delivery people told me the boxes were sealed and we could open in my house and check(Really???) Premium delivery? Sealed boxes brought into my home and the wood planks were damaged as well, visible excess of saw dust in the box and this excess saw dust on my floorOne of the delivery guys swept the floor and right there in my dust pan we saw two dead bugsThe wood was the same as the first however not as bad but potential was thereI told them to take it that I did not want another bed with bugsDriver had to call customer care and confirm they could leaveThey suggested I stay with new (still infested bug) bed and I could pick another oneI politely said no thanks that is not staying in my houseNote I already had the previous infested bed in my home for over a weekNOW we have no bed for our kids after we had fully paid for this piece of furnitureWhat is more insulting is that this company is trying to nickel and dime me for the inconvenience this company has made me go through due to their negligenceI wish I had read the reviews on Facebook before I decided to purchase from this companyI would compare their customer care dept to a cross between Spirit airlines and a used car sales manWhy call it customer care when you really don't care about the customer at all because if you did you would find a resolution to the issue and show some empathy for their problem with their purchase instead of trying to nickel and dime customers Like a used car sales man they try to keep you on hold for long periods of time in hopes of wearing you downPLEASE PLEASE PLEASE stay away from CITY FURNITURE do not give this company any of your hard earned money for crappy customer service and even worse bad and damaged furnitureThis is still a pending issue

I am currently having the worst shopping experience with City FurnitureI received my order on 8/and noticed that it was missing small but crucial pieces that are needed to complete the assemblyOnce I noticed that they were missing, I called up and followed the process in order to receive these piecesI was told that I would hear back from someone in 24-48hrsI decided to followup with another phone call the next day, to see if we could expedite the processOn 8/I was told that they would be shipping out immediately and I could expect them in 3-business daysI never received an updateOn the fifth business day, I still had not received the components and called for an updateI was told the latest they would arrive would be the following dayI did not receive them, so I decided to call back again to see where they are and why I haven't received my partsI was now told that these parts were on back order and that I would be expecting them not the upcoming Friday, but the Friday after thatThat would be tomorrow, 9/I still have not received themI spoke to someone earlier this evening and was now told that the parts that I need to complete the assembly of my bedroom set will be in on 9/If it weren't for me contacting City Furniture for updates on this, I would have never knownNobody ever reached out to me to inform, me of the current situation of partsThis is unacceptable and needs to be rectified immediately

Poor customer relations department so if you do have a issue don't expect them to provide proper customer service it's just not going to happenThey are a bunch of lackey robots and need proper training in how to effectively address customer issuesI would buy anything from them ever again huge mistake

Complete lack of responsiveness to warranty request
I bought a couch and chair from City Furniture on 7/27/ I included an "In Home Service" warranty in the purchase (Invoice XXXXXX)
The arm rest on the left end of the couch is leaning outwards
On 3/3/I sent an email to City Furniture customer service describing the problem A picture was included
On their website they state that a reply will be provided within hours
On 3/6, I called City Furniture to request a status After waiting on hold for over minutes, I was told that the email had been received, but they didn't get the picture I re-sent the email and picture to Taviaj
On 3/9, I called the warranty number Once again, I waited on hold for an extended period of time The person that I spoke to could see my email, but could offer no explanation as to why an appointment had not been set She said that someone would be contacting me within hours

Damage to doorframe when a sofa was delivered
On 4/19/16, they delivered a sofa and were having problems getting it in the house I did examine the sofa once it was inside and it seemed fineHowever, after the delivery men left, I saw the damage to the door frame It was severe and I'm sure they need what they did, since they were having problems getting the sofa into the house I immediately took pictures and called customer service and also went to the store Now I am being told that unless the delivery drivers admit to causing the damage, they will not pay for the damage This was a brand new house and everything was new The damage wasn't there before hand and I have a video to prove it They need to fix the damage or pick up the furniture and refund my money so I can then afford to fix the damage They have told me for a week that they have tried to get in touch with the drivers It doesn't take that long to get in touch with them
