Review: I bought a coby tablet for my son for Christmas of 2012. By febuary of 2013 the tablet wouldn't download any apps and was running very slowly. I contacted toys r us where I purchased it from and they told me I have to send it back to the manufacture because it had a year warranty on it. I called the company and they tried to fix it over the phone and couldn't so I was told to send my tablet with explanation of the problem and a $15 money order so they could return item back to me. I was also told that it would take 90 days for item to be returned, I started to call around the end of June of 2013 because I didn't hear anything .I was told at first the shipping department was shutting down and everything was being moved to their California site, then in July it was shut down for the holiday. but they were sending me an upgraded version ,but wouldn't know when due to shut down. I called again 2 weeks later and was told they have no shipping order right now and was not sure when my tablet would be sent out again. I was told that everytime I called for the next month always going to be sent but never knowing when. By end of July the phone calls stopped going threw and was told by a machine to redirect to the company website cobyusa.com. I tried emailing them 4 times telling to send back my tablet . Still no response . They took and kept my devise as well as my money. I want a refund since I've had to purchase anther for my sonDesired Settlement: I paid 189.99 plus new York taxes and 15 dollars money order to send new one back and also 10.60 to ship plus 1.20 for money order that comes to 226.80

Review: In December of 2012 I purchased a Coby brand television from a local HHGregg store. By the middle of April 2013 the TV suddenly stopped working. I contacted the HHGregg store I purchased it from but they said it was under manufacturers warranty and suggested that I should contact Coby Electronics for repair/replacement.

On April **, 2013 I contacted Coby via email with my request for warranty repair. I received a response on April **, 213 from [redacted], Supervisor - Consumer Technical Support. He advised me to send my TV to Coby, along with a $25 money order and they will repair or replace it.

I followed his instructions, and on May *, 2013 I sent a $25 money order along with my TV to Coby Electronics via USPS.

Since that date, I have contacted Coby over 10 times, via email and phone, to inquire on the status of my TV. I did receive one reply from [redacted] indicating that it could take up to 6-8 weeks for me to get my TV back. There used to be a phone number I could call and speak with someone, who could not give me any details besides to confirm that they did receive my TV, but no further details were available. I have also been informed by Coby that they were in the process of moving locations, so it is also my suspicion that my TV has been lost during the transition.

Currently, it has been almost 3 months since I sent my TV in, and the phone number to the company is no longer in service. I have had no replies to my email requests for over a month now, and I feel like I was scammed. Coby Electronics has my TV and $25, and I have nothing to show for it.Desired Settlement: The outcome I desire is:

1. A response from Coby Electronics in written form (email is acceptable) with an acceptable offer of resolution

2. A refund of $43 to cover the cost of the $25 money order I sent them to repair my TV which never happened, and the $18 I paid to ship it to them

3. A check or prepaid credit card in the amount of $280, which is the MSRP of the TV I sent them and never got back.

Review: I returned my Coby tablet for warranty repair/replacment on June [redacted], 2013, along with a $15 return fee required by the company. I communicated with Customer Support by phone on July [redacted] to determine the status of my request and was told at that time that my tablet was being replaced by you and that it was on the "docking station," however there was no tracking number available at that time. Since then I attempted to contact the company by phone, as I still haven't received the replacement, beginning on August [redacted], however the phone goes immediately to a recorded message referring me to the website, then disconnects. I've attempted to email personally as well as through the website and haven't received a response. I unfortunately, through some searching, noticed that there are 68+ customer complaints through Consumer Affairs, all almost identical in their issues with the Coby company. Only wish I had done so much research before I purchased a Coby product, as I will never again!Desired Settlement: If any resolution ever comes with this company, I'd appreciate any type of refund for the purchase amount of the tablet ($99), and possibly the cost of the required return shipping ($15).

Review: Tablet was purchased through a retailer as a Christmas present. By April the power port was defective and Coby Electronics was contacted about the problem by email. An email response was sent instructing me to return the tablet for repair along with $15 for return shipping since it was a defect in their opinion.

Followed the instructions and returned the tablet the middle of May by FedEx. After 2 months contacted Coby Electronics and was told it was sitting on the docks ready to be shipped call back in at the end of the week and they could give me a tracking number. When I called back they said they were working off of an old spreadsheet and that they would send a message to customer service and I would get information in 2 business days. I never received the email and now there is no way to contact the company except email and it gets rejected.Desired Settlement: My son has been without a tablet and I would like it replaced with a new model or totally reimbursed for the tablet and shipping charges.

