Review: I purchased a Coby Kyros Tablet 11/**/12 as Christmas gift for my child. I actually purchased 2 of these items. On June *, 2013 I contacted Coby due to one of the tablets purchased quit working. It would not turn on charge or anything. I was advised by the consult via phone conversation that he would send me an email with instructions on how to return the product for repair or replacement. The product was then sent back to Coby on 6/**/13 via US. Mail with tracking. The information said it would take approximately 6-8 weeks from receipt. I contacted Coby for a status and a tracking number via the phone on July **, 2013. I was then advised that the table had been processed on July *, 2013 and to call back on July **, 2013 for my tracking number. Well I started contacting them again after July **, 2013. Every number that I called refers me back to their website. I have sent multiple emails with return receipt and non have been opened.

I finally contacted WalMart since the table was purchased from their site and they advised me that Coby was no longer in business. This upsets me because I have spent over $200 in tablets for my children and one is without a tablet and the other tablet will probably stop working also so I will be without on both.Desired Settlement: I honestly would like to be refunded for the full amount of my product. Since the company is out of business I would like to have a full refund for both tablets, because I am going to have to end up replacing both tablets anyway. I would also like my shipping refunded which was $15.00. The price for both tables totaled $218.00.

Review: Well, I purchased 4 Coby tablets 3 at HHGreg. Than another one about 2month later online at Walmart online store. I was very happy with my purchase, until one broke. The person I spoke with explain to me some of reason they will except your tablet back for repairs and replacement.It cost about $8.00 for shipping and along with the tablet I was instructed to send in a $15.00 dollar money order (around April/2013). I have not heard from the company. Shortly afterwards I had an problem with a second one. I was under company warranty for the particular repair (first 30 or 80days) But still under warranty for 1 year of purchase. I was not able to talked to a live person as before. They redirect you to a website to leave a email. But for some reason my Emails did not go thru. So at this point I can not get in touch with them by phone or Email.. I and so upset and feel like they stole from me, especially since I sent them a $15.00 dollar money orderDesired Settlement: To replaced the tablet I mailed in, and the shipping, and my $15.00 dollar money order(because they taken to long). And also contact information for my second tablet that's in need of repair. The other Two is working fine.

Review: I MAILED A DEFECTIVE MID9042 TABLET LAST MAY ** 2013 TO COBY USA TOCOBY RETURN/TABLET, [redacted] AS I WAS INSTRUCTED SINCE THE TABLET WAS STILL IN WARRANTY. THEY WOULD SAY THAT THERE IS NO UPDATE STATUS. FINALLY THE CUSTOMER SERVICE PERSON SAID THAT THE WAREHOUSE WAS CLOSED. THIS REALLY WAS A NIGHTMARE. THEN FIFTEEN DAYS AGO I TRIED TO SEND AN EMAIL AND I ONLY GOT A REPLY SAYING THAT THE EMAIL ADDRESS IS NO LONGER VALID AS OF 7/**/2013. EVERYTIME I CALL THE CUSTOMER SERVICE NOW THEY WOULD GIVE ME A RUN AROUND WHICH IS A RECORDING.Desired Settlement: I PREFER TO GET A REPLACEMENT TABLET FROM THE COMPANY. THE TABLET COST $156.00 PLUS THE $15.00 OF MONEY ORDER THAT I MAILED WITH THE TABLET. IF THEY CAN'T I WANT A REFUND CHAECK FOR A TOTAL OF $171.00

Review: I bought a Coby tablet for my granddaughter this pasted Christmas.It stopped working 2 months later.I sent it back to Coby as they requested with a money order for shipping and handling.I was told it would take 4 to 6 weeks before they would send me another one.It has been almost 5 months!I mailed it to them with a copy of the receipt ,money order and explained the problem on April *.I called them many times and got the run around such as ;"we are really busy it will take more time."Or "we are working on it." It`s almost September!! I called again this week and cannot get thru.A machine comes on telling me to go to there website. I cannot understand why it it is taking so long.......and the fact that no one will contact me on this matter.Desired Settlement: I would like the money back I spent on the tablet and the money {money order} for shipping and handling.

