Review: I have called the number provided by Coby to return my tablet for repairs. Still under warranty. I talk to a guy who gave me the address to return to with $15 money order. It has been 4 weeks and I have tried to call 5 different number for Coby and emailed 3 times and no response. The numbers when calling direct to you their website. cobyusa.com. I want my tablet returned and my money. I am frustrated with them how can you sell a product and not follow though with warranty and repair.

Review: I had a Coby Kyros tablet that the screen cracked, so I called the number listed in the product package. Which is or was ###-###-####, which now just beeps when you call, which has been over 8 months with no replies for the repairs. I talk with a [redacted] about the repairs and costs. He said that I needed to send 45.00 to repair the screen because its was not under warranty due to weather related. I sent the money order and the product to Coby consumer returns and have not received information from other than the had not come up for repairs. Review: I purchased a Coby Kyros tablet in May of 2012, and it stopped working in April of 2013. The product came with a one-year warranty. I contacted coby and followed the instructions to return the item to the warranty department in Savannah, GA. I included the item, original packaging, purchase receipt, contact information, and a money order for $15 to cover return shipping. They were to either fix the item, or replace it- the process was to take 4-6 weeks. I sent the item via FedEx and it was received at the warranty department on May *, 2013. After 6 weeks with no response, I contacted the company via email. I was told the item was defective, and that they would send an upgraded product. I have sent many emails and called the customer service department to find out the status only to be told that they do not know, and have no way looking of it up to see when it will ship. I both emailed and mailed via postal service a letter and copy of all my receipts requesting a full refund- I no longer have any interest in any of their products and do not want it replaced. It has now been 15 weeks and I still have no replacement tablet or a response from the company.Desired Settlement: I am requesting a refund for the amount of $127.25. This is to cover the $97.25 purchase price I originally paid for the tablet, for the $15 money order I sent to have my tablet returned (USPS Money Order #[redacted]), and for $15 to cover the FedEx charge for me shipping the product to coby warranty dept. (FedEx tracking #[redacted]).

Review: I bought my son a Coby tablet for Christmas (purchased it 11/**) and the internal plug broke after 3 months of used. I mailed the tablet in for warranty repair on April [redacted] and they received it April [redacted]. They told me the normal repair time is 5 weeks. So after 5 weeks I called back and they said I should have it back around June [redacted]. So on 6/** I called asking where it was and they said it was still processing because they were waiting for that model to come in stock and to call back the next week. This went on every week- I called in and they kept telling me to call back as it was still processing.

Finally July [redacted] I called and spoke with a [redacted]. He advised me the status was still processing and that they are moving their warehouse from GA to CA so things were delayed but he would email me with a more defined status later. I got an email later that day stating "Hello! Here is the information I received today…”Good morning, Please note that our warehouses are closed for midyear inventory this week. No outbound orders will ship this week.”

On 7/** I got another email from [redacted] saying "Hello! Customer Service has not received an updated shipping report this week, so I am unable to verify if your unit has been shipped out yet. The report from last week only shows that it was processed for shipping on July [redacted]. For further assistance, please call Coby Customer Service at ###-###-####."

So, of course I called them again and was told that because they are still moving the warehouse everything is backed up but it is scheduled to ship July [redacted] as it's on "top priority shipment" but they didn't have a tracking number yet. So I waited a few days and called back on the [redacted] for a tracking number and a very rude representative said I had to call back on 8/* for an update because they didn't have any updates and wouldn't until then. I got very upset with him and asked for the complaint department and he gave me the phone number of ###-###-#### Ext. [redacted] When I called back on 8/* I cant get through to anyone because they now have their phones turned off with a pre-recorded line telling everyone to go to their website for assistance. I have tried calling back multiple times everyday since and it's the same message. So I emailed the contacts I have (both [redacted] and the warranty email on their website), but have not received a response. I also called the complaint lie over a month ago only to receive a voicemail and haven't received a response either.

This has been a frustrating experience as this was an 8 year old's Christmas gift and he only got to use it for a little over 3 months. Then he didn't have back for his birthday in May or during the entire summer break. And for me to have to call in countless times week after week just because this company can't get their move organized is unacceptable. Many customers have suffered due to this as there are tons of complaints similar to mine within the last few months online.Desired Settlement: I would like either a brand new replacement of the tablet I purchased or one of better comparison, or a full refund of the purchase price. I would also like the $15 shipping cost to be refunded that I paid to them. I also feel that the company should add some extra incentive as an apology for all of the trouble, frustration and time wasted that I and my son have had to g through.

