I received a gift certificate from my real estate agent years ago from Ashley's when I closed on my home I recently moved to Pompano Beach and went to Ashley's in Fort Lauderdale looking for a bed side table I found the table I wanted ($148.00) (sku 1639346) and proceeded to purchase it They would not take my gift card because this is not a corporate store They told me I could redeem it on line I went on line to order (the online price for the same table was $225.00) There was not an option to pay with a gift card so I got on their "chat" option to ask how to use my gift card to purchase on line I was told you cannot use gift cards on line So, I have a worthless $gift card that I cannot use If I buy a McDonalds gift card they are good at all locations (corporately owned or not) Ashley's should not sell gift certificates if they will not

Purchase furniture love seat, and couch and bed to be delivered on Saturday We flew in from Maryland to close on apartment and then have delivery on the Saturday As I did not hear anything I called the store and was told it was not on truck as there was a cent discrepancy and that the computer had cancelled our orderI told them I needed the furniture as we had no bed to sleep in and no couch to sit on except for the tiled floorI was then told the loveseat wAs on back order and they could put everything else on the pm truck to be delivered before midnight but homeowners association won't allow deliveries after After talking to the supervisorShe told me it would be on the truck for Sunday in the amI asked her for a first stop as we were flying home to Maryland on the Sunday, but was told no promise She would call me after pm for a delivery dateI then heard back from the salesman to let me know he couldn't deliver before

Defective Outdoor Pub table
I purchased an outdoor pub table for my covered lanai After several months the table top began to crack and peel When I reported it to their warranty department along with photos of the damage, I was told that due to the weather in Florida the damage wasn't covered In other words, they sold me an outdoor piece of furniture that could not withstand the outdoor weather If I had been made aware of this fact when I made the purchase, I obviously would never have bought this table

My experience with this furniture store has been the worseI bought some dinning room furniture which arrived damagedThe delivery was set to arrive between 3:00-6:30pm but they arrived at 7:30pm without previously notifying meWhen I expressed my issues about the defective furniture to the delivery employees, they told me to buy pads from the " ***" to fix the issuesI contacted customer service and the store seller about the furniture the next day,I provided them with pics of damaged furniture and they told me a technician will contact me between 24-hours to set up an appointment to repair themAfter days of receiving the damaged furniture and waiting over hours to receive a call from the "technician" which never called, I continue to deal with a very unprofessional business that does not take care of the customer satisfactorily and does not fulfill their promisesThis business should not be allow to remain open,

This is the first and only time that I will purchase furniture through CityFurnitureI purchased a bedroom set, queen mattresses, and twin mattresses from CityFurniture in Naples on 10/The purchase included free shippingAccording to the CityFurniture website at that time, their free shipping included pick up of mattresses as part of their Haiti Relief campaignI asked the salesman to confirm that the mattresses would be picked as part of free shippingHe confirmed that our old mattresses would be picked up when the furniture was deliveredThis is the main reason that I purchased through CityFurnitureWhen the furniture was delivered on 11/2, I was told by the deliverymen and customer service that CityFurniture has changed their policy and no longer picks up mattressesI called the salesman and he was unaware of any changes to the policyTo try and uphold the policy the salesperson started trying to identify a non-profit organization that could pick up the mattresses but no one is able to come today and most will not be able to come for a weekI am now forced to pay a company to remove the mattressesCityFurniture provided absolutely no supportI will never purchase another product through this company and will caution my friends when shopping for furniture