Review: Contacted customer service in April with tablet defect. Was instructed to return to company with a $15.00 money order for return shipping. Sent by ups on April [redacted] 2013 and they received it on May [redacted]. Called to follow up 2 weeks later and check status or repair request. Was told to allow 8 weeks from date received. Called again second week of July and was told to allow additional time. I notified the customer service rep at that time that I was moving at the end of July and was concerned about receiving my shipment. CSR took my new address information and stated he would check into my order for service and would call me back. I asked that they leave a message on my home voicemail and was told that they would. I never received a call back. I have sent at least 2 e-mails to their company and also left a phone message on the CEO voicemail asking for assistance. I still have not received any responses. In the past 2 weeks I have called every day and can not reach anyone. The customer service phone number is now no longer in service and I can not leave another voicemail message because all mail boxes I can get to are full.Desired Settlement: I would like to have a repaired or replacement tablet delivered as originally promised and need to have it delivered to my current address. The telephone number has remained the same. New address has been provided in the Revdex.cominformaion request.

Review: The MP3 player ([redacted]) I received as a gift was defective; jacks would not fully fit into the receptacle. On 4/*/13 I talked with [redacted] @ Coby and followed her directions to return the item with note, $6 mail order for return postage, proof of purchase to Coby and item would be returned in 6 to 8 weeks. From 6/** till today 7/*, I have tried to contact the company eleven times, using at least 4 different numbers, and have yet to reach a person on the phone to see where my player is. It has been almost three months since I sent it in to them.Desired Settlement: That I receive my repaired item back.

I have been trying without success for four months to resolve this and have not heard anything from COBY. They do not answer phones, either. I will not purchase another COBY product. [redacted]

Review: I purchased a Coby tablet for my daughter for a Christmas gift in 2012. She received the gift and enjoyed it for 1 month until she accidently broke the touch screen with her elbow. Icalled Coby to request instructions to return for repair. They said the cost would be $55.00. Okay, I paid the money and mailed the tablet back to them for repair. It took three months for them to return a new tablet to me. Upon receiving the "new" tablet, it did not work. I called them again and they responded in saying mail it back at no charge and we will exchange it. okay. I did. That was 4 months ago and I am yet to received any status on it and certainly no tablet has arrived at my home. This will be the very last Coby product I buy and I will certainly not advertise for them. I will explain to folks what has happened to me. Review: In August of 2013, I purchased a Coby Kyros MID1065 tablet from Newegg.com. Never had any problems with it all. Always worked great. It lasted about six months, it just won't turn on after charging on Jan. [redacted] 2014, and I've tried calling and accessing the website with no success. My warranty is good for a year, and I have no way of getting my device checked out since it isn't working. I paid $205 for this tablet and now that it's malfunctioned I can't even talk to anyone about troubleshooting. I have no clue on what's going on. Phones don't connect to a person or allow to leave a message and website just displays company logo with no links on page.Desired Settlement: I purchased the product and was given a one year warranty, so that warranty should be honored by the company instead of just ignoring them and leaving no way to contact them. I would like another unit or a cash refund if possible.

Review: Brought a 10 inch tablet for christmas of 2012. The table did not work right. Sent it to be repair, 3 months later after repeating calls sent me a tablet back. This tablet only worked for a month the most and ever since I can not get onto the tablet. You turn it on and it freezes that you can do NOTHING with it. This was a Christmas gift that the party couldn't even enjoy. I have tried so many times to call, but the phone number is no longer in service. I have tried to write and nothing came back. This is my last choice of trying to get either my money back or a replacement with the company. I am hoping you are able to help me. Review: Hello,

I received a TV from the company Coby as part of a promotion that was being run by Sleepy's when I purchased a bed from Sleepy's in Sept. 2012. The TV is no longer working and it has been less than a year that I've had it. I tried numerous times to contact them regarding this issue and there is no response to my emails and I cannot get through on the phone numbers listed for them. Here is a copy of the email that I sent to them on 7/**/13. I followed up on 7/**/13 and then again on 7/**/13. I emailed them at [redacted] and also emailed at [redacted]. I also "dropped them a line" on their own website and no response. Can someone please help me to resolve this issue?

I got this TV in Sept. 2012 and there is no picture, only sound. Please advise how this can be rectified.

I tried calling [redacted] and no operator answered and the operator’s vm is full. Then I tried to call [redacted] which is constantly busy. I tried calling [redacted] and the number is not in service even though it was left on the recording of the first number I called. Then I tried calling [redacted] and no operator answered and her vm is full. I sent an email earlier today and no reply back. I need a response or I will be reporting this company to the Revdex.com as I feel like I am being given the run around with all of these different/invalid phone numbers and I cannot speak with a live person. My phone# is [redacted] and my email address is [redacted]. Also, your website says that your hours of operation are M-F 9am – 9pm EST but the recording on the phone says it’s M-F 8:30am – 5pm EST.