Review: Coby stole my children's tablets! and my money order and my shipping there. I paid $47.52 for shipping both ways (that includes a $30 money order to return it and shipping it there with $200 insurance). I have proof of receipt that they received my two tablets on July [redacted]. Again, I insured them for $200 and included a $30 money order for return postage. When I called a few days later, they said that proof was not in their system yet. I originally spoke to [redacted] on 7-*-13. He told me that they would just replace the defective ones with new ones. When I called to check as they recommended weekly, I now cannot get a response. Now Coby phone numbers don't work, no one answers, or it says mailbox full. Directs you to email which comes back undeliverable! I sent them insured for $200 and can prove that they were delivered on 7-**-13 at the [redacted] location. I am extremely upset, we are on unemployment and this purchase last year for our boys Birthday's was now easy for us. Now they took the tablets our money and ran! I am aware that I am not the only case. This is happening to many other customers. Something needs to be done. This is just not right! Why can't someone go there in person and confront these thieves!Desired Settlement: They promised to replace these tablets. They flat out lied to me. They stole tablets from my 7 and 9 year olds, what kind of company does this to children? I want a full refund for all my expenses plus the price of the tablets. $109.99 each from [redacted], I paid for 2. I have the receipt if needed. That's a total of $267.50. They told me they would replace them with the newer version of the ones I purchased. They have not answered my emails. They don't answer the phone. They must be out of business. What are my options? They were bought out by a company called Gordon Brothers, I have contacted them several times and they refuse to return my phone calls.

Review: My father brought me a coby kyros 7" tablet for christmas of 2012. The power jack (DC input) came a loose and now I can't charge my tablet. I'd called best buy where my father brought the tablet. They gave me an 800 number to call, my mother and I have been trying to call and we can't get through. Then we called the headquarters and no response. All I want is to get my tablet fixed so I can use it again.

Review: I purchased a coby tablet off of QVC in November, The plug in fell into tablet and I contacted coby back in february to find out how I mail it in. I then talked to sombody who gave me information. I finally got around to mailing it to the address that was given to me only to find out that they have moved and so my product was shipped else where, which was then denied and was sent back. I have a 1 year warranty on this product and spent alot of money to have it shipped. I have tried calling this company several times. But NONE of the numbers are up and working. I am constantly getting a new number given to me and still nothing. I even emailed the company and nothing. I am very upset that I am being ignored or jerked around. Review: I ORDERED A REPLACEMENT CHARGER (120VAC TO 5VDC) FOR MY KYROS MID7015 INTERNET TABLET BACK IN JUNE OF THIS YEAR. I FOLLOWED THE PROCEDURE OF SENDING A $6.00 MONEY ORDER TO THE COBY ELECTRONICS CORP. PARTS DEPT. IN [redacted]. I NEVER RECEIVED THE CHARGER. I HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO CONTACT ANYONE AT COBY BY PHONE OR LETTER OR EMAIL. I WROTE THE PARTS DEPARMENT, AND THE LETTER WAS RETURNED SAYING "REFUSED", UNABLE TO FORWARD. YOU CANNOT REACH ANYONE BY PHONE, AS THE NUMBER YOU CALL ONLY REFERS YOU TO THE INTERNET. I HAVE TRIED CONTACTING THEM BY EMAIL, BUT HAVE GOTTEN NO RESPONSE. THE COST OF THE CHARGER IS NOT A PROBLEM, IT IS THE LACK OF SERVICE AND RESPONSE TO MY ORDER. Review: Unable to find a active # or website for customer service or tech support for malfunctioning procuct & inability to return item.Desired Settlement: I just want 2 working digital picture frames to replace the defective ones I got for my Mother & Grandmother in law. Review: I mailed my Mobile Internet Device (MID), a copy of receipt (which is attached), and a $15 money order payable to COBY Electronics Corporation to the following address:

The receipt copy submitted included the description of the problem, which states “The Mobile Internet Device (MID) will not turn on. When you turn it on the COBY logo appear and the MID never boot up.” In addition, I included my name, phone number, and address that I wanted the unit shipped to.

According to USPS tracking record the MID was delivered at 9:45 am on 4/**/13. I was told by Coby's customer service representative that the MID was logged in on 6/*/13, six weeks after receipt, and that it would be another four to six more weeks before I would receive a replacement MID. I called on the week of 6/[redacted] and was informed that a new tablet would be shipped to me, but the customer service representative could not tell me when it would be shipped and told me to call back in a few weeks.

