Review: I contacted Coby about a problem with a tablet that was under warranty. They gave me the instructions for sending it in and a new tablet would be sent. I sent the tablet per their instructions, tracked the package via USPS and know that it was delivered. I never received a replacement tablet. I have emailed Coby a minimum of 4 times with no response to the status, and still no replacement tablet.Desired Settlement: I would receive the new tablet, or get my money back for the purchase.

Review: My mother's tablet had a problem with the power and it was still warrantied. I called the company in May and sent the tablet in for service. They told me it would be back in about 12 weeks. I sent it to [redacted]. I have a delivery confirmation and insurance that it got there. I have yet to receive back the tablet. I have tried to call however the phone just hangs up and says to go to the website. I have emailed twice with no response.Desired Settlement: I would either like my mothers tablet back, or the money for the money order for $15 I sent for service and the money for a refund of the tablet.

He stated that the [redacted] shop was closed and that if I didn't hear anything in a few days to call back. I tried calling several times and there was never an answer. Then on 8/*/13 I emailed [redacted] about my concern and heard nothing back. I know that they opened my email since I have return email when my mail is opened. Review: We purchased a Coby MP3 player (MP620-4G) with a serial #[redacted]. After less than a week the item will no longer power on. We have charged for days, pressed reset, etc and the item will not turn on.
We contacted Coby for a refund or replacement of this defective product through their website and never received a response.Desired Settlement: We would like the $20 that we spent on this product refunded to us. Do to the lack of response, we no longer trust the brand to provide a usable product, so a replacement product is not an acceptable resolution. We can send the defective product back if that is required to complete this resolution.

Review: Purchased an Android 4.0 Touchscreen Tablet through walmart.com on June **, 2012. By about March of 2013, the screen came loose in one area, so I called customer service and they told me how to send it in to get it either fixed or probably replaced--as it was still under warranty. On May **, 2013 I shipped it to the [redacted] location with a $15 money order. After waiting the 8 weeks for the return of the tablet, I began calling and emailing Coby, but was unable to reach anyone at anytime. I guessed they may have gone out of business, but wasn't certain. Very frustrated with the poor product and the failure to honor their warranty.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded for the cost of the tablet ($94.48) plus the money order of $15--total of $109.48. I have proof of the costs I wish to be refunded.