Review: A defective Coby Kryos tablet was purchased from them in December 2012. It was returned for service or replacement in April 2013, 4 months ago, and never seen again. I have tried to contact and email them through every means possible to no avail. Either the number is out of service, disconnected, not answered or a loop message leading to another number that is disconnected or out of service.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for the tablet, the $15.00 return shipping charge and $10.68 postal fees. Total - $100.67. I would not trust another tablet from them.

Review: I purchased a COBY 32 inch TV on 10/**/12 from SHOPNBC. On Friday 7/**/13 while watching the TV at approximately 9pm I heard a sudden pop and the picture went out completely, I tried to troubleshoot on a number of occassions that night (unplugging and waiting about 3-5 mins to see if tv would reset) and to no avail. I contacted COBY today 7/**/13 and was told total parts/labor warranty was only for 90 days but parts covered for 1 yr. A number of employees there were very non chalant basically telling me that I may want to look at purchasing a new TV... One gentlemen told me to find a TV repair shop to fix and if acceptable by COBY then parts would be covered and I would pay only for labor, I asked for recommendations and none were given. My question is if I can't find anyone willing to fix tv how was I to solve this issue. I have tried to contact local repair shops and to no avail thus far. I called COBY again to complain again and this gentleman was very helpful, he gave me the email address to consumer care so I am just waiting on a response from them. I purchased this TV less than a year ago, it is defective and I am trying to get some satisfaction. Am I just to let this go and purchase another TV and let the money that was spent go? This is very disconcerting that a company would and could do this...Desired Settlement: I just want a replacement TV or the money spent to purchase another TV, or this TV fixed...

Review: I mailed product back to company for them to fix as it would not charge right I call them and they continue to tell me it is in the ware house then call some more and well we are trnsitioning to a differant ware house call corpraratre and no answers when they do answer a girl come on sounds like she is sleeping and transfures you some where else they are playing games with there consumers ihave ware house number no answer or call call back in 48 hours and we miight be able to tell you where your product is poor business poor product asked for product back or money they said it is in the warehouse they should be able to track item and give informationDesired Settlement: I would like my money back as now I feel they are a poor company a company with there name should not have such employess or uncared procedures and inability to answere there consumers with a direct answer and they are presenting them self as a scam I feel as if I have been scammed I now just would like my money instead of the prduct I recieved the tablet as a gift and have been unable to use it well as it as not worked right and now I have nothing no tablet now money and a scam company thank you

Review: I sent in my Kyro tablet on July [redacted] with track and confirm notice stating Coby Consumers Return receive it on July *, 2013. I was told they would have a tablet sent out with in 6 to 8 weeks it has been over 10 weeks. None of the numbers on the websites are in service and no email returns. I have tried to get in touch with this company for 3 weeks. Finally go onto Coby [redacted] and someone noted the company was bought out. I attached an email from [redacted]

Review: Tablet received defective. Power charging port broken. Sent tablet and $15 money order to Coby for repair. Two months later, still did not receive correspondence or tablet. Called Coby and was told my tablet was received and is in the warehouse. I was also told that their records indicate that tablet will be replaced with a new one. Was told it could take 2 additional weeks because they are in the process of moving the warehouse to California. It has now been several months and I still have no tablet. When I now try to call customer service, automatically goes to a voice mail that is full with no room to record a message. Have sent several emails, with no reply. Not only am I out the $15 money order, I have no tablet. Multiple online complaints with similar experience and no reply or resolution.Desired Settlement: I want either a new replacement tablet or money back for value of tablet returned.

Review: My coby tablet mid 1045 stopped working properly and is still within the companys COBY USA's 1 year warranty period. It turns on but does nothing else. Review: I received a defective MP3 player. I was told to return it and they would make repairs and return it in 6 to 8 weeks. I returned it and they received it on May *, 2013 at 9:18 AM. It has been more than 8 weeks. I have called the number given to me and got a message to call another number. When I called that number they told me to call the first number. I finally the corporate number and had to leave a message. I left the message for them to return my call. They never called me. I have been calling several times a week and just get a busy signal. I have not been able to talk to a real person. This has been going on too long and I just get a run around.Desired Settlement: Just send back my repaired player

Review: I purchased a COBY Table for my mothers birthday in Oct 2012. I would never stay connected online via WIFI anywhere that she went. We changed ISP and everything to get her table to work better. We chose in July 2013 to send it back to coby. I called coby and QVC( where I purchashed it from) in August , Sept and Oct. I finally go into contact with coby once and they said they will call me I was on the list. QVC said they are trying to reach someone for me as well. My mom needs the table for work.Desired Settlement: I would either like my money back or a band new table.