Review: I purchased a tablet in November 2012. By May 2013, it was broken. I called Coby, and they explained that it was still under warranty. If I returned it, we would be given a replacement. I returned the tablet with all required packaging and information along with a $15 money order by UPS on June **, 2013. I called on July *, 2013, and was told it takes at least 8 weeks to receive a replacement. On September *, I tried calling every number available for the business I could find on the Internet. They either disconnect immediately or redirect to the website. The website will not accept emails, and their [redacted] page is outdated. This is obviously a scam to get the product back and resell it without reimbursement.Desired Settlement: I want a refund for the purchase price and and my $15 money order. In total, $90.

Review: In December 2012 I purchased 2 Coby Kyros 7 inch MID 7034 tablets which came with a 1 year warranty. In February 2013 one became defective, I contacted customer service and was advised to return the tablet for replacement. I did so to the address provided which was in [redacted]. The replacement was received in April.

On 6/**/13 I again contacted customer service as the second tablet was also defective. I spoke with a [redacted] in customer support.[redacted] instructed me to send the tablet to his attention at [redacted]. Postal tracking shows tablet was delivered on 6/**/13 at 12:29 pm. I have tried several times to contact customer service either by phone, email and registered mail. I cannot get through to anyone by phone, my emails are not answered and the last 2 letters I mailed were returned marked refused. On each mailing I have included copies of invoices, postal tracking, copies of previous mailings, etc.. I still have not received the replacement tablet.Desired Settlement: This company needs to stand behind their customers as they publish they will do. Warranties are useless if you cannot contact customer service.

Review: I purchases a COBY Tablet model number MID9740-8 last year and after 4 months of use, it stopped working. I had purchased an extended warranty through the retailer, and when I filed a claims with them, they advised that it fell under the manufacturer's warranty. In June **, 2013, I send the tablet, a money order and a letter to COBY requesting a replacement. I was instructed to do this by the COBY customer service department. When I spoke to the customer service rep at COBY they indicated a replacement would be sent to me within 6-8 weeks.

I tried calling COBY and sending an email to their customer services department with no response. The number tells you to go to the website, so customers end up in a circle with no response. On October **, 2013, I called the extended warranty program through the retailer that I purchased the tablet through. They advised me that COBY is no longer in business.Desired Settlement: I would like the item returned to me as the retailer indicated that if I could provide the item, they would refund me what I paid for it.

Review: I ordered a Coby Kyros 7" android tablet from [redacted] for a Christmas gift in Dec 2012. It worked about 2 months. Emailed the seller from [redacted] and they gave me instructions to send it back and have it fixed. I did all the steps and sent money and I haven't heard a word from them. I sent it to an address in [redacted]. I did get someone one time and they said they did get the tablet and it was being processed. That is the last time I have heard from anyone. All I want at this point is a new tablet or my money back.

Review: I purchased a Coby Tablet for my husband in December 2012. In June 2013 the

tablet displayed a white screen, so I called the Coby USA Consumer Service

hotline. The tablet is under warranty. Coby USA [redacted] emailed me information on where to send the tablet (Coby Returns, [redacted]) for repiars / replacement. The

instructions also stated that I needed to send a $15.00 money order to cover

the cost of shipping the tablet back to me once repaired. At 3 weeks, I

called the Consumer Service number (###-###-####) that I had initially

called to get an update on the repairs. I was told the order had been

processed and due to being shut down for inventory, no orders had been

shipped out and they were hopeful to resume shipments the following week

(July **, 2013). It was at this time I was told it would take 4-6 weeks for

repairs / replacements to be processed. At 6 weeks, I called back to the

same Consumer Service number and the options had changed. You can no longer

reach a live person and the recording refers you to the website,

[redacted]. I then emailed back [redacted], the [redacted] I

spoke with when I first encounterd the warranty issue with the tablet, he

emailed me back and also referred me to the website. It appeared as if he

did not even read my email as he did not respond to any of the questions I

had nor did he refer me to the proper person / department as I requested. To

date (8/**/13), it has been 8 weeks and I still have not been able to reach

a live person and have not received the tablet back. I researched other

phone numbers in the company in hopes of reaching a live person that could

help me. I called the Corporate Headquarters in New York (###-###-####) and

dialed the operator of the company. You cannot leave a message as the

mailbox is full. I decided to look up the CEO of the company and call him, a

[redacted]. I was able to leave a message on his voice mail, however at

this time, the message has gone unanswered and the call is unreturned. I

checked to see if the money order had been cashed and as of 8/**/2013, the

money order has not yet been cashed.Desired Settlement: I would like the tablet returned and in working order, or a cash refund of the product so I can go and get another one.