Sincerely,
Review: We purchased two Coby Kyros for our children in December from Walmart. One of the devices Model MID7033 S/N 052120045626 stopped working properly. After contacting Coby directily I was given instructions to send the device back along with a money order for $15.00. They would either repair or replace the device. The entire process would only take 4-5 weeks. After a week I called to verify that they did received the device. No one could verify that the tabled was even there. However, I had shipping confirmation that they did get it on 4/**/13, I mailed it on 4/**/13. After 4 weeks I called to check the status. At this time and every call after, no one had any information to give me. They did not see any details that the tabled had even been put in their system. I was told each time to call back next week and there should be an update. on 5/** I called again, talked with someone named [redacted] at ext. [redacted]. He said there was still nothing in their system and to call back 5/**. I called on 6/** and was finally given information that they were waiting on stock and they were sending a new tablet to me the following week. Today is June **th and I called again. STILL NOTHING! The person I talked with today said that the tablet was still awaiting repair. I have been given the run around so much on this issue. Both my children received a tablet and only one is able to use theirs. No one can give me an answer, I don't think anyone knows what is going on. Each time you contact this company they tell you to call back, look for it any day in the mail, each time it is a lie! I have contacted a supervisor in NY who has yet to call me back. I feel like I have been scammed and lied to! I have copies of my receipt where the device was mailed, a copy of my Money Order, the letter I sent along with the device as well as the receipt from Walmart where I purchased this on line. It is going on 9 weeks and Coby can't even give me a direct answer. I started calling weekly after the 5th week and had to stop because it was so frustrating and upsetting. I truly feel that I will not received my product back. This company does not care about the consumer! They could care less when I call. They give you very unreliable and shady answers.Desired Settlement: I feel it is the business' responsibility to replace this product. The product was under warranty.
Review: In December of 2012 I purchased a Coby brand television from a local HHGregg store. By the middle of April 2013 the TV suddenly stopped working. I contacted the HHGregg store I purchased it from but they said it was under manufacturers warranty and suggested that I should contact Coby Electronics for repair/replacement.
On April **, 2013 I contacted Coby via email with my request for warranty repair. I received a response on April **, 213 from [redacted], Supervisor - Consumer Technical Support. He advised me to send my TV to Coby, along with a $25 money order and they will repair or replace it.
I followed his instructions, and on May *, 2013 I sent a $25 money order along with my TV to Coby Electronics via USPS.
Since that date, I have contacted Coby over 10 times, via email and phone, to inquire on the status of my TV. I did receive one reply from [redacted] indicating that it could take up to 6-8 weeks for me to get my TV back. There used to be a phone number I could call and speak with someone, who could not give me any details besides to confirm that they did receive my TV, but no further details were available. I have also been informed by Coby that they were in the process of moving locations, so it is also my suspicion that my TV has been lost during the transition.
Currently, it has been almost 3 months since I sent my TV in, and the phone number to the company is no longer in service. I have had no replies to my email requests for over a month now, and I feel like I was scammed. Coby Electronics has my TV and $25, and I have nothing to show for it.Desired Settlement: The outcome I desire is:
1. A response from Coby Electronics in written form (email is acceptable) with an acceptable offer of resolution
2. A refund of $43 to cover the cost of the $25 money order I sent them to repair my TV which never happened, and the $18 I paid to ship it to them
3. A check or prepaid credit card in the amount of $280, which is the MSRP of the TV I sent them and never got back.

Sincerely,
Review: Product was sent in for repair as directed by customer service rep in early July. I have made several attempts to contact the company and have been unsuccessful. I have not received a return product or correspondence from Coby. Product was a replacement from original and still covered under warranty.Desired Settlement: I would like a new replacement, instead of the refurbished product as previously received or a credit to replace the product from Coby.

Review: Just like many other customer, Coby customer serive rep requested that I return a faulty tablet with a money order in order to return a new tablet or fix my tablet. After I did all that I never heard anything from the company so I called and all I would get is a customer rep telling me they are weeks behind on fixing their broken products and the process would take 6-8 weeks. (After calling two separate times) Well, it is passed the 6-8 weeks, I'm calling and now you can't even get a customer service rep on the phone. They are a rip off and should be investigated.Desired Settlement: Refund - Check now

Review: Ordered a coby tablet from Shopko, the tablet did not stay charged so Shopko advsied me to send it to Coby Electronics. I sent the product on 5/**/2013 with a money order numbered [redacted] in the amount of $15.00. The money order when looked up has been cashed. I didn't hear anything so tracked the product tracking number 1[redacted], it shows it was delivered to Savannah Ga and then Port Wentworth GA on May **, 2013. When I called in June to Colby I was told that it was in the shipping process but never received a tracking number. It is now August **,2013 and still have not recieved my PRODUCT. I call to get no where, I have emailed to not be responded to. I just found out From Shopko that Coby Electronics is out of business. So they took my tablet and my $15.00 money order and I have NO product. I would like my tablet and my $15.00 back I also would like my $10.00 for insuring the product to come and found out because it is over 60 days I can't get anything back. I sent the product to [redacted].Desired Settlement: I would like my tablet as well as my $25.00 back for the inconvience.

Review: A defective Coby Kryos tablet was purchased from them in December 2012. It was returned for service or replacement in April 2013, 4 months ago, and never seen again. I have tried to contact and email them through every means possible to no avail. Either the number is out of service, disconnected, not answered or a loop message leading to another number that is disconnected or out of service.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for the tablet, the $15.00 return shipping charge and $10.68 postal fees. Total - $100.67. I would not trust another tablet from them.