Review: I called the company to request a replacement tv stand, I was told to mail a money order and the product will be shipped. I got a call about a week or so later verifying the product number I requested. 6 weeks later I haven't received the product, I called to inquire and I get a recording to send an email. I've sent two emails and no response. I found another email address only to be told that the email is no longer active. Apparently this location is now out of business and no forwarding address to the other location to honor the request and no way to get my money back.Desired Settlement: I'd like the part I ordered TV base stand for [redacted] or a refund of $25.

Review: I like many others contact COBYUSA about a defective product. In this case a tablet. I was told to return the tablet for a replacement. I called in June to confirm mailing address and sent the item out to GA. The problem is the GA plant was already closed and my tablet is not lost in the mail system bouncing from closed location to closed location. I have tried to email and call COBY to no avail. No answer and disconnected numbers. I realize that I am one of many in this situation but felt I needed to do something against them and wanted to document my problem. If you can find a valid number I would appreciate it.!Desired Settlement: I either want a new tablet or the money for the one that broke 1 month after purchase... at least communication with a rep would be helpfull

Review: Coby tablet defective. Told by customer service to send tablet, proof of purchase, description of problem and a $15 money order (no personal checks excepted). I was told my product would be sent back to me either fixed or a new one in 4-6 weeks. Everything was sent on May [redacted] and through United states post office tracked delivery and was delivered on May[redacted]. I spoke to customer service several times after the 6 weeks passed, they had no info for me. When I them last week they no longer have a person u have to go to their website. Did that and sent an email to customer service and no response. I have read many negative comments and will call the store I purchased the tablet from and advise them not to sell coby products. I am making monthly payments to the store without my product I purchased.

Review: Purchased 3 tablets for 3 different people as gifts. Each one broke down in less than 30 days. First was sent back with the required 15 dollars. When it was returned 8 weeks later it would not hook up to the internet. Again was told send another 15 dollars and send it back. Again am still waiting. In the mean time the other 2 had malfunctioned and the people were unable to use them.Desired Settlement: Since all three are defective and the one that was returned resulted in another that was defective, it is obvious that this company and product does not sell products that are any good. I prefer to spend my money on a product that will work and lasts more than 2 weeks.

Review: Purchased Coby TFDVD3299 (TV/DVD Combo) in August 2012. Had issues with DVD player in March 2013. Contacted Coby and was told to take it to a local shop and have it diagnosed. Had it diagnosed and was told it needed the DVD assembly. Sent Coby all information and paperwork they asked for. Then was told part isn't available please ship TV back to us and we will replace it with a new unit. I shipped unit back at my expense ($74) and included a $30 money order for them to ship the new one back. That was on April **, 2013. Have called multiple times and have been told it is on it's way. Well it is now September 2013 and now they don't even answer their phone or emails.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive the replacement TV or a refund.

Review: I have a coby tv 32 inch TFT LCD that was purchase I have been trying to contact Electronic technical support. the TV is giving me problems since the first time I turned it on the remote control does not Work with the TV. I went to the store and bought a universal remote control thinking the remote control that the TV came with didn't work but is not the remote control its the TV itself that is not connecting to the remote control I have been trying to contact the company and all I get is machine making offers, after being on the phone for like 5 minutes or 10 listening to all these offers at the end I get a phone number to call. finally when I call that number it's also the same thing all it does is giving you offers, it doesn't connect you to no one to give help. I then go into the Internet find the company I see another different number I also called that number & still the same thing I get a machine talking about offers. so far I have called 3 telephone numbers and it's all just numbers with recording offering specials and nobody picks up at the end if you do not choose an offer the 3 telephone numbers hang up on you there is no way to contact these people & I am stuck with a TV that doesn't work and I am unable to contact coby Electronics Corporation I since then looked at reviews on this company and no one has been able to reach them at all I feel that they are selling merchandise that are defective in people are not able to contact them so therefore you lose your money and that is very unfair now I'm stuck with a TV that doesn't work and they have taken my money I would like to have a working TV I hope I get a response from this company soonDesired Settlement: exchange for a new tv that actually works

Review: Hi, I purchased a coby kyros tablet that has charging issues and would not turn on.

The customer representative told me that it was still under warranty and to send it in for

repair and to add $15.00 dollars for return fee, which I did. It was received on their end on July [redacted] 2013

and have not heard a response nor can I contact their office since their customer service number has no one

to answer it. I have sent numerous emails and have not gotten a reply. My tracking for the tablet I got the number to if needed It was sent on July [redacted] 2013.Desired Settlement: The tablet cost me $180.00 at a toys r us and I would like a full refund for the product I purchased