Review: I have tried contacting Coby Electronics through their telephone number listed, which in turn has a recording that states to go to their website. When you go to their website, it gives the same exact phone numbers, two different emails (which both kick back your email as undeliverable, and it also has a place to 'leave a message online' form, but it will not process the messages either. I am having issues with my son's tablet which we purchased for Christmas. I have searched online for answers to my issues, and it seems there are multiple people who are having problems contacting Coby, and with their products.Desired Settlement: I would be happy with an answer on how to fix my problem, however, if this is how Coby Customer Support is, I will refund the tablet and go through a reliable company!!!

Review: SUBJECT: COBY PRODUCTS, SUPPORT AND RETURNS...READ THIS

DO NOT BUY ANY COBY PRODUCT, EVER.

UPDATE: It is August *, 2013. This is almost 90 days since my return for exchange. Now they route all calls to a website. More stalling and stealing. Called again, today, 1 August. NO MORE CS call center! No answer at ANY number. No box for messages. No one. THIS IS A RIP-OFF.

Read what has happened to me on a standard product return and ask yourself if you need this low-grade music products (purchased on [redacted]) causing you the same incredible hassle. They have never e-mailed or called me about any aspect of my return or replacement.

Overview: Since May [redacted], 2013 when I returned a Coby product they have given me the most ** runaround ever. Not only do their [redacted]-produced products breakdown easily, but just try to return them!!!

Here is what has happened to me since May [redacted].

(Below this timeline is the letter I sent with the $6.00, [redacted] receipt and the product to Coby. Here is the ** this POS company has done to me since.)

Sent Letter May [redacted]. Timeline that followed:

Called Coby -- two numbers ###-###-#### and ###-###-#### that are both stonewalls. Then FINALLY got CS (customer service - a call center not connected with corporate, or factory or return warehouse)

1) Called a week after mailing to ask if they got the return. They had to move. Will take a month to move out to California so the boats from China can deliver these products and they can make more money than from Knowlton, Georgia with reduced shipping. Call back in a month.

2) Called one month later they have to close for inventory of new factory. Call back in two weeks. They also said the replacement of the item will be delayed because of shipping from CAL to FL.

3) Called two weeks later. The person in charge of reading the CS requests about my status is now on vacation. They don’t know exactly when she will be back. Call next week.

4) Called next week and the women who processes the requests is nowhere to be found. Call back. “They are really trying to help.”

5) Called last week to check status and they tell me the product is on back order since October!!

5) Called yesterday to see if any progress put in three request to upgrade. I told them I didn’t care if the color is pink about now. They said “they are doing all they can.”

6) At about the 10 week mark, today, I called and was told I was suppose to call corporate:

###-###-#### and talk to someone named [redacted] at [redacted].

Not valid.

Or call [redacted].

Not valid.

Dialed O for operator.

No operator.

Told to dial O to leave message.

Mailbox full.

7)Then I was suppose to call corporate at this number: ###-###-#### and talk to the same [redacted] at [redacted].

No answer at [redacted].

Dialed O.

No operator.

8) Called CS back and they told me “they were doing all they can.”

9) Called today, 1 August. NO MORE CS call center! No answer at ANY number. No box for messages. No one. THIS IS A RIP-OFF.

Now I am going to do all I can:

DO NOT BUY ANY COBY PRODUCT, EVER. INVESTIGATE the [redacted].

In addition, I have already filed complaints wit the Sate of Fl, Division of Consumer Services, and the Revdex.com of Cal and FL.

I have owned two Coby MP3 Players. My current is the 620 8GRED and while I enjoy it and it seems to come on, the head sets ALWAYS start distorting or just don’t make contact.

They just do not seed properly and I usually never get anything, let alone clear sound.

I deleted all the personal music and stuff so it is empty.

I have tried multiple brands of headsets and plugs (especially Coby) and it his cost me more than the players!! None of them work.

Both players still don’t work. I threw the 601 into the Atlantic out of frustration and bought the 620. Now it is doing the same thing. I have to adjust and adjust and it still distorts at the plug-in no matter if it straight or L-shaped Plug.

Coby CS told me to send this, my address/phone below, my [redacted] receipt (6 months old), the player Coby model#620 8GBRed, and a $6.00 M.O. addressed to Coby.

Review: Contacted the company due to their product breaking after 6 months. They send the warranty will cover the product, and they will ship out a label in order to ship the product back to them.

After waiting 4 weeks and not receiving a shipping label I tried to contact the company both through email and telephone. Have not gotten any type of response to any of my messages.Desired Settlement: I would like for my TV to either be repaired or replaced.