Sincerely,
Review: I returned my Coby tablet for warranty repair/replacment on June [redacted], 2013, along with a $15 return fee required by the company. I communicated with Customer Support by phone on July [redacted] to determine the status of my request and was told at that time that my tablet was being replaced by you and that it was on the "docking station," however there was no tracking number available at that time. Since then I attempted to contact the company by phone, as I still haven't received the replacement, beginning on August [redacted], however the phone goes immediately to a recorded message referring me to the website, then disconnects. I've attempted to email personally as well as through the website and haven't received a response. I unfortunately, through some searching, noticed that there are 68+ customer complaints through Consumer Affairs, all almost identical in their issues with the Coby company. Only wish I had done so much research before I purchased a Coby product, as I will never again!Desired Settlement: If any resolution ever comes with this company, I'd appreciate any type of refund for the purchase amount of the tablet ($99), and possibly the cost of the required return shipping ($15).
Review: I returned my tablet to coby consumer returns to get fixed. It is still under warranty. They recieved my tablet on June **, 2013 from UPS. I was instructed to send my tablet back with a $15 money order for my tablet to be shipped back to me. Then about two weeks later a representative told me would be recieving a new tablet because mine couldnt get fixed. About a month ago I started calling to find out about the status of my new tablet. I have not been able to speak with no one. I have called and emailed numerous times, up until yesterday I have not been able to speak with no one about my new tablet. I would like to get my new tablet as I was told I would.Desired Settlement: I would like to either recieve my new tablet or my money back.

Sincerely,
Review: I purchased a coby netbook for my son for christmas 2012. January 2013 the netbook began to malfunction. I called the company I bought it from, and I was told to contact the maker of the product customer service dept. because he only had for 1 month. I contact Coby, and they told me to send the product in with a $15 money order. I mailed it January **, 2013. They received according to my delivery confirmation slip. The product was mailed back to me in March. I found the product to be a different model netbook than what I initially purchased. I also found that the netbook was also defected. It would no download, the touch screen was off(not on point of what you select). I called Coby and explain to them. They told me to mail it back without the $15 money order, and to place a note inside stating it was defected. I mailed the item back to the company on April **, 2013. I called to confirm delivery this time. I spoke with Rep. name [redacted] on 6/**/2013. She told me she could see where the netbook had been received just 3 days prior to this call, but she could not see the status of the repairs, so she told me to call back in 3 days due to the company relocating from Savannah, Ga to CA. I began to be busy the remainder of the week, so I wasn't able to call back until 7/**/2013. I spoke with [redacted], and he stated he could not see anything. I told him I had spoken to [redacted] about 2 weeks ago and she was able to locate that the netbook was delivered and accepted by Coby regarding the tracking number. I also mailed a letter to corporate on 7/**/2013, and received no response. Now, there are no answers to any numbers when I call. I don't have the netbook I paid for, which was $100. All I have is mailing receipts, conversation times written down, and an upset child.Desired Settlement: I am so frustrated at this point. I would not like to have anything to do with this company at all. It's been over sxi months since I started this process. I had to deal directly with the companyy because there was an automatic 30 day warranty on the netbook. They were not honest, and they were misleading according to the warranty information that came with the product. I prefer a refunf in the amount I paid for the product which was $100. It was a little more , but it does not matter to me at this point. I only want to buy my child what he has earned and deserves.

Review: Tablet was purchased through a retailer as a Christmas present. By April the power port was defective and Coby Electronics was contacted about the problem by email. An email response was sent instructing me to return the tablet for repair along with $15 for return shipping since it was a defect in their opinion.
Followed the instructions and returned the tablet the middle of May by FedEx. After 2 months contacted Coby Electronics and was told it was sitting on the docks ready to be shipped call back in at the end of the week and they could give me a tracking number. When I called back they said they were working off of an old spreadsheet and that they would send a message to customer service and I would get information in 2 business days. I never received the email and now there is no way to contact the company except email and it gets rejected.Desired Settlement: My son has been without a tablet and I would like it replaced with a new model or totally reimbursed for the tablet and shipping charges.