So, I called on 7/[redacted] and was told that the warehouse was being inventoried and that nothing was being received or shipped and to call back on 7/[redacted]. I have called ###-###-#### at least twice weekly since the 7/[redacted] during the hours of operation (between 10 – 5) and continue to call, but I get the same recording every time. The recording states “Thank you for calling Coby Electronics for services or support visit [redacted]” twice and then the system disconnects the call.Desired Settlement: I am requesting assistance in fulfilling my claim expeditiously through either the receipt of replacement MID or a refund of the cost of my MID and the $15 shipping fee. In addition, if the MID is replaced I am requesting that the warranty is prorated to compensate for the time that the MID has been in Coby’s possession. I estimate that approximately more than 6 months of warranty remains, since Coby warranties generally provide a one-year labor and parts warranty for tablets.

Review: we purchased a coby tablet thru walmart online and within a year it quit working. we contacted walmart and they told us it was still under manufacturers warranty so they gave me the phone number to coby. I contacted coby and was told to send the tablet to them along with a $15 money order for them to return it after repairs were finished. I did so and confirmed through the post office that my tablet was delivered to the address coby provided on 7-**-13. I never received any info from coby that they received my tablet and since then I have been unable to get an update on the status of my tablet. I have made countless emails and phone calls with no luck! all calls are redirected back to the web site and the web site said that email was no longer valid!!! I have no idea how to get ahold of them and get my tablet back!! I feel I have been scammed!!!! I am now trying to get my money back thru walmart since I did have an additional protection plan thru them but they are telling me that they cant help me since I don't have the tablet any more!!!!! help!!!Desired Settlement: I would love some kind of explanation and a refund so that I can put the money toward a tablet from a better company that has customer service!!!

Review: Unable to get in contact with the companies techsupport and/or customer service department. Phone number listed on the site (###-###-####) is only a recording that tells you to go to their website. I sent an email on 8/** and have not received a response back to my inquiry. My husband also sent an email, 2 weeks ago and still hasn't received a response. Then I looked up their corporate information. Same thing, just a voice recording that tells you to call customer service at ###-###-####, but the phone # is no longer in service.Desired Settlement: My daughter got a Kyros Tablet for xmas. The device speakers is longer working. The product has a 1 year warranty on it. I would like for them to replace the device or provide a refund for the full value of the product in a form of a check so that I can purchase another Tablet from a reliable company.

Review: I sent the Tablet in for warranty repair on 4-**-2013. I was told 4-6 weeks for the repair . I have contacted Coby several times and have been told it will ship in the next few days . The last time that I spoke with a Coby representative I was told that all products were shipped to California and a ship date was not in the near future. Review: I have been calling the company and also using the computer to get more information and phone numbers. I couldn't find any valid numbers that are working. Everytime I called Coby Electronics there would be a recording that would say go to the official website; and I did but I could never get any support. So what I did was I sent a $15.00 money order for the service charge, and I still didn't get any response from them. I just want them to repair the tablet. I have a COBY MID7048, and my Serial Number Is: [redacted] . There has also been many complaints about how many customers cannot even contact COBY, plus it's on many forums and blogs where it's visible for you to see.Desired Settlement: I would like for COBY to send me another 7 inch Tablet with the camera because I have put in a lot of time calling COBY with no response at all.

I purchased the Multi-Touch Tablet through Fingerhut in December 2012. The tablet stopped working after six months(4/2013). I was advised to return the tablet(which I did in April 2013) to Savannah Georgia; with a $15.00 money order. I was advised by customer service that the entire process is expected to take 6-8 weeks to receive a replacement. I made calls to customer service from April to July to receive any recent updates regarding my service request. Now it is August and I still have not received my replacement. Today, I tried to contact the customer service center. Unfortunately, I was not successful. I tried several numbers listed in the official website and NONE of them works. I tried the headquarters in NYC. No one answers. Over these past few months, I can't help but believe that I have been given the run-a-round. So I decided to file this complaint; hoping that there will finally be a resolution.Desired Settlement: If a replacement is not possible; then I would expect a refund by check.

Review: Purchased a 32 inch Coby television that went black in less than a year. First tried calling and was directed to there web site (###-###-####). The web site provided the same phone number, technical support and customer support email address was provided. Sent emails to both and they were returned undeliverable. Called another number (###-###-####) an never got to speak to a person, just an answering machine. If this company is out of business and there implied contracts/warranties will be worthless.
